Have there been any mention or rumours of beginner servers coming to ASA? I’m hoping we’ll get them or something very similar because I much prefer the early game PvP and think there was always good pop on those servers

I’m 99% certain that I tested it and you can’t transfer there with a naked survivor. So slightly different. I don’t think you can transfer off them either.I dunno if the plan is to introduce them to the cluster at some point?

I assumed it was a ps5 bug? I can’t see them either

The question about raising a base that has turrets. In short, yes, very easy if you’re offline. if you know for certain that none of your turrets fired any bullets then maybe you have a blind spot somewhere?

I think WC have admitted that the servers are bad. Probably why we got cryos, to try and help it. I find that if there is 20 or less players online it’s ok but once it’s 30 plus it’s just painful trying to play the game. It reminds me of playing Gen2 when it came out

Dragon is glitchy at the moment. I’ve had it be invisible and getting stuck under the map

Once you unlock the tek transmitter you can start the boss from there now. Doesn’t help for the first few bosses but useful later on. I used to just de-spawn drops until one dropped near my base and start the boss from that

Purlovia is a good shout. Making it so you could ride it would be good. I always liked the idea that the higher the level of it meant a parasaur would only detect it from closer distances so you had a better chance of hiding some loot. I’d like to see the Megalosaurus get a tlc. Apart from Ab it’s kinda unless because of the daytime debuff. I like the idea that when it’s in a cave it isn’t affected by the daytime de buff.

I’m also having this issue. I think it must be a bug?

Does anyone have any good advice about how to find megalosaurus on the island to tame? Both carno island cave and central cave (pack) are built in on my server. So I’ve been killing all the wild dinos in clever cave trying to get a megalosaurus to spawn but after clearing the cave about 20 times I’ve only managed to tame 1 megalo. Are there any more spawns or anything else I can do to try and make one spawn? *Official servers*

What’s the command for foliage online? Does it work, it worked for me in SP when I was testing it out but didn’t when online on PvP servers…. I would prefer that they didn’t have this in the game. I can see why it’s in for performance reasons but it kinda spoils the idea of playing hidden guerrilla warfare style of the game

C Ab, I think it’s got the best base spots (PvP), it’s a beautiful map with an interesting lore. The dinos are really cool. And I really enjoy that there aren’t any fliers or gigas

As a player who has played solo most of the time on ark PvP (PlayStation) I think you have to accept that you can’t play the game the way a bigger tribe plays. I try to always accept that if I get found, I’ll get raided. So it’s all about being a ghost on the server and spreading out your loot in hiding spots. I’ve heard that PC is full of cheaters who can find pretty much anything though. Console isn’t so bad for this. I would like to see WC make changes to the raiding meta though. I think it should be harder to raid people. I think early game is fairly balanced but once people start breeding 100k HP+ stegos and turtles etc. Then the raiding meta just becomes broken imo

Interesting topic. I recently started playing island LDL to get some practice in playing the island again before ASA. Here is how I started: Step 1: I used my levelled character and went straight to tame a mid level PT but got really lucky and found a 140 quickly and tamed it. Step 2: From there I build a hidden 1x1. I fit a smithy, forge, pestle and bed it in and use it to make a few grenades and stuff to tame another PT. Often I’ll make two or three 1x1 stone bases like this incase one gets raided. The key here is to stay hidden. My motto is that I don’t need turrets if they can’t find me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t Step 3: Whilst looking for a high level PT or Argy I like to fly low through the dense forests incase I find a hidden base to raid as this can help me snowball if I get lucky. At the least I can get some quick gunpowder and narcotics out of it. Sometimes I get lucky and find cryo’d dinos. Like a PT or Argy. Step 4: once I have a couple of PTs/ argy I prepare to tame a low level Quetz. The Quetz will be my base as I can usually stay hidden for long enough to progress. I should have said this is as a Solo. Step 5: I grind out the basics that I need to start my quetz base and once it’s done I can start looking at progressing more. I can now raise babies, pre fab items for a bigger base and make C4 to go raid more tribes. Usually I’ll make taming a good Stego a priority and breed it so I have something to soak or rocket run turrets.
