Introducing: Titanoceratops - Ark's Behemoth
TheMoschopsGuy posted a suggestion in Creature Submissions
Name - Titanoceratops apexTime Period - Late CretaceousClassification - CeratopsidaeSize - Around the size of a RexTamable - YesBreedable - Yes WILD Titanoceratops apex is a beatiful yet dangerous herbivore. His massive size and his horns scare most of the carnivores. A creature able to adapt to various habitats, Titanoceratops is found mostly alone , sometimes in pairs, in the woods, in the mountains or in the desert. While they're mostly peaceful, they may be alerted even by the smallest danger. Most of carnivores will die if they try to hunt this behemoth. The few who survive will probably die later due to bleeding. TAMING PROCESS Taming one is a complicated process. First, it must be isolated from others creatures, then it must be fed with a Giganotosaurus Heart . After a bit, like with the Carchar, you'll be able to ride it. With it, you must kill carnivores so that a "Fury Bar" is filled. Bigger carnivores fill the bar more than smaller ones. After the bar is full, you'll be rewarded with Ark's Behemoth. DOMESTICATED If you're able to tame this beast, you'll discover that it's a living tank. They're really great for farming resources, especially metls and rocks, and they're able to carry lots of things. They also are irritatd by big predators. If they're near one of them, they will be infuriated and they will go amok. An Infuriated Titanoceratops can destroy entire armies. They also have a small platform saddle. It's not very big, but it can be used to build a small base. ABILITIES RAM - A Titanoceratops can ram into enemy's buildings, wrecking them. Only TEK structures can survive to a Titanoceratops, even if they will still be quite damaged. FARMING RUSH -A Titanoceratops can ram into trees or rocks, and it will gather lots of resources, especially if they ram into rocks or metals. FURY RUSH - If a Titanoceratops is near to any carnivore bigger than a Carno, it will go amok. It will deal 25% more damage, but will be more vulnerable,as it will lose 25% of armor. BLEEDING TEAR - A Titanoceratops will hit enemies, causing lots of damage and, if the enemies are bigger than a Carno, they will be bleeding, too. DOSSIER INCOMING! (ARTWORK BY DILONG)- 3 replies

Pentaceratops imperialis; Gigantic Flexible Tank
PieTheMath posted a suggestion in Creature Submissions
(Rough doodle by Me) Pentaceratops, a massive ceratopsian with an even larger head. High health and high damage, this beast of a tame would allow its rider and anything behind it to go unscathed from the front, but remember to watch your rear as you would still be exposed to enemy attacks. Its heavily keratinized face allows P. imperialis to take little to no damage from attacks to its head, making it the perfect frontliner for a siege on a base or a boss fight. Along with this Pentaceratops could have a taunt like that of the magmasaur, drawing aggro so allies may finish off targets. Ability 1: Stance change As the name implies, this would be a stance change. Think something like how Amarga can change its spikes. These stances would be shown via a change in color on markings on its frill. Defensive Stance: Pentaceratops lowers its massive head, blocking incoming damage for the rider and any tames behind its massive frill. While in this stance its movement speed is greatly decreased, while its turning circle is reduced greatly, allowing it to keep its head to the enemy. Damage to the head in this stance would heal Pentaceratops for a fraction of what the damage value was, so keep that in mind when fighting these beasts. While in this stance its attacks would deal increased knockback and decreased damage, letting it create space for allies. Offensive Stance: Pentaceratops swings its head forward, its massive beak and horns ready to attack. In this stance Pentaceratops deals increased damage, but also takes increased damage, so use it sparingly. Movement speed in this stance is increased, with its turning circle being increased as well. Neutral Stance: No stat changes, base wild stance. Ability 2: Back Kick/180* swipe Since Pentaceratops woud be fairly vulnerable from behind, it only makes sense that it should have an answer to this. While in Defensive Stance, Pentaceratops would have a back kick. This attack would deal very little damage along with moderate knockback. While in Offensive Stance Pentaceratops gains a 180 degree swipe, this ability would have a significant cooldown as the drawback of offensive stance is the very wide turn radius, but would allow for Penta to get a pesky rex on its rear end if needed. This attack would deal heavy damage and perhaps apply a wound to the target. Ability 3: Taunt Pentaceratops lets out a loud roar, stamping its feet on the ground and shaking its massive frill in a threat display. This taunt would function like the magmasaur, drawing aggro to Penta so it or its allies can finish them off. Other Proposals; AKA Stuff I thought of but am iffy on Stomp: Would function like other stomps in the game, dealing high damage and some knockback. Indimidating roar: Much like Yutyrannus, this roar would scare off animals the same size and smaller than Penta. Platform Saddle: Maybe give it a platform saddle, I can live without this though.- 2 replies

