  1. A craftable tame ? I'm not mad at it if it's the case, I just can't imagine what it'd be for.
  2. The dirty little secret about bug fixing is that it doesn't pay the bills. Paid DLC does.
  3. So I've started wondering... the suggestions have been remodeled on the official forums so that people could vote for them. But there is never an incentive (for instance in the weekly community crunch) to look for them, browse them, vote for them. As a result, the number of votes is low compared to how many people play this game daily. I've mentioned several times on Twitter that a good way to show that the Ark devs care about those suggestions would be to highlight a handful each week in the Community Crunch (one suggestion would never be allowed to be twice, and being part of the highlights would NOT be an indicator that they are favored by the devs). Ced said he'd look into doing that. Never happened since. Which, ok, you do you. It was just a suggestion about the suggestions, right ? Nothing mandatory. Except nothing at all has been done. Nothing has been announced about any of suggestions that gained a lot of votes. Have they not reached enough votes ? What's the minimum amount of votes for a suggestion to be put on the map for future updates or content ? If a suggestion has a lot of votes but is not doable in the foreseeable future, will you tell us or let us guess ? Isn't it time to do *something* about that ? Some feedback about our feedback ? Is it worth reading them ? Is it worth voting for them ? Is it worth coming up with them ? Is it worth trying to take part in this exercise at all ? When we try to tell you how to solve some of the problems we have, are we actually screaming into the void ? At the end of the day, it's not so much feeling like a way to communicate, but like an empty gesture. I don't get why you people have such a hard time with a bit of transparency. This is a dinosaur game, not the nuclear codes. Especially on a slow week with no major announcement, giving us a bit of insight about the inner workings of tools you have yourself put in place would really go a long way.
  4. Very happy about this map (I've been playing it for months on the Workshop... I still can't tell what my favorite biome is) and this new d(e)ino. And I'm so happy it's breedable, the color regions look cool af and getting a few mutated puppies might look really awesome. Hoping we get to hear the "making of" for its sound effects !
  5. Suggestion : each week the community crunch should include links to 5 suggestions from the forums (and one given suggestion can't be linked in more than one community crunch). Not necessarily the most popular (not necessarily the least popular of course ) and OBVIOUSLY with no strings attached from the WildCard team, but so that people have a shot at upvoting some suggestions they have not seen. Or don't have the time to comb through. There is just so much to read since the revamp. ...obviously I didn't post that in the suggestions
  6. That baby is too OP I can't imagine WildCard not nerfing the guy's harvesting abilities at the very least. And that stomp, oh boy (did you know the Ark Additions Brachio can stomp underwanter... and kill the fishies around even though they are clearly not on land ? #arkphysics). Don't get me wrong, I like the Brachio, but WildCard seems to have a tendency to think that we only deserve pain, suffering, and spending a lot of time to do things. The Brachio is too beautiful for this world. This being said, I ADORE its taming mechanism. It's truly unique and it takes some time to master. It's a precision job (taming is rarely about precision in Ark), it requires a lot of ammo (and no tranq), it's something you can't improvise... it's not something you can do randomly just because you happened to run into one, you have to plan a bit ahead and put in some skill. The Ark Additions brachio is the epitome of adding new challenges to an aging game with just a couple of great ideas. TL;DL : please don't change the taming method for the brachio if it's included.
  7. Yes to this. Also : adding similar death beacons for dead creatures from the tribe.
  8. First of all yes, second of all yes. The added bonus of making the deino a climber is making me very happy (and as intended, sets it apart from the classic raptor). Watch me rob nests on the daily. Edit : I just now got that the deino might also like spoiled meat ?
  9. A simple QoL thing, really. Singleplayer & solo survivors appreciate the doed's ability to do so. I think every creature that can be carried by an argy should have that ability actually.
