SarcoSnack
I am also having issues with RTX 2080. I keep getting "unreal engine exiting due to d3d device being lost ". I saw some old posts that suggested reintalling Directx in Ark and add "-norhithread" to launch options. Still keep getting the issue. For reference I already read these: https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/2549465882932805572/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/1699416432430202784/

CptChandler
Hello Ark ppl. So just got a rtx 2080. And surprise surprise there are problems. :) I have 4 k hours in game with a Msi gtx 1070 with almost no problems. Sure the occasional direct x crash and the usual stuff, but overall stable performance. So I pop inn my overpriced Rtx and now I bsod after 5 min every time I play with error msg "Bad_pool:caller" I can play other titles with no issues but not Ark. All temperatures are well within operating range. I have done memtests, drive tests. Updated bios and done every update I can think of. Also did full driver uninstall with driver removal tool (ddu). No luck. I was wondering if other 20xx card owners have had similar issues and if so if they know of any possible solutions. I have ofc communicated with both nvidia and Msi but no solution has been offered. Specs: Msi rtx 2080 Gaming x Trio. I7-5930k. 32 G. Hyper-x predator@3200. Asus x99 Deluxe. Any help would be great. Thx.

CptChandler
Thank you for the reply. Yes I saw that post, but none of that worked for me, and since the tread was closed i opened a new one hoping for some new insight.
Guest
It's not unusual for new hardware to cause issues for a while. You might be experiencing a driver issue, a problem triggered by Unreal's libraries, or something peculiar to Ark. Add it as a new bug report... https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/pc-bug-reports/ Be sure to give as much information as you can.