i find a nice submission from the Fjördur vote from PuutyCuuty and will post it her again Species: Hippocampus Sarmaticus/Leviathan Time: Middle Miocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive I feel Ark's oceans need a bit of love. What better way than with a new mount. Seahorses are pretty cool looking as well as sea dragons, and who wouldn't want to ride around on one. A saddled mount of course They're like master ninjas, so this mount could have some sort of camo ability, maybe when they're within underwater vegetation. They could function similar to an underwater purlovia, and their first strike from being hidden could cause massive burst damage. Kinda like sneak damage. Because of this sneakyness, make all wild creatures non aggressive to it unless provoked. This includes the jellies. In fact, let's make this creature immune to jellies shock to have another mount to fight against them. Maybe even have cnidaria actively run away from them like the piranha does to the sarco. These could be the best biotoxin gatherers. (A sea slug pic, but the patterns and appendages look cool, and I invision this ark creature taking visual cues from it) Seahorses also are very tanky with their bone like ridges down their body. Instead of their body and tails being cylindrical, they're more square, thus able to take more damage and even be compressed and be able to bounce back unharmed. This means the ark creature could make for a very tanky mount with possibly even recoil damage. Add a good saddle for even more tanking. Seahorses also have great mobility, so it can control similar to an underwater Tapejara. This is a very interesting video below about Seahorses. Utility is a big thing the ocean needs too. With the males pouch, it could function as an underwater maewing, able to nurse or improve imprints. Maybe a player can use its pouch to be transported underwater and give oxygen. Again, immunity to jelly stings. They have these cool prehensile tails too. They can use this to latch onto different things underwater to stay put, and enter a sort of turret mode. We can use these prehensile tails to grab small to some medium sized creatures, which has a multitude of uses, but also make it able to pick players underwater from their mounts. To balance this, make it ridden only or something. These tails could have another purpose too. There aren't any underwater shoulder pets. Until they're grown, while they're still a baby/adolescent, they can use the tail to become a shoulder mount. Adding stun immunity or reduction, or adding armor and recoil damage to the player while assisting in battle with their attack/breath. The balance to this would be that it's temporary, until the baby reaches a certain size, then it auto dismounts. Killing cnidaria could make it grow faster, or feeding it biotoxin. It would speed up raising. You could ignore this mechanic to keep it smaller for longer to keep the shoulder benefits, because it's raise time could be long without using it. With all these positives, maybe give the creature lower stamina, or make it opposite of the bear. Super fast burst speed that eventually slows down. Same with dps. Stupid high burst speed dps, that slows a lot over time. The way I imagine it looking is some kind of Seahorse/Seadragon hybrid with some draconian features. This is ark afterall, and some dinos aren't 100% real world accurate, so we can spice this up a bit. Another cool option would be some kind of underwater breath attack. Bubbles that stun or slow so they can assassinate prey, or superheated water jet, but I'd like for them to have some sort of poison breath. It would go with the assassin theme. This poison would accumulate in its inventory similar to acatina, maybe increasing production for a time with cnidaria kills stacking. We could coat our weapons or even dino claws with the poison to give special debuffs and inreased damage per hit for a time. This would benefit high attack speed dinos a lot like the raptor, giving more use for its faster attack buff from its alpha call.

insect defense Pholidoteriom (Orchidacea) pangolín prehistoric.
cobado0505 posted a suggestion in Creature Submissions
OIG.jfifhis creature is a prehistoric pangolin that thanks to its scales and large size has a lot of defense that is useful to absorb damage or defend our base, despite its size thanks to the fact that its scales are not made of bone but of keratin, It is not as heavy as the parese which allows it to have a fast average mobility for its size, It will be possible to tame the normal form by leaving it incoient and feeding it with keratin, but it will be more difficult to leave them psychos due to its large armor. Classification: Vertebrates / Mammals Reproduction: Viviparous Food: Omnivorous Order: Pholidota Family: Manidae Genus: Manis Abilities A double mount is great when there's an emergency and your friend's dinosaur dies or gets caught in a web. It throws scales from its tail to attack from a distance. Its mount is double and makes you immune to damage. It has weight reduction in resources such as metal, stone, obsidian, sand, flint. It can reflect the damage, it will increase according to the blows it receives. (Their scales are sharp) It can create a cloud of dust in front of it hitting the ground will work like a smoke grenade. Can launch sand projectiles that slow down and reduce the vision of enemies (area attack) It can climb grease to its curved and sharp claws Their ranged attacks cause bleeding from their sharp scales A new material could be implemented that would be the scales that would be used to make armor that reduces insect damage and increases even insect damage,It would function as a desert armor, but this one would have more fresh mateniedote armor-

The massive goose-relative is a force to be reckoned with. Boasting high health, water buff and speed, and a simple passive taming, Diatryma is a perfect early to mid game mount. In real life, Gastornis was a titanic herbivorous bird from Europe. Think dodo and terror bird combined. It had an extremely powerful beak, perhaps for breaking food or fighting off predatory creodonts. DIATRYMA Species: Gastornis parisiensis Time: Early Eocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Aggresive Wild These large flightless birds rival even the Therizinosaurs is herbivore ferocity. At a glance, the diatryma cam be confused for the terror bird. However, the diatryma is not only larger and herbivorous, it also seems to show many similarities to ducks and geese. Domesticated These birds are surprisingly effective on the water, where they spend much of their time. They aren't as home in the sea as Pelagornis or Hesperornis, but they can still paddle along at great speeds. On land they are relatively slow and cumbersome. They male for nice tanks though, due to their bulky build. Diatryma beaks are extremely powerful. I've estimated that it could crack a coconut. This is actually not surprising for an herbivore, as ceratopsians possess bone-crushing bites as well. --- In the Wild - Diatryma spawn in around redwoods, coastal waters, and occasionally jungles. In the wild they aggro onto any carnivore that attacks it, and anything from Raptor tier or higher will want to eat this goose. Taming - The diatryma are passive tames, but with a twist; they hate you and want you dead. They have an aggro range slightly larger than a Theri's. When you approach, don't bother with ghillie or crouching. When aggroed onto a player, to will run (or swim) up and preform a set of screeches for about 8 seconds. Only in this time, you can quickly feed it and rereat from its aggro range. To slow, and it will truly aggro and tear you up. When it us ready to feed again it will start stamping its foot (or doing backflips if in water), so keep an eye on it from a safe distance. Process must be repeated until tamed. Riding - Diatryma require saddles to ride. It's saddle is unlocked at level 50. Food - The Diatryma is of course herbivorous. For taming it can take Superior Kibble, crops, or berries. It can harvest corpses when tamed, however. In the Water - After touching water, the Diatryma will get a 30 second Hydration Buff that operates like a Spino's, giving buffs to speed, damage, and health regen. The Diatryma is a speedy water creature, but retains an oxygen bar. Thankfully, it has very high oxygen, so in most cases you won't need to worry about taking this duck for a five. Tank - This creature has average/low speed and turn radius on land. It's high health stat for its tier of creature makes is an ideal tank for fighting enemies from Dilos to Allos; its melee stats are reasonable as well, not pathetic like some tanks. Appearance - The Diatryma is around twice the height of a survivor. It is very bulky as well, a bit like a Theri. In the wild its feathers are usually dull colors like brown, reddish brown, black, or dark grey, with little variation. Their eggs are Medium-sized and are colored blue with black specks. Ants - A hidden ability; the Diatryma deals double damage to Titanomyrma and Rhyniognatha. They are also immune to poisoning from the two.

