  • Introducing the Yutyrannus!

    large.Dossier_Yutyrannusresize.jpg

A new Dino Dossier has been revealed, this one is everyone’s favourite fearsome feathered fearless fighter, the Yutryannus!

    Wild

The Yutyrannus Saevus is believed to be related to the Tyrannosaurus Rex but it is noticeably different upon first glance. Feathered creatures are not necessarily viewed as dangerous predators in the same light as other theropods. However, the Yutyrannus strikes fear into even the most skilled hunters on the island.

There are few wild predators that are able to pack-hunt alongside the generally hostile Carnotaurus, like the Yutyrannus does, with such ease. It is also the only creature I’ve seen to consistently induce a state of panic with its roar. Upon hearing it, most creatures in the area will flee for safety.

    Domesticated

A domesticated Yutyrannus can be a powerful offensive or defensive addition to war parties. With its mighty roar, it can induce fear in opposing creatures. Meanwhile, Yutyrannus can be trained to develop a confidence-boosting Battle-Cry which counteracts enemy attempts to induce fear, while also bolstering the resolve of allies. These unique “leadership” qualities make the Yutyrannus a versatile, and at times, a necessary creature to have on your side during large-scale confrontations.

This looks like an amazing addition to the game, although it is beginning to raise a concern that the maps are becoming too small for continual additions of dinos especially dangerous ones.  I enjoy the additions and don't wish to see it end but could we also see a future expansion of land mass to accomidate the expanding dino population?

I'd rather they "region lock" most spawns to give the different areas of the island a more distinct level of difficulty and flavor..

Poor nubins, they already have so much to fear, no carno sized pack hunters

I like your idea on this although the issue then is that servers would end up with construction in the "easier" zones to the point that newly joining players could not build unless they joined one of those tribes if those tribes are even recruiting.  That is positive and negative.  You get the two people who form a tribe and pillar off an entire zone greatly reducing the server population which helps with reducing a server latency and flooding the server, but can also limit game quality by creating a forced alpha tribe purely due to their greed not through accomplishments in ark.  So I do like your idea although I think ide like to see it more structured similar to the way it is currently where easier/less agressive dinos towards the beaches and more dangerous dinos the more inland you go.

I absolutely love the new creatures coming to Ark. But we need to fix the creatures and everything else before we add all of these things. I enjoy the updates a lot but when bugs are fixed, it makes the game a whole lot easier:meat:

Is this Yutyrannus dumb or smart? If its related to the T-Rex, I'm sure this creature must be dumb.

I like it though, I'm hoping this one will actually be useful...?

The Tylacoleo? Yeah that one is pretty cool but I would have to say the baryonyx is my favorite.

I hope that it is useful in large scale fights and raids, but I also hope its rare, And something that has to be worked for
