orionwinterfire
. . . The eff do dinos load before structures? Seems like a no-brainer that the more static objects should be first, so there must be some sort of bizarre programming - related reason, right? orionwinterfire
And I also wonder why (how?) the dinos are "allowed" to act before their surrounding are even loaded. Not trying to be critical here so much as satisfy my curiosity.

I'm sure devs are aware of peoples hatred for it haha
Rancor
So many people hate this issue but I have yet to see a solid answer for the way things load in and why. You can't hide bases or dinos when static things like trees and rocks don't protect you. Really a big issue for tribes on PvP when you can't keep your base hidden since all a player has to do is fly just out of tree render range and find all your 1x1s. Ranger1
True, but it's also the reason why dinos end up inside walls, or outside of containment pens... which on a daily level is even more frustrating.

You mean you don't like when your third floor dinos end up in your first floor bedroom?

I was kinda hoping that someone who has a clue about such things filling me in on the wheretos and howfors of the problem would make it easier to deal with, and less detrimental to my enjoyment of the game. BigWolf
I remember a time when Dinos would load before the terrain in some circumstances (probably still happens at times tbf) Lead to some interesting situations