ultimate pack mule Introducing...the Diprotodon! The Walking Food Trough!
StarDestroyer206 replied to RaephClark's Suggestion in Creature Submissions
Hello fellow survivors, I bring to you the biggest beast from the prehistoric outbacks of down under, Diprotodon! (Old dossier I made for it, minus the other dino on the opposite side) The basis and key points with this creature go as the following} 1. Key role of the ultimate pack mule, mid to late game 2. A unique passive tame method 3. 2 kinds of saddles, one with all the needs such as an inbuilt forge, smithy, & mortar and pestle, another built for the arts of combat, shielding its rider and able to absorb lots of damage for its friends and allies 4. Made for traveling all around and could be used in small to large raids 5. Herd buff/mechanic Seeing that we don't have a dino or I guess creature that is this ultimate travel dino to bring along with you, I find that the diprotodon makes for the perfect candidate of that role. While not as offensive and aggressive as some other creatures, it makes up for it in its robust and tanky build, able to handle a decent number of foes on its own but can get way stronger when backed up by other herd members. Its playstyle could be described as a stockier version of a Dire bear, dealing heavy blows while being able to tank way more than what the bear can handle while also capable of gathering and carrying just about anything efficiently. I believe that the diprotodon would be an excellent creature for travel and not too shabby either in combat. With what I had in mind when I first made its dossier, it would be another one of those with immersive features when taking into account of its mechanics. _Dossier_ Common name: Diprotodon Species name: Diprotodon Vagari Time: Pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile _Wild_ “Diprotodon Vagari has to be one of the strangest but at the same time oddly cute creatures I've ever encountered during my travels, a giant wombat the size of a horse but 4 times heavier! They roam the lands in social herds, strongly defending one another from carnivores that get too close. They appear to be nomads, not staying in one feeding ground for long, making travels across the ark to new lush places to eat. Like the travelers they are, I feel like it goes without saying that while they may seem like just another herbivore for carnivores to hunt down, they will surprisingly stand their ground well against some of the larger predators such as a rex or even a Spinosaurus when they are in their herd groups.” _Domesticated_ “When it comes to nomadic tribes, the ones I have talked with never spoke ill of their tamed Diprotodon. They claim to have spent a lot of time with a single herd and lived alongside them even, travelling and helping out every member with tasks such as cleaning or occasionally feeding them. It takes a while but eventually you will build a strong bond with them as they said. Said tribe also allowed me to stay with them for a few days and I've come to learn they made two different kinds of saddles for their tamed Diprotodon, one had built in crafting and smelting stations while another had a saddle that looked like it could withstand some of even the strongest attacks from enemies. Past that, it has also come to my attention that even if tamed Diprotodon are under threat, that doesn't stop any wild ones coming to its aid, I have even seen the tribe recruit wild members like how some survivors would utilize a Yutyrannus to recruit wild carnos!” |Taming Method| Diprotodon are tamed non-violently since due to their social behavior and herd mentality, it makes them very stubborn and uninterested when other methods that involve violence come into play. Non-violent method: Taming a Diprotodon may seem off putting at first to newcomers but once the method is learned then it becomes very easy to repeat. In order to start the taming process, one must find a herd and proceed with helping the herd in different ways. Helping each member of the herd builds trust and a strong bond between creature and survivor. The activities to help out the herd include the following: Food Offerings: Diprotodon are always on the move for food, and this has spurred the idea for survivors to bring all kinds of food such as different crops, flowers, mushrooms, etc. Hungry members of the herd will happily accept any food given to them during their travels thus raising trust. Guiding: Because of their consistent moving, they often travel far distances to find their next meal, but some clever survivors have taken up a sort of job similar to cattle ranchers, choosing a lead creature and guiding the herd safely along the land to new sources of food for them to graze and browse upon. Cleaning: Some Diprotodon are often seen trying to relieve themselves from itches and other sorts of filth that get caught on them so a good cleaning and scrubbing would do just the trick. Herd Defense: Carnivores are more than willing to pick off any Diprotodon they find away from the safety of the herd, so it is important to keep watch for any would be aggressors and help protect each member from attacks, doing this will greatly increase your trust with any given herd member. Companionship: Just being around the herd with your tames could help give each member a boost