  1. I suggest adding a cave lion. They existed around the ice age, as did a lot of other ark creatures including the sabretooth tiger, woolly rhino, woolly mammoth, etc. You could add the cave lion as an enemy in caves, along with just a creature that roams around areas such as forests and fields. Ark has not yet had an animal like this, although there is a sabretooth tiger, the cave lion does somewhat resemble a modern day lion, one of the most popular animals, so I think that adding in something like this could really bring some life into the Fjordur map. If you are looking for something with abilities, I think it would be amazing if the cave lion was able to hunt in a different way as the other animals. Maybe you could crouch down with it and have it stalk prey through the grass. You could make it so prey is less likely to see it when it is crouched down as well. I hope you consider this option, and I will try giving other suggestions as well.
  2. I suggest adding the Alvarezsaurus to the new Fjordur map. One thing that Ark is short on is abilities for shoulder pets. Sure, there is the new Sinomacrops that can fly, but Ark is still missing something, and I think the Alvarezsaurus could really be a huge PVP game changer. This is a small dinosaur, bigger than a Compy, but still small. Now, the difference I think that this could have is an ability to open doors and windows, and maybe even open up storage boxes that have been locked. This dinosaur is so small, I think it would be amazing if you could throw it through a window and have it open the door from the inside, but since that is probably an extremely difficult thing to do, I've come up with the next best thing - for it to pick locks. If it is too early game for you to break into bases in PVP, I think this dino would be great, obviously it would be overpowered if it could immediately open metal doors, but I think you could add in an extra stat, maybe like a stat where if it gets enough points into that stat, it can start to open doors of different materials. Like I said before, this would be a shoulder pet, so you could carry it around with you. Now, with PVE starting to become more and more popular across Ark, and obviously the lock picking should only be available in PVP, I think this dino should also have an extra ability, maybe so that it is a little bit more useful in PVP, but I think it should have an ability where you can send it at a big carnivore and it will distract it for just enough time for you to escape, and then it will run back to you. Maybe it could be fast enough to outrun some carnivores, so it would run in circles, distracting the carnivore. Obviously you do not have to use those ability suggestions, I just think they would be cool, or you could just use one and not the other, but I would really like you to consider my suggestion. I have also left other suggestions so please check those out, it means a lot to me.
  3. I suggest adding the Alectrosaurus to ark Fjordur. For starters, ark does not have many large carnivores with a sleek outline like the Alectrosaurus. It used to run fast, so it would be a dangerous predator to run into. It was one of the most fast large carnivores, and lived in Asia. Its name means "Lone Lizard". Therefore, the Alectrosaurus should not spawn in packs, especially since when they saw each other, they typically fight. I think this would be a really cool feature, since no wild ark creatures fight their own kind. That's because most ark creatures are social, but this one isn't. Usually, the first thing that you think of when you think of an ark dinosaur is how it looks. This dinosaur looks so much different than your typical Rex or Carno. It is about the size of a carno, but is built completely different. Think about it, it would be a great marketing strategy to use something like this, that doesn't completely look like any other carnivores. As far as special abilities go, I think there are limitless opportunities with this. You could have an ability where every couple of minutes, it is able to make a noise, and then sharply increase its speed stat for a few seconds. This could be used to get away from something, or as a good strategy for battle. I hope you consider this option, and I also left a few more recommendations, so please check those out as well.
