  1. Do you understand that "game time" and "forum activity" are two different things?
  2. WC doesn't reply on the forums, they never have and they never will.
  3. No, there is no way to remove creative mode from single-player. The only option would be for you to create a dedicated server that you are the administrator for and you let them log in to it. Keep in mind, when you play ARK without creative mode it takes much, Much (MUCH) longer to play, this game can be a massive time sink. If her goal is to make her kids hate the game so they stop playing then she just needs to control their playing time. Creative mode is not the issue here.
  4. If you're playing in single-player mode, you can use the "saveworld" command at any time. Open up the console (the default key to do this is "TAB"). When the command line shows up just type "saveworld" and press enter. Then press TAB again so close the console line. Check out the "Console Commands" page on the wiki, many things you can do. When you're in single-player you can make the game as easy or as hard as you want it to be, customize the game to match your personal preferences. https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Console_commands
  5. It's really not clear what you're asking for. Are you trying to figure out how to submit art that to be shown in the Community Crunch? As for the ARK2 or ARK Ascended ideas forum, Click on "Home" on the top-left corner of the screen. All of the sections of the forum can be found from there.
  6. When have they ever done that? The moment they had 2 maps they started introducing critters that were not on all maps, some critters make sense on multiple maps, some critters only make sense on a couple of maps. The idea that they would ever introduce a new critter on all maps is rather silly and ignores the entire history of the game.
  7. That seems to be a more likely answer. If they no longer support network/group play then it's fair game for someone to put out a 3rd party patch that allows people to do it on their own, we've seen than plenty of times.
  8. That's pretty much wishful thinking. How many times can you find where game publishers were sued by players? And even worse, how many were successful? I mean, I could be missing something here, but I don't think so. Players threaten lawsuits constantly on game forums everywhere and yet they never happen. The only chance of a lawsuit would be if the shareholders believed that WC was damaging their value, and given what we have learned about the ownership of WC/SG that's not going to happen.
  9. Interesting. It typically takes so long to connect to ARK servers (as compared to Conan, Valheim & others) that I've been working from the assumption that WC was involved in the process, and that the portion of the infrastructure that WC is responsible for has been the cause of the slowness. Having said that, connection still needs the Steam system, which means that WildCard could (as far as I know) tell Steam to stop allowing logins to ASE servers, and likewise for Epic users. Or is there something I'm overlooking?
  10. I understand you were pretty much kidding, but there's another real issue waiting in the weeds here. The above assumes that the multie-player version of ASE continues working after ASA is released. Even for private servers, we have to authenticate through WildCard+Steam A&A infrastructure, there's no guarantee that will continue to work after they stop official support for ASE. My group is focusing on finishing our run through for this very reason. We're just about to finish Gen1 and are going to skip straight to Gen2. Then, and only then, we'll come back to Crystal Isles if multi-player is still available.
  11. Forever? No one. But for at least as long at EA does, and that's the very definition of setting the bar low. Only a trash company fails to meet the "EA standards of excellence". Shutting down the servers immediately when releasing a different version of the game fails to meet the standard set by nearly the entire gaming industry.
  12. They're not. Maybe it's time to vote with your dollars and spend your money elsewhere.
  13. Therizino. As far as I'm concerned they're better than rexes. 1) Equal to rexes in combat and... 2) More agile and maneuverable, they don't get stuck on each other nearly as much as rexes and they are much more fun for you as a rider. 3) Reduced damage from fire (Dragon boss) 4) Self-healing with veggie cakes 5) The only "down side" is that you can't self-heal by eating meat, but in reality it doesn't matter. When you consider how long it takes to self-heal using meat this doesn't matter. Self-healing with rexes using meat only matters in between boss fights, not during the fight. And even then any healing that a theri needs can be provided by daeodons between fights. With that said, rexes have three advantages: a) There are more of them on most maps, so it's easier to find high levels. b) Rexes tame faster than theri's (but once you're taming with kibble the different doesn't really matter. c) If you're using tek rexes they get the extra 30 levels before taming. Many people still use regular rexes for reason a & b, and I think that's a mistake. The only real reason to use rexes is if you're using tek rexes. With that said, if you are going to find & tame high levels, and if you're going to start your breeding program with high stats and especially if you're going to spend all of the time and work required to add mutations to your breeding program - I think theri's are better most of the time. Dimorphodon's ftw. Not for boss fights, obviously. It's pretty hard to beat having a flock of dimo's following you around the map as you explore, hunt, etc. Even without mutating, if you breed from good starter stock, a flock of dimo's end up being pretty OP for most game play.