of confidence and friendship, all be it has to be with something that isn't a carnivore as they see them as a threat, tamed or not, when they are in the wild. Wild: The Diprotodon are not too common around the land of Ragnarok but they do appear in all sorts of places such as grasslands, forests, in the redwoods, and among some places of the desert. They are mostly docile and leave survivors and other herbivores alone, the same couldn't be said for predators which will see the herd ready to fight back as best they can. Driving off packs of raptors or a gang of allosaurs, even creatures like a Rex will find themselves overwhelmed by a strong herd of Diprotodon. Herds can number between 4 to 6 members with the strongest being the leader. When they are in a herd, they receive a buff that empowers each member to fight harder and withstand more punishment as more and more members gather together, groups like these could even stand together against the fearful yutyrannus, braving its terrifying roar with a loud bellow of their own that can drive off creatures up to the size of a rex. Tamed: Well done! You have a herd of Diprotodon to call your own, so now it's time to learn a bit more about their abilities. Primary Attack (, , ): A powerful paw swipe that can damage up to stone and can harvest just about anything. Secondary Attack (, , ): Similar to a trike or a rhino they can charge, building up speed that allows them to barrel through structures with ease, they can turn while charging but it does drain their stamina fairly quickly. Bellow (C, , ): This roar could only be effectively used when in a sufficient herd size (at least 4 members and capped out at 6 members) scaring off smaller creatures to even intimidating the likes of a Rex or Spinosaurus while also buffing nearby allies with increased damage, speed, and resistance to damage. This can also be used to recruit wild members to their aid like a Yutyrannus can to Carnos. Tertiary Attack (Space, , ): When stood still, the Diprotodon can rise up on two legs to slam back down with their front ones, dealing a large amount of damage that can stun smaller creatures to even dismounting riders similar to a Ferox. This move is meant to be a last resort type of attack and has a decently sized cooldown but it is the strongest attack they can use. Resting animation: similar to a shadowmane or megalosaur and megatherium, the Diprotodon rests on the ground peacefully and this could be toggled on and off when unmounted. Passive Abilities: One of the herd: Diprotodon gain a buff that increases in strength as more members join up, the buff itself increases the strength and resistance of the animal while the leader gains a sort of small auto taunt that draws aggro away from weaker members of the herd. Multi-Gatherer: Berries, Wood and Fiber are gathered very efficiently while Stone, Flint and Metal are gathered a bit less efficiently but it's nothing to scoff at either, even Crystal and Obsidian are not out of these creatures reach thanks to their strong forelimbs and paws. They can also carry a large number of resources for their size, reducing their weight while in their inventory. Insulation: while not as good as a basilo, the Diprotodon does provide a decent amount of insulation which can mean life or death in cold or hot regions. Endurance is Key: They may not be fast, but they do make up for it in endurance, they can keep up a decent pace similar to a horses or camels trot than committing to a full sprint, while they are in this trot, they do not use up any stamina similarly to the faster but lighter built Iguanodon. All in one crafter: The first saddle this creature can be equipped with has both a smithy and a mortar & pestle but also it comes with a inbuilt forge so you can smelt metals during your travels around the Ark. Walking Bunker: The second saddle type this creature can be equipped with is one designed with combat in mind, shielding both its rider and nearby allies with splaying out shields from incoming ranged attacks and holding up well against melee combat too, reducing the damage from almost any attack this does however slow it down more and works better if backed up by allies than fighting alone. Utility: When it comes to PvP or PvE, Diprotodon can do decently well in both, whether in a combat situation or during travel it will never fail to help out in some form. Gathering and being a very good beast of burden in pve while in pvp it can utilize its combat saddle more acting as shield-bearers but its overall best used in groups than going solo as they are only stronger when backed up by allies. Conclusion: So there we have it, my entry for Diprotodon into Ark, sure may seem a bit much but then I see that we keep getting more combative creatures than ones leaning more to the side of utility since 1, we never had a creature with a forge saddle and 2, it makes for a unique and quirky creature that helps build into endgame and could even help out in endgame too. Plus I feel like we really were missing them as since we have all the others in Pleistocene Australia, Megalania, Thylacoleo, Procoptodon, but no Diprotodon so I feel like this is a welcome treat to finally get in that missing member of that Outback Squad. As always, Have fun survivors and let the Arks guide us on our journey!- 7 replies

