When you have a baby dino that is ready for imprinting you currently cannot see what it wants to eat (if it wants to eat something). When playing on PC with a controller someone said it helps if you move the mouse once, but this is not possible on Xbox. Make "Camera > Invert Y" ONLY invert the camera. Currently it just inverts the whole right sticks Y making it hard to use the "Toggle xy"-wheel and the map. Moving a whole stack of an item automatically into the other inventory (and back) was possible in ASE on console by holding the corresponding button (A on xbox X on ps) but now you have to always drag it all the way to the other inventory, not fun! Server is never showing up in favorites although it is marked as favorite, furthermote "Join last session" in start screen works neither. Quick resume on XBOX also leads to ALL server lists (official/unofficial etc) being empty. Searching/refreshing doesnt help. App currently always needs to be completely closed (before or after xbox was shut down/started again) Vibration is off but controller still vibrates on death. If you open the settings shortly before the respawn prompt/map shows you will be stuck showing the settings screen but the button focus being in the respawn screen.

Hello. I saw that asa came out on xbox and flocked to go buy it. I play on a series S and its not letting me buy the game. I dont know why its doing this but is the Series S compatible with the game?

Hello, I've been trying to connect to the official server for 40 minutes now by constantly refreshing the page and when one player leaves the server I connect but unsuccessfully, as if I'm playing a game before the game, who will press the "Join" button first. I had an idea why the developers should not make it easier for us and make the game more enjoyable by adding some kind of queue like we can see in FiveM when we connecting to the server that is full. Survivors if you agree with this please leave a positive rating so that this advice reaches the Developers. Greeting.

I know on ASE there's something you can put in the Game.ini to make it so all spawns are more even, so you see more higher level spawns. Is there a way to spawn higher level creatures more frequently in ASA?

Hey ya'll! Looking to get some of your thoughts and input on a good middle ground for ARK Survival Ascended. I know it's still fairly new so the volume may vary, however, I'm looking into upgrading my home dedicated server from the ground up with 128GB RAM so that we can have a nice selection of PvP and PvE maps for players to enjoy. I've got 2 servers so far for ASA, PvP and PvE (separate servers) and since it takes literally 10GB to run one map, this would make sense why the 128GB is needed. My goal is to provide ppl with a fun, active and engaging PvP and PvE community with a good balance of rates, while minimizing the potential for any server crashing, rubber-banding and poor server performance. For rates, this is what I have so far and the count of new players has been pretty low or many ppl don't stay for long enough. So for full transparency, I'm looking to see if it's worth upgrading to a new server altogether or not. Let me know what your thoughts are and why, preferably with some more detail would be great. I know it's not possible to please everyone, although, I'm just looking to see if I can find a good middle ground as I see many servers out there with super high rates and it just makes me wonder if ppl loose interest in those later or if ours is too grindy. Thanks in advance! Vault being destroyed or picked up when trying to drop.

As of right now, only way to drop a vault down lower is to use bombs or weapons to destroy what it is on. The fact you left it to be able to fall gives me the thought it was over looked. Can you please make vaults fall when picking up floor, maybe even add a choice to pick up all on top or just the floor itself. Its crazy having to make c4 just to drop vault then have to repair the vault after. -

Okay so, dedis. What’s wrong with them in ASA? First off, no more floating dedi boxes; they now need structural support beneath them. And yeah, I get it, it makes sense and is for the best imo. However. There’s one rather annoying issue that comes with it. All dedi boxes now need something beneath them for support. You can’t build, say, 4 dedis on top, and then build out to have a dedi roof or floor, which I find ridiculous. Please let us snap them sideways in the air as long as there’s connected support beneath them (same as how ceilings work)

Turn off auto-craft just for dyes at Industrial Cooker

As it currently stands in ASA, the new industrial cooker and dye overhaul has, in mine and my tribes opinion, ruined brew crafting. Example; The other day, my tribemate attempted to craft medical brews in our industrial cooker. He placed the tintoberries and narcotics in the cooker and turned it on to begin crafting. Unfortunately, no brews were made because all the tintoberries auto-crafted into red dye and used up the water in the cooker before it could make any medical brews. As such, he had to disable auto-crafting and sit there, stacking 10 medbrews at a time because the cooker can only hold 1,000 water and each recipe takes 100 to make so he cant chain more at a time. In conclusion, i propose a few potential solutions: 1) most preferably, have a setting in the cooker ui to specifically enable/disable dye crafting, so we can make dyes and brews seperately to one-another 2) Increase the amount of water a cooker can hold at a time/increase the speed at which it refreshes [maybe having it be irrigated register as unlimited water for the purposes of chain crafting] 3) decrease the amount of water needed for recipes down to say, 10 instead of 100 Please, I don't want to have to stay with a cooker for 8 hours to make 1,000 med brews as if it were a baby giga -
With maps like aberration, the amount of metal you get can be insane, even on official, and lots of us tend to end up with lots of spare element in the late game which only gets used running generators for forever and a half. So i propose a tek tier refining forge with more slots than an industrial forge and a faster smelting time, using element to run instead of gasoline. Industrial forges currently smelt 1 ingot/second (20 ings/20sec) with 100 slots so i would propose at least 200 slots and for preference a minimum of 40 ings/20 secs. ofc these can be adjusted based on perceived balance, my overall goal here is to simply bring to mind the possibility of an upgraded, tek-tier forge that stands as an improvement from the standard industrial type.

