My family and I have played a good amount of Ark mainly on our own private server on the island. We are looking to get into Ark official online and we have played a few hours and I am struggling with it a little as we want to play the island, do an alpha ascension and move on to scorched earth, however it seems like the lowest day count for a small tribe server with a decent ping is like 4 months old. Needless to say I got shot down by a randomly placed auto turret and its obviously not a great deal of fun starting from scratch with people already 4 months in. I understand all the young servers are centered on scorched earth but my question is this. Can you ascend and upload your character to then take them into Scorched Earth? Can you do this on an isolated server, or an Arkpocalypse server as these seem to be fresher servers? Or is the only way to do this is via a normal official server. I guess what I am asking is what long term progression is there available to us to keep ascending our characters through the expansions? Sorry for the silly questions.

Why is nitrado 30+ dollars a month for a game server. It used to be 15 before it monopolized the game servers. I cant pay 30$ for a server so now instead of getting a lower amount of money you are getting non. Its for business but it really makes nitrado unenjoyable and also stops a lot of people from enjoying the experience of ark without having to worry about 24/7 sweats on official servers. You should really make it 15$ again.

As we approach the June release of The Center, as well as the ongoing remaster of Aberration and the future of Bob's Tall Tales, our team remains dedicated to continually improving the live game experience. Admin / Trusted Player Tool - Game Save Visualiser Just a quick post of my own instead of hijacking others and name-dropping a new tool I've been working on. It's essentially my own UI which visualises some of the great work by others who have worked on parsing the save file data and providing "toolkits" for others to use. The work was originally based on a java based utility called ark-tools which used ark-savegame-toolkit to output JSON text files which encouraged me to make something simple to list the information in master/detail grids. I appreciate the response Tylanater. Apologies, you are referring to 1x? Certainly not adverse to a slower progression but my understanding was all official servers were 2x? Or are you referring to an unofficial server? On PvP you don't have to ascend at all. You can transfer your character to another server at any time via a drop or obelisk. As far as catching up the honest truth is the PvP meta is rough. You'd probably do better off on 1x servers. The grind is longer but all the sweat lords play on small tribes. All the big tribes on small tribes ARE cheating and account sharing to have 6 people on 24/7 basically. A lot more common to find friendly(ish) alphas on 1x, even if you have to transfer around a bit first.

This is a configuration set on the server. You will only be able to join servers where this setting is enabled. If a server is configured with AllowSharedConnections=False, then it is set so that the only people that can join the server are people who directly own the game. This is primarily done to prevent griefing and bypassing of bans. Until you own the game, you can only play on servers where the server configuration is AllowSharedConnections=True. Since this is not the default setting for a server, good luck finding a server you can play on.