  4. Albertosaurus - I come from Alberta so I figured I would submit this to maybe get a creature dedicated to where I live in Ark. Design - First picture is of an Allosaurus but I thought that one could fit the design of the Albertosaurus. The 2nd one is an alternative design because I know that Fjordur has a lot of snow so I thought a furry design was good as well. Abilities - Passive - Intolerance - This creature has been perfect by the overseers for the ark's for thousands of years they have been developed with an unimaginable amount of endurance when on long trips. The longer the Albertosaurus is walking or sprinting the less amount of stamina it uses. Decrease amount of stamina used by 10% every 30 minute up to a maximum of 50% reduction to the amount of stamina used. 1 - Defensive Position - Activate with C to change your Albertosaurus’s stance to a defensive position exposing the side of the beast and taking 30% reduced damage when in this stance. 2 - Charge - Whenever you are holding your attack the Albertosaurus will start a charging stance running at the same speed as sprinting as well as taking 30% reduced damage if doing this in your defensive stance but reduces your stamina increasing more the longer you are charging. If not holding the Charge attack when in the Defensive stance it will do a smash attack hitting anything in it's way with the side of the creature. Any creatures that are in the way of the Albertosaurus will be delt significant damage and knockback due to the sheer force this beast inflicts upon others. After hitting a large object while charging the Albertosaurus has a 3 second fatigue where it flips over on it's back, gets up and roars then you will have a 5 second delay before it can charge again. ( This attack fatigue and delay was for balancing out the attack so that this attack could not be spammed during PvP raids. ) 3 - Jaw Lock - a) Whenever attacking a creature slightly smaller than itself or larger than ( A stegosaurus or larger ) it will bite onto the creature making it have the bleed effect and slightly shaking it doing more damage the longer it is held but using up more stamina the longer it is held. b) When attacking a smaller creature ( Trike sized to a Iguanodon ) it will lock in its jaw and drag the creature doing bled effect as well. c) If attacking a smaller creature than a iguanodon it grabs the creature up into its mouth shaking rapidly causing the bleed effect, the Albertosaurus will occasionally hit it with it's sharp hand claws inflict double the bleed damage for a short 3 second duration, if a creature of this small size is killed while being held instead of having a corpse it swallows the creature whole. d) If Jaw locked on a sauropod it will slash at the legs of the sauropod cause it to walk or run slower when being bitten onto. 4 - When using a Jaw Lock on a Creature Iguanodon sized or lower it will grab it in its mouth allowing it to be transported in its mouth without being killed Saddle Design - Crafting an Albertosaurus’s saddle can have 1 of 2 designs. The first design is a primitive saddle just like any other but it has a more expensive saddle. The more expensive metallic saddle requires materials such as obsidian, organic polymer and gunpowder. If you put grenades in the Albertosaurus’s inventory the saddle will be able to shoot out modified grenades with 20% more damage and instantly explode when hitting any form of object. Size - Slightly bigger than an Allosaurus in Ark : 42 feet long 20 feet tall Behavior - Would hunt alone or in packs of 2 - 3 each member of the pack gains a 30% buff to everything when the alpha does an alpha roar. Taming Method: The more creatures you kill around its vicinity will show the Albertosaurus that you could be a valuable ally gaining it’s respect. Although it will attack you if too close. Once you have killed enough creatures it will stay at a 99.9% taming and will keep it’s taming effectiveness until it challenges you to a battle. Don’t worry, attacking the creature won’t make it lose it’s taming effectiveness or percent, just don’t kill it. Once it reaches below 10% of its hp it will join your ranks as it will be yours. It may call off a battle requiring you to kill more creatures until you gain it’s interest again and it will challenge you. It will keep repeating this process until it is tamed.
  5. The European Scimitar Cat will be able to buff the rider when in the snow biomes. It will be able to heat them up and buff the hyperthermia protection on the armor. It is a carnivore and is knock out tame. When it is in the snow biome in a pack it can camouflage for a specific amount of time. It is able to breed. If left on wandering it collect small amounts of meat and resources over time and will only allow the survivor to collect them.
