Mutations are the game mechanic that most favors the large and mega tribes that have already established themselves on their servers, these tribes, in addition to having better tools, weapons, structures, number of players and experience in the game, also have better thanks to creature mutations that are excessively stronger than those normally present as to make it impossible for new players to enter the servers and have a chance of surviving.
WC no longer allow the limit of 20 mutations to be exceeded so as to give the mega tribes something to do but without giving an advantage over all the others who are too large.
One last thing, the enormous time required to obtain mutations is one of the biggest reasons why large tribes prefer not to fight each other so as not to waste all the time spent instead exploiting small tribes that cannot respond to aggression, which leads to an unbalanced pvp where the large tribes don't fight each other but only attack the small ones this is not pvp and just preying on the weakest