It would be nice since they added many new sliders to the body, try to do something resembled than what they did in atlas, that let you choose different face parts, so people could really look like different people.

I wish the brush had more options so if you want to make up or do tattoos it would not look that pixeled on an unreal engine 5 character.

Hi guys, we have been running a server on our windows root since noon yesterday. Everything was running fine until I wanted to insert the saves from the old server. Console opens, server loads and then the console closes. We deleted the solution saves and everything set to 0, everything works again. Now 8 hours later and with 70 active players and over 300 player saves we had to restart the server because of a hacker. When restarting, the same problem as at server start. It does not load your own save files. Save files deleted? everything works. Now we have inserted all the save files one by one and found that the player saves and world saves work and the server starts. As soon as we insert the tribe saves the server does not start and the console closes by itself. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? We're getting this error: Fatal error! In community crunch Studio Wildcard said want to synchronize the rates by mid-December. So I assume they will respect the date for server transfers... And about the boost to recover the time lost, I hope they will do it in the right way. XBOX have 18 days delay from Steam so should get 2x for 18 days. PS5, for example if get the launch on 26th November (with 30 days delay from Steam) should get 3x for 15 days to recover the 30 days lost. In this way we all be at the same level, and ready for server transfer in mid-December.

Hey, wondering if anyone experience the same problem- both my Parasaur and anky can't harvest any berries. Other people's dinos on the map can. Is that something I can fix?

Wondering how console players are feeling at the moment. For me, seeing videos being posted already about everything that is new has taken away some of the mystery/excitement. Still excited to play, but logging in and discovering everything new ASA has to offer for myself would have been a completely different experience. Not here to complain or cry. Just honestly curious if anyone else feels the same. That experience was taken from us. It is what it is. Still buying the game and planning on enjoying it. Would have been exciting though. What are your thoughts? Please be respectful, thank you all for your comments 🙂. I understand that you do not have to watch or pay attention to anything showing new features, but, let's be honest, it's pretty hard to miss.

accessibility Please Increase Map Waypoint Limit

The new waypoint system in ARK: Survival Ascended is significantly better than in ASE. It really makes me want to use the waypoints, and I have been. As an accessibility feature they're incredible. Due to medical reasons I have a hard time with my memory, and remembering things. Especially when it comes to the location of things on a map as big as The Island. So being able to set waypoints that are actually easy to see and use has been a huge help for me in remembering things like cave entrances I have found, metal deposits, explorer notes to come back and pick up later, etc. And there is this great new system that incentivises players to use it - but then you just get slapped with a big old "no" once you have 16 waypoints? For maps as large as ARKs, only having 16 waypoints seems strange and just artificially limiting. I of course don't know how they are created behind the scenes - but the only performance impact I can feasibly think of is when saving/loading them to/from the disk. I don't believe they are server-side at all, as they don't have a reason to be. So it's not like they need to be limited to decrease server operations. Even if they are, that's surely a limitation that could be lifted in single player. Purely from an accessibility standpoint being able to have more than 16 waypoints would be incredibly helpful. It's actually decreased my motivation to play a lot now because I know I will forget things, and that proves to be very frustrating. Even 32 would be significantly more useful, but I really really do suggest allowing more than that. I can't see a good reason why there should be a limit at all - however maybe there is some reason behind the scenes. I really think that ~50 would be ideal, if there has to be a limit at all. -
Does anyone knows how to save mod settings when playing Ascended on modded single player? Whenever I start or load a saved game, Ark rewrites the gameusersettings.ini and game.ini files so any settings that you change that are not included on the game menus and mod settings are erased or reverted to defaults. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