  6. La communauté le demande et l' attend tellement Sa fera du bien un nouveau rival au giga et rex et cela apporterais de la nouveauté
  7. Wild Labyrinthodont is a semi-aquatic carnivorous amphibian living on beaches near cliffs and can be also found in some caves with sufficient source of water. In Adulthood it can grow up to 8 meters. Its large body with worm-like skin that is incrusted with scales of a lizard and limbs adapted for swimming but also climbing on wet surfaces makes it perfect swimmer and climber. Adult Labyrinthodonts are highly aggressive and dangerous, while juveniles are mostly harmless. Juveniles only leave their nests when starving. Their digestive metabolism makes them last longer without food. Adults are apparently highly protective of their young, willing to abandon helpless prey if they hear them call (which can apparently be heard from some distance away). Domesticated Labyrinthodont makes a great amphibious mount. It grants a high protection to its rider. It posses a ability to move at increased speed using upward leaps/charges. With them it is also able to devour its prey within seconds. Adults are too stubborn to be tamed and care more about eating you than becoming friends with you. In contrary the younglings are more curious and are willing to be tamed. But caution must be taken when taming labyrinthodont because when adult labyrinthodont finds you interacting with his nestling it will rather kill its own child than to let you tame it. -I chose this creature because it fits the map just perfectly. There were some rumours about great long worms that were mistaken for amphibians. All this was taken from mythology so it makes sense :D. Also this creature was in Primeval and sadly it was changed for the film purpose but it seemed really cool and I think it would suit the Ark perfectly. -Abilities are easily set: left click: The labyrinthodont bites when looking forward or when looking backwards it turns to the target(that is behind) knocking any creatures in its proximity away while turning with its enermous body(tail swipe/body swipe) right click(when clicked): The labyrinthodont jumps forward with small bite that does not deal a great damage but makes the labyrinthodont jump further(in water it makes the labyrinthodont do a dash and moves it even further) right click(when held): The labyrinthodont stands up on its hind legs and charges a leap/charge attack that deals a great amount of damage but also when used on small creatures it can eat them instantly C button : roar that weakens nearby enemies ( when used underwater, ocean creatures up to size of plesiosaur will get scared and weakend) Saddle: Two seat saddle with smithy It would be amazing if this creature made it in Ark. Not only for me but for many people it would be a venerable memorial of Primeval. Please support this post and if you can add some ideas bellow.
  8. The Deltadromeus is a carnivore from the cretaceous period that is bigger than a raptor, but smaller than a Carno. The Deltadromeus is a fast sprinter that can catch up to prey reletivly quickly. With its long claws it is able to harvest berries from bushes as a last resort if no other food options are available. It is able to mix spoiled meat and narco berries, into narcotic that is created faster than in a motar and pestil . The Deltadromeus can be used not just as a quick method of getting narcotics from wherever you are, but as a taming creature as well. It is able to spit out the narcotics in different amounts of quantity able to knock out many larger creatures easily from a Carno to even a rex. The amount of torpor it does depends on the amount of narcotics available and the melee stat of the creature. Be careful when trying to tame one, because it will shoot a narcotic substance at you if you get too close. The method of taming it is straight forward, use narcotic projectiles. However because it can create narcotics from its own body it has a high torpor resistance similar to a giga and will drain very fast, but unlike a giga it has a lot less torpor than it. When the creature is low on heath it will release a narcotic gas that will both deal torpor to the surrounding creations and scare them away. This affect doesnt work on any crature larger or the same size as a rex. This creature is the ultimate taming/traveling creature on the island. MTc2NDU5NzE2NTE0MzU4NDg1.webp
  9. Timurlengia is a small tyrannosaurid about the size of deinonychus, 10 ft long. it was feathery like the yutyrannus, in ark fjordur it would be slower but tankier than the raptor with higher torpor it would probably not spawn in packs it would be rideable (preferably right off the bat) and a rider would be able to use weaponry. some cool ideas are if it could disarm enemy players in pvp or break their weapons, if it could pull a chariot or carriage or something like that(maybe that someone could build on), if its feathers warmed the person that tamed it when they were right next to it or riding it in the cold(fjordur is really cold), and if there was danger nearby, the Timurlengia could warn the survivor that tamed it(referencing the creatures great sense of sight hearing and smell). maybe the survivor could tame the Timurlengia normally or with its egg but i think it would be more interesting if it had a unique taming process like having to heat it up or helping it kill things or something. PS i added Timurlengia in the previous vote and it got like two votes so i hope it gets more this time. Here is a Timurlengia picture I got of the internet if it isn't satisfactory google "Timurlengia".
