OGCookies
This update is coming to Xbox will this make the color mutations obtainable by painting?
powerstuck
Painting is awful unless you have an artistic hand. Yes you can technically reproduce a color mutation with painting, but if that scares you for trading, just bring one soap and ask the owner that you apply the soap to the dino to make sure there is no paint but a real mutation. Problem solved.
Nim
I'm not sure if you need soap to scrub a dino on the Xbox version, but on PC you can just hit the dino with a paintbrush and click Remove Painting or somesuch.
LadyofHats
the shiny color of the mutations can not be atained by the dull colors of the paint... it is still colors but they are diferent

Problem solved. I can see it now. Some poor schmucks are or going to get conned by buying a painted dino like it was a knock off gucci handbag. I just have to laugh a little when I read what you said ?

Or you use a tool to create skins you apply on dinos. I'm sure 99% of "completely painted and good looking dinos" are made with editors and not painted ingame.
