Desmodus Taming

I've read that you can ride a stego when taming desmodus. Can the desmodus not take you off a stego, like they can with other mounts? I know the Andrewsarchus is supposed to be the best option. But I'm interested in knowing more about the stego as an option.

Stegos prevent the rider from being dismounted, so u cant tame the desmodus while riding one as it cant pick u up from the stego. the andrew saddle prevents dismounts as well.

a magmasaur would probably also work to keep the rider from being picked up by a desmodus.

Awesome, thanks. The use of the stego allows the player to control when the Desmodus is able to pick you up. So you can apparenlty provide it some tamed Moschops with blood packs, placed on follow. The desmodus is supposed to pick up the moschops to increase their tamign lvl, then you let them pick you up by dismounting the stego.

you can also use daedons for the desmodus to feed off of.  The daedon has the nice feature of healing itself while also being sucked dry.