  10. (TLDR in first comment) The Pontolis Magnus is a carnivorous extinct genus of large walrus that lived between 11.608-5.332 million years ago. It is 33% larger than the largest elephant seals of today and preferred cold climates (hence making it a great choice for a cold map such as Fjordur). I would like to see this creature with (large) tusks (like the modern walrus) for the males. Features - diet: carnivorous - temperament: territorial - taming method: knock out, preferred kibble is exceptional - structure damage: stone and below - able to swim quickly but also able to travel on land with some speed - rideable: saddle unlocked at level 40 - keeps the rider warm in cold temperatures - thick skin allows them to not be shocked by jellyfish - thick skin reduces all damage taken by 20% (+ saddle reduction) - tusks are able to mine resources underwater with high efficiency (allowing the player to mine without dismounting the creature). It is notable for being able to harvest crystal, oil, organic polymer, meat and prime meat with one of the best efficiency out of any creature in the game. Whilst underwater, mining efficiency is increased by 25%. - underwater ally healing ability (like daeodon on land) but must be underwater - passively produces Walrus Oil ("A noxious oil secreted by the Pontolis.") - works same as narcotics. + 10 oil, 20 sparkpowder and 5 stimulants in a chemistry bench to create Burn Cream ("A special formulation that reduces burns when applied to skin") - reduces fire damage by 20% for a humans and creatures. The Burn Cream could be helpful when fighting against the amargasaurus (with its fire spikes) when it is released with Lost Island. - 25% reduction from fire damage due to the thick skin and anti-flammable substance on its skin - its thick skin also makes it unable to be frozen by the managarmr and the amargasaurus freezing spikes - pack (herd) bonus: increases damage done by 50% and reduces damage taken by 25% (same as allosaurus) - can incubate eggs in a small area like the dimetrodon Attack/controls - left click: standard bite - rightclick: tusk slash - inflicts bleed - C : Walrus sits (only when on land) which gives it 40% increased healing when consuming food - X: Courage roar (only available for pack leader which is automatically the strongest) but only available underwater
  11. wild the titanophoneus can be mistaken for a moschops from far away, but don't get to close or it will tear you in half with its razor-sharp teeth that almost complif you get it to low health it may get frightened and run away. it is quite fast and can easily outrun any low level player to murder them. these creatures are extremely territorial and will not hesitate to kill anyone or anything up to the size of a Rex that comes near. and if it doesn't kill you by itself, its bleed effect surely will. tamed/taming once you have fed this creature raw prime meat from behind without it spotting you, you have your very own base defence system, the titanophoneus can be set to turret-mode to mark its territory and kill anything on sight from the standard settings, and if over 4 of these creatures are in the same area on turret-mode they will start to attack each-other until there's only 1 left but thankfully there breeding time and hatch time is quicker than most dinosaurs equivalent to a dilo's. the titanophoneus has 3 attacks, the standard bite+swipe, its second attack is a maul where you mash the bite button once you've got a creature in your jaws to throttle it to death or inflict bleed and lastly the final attack will be an aoe tail smack that inflicts torpor. raiding well raiders you're in luck because the titanophoneus may not be able to mark territory around enemy structure but you can easily tear doors and windows apart with its razor-sharp teeth and be set away from enemy structures as some sort of trap for easy access inside a base.