  10. THIS. I fully support this, but the highlighted parts of this sentence in particular (emphasis mine). I think this is a great opportunity to add layers to early and middle stages. The idea that I could CHOOSE my tech tree progression instead of just following the usual thatch->wood->stone->metal (and tek for those who want to fight bosses), using the materials & Engram points to follow different "branches" is awesome. Out of the 3 DLC, we had a new building tier only once (adobe, in SE), and it vastly depends on what map you're on. Meanwhile Prim+ is right there for the taking, with mats that, I'm assuming, can be collected/crafted easily without tweaks to maps, and offers the equivalent of DLC building tier that we didn't get through Aberration & Extinction (and that the Homestead update only did halfway). Not to mention, being able to combine all the building tiers to design unique bases would be so exciting ! Happy building, happy RPing, more variety in farming... for a lot of players like me, this could feel like an actual DLC, exciting and with new game mechanics to explore. I love all of what this suggests & implies. I cannot overstate how enthusiastic this makes me.
  11. I'd be willing to buy a new season pass if it guaranteed me a new creature every month or so, for instance. Well obviously the right balance would have to be found between the number of creatures, the pace of the releases (...and we know WildCard's track record on that), and the work required to make those new creatures, but I think it's an option that should be out there since we're talking about money. It seems more reliable that microtransactions, too. (now I'm curious : how does it work on mobile when people loot your stuff but some of it comes from microtransactions ?) Yes, but also not entirely. So many things are still possible, and looking at the creature mods, you can see that some of them are really creative not only in terms of appearances, but abilities too. Adding creatures to the game again would probably mean that some mod devs could get their equivalent of the Homestead update (only... stop trying to nerf mods we love and use as is, please, WildCard). Let those mod sponsorships bear fruits for the whole community, and not just PC players. It'd be these mod devs' time to shine, and some of them are overdue for the opportunity. Also I'm all for more regular TLC passes, even if that means having fewer creatures in each phase. And it probably should be the case if we're honest. But I agree with many above that getting rid of some creatures, just because they're supposedly useless or unoriginal now, is a very bad idea. We all have favorites, first of all, and one survivor's boring dino is another's most cherished one (especially on PvE where imho there is more flexibility, especially for herbivores ; we don't need to soak turrets so we're more flexible than the common trike/stego deal). But second of all, Ark is a game that prides itself on how many creatures it makes available ; deleting content instead of improving and/or adding up to would be a suicidal move.
  12. This statement is a textbook example of the Streisand effect.
  13. An Ark animated series... why are we not funding this ?! Speaking of funding : since videogame development is budgeted months or even years in advance, how come you guys are completely unable to NOT keep us in the dark regarding the future of the game ? If you're working on DLC, or content of any kind, supposedly things are pretty much set in stone, right ? Don't give us a timeframe, we know how bad you're at that part, but at least tell us what's in the (wild)cards instead of giving us evasive hints. Asking for a TLC pass 3 friend.
  14. This is great news. I'm a tiny bit sad that the greenhouse tier got so little love (I always regreted that S+ didn't add much to it except double doors ; gates, pillars or 4-high walls would be awesome for us builders, though probably costly), but that's me nitpicking. I'm always happy when Ark gives us opportunities for more crazy bases, especially since Extinction really didn't do much in that department. What's the next step for Ark now ?
  15. YES. New flyer. I've been hoping for new flyers. Fingers crossed for its use being more than just seeing in the dark though !
  16. That's a Titan, except I really wish it were called something else eventually. Have the devs ever seen an ingame chat used by actual players ? Nobody calls creatures by their full name, including the TITANosaur. Anywaaaaaaay.
  17. The craving for actual new content is real. New map, or new creature, or new whatever... this should tell the devs something. Sure we would like to see bugs fixed (thought most of us have developed strategies around them as if they were basegame features by now) but on the other hand most fixes end up with a patch the next day with a new fix fixing the fix... so at least new content makes us immediately happy. And gives us something to get excited for. Whatever happened to getting excited for upcoming stuff ? Can't do that with no upcoming stuf in the foreseeable future. Come on Ark, help us like you. (PS: who do I talk to about an accessibility issue ?)