Like its close relative the ankylosaurus stegourus is a great armoured dinosaur however its very aggressive and will try to fight almost anything. Stegourus tail is no joke it can cut any tree making it a great wood collector and fighter if its tail ever hits a dinosaur they will bleed out uncontrollably and if you think a large dino would easily tack it out well you’ll be sorely wrong if it ever hits the creatures leg the large creature will become crippled making it impossible to escape. Stegourus name means roofed tail and its tail is like a solar panel charging with the suns heat and when fully charged it will never run out of stamina, will become faster, and will do 3x damage however this doesn’t work during night. In order to tame stegourus you must wait till night for the dinosaur to fall asleep then you must feed the creature by hand but this is easier said than done because stegourus loves to move in its sleep and if you accidentally touched it, it will wake up and fight you. you will need to wait for the next night to start again as it won’t fall asleep again. it will also wake up if a threat is near.

Trigonotarbid! The Megachelon of the Desert!
DarksideGamer333 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Trigonotarbida - Wikipedia Palaeocharinus - Wikipedia Trigonotarbida is a family of extinct arachnids. Distinguished by their bulky look and segmented armored plates. My design for this Trigonotarbid is based off of Palaeocharinus, decided to go with Trigonotarbid as I believe it's a better name. (Tell me if I need to change that in the comments) APPEARANCE & SPAWN This one in particular is a bit larger than a real Trigo, but since when does ARK stay true to sizes? In comparison, the Trigonotarbid would be identical to the Megachelon in size. Trigonotarbids typically have dark orange hue to them, similar to sand, but occasionally, they can appear in other colors such as white, light orange, red, or by rare chance, blue or even black! You can find younger, less experienced Trigos in open areas on the map, usually grouped together in small packs. However, higher leveled, older Trigos can be found in the outer region of the desert, where the most corpses can be found, yet where the most dangerous predators can be found too. SADDLE & TAME METHOD Trigonotarbids, like Megachelons, have natural platform saddles, which would be a game-changer for SE due to the lack of platform-saddle creatures on the map. Their saddle also acts as a mortar and pestle. Trigos, despite their size and apperance, are strictly scavengers, and only feed on corpses or near dying creatures (make sure not to leave a weakened creature nearby!). Their taming method is the same, requiring you to bring corpses of creatures to them in order to tame. Level, Size, and time it takes to consume all influence taming effectiveness. However, Trigos have huge appetites! They can down many corpses before they're full, so make sure to bring plenty to tame one! ACTIVE ABILITIES Like most arachnids(except aranoes lmao), Trigos can climb on vertical surfaces, which is surprising given their size! The powerful legs of this spider can also kick creatures away (kick direction dependent on camera). These titans can also jump, which can lead into a ground-slam, dealing massive damage to anything underneath! Since they feed on corpses, obviously they can drag corpses around. (which could make taming higher level Trigos easier ;>) They also can do a simple bite attack, but more impressively, they can rear up on their hind legs(like a tarantula today) and deal a heavy bite, both biting attacks also give poison. Rearing on their hind legs can be cancelled, in case a creature flees from the sheer sight of this stance (most creatures under the size of a Rex will) PASSIVE ABILITIES The colors of Trigonotarbids tend to look similar to rocks, so creatures are less likely to attack them. Jug Bugs often seek Trigos as shelter, Jug Bugs hide under Trigos for safety. The heavy shell of Trigos are incredibly durable, arrows and bullets are pretty much useless to harm these guys! Every now and then, a Trigo will molt and produce "Trigo Molt", this shell works similar to shell fragments! Lastly, they'll produce organic polymer, like vomit, this removes any unwanted substances from their stomachs. HARVESTING CAPABILITY Trigonotarbid legs, due to their strength, can take down trees, cacti, and smash rocks with ease! These 3 resources, and sand, all have weight reductions of 60%. DIET Wild Trigonotarbids, as mentioned before, eat only corpses and weak creatures. However, tamed Trigonotarbids can eat meat. BREEDING Trigonotarbids can only breed during the hottest areas and days (or when temperature exceeds 60). They only mate during these times due to other creatures hiding from the heat, so it's safe to do such a vulnerable act. TLDR: Bigass Spider Feed corpses to tame(higher level + larger creature = faster tame) Can Jump Basic Bite Heavy Bite (rear up on hind legs) Can scare creatures smaller than Rex (when reared up on hind legs) Can Ground-Slam High-Knockback kick Common Color Variations: Sandy Orange, Light Sandy Orange, Red, and White Rare Color Variations: Blue and Black Carries a Ton Strong Armor Can Climb Walls Harvests Stone, Sand, Cactus Sap, and Wood 60% weight reduction on above Jug Bug Lure Less likely to be targeted (camouflaged) Natural Platform Saddle (similar to Megachelon) Saddle acts as Mortar and Pestle Lower Levels inside of the map Higher Levels on outer edges of the map Only breeds when temperature is over 60 degrees Aggros on low health creatures Can Drag Corpses Tamed can eat meat Spawn grouped with 2 others CONCLUSION: VOTE FOR BIG ENEMY SPIDER! Even though the winner of the previous vote was a bug, we still need more useful Arthropods in ARK! P.S. Feel free to recommend other features in the comments! (Art done by me <3) -
Deinocheirus "Terrible Claw" aka the Scorched Earth God
Sasquatch69 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Update: I have recently learned that the person behind the Ark Additions mod is close to finishing a Deinocheirus for his mod and it will be releasing soon, for his benefit dont upvote. I guess us console players gotta wait until august then Description and Abilities: In my opinion ark deserves a more powerful multi purpose creature, so let me introduce the Deinocheirus. The grand idea for Deinocheirus is more of a mid to late game tame for scorched earth that could be a beneficial due to the maps harsh climate and hostile creatures. This creature's most crucial feature will be its thick fur/feathering, which will provide the rider with an insulation buff as well as providing a natural damage resistance to the creature (nothing to broken probably 20-25%) but will provide heavy resistance towards wyvern breath attacks. If it come into contact with water it will produce a hydration buff that greatly reduces the need to drink. Another feature would be 3 separate attacks that provide 3 different purposes: 1. Bite: a pretty standard attack that can harvest berries/fibre from bushes, thatch from trees and hide from bodies. 2. Claw swipe: a more brutal attack that can cause bleed (even to bosses) as well as having wood and meat harvesting capabilities. 3. Body slam: An extremely powerful attack with a cool down that Involves a jump and a wwe style move that deals massive damage, stun, aswell as dismounting. Its two final abilities will be a weight reduction for harvested items and the longer it runs the more speed it picks up. For the size I believe being slightly bigger than the Allosaurus should be a fair bet. Behaviour and Taming: The behaviour for a wild Deinocheirus should be similar to that of the dire bear, passive for a few moments than extremely aggressive with the intention of killing. The Taming for this creature should be passive and requires a certain animation to interact. The general idea is it will wonder for a while and proceed to sit it will open its mouth and start panting, once this happens you walk up to it and feed it water to hydrate it, the colder the water the greater the effectiveness. Location: The location of this creature will be around or near the green obelisk since its a nice beautiful area, with the added bonus of an alpha variant that spawns out in the dunes of the desert. With that all said and done, Good luck to all the creature submissions.- 12 replies

