Does the Ark Ascended server have a memory leak?

Memory use seems to gradually creep up through the day !
Kind-of implies there's a memory leak.

The increase is approximately 50k per minute.

Yes it does. Players don't seem to be cleaned up correctly, either, so having 500 unique players means it's time to reboot.

 Server version 26.11 - rebooted at about 6am (UK).

08:30, 7 people online. 14 GB RAM in use.
11:45, 23 people online.  20 GB RAM in use.
13:00, 27 people online, 22.5 GB in use. 
18:00, 25 people online, 32 GB in use.
19:30, 32 people online, 35 GB in use.
21:30, 22 people online, 42 GB in use.

That looks like a memory leak !

Yes, we got ~50-60 players peak per day and after 24h the server's memory consumption went to 120 Gig

Seems a lot better now - 11GB used with 20+ people online at 9pm last night.

I'm hoping for even more RAM and CPU optimisation though 🙂

Yepp, exactly the same Here around 11,5GB (Savegame File at 90mb) Players around 5-7 (its not Public promoted).

 

Yeah true... they need more optimization on it. Currently i've no clue how to continue to host a full Cluster (12 Maps) with this high memory usage.

 

And don't forget the Island is a small, not the populars map. I don't want to imagine what it's like for Gen2 or Ragnarok.

 

If a Dedi Servers with 128GB RAM will not longer enough for Cluster, many Server owners (incl me) have to think about twice, how to continue private Hosting...

 

Whats your plan? Or you just spend the Money on a 256GB RAM Server?
