Can you build in the Ruins/Caves/Castle or near Water well spots on PVE on the new Ragnarok map?

I know on the -Island- map you cannot build in caves at all, and on the -Center- map you can buid in a FEW caves and ruins, and on -SE- map you cant build anywhere near water well spots... But what about the new Ragnarok?

PVE Ragnarok Build-Zone checklist-

Water vein areas = YES

Ruin areas = Yes.

Castle = YES

Caves = YES.

Dungeon Ruins/Caves = YES.

Subterranean Caves = YES.

Boss Caves/Dungeons/Ruins = NO.

Extra+

Flying in Caves = YES.

Build around Obilisk = NO.

Build around Drops = NO.

Drops in water for aquatic creatures = Maybe

(Yes this thread is for all console ark or even pc players that are seeking information that is hard to find.)

Thank you to : Zed38 : for assisting with a great deal of juicy information.

Essentially, Ragnarok is a lot less restricted in build rules - i suspect this was done because of the vertical cliffy nature of the map, the focus on gryphons and ice wyverns, and lack of ease of access for land dinos in most places (especially gigas). Additionally, the rules are relaxed and left for players to manage so as to not cause excessive additional stress on Bob and Jane (the people doing ticket support for the world).

essentially there are only a few places you cant build. around supply drops and obilisks, and the cave systems that have bosses.

all caves are Flier Enabled.

They do need to tend to this PVE not allowing building on the wells even with the option enabled, if it is still occurring.

It's so long back I can't find the thread where it was discussed.

We were able to build near wells around the first 2 weeks on Scorched then they blocked off building near wells or the obs..

The other parts of my question are what im worried about...

What it came back to was something around that time was brought in, in particular the revised cannot build spots for metal nodes and such.

They need some communal system to allow tribes/alliances to share water sources. Or to allow them to be open to all, so that alliances wouldn't matter as such in that regard.

But it wasn't 'just' the water wells, something was done around that time that also affected the no-build status of the wells. Even with the setting allowing people to build there, it doesn't take effect somehow.

elemental?

He's likely thinking of the rock elemental... But as I said, chances are this is linked to the non-building on wells that Scorched has set, where you can't use them as they are classed as metal node spawns, or something relevant to the stopping of building.

Metal node spawns dont stop building...

I understand if they put a build blocker like wells and obs are from scorched, but metal nodes have no effect on build blocking...

We even discussed (Not in the thread below, but the one where it was reported) this very factor in the thread I seen regarding this issue of not being able to build on wells, on Scorched Earth, in PvE.

PvP servers can simply disable the setting, but even in PvE when disabled, this takes effect regardless.

Ruins were stated that you'd be able to build them into your base designs. Cave Building is unlikely to have changed.

The thread has barely been up for a few days. Give it time, also i would suggest reddit to actually get answers (from players and devs) .. these forums are massivley restricted in both content and limitations.

Looked around reddit as well, people have asked the same thing but they usually end up getting way offtopic and they go no where very quickly. :(

Thanks, and i think the PVE does scare people off, alot of players think us pve players arent worth much, but we can help find things out that are usefull sometimes, besides we got it worse with lack of picking up wild dinos or making alot of dinos useless with out the abilities and limited off map parts... Going off topic, still looking around.

Have asked this in other posts but does ragnarok have a spot to transfer water dinos?? Other than a tek transmitter of course, supply drop, OB close to deep water things of this nature. Any info would be helpful before release on console on the 4th.

I have seen 2 drops in some youtube videos of players showing off the map, maybe more but i can say ive seen 2...

I dont know the regions or spawn locations, but i bet this player made map had it in mind for the players sake.

And the obs look like there on islands so i presume you cant use the obs for water dinos... :(

PVE Ragnarok Build-Zone checklist-

Water vein areas = presumed a No. ANSWER: BUILDABLE, NO RESERVE (we built our gryphon trap right on top of one), in fact, the water vein inside the castle courtyard had another tribe put down a water thingy on the vein *after* we had reserved the land. Wasnt expecting that :o but no big deal. they left it unlocked, and we can pipe water from the swamp just below the castle easily enough when needed.

Ruin areas = stated by devs as Yes. ANSWER: BUILDABLE

Castle = Unknown ANSWER: BUILDABLE (we live there)

Caves = presumed a Yes. ANSWER: BUILDABLE (except boss caves)

Dungeon Ruins/Caves = presumed a No. ANSWER: BUILDABLE (except boss caves)

Subterranean Caves = presumed a No. ANSWER: BUILDABLE (we live there, the caverns under castle)

Reply if you can answer these above and i will change it.