Acanthopholis was quadrupedal and herbivorous. Its size has been estimated to be in the range of 3 to 5.5 meters (10 to 18 ft) long and approximately 380 kilograms (840 lb) in weight. This is my submission , I'm trying to do something unique ish... Taming This creature will be a knockout tame, it will require a different type of food with every feed, somewhat like the moschops, but it won't eat meat. Saddle. It will have a saddle like an Ankylosaurus, but it will have a protective cage to protect the player. Abilities. 1. body slam, creature jumps forward and slams into enemies. 2. tail spike, creature will use it's tail to throw spikes, kinda like the thorny dragon, but the spikes will cause a bleed effect instead of torpor. 3. Bite, just a standard bite. 4. Roll, it will roll like a dodicuris to harvest things like sulfur, crystal and obsidian . 5. Weight reduction of all resources and eggs, except for fiber. 6. Turret mode, can be placed somewhere and put into turret mode, and they will attack enemies. Drops. 1. Hide. 2.Raw meat 3. Cooked prime meat. 4. Keratin. 5. 2% chance of dropping Acanthopholis spike armor. 6. Acanthopholis spikes. Gathers. 1. Fiber. 2. Stone. 3. Thatch. 4. Silk. 5. Wood. 6. Sulfur. 7. Crystal. 8. Obsidian . 9. Berries . 10. Seeds. Will only aggro to player's wearing tech armor. I hope you like this creature and vote for it, comments are very appreciated. Cristatusaurus! - The Water Storing, Shooting APEX Counter!
YaRinGEE posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
WILD In the wild Cristatusaurus roams the vast desert for days without food or water. This is thanks to its slow metabolism and ability to store water along its spine. Once this reservoir is full the animal gains a pretty blue hue along its back. Cristatusaurus can also utilize this water by turning it into a projectile. This projectile is expelled in the form of a giant blob that can stun Wyverns and even Rock Golems. This makes Cristatusaurus one of the few creatures that can rival Wyverns and Rock Golems on the ARK. DOMESTICATED Once tamed the Cristatusaurus can also utilize its throat pouch by not only storing water but also tames and survivors. This can be extremely useful because the pouch not only protects survivors from the elements but it can also be used as a sniper hut. Once inside the pouch, a survivor can peer out the gaping maw of the Cristatusaurus and shoot an enemy while the Cristatusaurus uses its large tail to lessen damage by as much as 75% Taming Method: Cristatusaurus would be a knockout tame but it requires one of the rarest resources on Scorched Earth, that being water. The animal's insatiable taste for water has made it impossible to tame unless you have a lot of canteens. General Info: Cristatusaurus (Cristat) would be an amazing tame for both pve and pvp, its water projectile has the ability to stun opponents very briefly and it's tail blocking ability makes it all that much more potent as it can be commanded to block either on the ground or on the tame, making the water stun more annoying for others because the Cristat can also still spit when blocking, furthermore as stated in the dossier, you can climb inside the Cristat's jaws and shoot out of it's mouth while the animal takes all the blows! This large throat pouch is also useful because of the fortitude it provides for the player, even more useful is the player can whistle "go here" from inside the animal's mouth, making travel less tedious! The Cristat also has really good weight for hauling around tames and water and thus makes it good at combat and storing resources on long journeys. The Cristat only has one attack besides the water projectile, using those massive claws and jaws to damage the enemy.-

Bunostegos, the taming bait generator
Ninj4Dr4gon posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Have you ever wanted to tame a carnivore, but it keeps getting distracted, and you don't like to build traps? First of all, bunostegos was a desert-living creature, so I really think it is the perfect addition to SE and... well, feel free to add anything to this post if you want to Now back to its utility: bunostegas will be a neutral herbivore with a taming method similar to the wyvern and deinonychus, yes, you'll need to steal its eggs from the nest to obtain one of it. After that, you'll have a grease-maker reptile, and its grease will have a physics similar to the feces physics, but... here's the thing: after the grease is dropped, nearby wild carnivores will stop what they're doing to attack the grease, which has a huge amount of life, and this will make things easier for you to tame carnivores, since they'll be busy attacking the grease *as it is a pareiasaur, the size comparison below should help- 1 reply

Description: Prestosuchus was a South American pseudosuchus that lived during the Triassic period. In the Ark he would be a large predator that could be found in the forests and in the Redwood Forest, his temperament would be territorial only attacked if you got too close, with other animals he would also only attack if they got too close or if they attacked him. In the dossier: Wild: Among the many predators I've seen in the forests of this island, Prestosuchus is the most unique, while many predators prefer to chase their prey Prestosuchus lures them closer using branches and stones while hiding in thickets, and when the prey approaches it It lashes out with its jaw in a crushing bite capable of penetrating even a Stegosaurus's armor. The few who face a Prestosuchus say that at first it seemed to ignore them, but when they got close enough it grabbed them in its jaw and soon began to devour them alive. Tamed: Taming a Prestosuchus is a task for few as dart and arrows don't seem to have any effect on this creature, to tame it and need to earn its respect in a melee fight, those who managed to tame a Prestosuchus are rewarded with a fierce and highly versatile predator . The few tribes that have a Prestosuchus say that they can be trained to collect specific resources from animals such as leather or better quality meat, the domesticated Prestosuchus, when very injured, have a state of fury that makes it incredibly faster and more resistant, making it a weapon devastating. No Dossier Artwork at the moment Taming: To tame a Prestosuchus you earn its respect by facing it in a melee fight (Probably the best would be to lock it in a place where no one will interfere and then face it). After receiving a certain amount of damage he will retreat with a blue aura indicating that at this point he will become passive and can be fed meat in the last slot until he is tamed. Utility: Once tamed it will need a saddle to ride it, the saddle would be unlocked at level 58, with the saddle made and you being able to ride Prestosuchus it will have the following skills: Standard Bite: no extra effect Crushing Bite: It would be a charged blow the more charged the more damage would be done and would cause bleeding Jaw grab: This skill would not cause damage it would be similar to Megalosaurus only it would not cause damage and could be used with small animals and players Rush: Just like Dire Bear and Woolly Rhino, the more he ran the faster he would be and if you press the left button during the run, Prestosuchus will throw himself forward in a powerful charge that can cause stun Jump: Just a standard jump with no effects Tail strike: The Prestosuchus will attack with its tail in the direction the driver is looking at it and if the strike button is pressed the Prestosuchus will spin around and deal area damage pushing the target away. Berserk Mode: As Prestosuchus takes damage, a rage bar will fill up and when full, Prestosuchus will roar and go into berserk mode getting faster and decreasing stamina consumption and decreasing damage received. Berserk Roar: If Prestosuchus is in berserk mode it will have a roar that intimidates other creatures except (Brontosaurus, Carcharo, Giga, Rex, Spino, Titanosaurus and Yutyrannus), creatures intimidated by the roar will deal less damage and take more damage. If you held the "E" without being mounted on the creature there would be a selection where you could increase the level of resource gathering (similar to moschops) depending on what you type of gathering you level up your prestosuchus will collect more leather, meat , organic polymer prime meat. Functions: Prestosuchus could be a transport creature with good weight and speed and decent stamina. Resource gathering animal such as meat, prime meat, leather, organic polymer. Combat animal thanks to its damage and high life along with its berserk mode that makes it faster and reduces stamina consumption and decreasing the damage received. For now those were my ideas, but if you have another idea of skill, taming, characteristic or even function feel free to comment I would love to see other ideas for this creature. Pentaceratops imperialis; Gigantic Flexible Tank
PieTheMath posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive

