How to tame a castordarite

So I can see them but I can't lure them out of the water so every time I try to knock them out they kill me. I have just started playing so need tips

If your referring to the jelly fish like animals those cant be tamed but the beaver like Dino can be easily bola and knocked out at early levels its hard to tame becasue you don't have crops but berrys work as well

Build a 2x2 stone foundation with a ramp leading up on one side, stone door frames all round. Aggro the beaver up the ramp and into the trap.

Make sure you have plenty of narcotics t keep it asleep as it drops torpor pretty fast.

He said aggro, not Argy. Make a trap, lure it in by hitting it with a tranq darts.

Tranq arrows will work yes. You can use this site to work out how many tranq arrows you would need. http://www.dododex.com/

If you only started last week and can only play at weekends then maybe you need more time to get prepared for it. But you certainly can tame them, but with Mejoberries it will be a long tame, depending on the settings used.

But AdligerAdler how do you lure it in there if I usually die when getting it out of the water

It's castoroides, but most players just call it beaver.

You can build a 1x1x1 box of doorframes with a ramp to lure it in. It won't get out.

Alternatively you can use 4 fence foundations instead of 1 normal foundation.

Another option is a taming raft. Super useful in noob stage. Plenty of videos on Youtube to inspire you.

You're as fast or faster running (even at base level) as a beaver if you're not loaded down with weight. Just run from it, run up the ramp making sure it's following you and out the other side.

You can also stand on a rock near where they are. Just make sure they don't climb up with you. Of course, once they spend enough time running in circles around you, they will run off and require you to jump down.