  12. Sinotyrannus kazuoensis is a large proceratosaurid from North Eastern China specifically in the province of Liaoning there's really not a good amount of info on this creature as there is only one specimen but the specimen was found with some fossil material resembling a crest, while it is debated on whether this was actually part of the actual dinosaur or just rock I thought of some abilities for this creature. I think the sinotyrannus would fit pretty nicely in Fjordur as it is commonly depicted with feathers it might be suitable for the cold of the tundras. Sinotyrannus would be around the same size as a Yutyrannus in reality being around 10 meters long but of course we could do some fictionalizing here. Sinotyrannus would be around the size of the in-game Tyrannosaurus and Allosaurus, I think Sinotyrannus would be a Pseudo-apex Carnivore not As strong as say a T-Rex or Yutyrannus but can handle something like a Carnotaurus. In the wild it could be a neutral creature most if not all carnivores are agressive so it would be a nice change from the norm. Instead of hunting it would steal and run away with carcasses and kill low health creatures or maybe it could hunt creatures separated from their packs or herds. In terms of abilities it could be a pelt and keratin harvester as we don't have much of those using it's large claws to cut pelt and keratin from carcasses. I was also thinking that it could have a sort of thermal crest ability, it can have sort of a heat trapping system or a system where it slowly builds up heat in it's snout this can be either released giving warmth to you, your tribemates and tames aswell as being able to give warmth to fertilized eggs, or it can build even more heat in it's snout making it quite literally a hot head it can in turn use it's crest as a magma hot axe slicing into enemies with it's scorching hot crest, it can also use this hot head ability to heat wood almost instantaneously making it a mass charcoal harvester, harvesting charcoal trees with it however will not get you extra charcoal. And that's pretty much all I have for the creature leave your suggestions down below! 1st image by OticalPrime on reddit 2nd image by MatthewOnArt on Tumblr
  13. Hello Everyone! I've always thought that the Prestosuchus should be in ark because of the lack of good crocodilians in ark and so my hope was to create one that could not only rival but in certain situations outclass the rex. I feel like personally I had some pretty good ideas for bringing this magnificent killer into ark. I have borrowed some elements of inspiration from others games and creatures in ark. I hope your all able to enjoy this creature as much as i did making it. without further ado I give you... The PRESTOSUCHUS. Being more Mobile Than a rex and about as strong as one I feel that (if it were to be added) players would at least consider picking it over the rex due to its abilities and damage output in boss fight and PvP. Note: these are just suggestions the stats can and probably will be different Average Stats at lvl 1: Health= 3000 points Stam= 825 Food= 1500 Weight= 400 Damage= 62 Movement speed= 100 Size= 2.5x bigger than kaprosuchus Temperament: aggressive when you get too close lvl for saddle: 70 Taming Method: have to have taken enough damage to go into rage lv 2 and then from their it will be tamed by sacrificing anything the size of a raptor or smaller (raptor being the most effective). Unique mechanics: has a rage meter similar to giga where the more damage it takes the higher lvl its rage meter will be (up to lvl 3 rage). At lvl 0 its not taken any damage, at lvl 1 it needs to take at least 2.5% damage taken to enter lvl 1 and during lvl 1 they will deal 2.5% more damage, at lv 2 it needs to take 4.5% damage taken and will do 3.5% extra damage, at 6.5% of damage taken it will deal 5% extra damage and take 4% less damage. Its veins in its legs, tail and around its eyes with glow red and possibly pulse when in rage lvl 3. The rarity of its Saddle (Primitive to Ascendant) will lower the damage threshold for its rage lvls. the Saddle can also fit 2 people, one to ride and another to shoot of the back of. Attacks and abilities at lvl 1: Left click = bite, deals 62 damage and applies a bleed status to target. Right click = claw slash, deals 58 damage put deals more depending on if the target is bleeding (up to 5% more). C= roar, buffs any nearby Prestosuchus, Kaprosuchus and Spinosaurus on the same team with the same effect to the Yutyrannus but slightly weaker. X= High Pressure Water Blast, deals 58 damage and can stun for 3.5 seconds to allow some ranged options for this creature (the damage does change when leveling melee damage btw and the length of the attack depends on how much water the Prestsuchus has stored in its water bar). Attacks underwater: Left Click= bite (equivalent to land bite). Right Click= claw slash (equivalent to land slash). C= Forward Dash, similar to the Kaprosuchus dash but only underwater and can be used to grab foes and bring them on land. X= Blast Dash, can jet forward underwater (and from water to land) to engage a fight or escape from one. PS: sorry for the poor quality as I did not have access to photoshop and was made quite a while ago for fun. if the dossiers to small i will provide a section on the information on the dossier now. Wild One of the more powerful creature on this ARK, Prestosuchus is highly carnivorous and Highly aggressive. It is suggested that you keep your distance at all times. it seems to be some sort of rival to the T.Rex, Often going out of its way to purposely attack and kill them. As if it wasn't bad enough on its own, they it has also been documented that the travel in groups of 2-3 members, the species as a whole being around 2.5-3x the size of the closest relative the kaprosuchus. Domesticated Prestosuchus seem to prefer being in groups of 2-3 and seem to fight better when together, similar to a pack of dire wolves, not only that but they seem to be able to go into a sort of enraged state in which their veins will grow and pulse with their blood in the legs, tail and around their eyes. during this enraged state they only think about one thing... Taking down their prey, as a result they will not stop until either their target is killed or themselves. this has lead to them being able to take down brontosaurs. This combined with their ability to encourage kapros, spinos and other prestosuchus has lead to them being great battle mounts for tribes across the ARKS that they inhabit. And with that my idea for the Prestosuchus is finished i hope you enjoyed reading this as much as i did making it and we will see it if makes it into the creature vote (hopefully it does). see you all and have a most wonderful day.