(I don't speak English I use a translator) Name Edmontonia Species Name Edmontonia Rugosidens time: cretaceus Diet: hervivore Temperament: Neutral Wild Edmontonia is a creature comparable in size to Estegosaurus that lives in groups of 3 for group, almost never found alone. it is a herbivorous dinosaur that should not be underestimated, it commands respect even in predators lie the Rex, which prefers not to pick on of these unless it provoked, this is due to their thick armored armor that greatly reduces the damage received and their spikes that if you get a blow you'll bleed and break your bones. The only predators this creature has are the terrifyng Giganotosaurus, Charcharadontosaurus ,and Wyverns(more for their breath),which can withstand the throats and their bones will not break but the bleeding will slow them down which they take advantage to flee because their bites can penetrate a little their natural armor. the edmontonia wander quietly un the largest of the ark except for the death worm dunes looking for honey in honeycombs, which is their favorite food, allowing them to taste the honey in peace and quiet. Domesticated This dinosaur is a fantastic creature to transport resources, has a considerable weight reduction and despite being slow can travel for miles almost without getting tired. in addition its mount is perfectly suited to attack from distance, with a circular shape with an open horizontal line that allows you to use weapons from distance ,Be careful!! to be metal during the day so be to wear a deser suit and bring water. Being mounted on this tank your wild enemies will ignore you unless you clear you which will not be good for them, because if a creature attack you he will pound the small creatures with his tail, the big ones will bleed them, a perfect creature for attack and defence. Domestication Although this creature is fantastic its domestication will test your passion, if you want one of these, even if you feed iy your favorite food it will take a long time and it must be away from other members of its species to gain your trust proposal of domestication 1 The first method I propose is to use the feeders, gil them with food for herbivores and that ypu should approach the edmontonia and wait for it to eat up its domestication bar proposal of domestication 2 This is the somplest: throw honey near him and wait for him to eat proposal of domestication 3 this is the most interesting yo use the method of unconsciousness bit using narcotic granades, because of his skin the darts and arrows do not inflict unconsciouness but by inhaling the gas his unconsciousness will rise and you just have to wait for him to fall. Habilities primary ability A chop that causes bleeding similar to thilacoleo, broken bones and small creatures are impale similar to entro in addition to collenting berries, cactus seeds, straw, wood and honey Secundary ability hit the ground with the tail: this ability causes a small 5 second bemusement on the fist attack but the bemusement will have to wait to be used again on same creature but is also cuases recoil and collect resources from rocks like obsidian, metal, stone, etc Tertiary Ability Cosmetic roar: if the alpha roars the other two as well: just like the alosaurus Passive ability 1 armadura natural: reduce un 50% el daño recibido pero si este proviene del giga carcha y aliento de wyvern es un 25% passive ability 2 buff of alpha: the alpha gets 25% more damage and 25% more natural armor bufo de alfa: el alfa recibe 25% mas de daño y 25% de armadura natural Passive ability 3 passive resource collection: passively collects stone, metal, crystal, obsidian, silex, sand, salt, and surfur. having wigth reducion of 75% in metal and obsidian 50% in stone and crystal 25% in sand Passive ability 4 immunity to sandstorms Passive ability 5 immunity to bee stings Remember it's the creatures that matter, not their abilities. If the edmontonia does not win it will still return for the votes on extinction expansion of Ark Survival Ascended Thank you gor reading carefully: DinoCris13Multiverse

Jaekelopterus (el átropodo gigante)
TheRapt0r2948 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive

(original dossier art and description by: unknown) (NOTE: The species in the dossier is Palaeoloxodon cantusamanus, but I'm using it as a basis for Palaeoloxodon namadicus, due to the fact there are several large identified species of the said genus.) (Dossier art description, with contraries of what I will add to it below it) Common name: Palaeoloxodon Species: Palaeoloxodon cantusamanus* ("namadicus" for submission) Time: Pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperment: Territorial Wild: The largest mammal on the island by far, I find it fascinating that Palaeoloxodon cantusamanus (namadiscus) has eluded me for so long. Though essentially an oversized elephant, the padding in its feer keeps it silent as it navigates its jungle home - until angered. Content to live a solitary lifestyle, these pachyderms will charge if approached. Fortunately, some survivors have found that music soothes these savage beasts - music from and instrument will literally have Palaeoloxodon eating out of your hands! Domesticated: Because of its aggressive tendencies, Palaeoloxodon is a poor gatherer, and mounting a platform saddle on one is difficult. Some tribes instead fit their mount with a saddle equiped with wardrums - playing music as they ride into battle! In a fight, Palaeoloxodon packs a wallop, especially when inspired by the music of its rider. Music pushes it to take more punishment, attack faster, and charge right though enemies! My additions to the creature In addition to its wild behavior and taming method through music as in the original artist's dossier, my idea for Palaeoloxodon namadicus is it being a walking fortress like any platform saddle dino. BUT, unlike the platform saddles, this thing's one and only saddle is a pre-built fortress akin to the elephants from lord of the rings. The mammoth already has a saddle with war drums on it via the TLC 3 update a couple years ago. So, how about using it to your advantage to tame this creature as in the dossier? Real world context Palaeoloxodon namadicus - Wikipedia Palaeoloxodon namadicus is thought to be the largest known terrestrial mammal to have ever walked the earth, from the Indian subcontinent of the mid to late Pleistocene. It is also estimated to be the largest species of the genus that is composed of a few other large species, as well as plenty of dwarf-sized species.

