  1. Add the "no structure support needed" game.ini setting from S+ The option to build unimpeded by pillar requirements is great fun and makes for some truly creative and immersive structures.
  2. QOL Archaeopteryx pickup A radial option to place Archaeopteryx on shoulder (it already uses same animations as Microraptor). Alternatively make it immune to damage while being held like animals are when on a players shoulder. The caveat that you can't use weapons while having it as a parachute is fair and makes sense, what doesn't make sense is that any creature you're fighting can kill your Archaeopteryx while it's being held, making bringing them with you pointless, in turn making them useless.
  3. It's perfectly possible to have the creatures in a second mod, and only spawning on your custom map. This is better as it allows players to transfer them like with vanilla creatures, which both makes the creatures more desirable as it gives them more use, but also the map more desirable as it's then more suited to use on server clusters. Creatures locked to a modded map are also hell to deal with when there are conflicts. And as a server host I avoid modded maps that have creatures locked to them because not only is it more restrictive for the players but it's a massive pain for me to deal with A) constant questions about why they can't be transferred and B) if one of these creatures is conflicting with another mod or over-spawning or something there is nothing I can do about it because being hard cooked into the same files as the map makes them essentially out of my reach, they overwrite any settings or priorities I try to set.
  4. If I may, I recommend making new creatures a separate mod. If you want to have them only spawn on your map, you can do this while still having the creatures as a separate mod. It also allows these new creatures to be transferred to other maps in a server cluster after being tamed on your map, which makes both more desirable logistically for players and hosts alike.
  5. Remove publicly bigoted mod author "LeutianKane" from sponsored mods program! This is a selection of screenshots from the official ARK modding Discord server. This user "Leutian" is part of your sponsored mod program. You pay him thousands of dollars a month and promote his content. Please stop doing that. This guy threw such a tantrum over the Discord servers icon changing to a pride month version that it was changed back. He seems to take any opportunity he can to make transphobic and homophobic statements. He and others have harassed/chased LGBT members off of the server. Wild Card needs to send a message that you care about the vulnerable members in our community and remove this mans mods from the sponsored mod program immediately, as well as cease funding him. Returning the icon would also be a good step in the right direction.
  6. Let us build on Ragnarok ruins! The best areas on the map are blocked off as no build areas, despite numerous times Ragnarok was promoted with building in the ruins in mind. I'm not even talking about artifact ruins or the mini-boss caves, though it's also worth noting those ignore server settings too. I'm talking about purely aesthetic ruins, completely cut off from building. It is ridiculous that Ragnarok has areas that ignore server settings. If we are going to spend our own money to host a server we want to be able to use the settings the game is advertising.
  7. Atlas is looking pretty impressive, great work has gone into it. And also great to hear more content is still planned for ARK! Will Atlas have a public devkit available? And would users be permitted to import these new creatures, environmental assets and such into ARK?
  8. Will every animal receive a corrupted variant, or will some of the other DLC creatures be left out? Assuming they don't get corrupted variants, what would happen to them if they were transferred to this map and then became corrupted? Will non-tameable animals also receive corrupted variants?
  9. New raptor abilities are perfect, but the model could still do with more feathers. Not a lot more, just enough to connect the patches together (so the shoulders and more on the back).
  10. OK so heres a simplified version of the code I set. I tried to make a Steam guide for it but Steam cut off most of it and now I'm not even gonna bother trying to do this completely and I'm just gonna add the items I actually care about.

So I wrote out a nice list of code and the game turned it all into this garbled nonsense: I guess this is my fault for not saving it elsewhere before launching the game, but around 5-8 hours of pasting and searching for IDs down the drain is disheartening to say the least. Why did it do this and how do i prevent the game from doing this again? I don't wannaw aste an entire day again tomorrow on this only for it to constantly do this sillyness.
  12. I made an attempt to skim most of the comments in the earlier half of this thread, so sorry if this has already been answered. Does anyone have the code for the default beacon drops? I'd like to add more items to them and it would have potentially hours of time not to have to re-add all the original items too. Wiki didn't seem to have it.