  14. Tasmanian Tiger / Thylacine The thylacine was relatively shy and nocturnal, with the general appearance of a medium-to-large-size canid, except for its stiff tail and abdominal pouch similar to that of a kangaro. The thylacine was one of only two marsupials known to have a pouch in both sexes: the other (still extant) species is the water opossum from Central and South America. The pouch of the male thylacine served as a protective sheath, covering the external reproductive organs. The thylacine most likely preferred the dry eucalyptus forests, wetlands, and grasslands of mainland Australia. Indigenous Australian rock paintings indicate that the thylacine lived throughout mainland Australia and New Guinea. Proof of the animal's existence in mainland Australia came from a desiccated carcass that was discovered in a cave in the Nullarbor Plain in Western Australia in 1990; carbon dating revealed it to be around 3,300 years old. Recently examined fossilised footprints also suggest historical distribution of the species on Kangaroo Island. In Tasmania it preferred the woodlands of the midlands and coastal heath, which eventually became the primary focus of British settlers seeking grazing land for their livestock. The striped pattern may have provided camouflage in woodland conditions, but it may have also served for identification purposes. The animal had a typical home range of between 40 and 80 km2 (15 and 31 sq mi). It appears to have kept to its home range without being territorial; groups too large to be a family unit were sometimes observed together. Little is known about the behaviour of the thylacine. A few observations were made of the animal in captivity, but only limited, anecdotal evidence exists of the animal's behaviour in the wild. Most observations were made during the day, whereas the thylacine was naturally nocturnal. Those observations, made in the twentieth century, may have been atypical, as they were of a species already under the stresses that would soon lead to its extinction. Some behavioural characteristics have been extrapolated from the behaviour of its close relative, the Tasmanian devil. The thylacine was a nocturnal and crepuscular hunter, spending the daylight hours in small caves or hollow tree trunks in a nest of twigs, bark, or fern fronds. It tended to retreat to the hills and forest for shelter during the day. and hunted in the open heath at night. Early observers noted that the animal was typically shy and secretive, with awareness of the presence of humans and generallyavoiding contact, though it occasionally showed inquisitive traits. At the time, much stigma existed in regard to its "fierce" nature. (IN GAME) pack animal. with a pack buff. should be used to carry a lot of recourses. weight reduction on recourses, pack roar buff. Hunting animal. should be able to seak (smell and see) small to medium animals that it can hunt down and kill. or just track certain animals. that you can choose by going to behavior and choose. any small to medium animal it should track (sniff) and lead you to it. eiher to kill. or just to track for you to trap and tame the animal

I think it would be awesome to incorporate more mythological creatures into the game. I know a lot of people won't agree with me on this subject, but with this being a norse map I think it would be a great addition to the map. I do think it should be a mount, and in my opinion can be a serious threat to its opposition.
