KooshieBooshie Posted April 25, 2016 Share Posted April 25, 2016 So today I crafted an apprentice compound bow with 160% damage. With all new weapons I get, I test it on people with my armor. I shot a guy in the chest with the armor I just repaired and my chestpiece got taken down to under half durability. Its max durability is 196.5. Does the comp bow really take that much? Or is it that it just has high damage and/or everything that has that high of damage normally takes that much durability? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The wiki doesn't explain this well You could test that by putting in a stone arrow and then tranq arrow instead of the metal arrow. And see how much durability loss happens. rpicardi1 Posted April 25, 2016 Share Posted April 25, 2016 Metal arrows on compound bows do a lot of damage to armor. An an apprentice compound bow does a lot more damage per shot fired. eESTlane Posted April 25, 2016 Share Posted April 25, 2016 I like my numbers: wooden bow base dmg - 55 crossbow base dmg - 95 compound bow base dmg - 55 (with metal arrows it's 202 though) Now, what arrows did you use?