  14. Sorry I don't have good news, all of the basilisk spawn points have a 98.2% chance of spawning a regular basilisk and a 1.8% chance of spawning an alpha. Take a look at the spawn map to see. https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Spawn_Map/Aberration?creature=Basilisk
  15. Roaring uses a bit of stam, but it recovers before the next time you can roar. The only time stam would be an issue would be if the yuty rider has to do a lot of extra running (which means the fight is already not going well). Health is more important, for every level you put in Stam I would put 2, 3, or 4 levels in health. Personally, we don't put any stam on our yuty's. Our yuty rider has a daeodon on follow running passive healing and we make sure that the person who's using whistles to control the fighting dino's works together with the yuty rider to make sure that the fighting pack will get the benefits of both the yuty yells and the daeodon healing. If you have tamed even 1 yuty with a good health stat, that's all you're going to need for boss fights. It's usually a better use of your time to keep taming yuty's until you get one with good HP than it is to spend time trying to get stam mutations.
  16. Here in the "General Discussion" forum we can sympathize with you, but no one here can do anything about it. Sounds like you should be submitting a bug report, that's the only way the info will get to the devs.
  17. In addition to the good information Cervantes gave you... 1) How do you know it's someone from another server? Has someone watched them doing it? Does someone in your tribe have video or at least screenshots? I think this might be something reportable to GM's, but if you're going to submit a report you will need more than just an opinion, it will be necessary to document that it's happening. 2) Logging in & out while trapped/caught doesn't make them guilty, they might just be logging in to see if they can escape your base. It's possible to glitch into a base without being able to glitch back out. For example, if a wall tile is attached to a weird snap point. It's happened to me, I've glitched into a base my mistake and couldn't get back out until someone left a door open. 3) Rather than trying a tek forcefield, it would be better to go through your base looking for glitchy snap points, or to see if you can find a way to sneak in through the mesh, IMO.
  18. I'll tell you what, I'll concede that this looked like an aggressive answer and it's understandable that it made you hostile. My response was bad and I'll own that, my apologies. With that said, are you willing to have an open and honest conversation about whether it's a good idea or not, knowing that we might still disagree after talking, or are you only interested in talking to people who agree with you? Agreed, me too. What WildCard is going is massive scumbaggery. But agreeing on one thing doesn't mean we'll agree on everything. WildCard is being terrible to their customers, but that doesn't automatically mean that the idea is a good one, those are two separate discussions.
  19. So when you post ideas that are easily debated it's 'Speaking your mind' but when other people disagree with you it's "nonsense". it's a good thing you don't let your sense of entitlement run away with you.
  20. You don't get to decide what's relevant, this is a public forum. If you don't want to argue then don't, no one is forcing you to reply. Your own argument applies equally to you. what you think is smart doesn't matter. "Only what the developers think" is smart matters, "and you do not speak for them." Based on your own logic, you don't know what's smart because you're not one of the developers. I never said I did, you're making up a fake argument to argue against. Of course it does. Looking at the game industry should help you understand that even though it feels like a good idea it might not really be one. If you don't understand the game industry, and you don't understand the different revenue models that are driving the industry, you have no idea what's a smart idea and what isn't. Which would be great, I support that goal completely, it would be great to see the Official servers for ASE to stay up. But that doesn't mean your idea would be able to make that goal happen. Wanting something to be true and having it actually be true are not the same thing. No matter how much you want it to be a smart idea that doesn't mean it is one. I think it's a total scumbag move that they're taking down the ASE official servers. Even garbage companies like EA keep up official servers for older versions of game when they come out with a new version, but WildCard/Snail manages to treat their customers worse than EA does, which is quite and accomplishment in scumbaggery. Except that it's not, especially if WildCard doesn't think its' a good one. As you pointed out, "What you think matters not. Only what the developers think". Never said I was. Another example of you making up an argument to argue against. Your sincerity is overwhelming. Hugs to you too.
  21. Again, WildCard is really good at getting money from people, that is the one thing they absolutely care enough about. You're talking about a game that has made somewhere between $1B-$2B, that's a lot of caring (about money). And also again, compare the number of games that use monthly subscriptions to the number of games that don't. That answer will also tell you that it's not as smart as you think it is. The answers don't change just because you dislike them.
  22. If it was as smart as you think, they would have done it. WildCard has faults, but being stupid is not one of them, they're very good at convincing people to give them money. How many games can you think of that are still able to charge a monthly fee to play there game? Now how many games cannot do that and are forced to use other methods to try to make their money. Compare the answers to those two questions and you'll start to get an idea of how smart it would be.