One of the main mechanics of the ark is progression Going through the stone tools, the metal tools, the industrial tools and finally the TEK tools and advancing from the southeastern beaches of the map to the mountains and the redwood forest to finally reach the northwest in the snow area in search of best creatures and resources But the current progression has several problems What I am looking for with this is that in any part of the map I can create a base in any part of the map so that each area has its special peculiarity and add new engrams and resources to improve the quality of life of the game The first, instead of obtaining engrams by leveling up, apart from finding it in the drops or in the stomach of some dangerous creatures, the alphas can make it in your inventory or on a workbench to make plans you only need certain requirements such as having the materials, having learned other precursor engrams Example: if you manage to tame an ankylosaurus but you are only level 15, now you simply fly, make the engram and that's it This new mechanic would encourage you to constantly explore to accelerate your progression Another big problem is the coordination of valuable resources and fauna such as obsidian, glass and of course metal, which is concentrated in the mountains, especially the snow area. Domesticating it is very difficult since all types of creatures are constantly in this fight. This is because the game is supposed to progress from the jungles and beaches in the south to the mountains and tundra in the north, leaving beach, jungle, and swamp areas empty. So to correct this, the map THE ISLAND requires a little rework 1._- I would change the location of the volcano to be more southwest, my ideal location would be Lat 60-70 Lon 50-60, while the north has the mountains, the south will have the volcano, so you would justify the warm climate of the south. 2._ The volcano, apart from its new location, would give you the ability to erupt and launch lava balls like extinction airdrops that can destroy your base anywhere and when it cools down, you can mine them and obtain metal, sulfur, obsidian and gems. 3._Extend the snow area so that the old volcano area and the FROZEN TOOTH and the sea area that is there are frozen like a glacier apart from being able to collect snow and ice and use it to refrigerate water and food in primitive refrigerators or use it to make ice cream 4._ make the rivers navigable either with a raft or sea creatures Since Ark's rivers are very shallow, this will make the sea creatures more useful and will make exploring the island easier without using flying creatures. 5.- make the beaches and coasts more dangerous and rich in resources. The sea is very dangerous because of the creatures it contains, so being there is a danger. Being close to it, the sea salt, the heat and humidity will cause the structures to degrade over time and if they resist the strong waves, they will damage the structures. nearby But with those same waves, on the coast you may find all kinds of resources such as stranded animals, oil, raw salt, sparkpowder(saltpeter) lithium (a new resource to make batteries) and sand and in the rivers something similar happens with the current bringing you small amounts of resources 6._make the plains the easy areas (to compensate for the fact that the rivers and coasts are more difficult) 7._make caves and underground rivers and cenotes under the map like a mini aberration/genesis 2 This would have 2 functions 1.-to be able to build and collect resources without interfering in the artifact caves or 2.-to be able to make incursions with marine creatures such as the mosa 3.-to be able to move quickly around the map and go out in the various cenotes 8._that the mountains suffer landslides and that they fall to the ground to be able to mine them and obtain the resources without having to climb the mountain 9._ que el pantano encuentres, perlas negras, aceite, polímero orgánico, fertilizante natural y plantas raras para hacer medicinales, para que valga la pena ir a ese peligroso lugar 10._ that the advanced plans ask you for more advanced materials instead of more material Such as gems, ceramics, alloys, polymers, synthetics, reinforced polymers other metals, obsidian, black pearls carbon and element (I will develop this new resources in another publication) I would like to know your opinion of my ideas and many thanks for reading all of that.

asa No Longer Able to Run Private ASA Servers... maybe?

TL; DR: ASA looks amazing and I *REALLY* want it but until and unless I can run my own server on my own equipment for my friends and I, I will not drop a red cent on ASA. I grabbed ASE at the beginning of Early Access, and had my own server up and running the moment I had the ability to do so. It was buggy as hell, not optimized, and generally a pretty rough experience and I still logged HUNDREDS of hours into it because me and my friends could play together easily. ASE has come a long way from the early days and is a much more stable (even polished!) experience. I wrote a thorough Linux dedicated server guide for the steam community that to this day STILL gets comments, thanks, and updates as needed. I run a full story map cluster (Island, Scorched, Aberration, Extinction) out of my home server and my friends and I completed the whole thing over the course of a couple years before the story was completed, then went back and did it *again* to gather all the notes, see all the lore, and generally experience the game 'as it was meant to be experienced'. My server was running would run for months at a time without anybody doing more than logging in on the occasional whim, then suddenly we'd all be on daily for weeks at a time. I now have thousands of hours logged in the game, and you know what I never had to do? I never had to connect to a public server or pay a rental/hosting company a dime, and it was F'ing GLORIOUS. To say that being able to play the game with friends, and for me in particular being able to facilitate our play without ANYONE having to pay some form of subscription, was a key factor in how much time we logged and how much fun we had would be an understatement on the level of calling the ocean a puddle. It. F'ing. MATTERED. So now, with ASA being a hosted or public only multiplayer option? Nope. Forget it. Not going to see a penny from me. I refuse to have my fun be held hostage by random strangers; whether that's public server griefers or third party companies. And playing the game single player is boring, I don't care how pretty it is. I (me personally, my opinion, only speaking for me) was OK/interested in pre-ordering ARK2 when it was said that ASA (base game) would be a freebie reward, I was a little salty when it became its own standalone game purchase but knowing how much time and effort goes into this sort of thing (because it wasn't a copy/paste conversion) but that was palatable because I assumed (wrongly, apparently) the same formula would be kept. IE 'here's the game, there's public servers, hosted servers, and if you have the chops for it you can do it all yourself'. So I applaud the dev team for all their work in getting the game over to UE5, and changes like the water delivery system are amazing and welcome. I have a double-bird F-U to the companies pulling contractual BS that sets the game up to be either public/official or rented systems only. It's them that I want to understand using the loudest and most staunch slamming shut of my wallet: I WILL NOT BUY OR PLAY YOUR GAME ON THESE TERMS. If there's been an update that makes this rant/corpo-PSA obsolete, someone please PLEASE let me know; otherwise I'll just be over here staying forever on my ASE home cluster, there's plenty to still enjoy even after multiple thousands of hours. -
hello wild card can you guys open offline raid protection server like crossark6 on evolved because me and my tribe was prepare for that and we dont have time for 1x server and people so pls create those server