DREADNOUGHTUS - The Oasis Bronto / Titanosaur
Xgaming08 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
As soon as I saw the creature vote had started, I knew immediately what needed to be added, a new large sauropod. So I immediately ransacked google for my best options, and my favorite of those was the Dreadnoughtus (Dreadnoughtus schrani. D.)! This Idea is defiantly something to build on, so don't take it as a finally draft please! My Idea is that it would be between the brontosaurus and the Titanosaurus in size, since its on the larger end of sauropods. It would dwell in the vast deserts of Scorched Earth, traveling from oasis to oasis. A common theory is that dreadnoughtus would travel through the desert during mating season, so thats my idea for the taming method. In order to tame one, you would need to find a herd (4-5) traveling through the desert to the next oasis. Once you find a herd and follow them to the oasis, you have to start bonding with one of the hatchlings (should be 1-2 in a herd). The challenging part of this tame is that the parents are protective! When you approach the babies, you have to be careful in order to make it past the adults. In order to prevent players from wiping herds adults to tame babies, they would gain an orphan debuff from that. This debuff would make them untamable or maybe just ruin the tame. Once bonded they're yours to keep =D then you just have to raise them! Once tamed, it would have a platform saddle that would go around its HUGE neck, like a half sized tree platform. This would be interesting for bases, as a desert tree platform essentially. They would have a tail swipe as left click attack, that harvests huge amounts of berries and a pretty decent amount of silk. As an alternate attack, they could reer up on their hind legs for a huge stomp! (Refer to ark additions brachy) Lastly, they would have a pack buff for HP, boosting up to 20% plus HP at five or so dreadnaughts. (this would also stack with mate boost) In the wild, they are highly aggressive towards large carnivores, or when something is near a hatchling, and if hatchlings are killed they go berserk. This would be like megatherium rage, where it would kill everything. (this includes herd members if in the way) They move from oasis to oasis, in groups of around five. IMAGE IS FOR PLATFROM SADDLE IDEA: It would be near the middle of the neck.- 5 replies

Tarchia - The mobile Bunker/Panic Room!
LynxCanadensis posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Tarchia, The mobile Bunker! Tarchia Kielanae Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Docile Wild In its natural habitat, Tarchia contends with many predators, ranging from wolves to rexes. To combat this, Tarchia has armor beaten only by a golems and the unique ability to root itself into the ground. This leaves only the heavily armored dorsal surface showing, with explosive levels of force required for a forced removal. Tamed Although Tarchia is not the fastest or most mobile of the ARK's life, it is surprisingly a relatively common travel animal, if only for its ability to carry lots of weight without breaking a sweat. For individual survivors, however, they use it as a travel- size panic room, as the saddles they often fit to their Tarchia can take the same beatings, allowing them to root into the ground and wait until the danger passes. Stats Damage Reduction (Surfaced): 40% Damage Reduction (Burrowed): 80% Tameable: Yes Breedable: Yes Rideable: Yes Rider Weaponry: Yes Drag Weight: 250 Carryable by: Wyvern (All save for Crystals), Karkinos, Quetzal, Tusoteuthis Can damage: All tiers up to stone Tame method: Passive, prefers Honey (Note: These stats are not final and are subject to change) (Edit: Skeletal from the Wikipedia page (Tarchia - Wikipedia) has been added for reference) -
Olorotitan, The Crowned Hadrosaur of the Dunes
LordSwampy682 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Found roaming across the dunes and oasis of the map, Olorotitan are a large hadrosaur that travel in herds of up to 4 to 5 members. They easily stand out from their relative, the Pararsaur, due to their larger size and different shaped crest. Most of the desert’s smaller carnivores avoid these giant as they are too big and too large in numbers to take on. The strong bond between members of the herd make them impossible to fight in numbers. If one of the members of the herd is attacked, it’ll let out a call that rallies it’s fellow hadrosaurs to it, bringing several tons of angry herbivore down on the aggressor. The herd mentality is so strong with these dinosaurs that the only way to tame them is to lure an individual away from its herd with some sweet smelling food. Survivors must keep the Olorotitan’s attention on the sweets otherwise it’ll run back to its herd once it realizes it’s been left behind. If someone manages to pull one away from its herd, they’ll have a great traveling companion and a great beast of burden. With its large size and powerful limbs, Olorotitan can travel great distances with a heavy load on its back, making it great for transportation of goods. The bonding between Olorotitan and its allies are were it really shines. These creatures are not only strong enough to survive a hit, but can produce a call that buffs the defenses of allied creatures and survivors with its loud calls. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olorotitan- 1 reply

Centrosaurus Diet: berries , vegetables Temperment: agressive The Centrosaurus was one of the largest herbivores of its time, in the game it would be larger than the Triceratops and Pachyrino. Unlike the Triceratops, the Centrosaurus had only one large horn, which could pierce the skin of even a Rex or Bronto. to tame the centrosaurus we have to immobilize it with a trap or chain bola and then give it a rhino horn. A tamed Centrosaurus would be a great mount - its saddle can accommodate up to 3 people, and sitting on it, other dinosaurs cannot throw us off and we are resistant to temperatures. With its huge horn, the Centrosaurus can collect a lot of wood and leather. Skills: 1-hit with the horn, collects leather, wood and inflicts bleeding on other creatures 2- tail strike, breaks the bones of opponents 3- carnivore repelling roar 4- Passengers sitting in the saddle can shoot firearms 5- sitting in his saddle we cannot be thrown down