  16. wild the scalisasaurs is a beast that will likely be encountered in the snow, it's armor proves more than enough against the creatures it comes up against, it's crocodilian jaws trapping any prey, while the prey will die of suffocation or blood loss. it's jaws also open at around 120 degrees, causing it to win hunts against 2x or larger opponents. it is also seen to switch from the speedy quadrupedal stance, to it's maneuverable bipedal stance tamed many tribes use this beast for it's ability to fend off larger creatures, alongside the natural amor it possess moaking it the best creature to raid with in my opinion, it's legs adapted to the snow allows for speeds only raptors can match although it's swimming speed are less than ideal. -dossier what i aimed to create was a semi-real semi-fantastical creature, it's many spikes and protrusions allow for a ruggedness not found anywhere else, it's also a dino supposed to fill the niche created all too similar in IRL cretaceous, where it's either the largest or the smallest wins, two polar opposites, so I think that making a creature smaller than a rex with sizes similar to an allo will allow it to fill that place where it is no push over yet there is still better options, it also makes use of a role not many in the game possess, the ability to go against bigger creatures, allowing for it to make a nice balance of mobility and firepower, it's saddle will be hard to craft however, that's why it is not mentioned in the dossier, it requires polymer, a whole truck load of polymer to make the saddle, that is one downside to having armor, no way to have a saddle that is at all secure, so needing to mount it on the spikes, the saddle is semi-suspended above the creature's back using supports, so yeah, it also has ice spikes on it's legs and tail that are color regions.
  17. When I first saw one of these in the wild I didn't understand why it seemed to walk with more pride then a Yutyranus, it looked like a bargain sale dire wolf as it was a similar size but seemed to lack the complex pack hunting strategies they employ and was scaly despite its mammal like stature. At night however I was surprised it was them I saw hunting the Brontosaurus and not a Tyrannosaurus, the giant sauropod yelling in distress as I watched it collapse with relatively few wounds on it. When I woke up the next day I couldn't believe what I had seen and even went back to the sight of the hunt only to find the dead body of the brontosaurus with the pack of carnivores around it. Once I was back at the village I asked our local expert on wildlife about the mysterious pack hunters. He called them Euchambersia, an extinct species of mammal like reptiles, and according to him the reason the brontosaurus didn't have many wounds was because these pack hunters have a highly venomous bite, letting them take on even the largest of creatures in packs. However the venom needs time to act, opening a window where you could treat the creature with an antidote or nurture it until it recovers. Of course as the hunter of our village a pack of these Euchambersia would be of great use to me as they wouldn't need as much food as a large apex carnivore but could take on just as big of a prey item with arguably more ease. However taming proved far more difficult as they seem to be immune to torpor inducing toxins and are to resilient to knock out from boomerangs or other blunt objects. they are also far to aggressive to passive tame at night and in the day time they are still extremely aggressive to anything getting into its comfort zone. Only when i stumbled upon a nest of Euchambersia did I come to realize that I would need to raise them up from hatchling to adult for them to be tame, making it one of the most dangerous tames to acquire as Euchambersia are highly protective of their eggs. As if it wasn't hard enough though Euchambersia lay their eggs in caves, meaning chances are they will see you before you see them and due to their venom most mounts that can fit in these caves will be quickly overwhelmed by a pair or, if your unlucky, multiple pairs nesting close to each other. I still find it amazing that I managed to get two eggs out of the cave. Luckily for me though from there on it was the usual baby raising. The tamed Euchambersias were a blessing, being swift and small enough to avoid our prey's attention while being able to kill it in only a few well timed bites, at night being even more efficient due to their superior eyesight in the dark, and when the raid happened they were just as effective as assassins, even crippling their giga.. If only I'd seen the bear traps ahead of time.. I miss them both, they might not have been fluffy but they were the best boys anyone could have hopped for. tldr: Size & stats: dire wolf but with weaker stats save for speed, stamina and turn radius Ability: venom bite effect, is drained by one bite and needs long recharge, deals damage over time twice as fast as the recharge, effect goes through armor and does 200 base damage. second ability: night vision on toggle for rider.
  18. Phiomecetus is a aggressive, carnivorous whale with large mandibles and legs. Named after anubis, the God of Death for its jaws, its bite could cause a broken bone effect. One of its attack could also carry something similar to a megalosaurus. But don't forget it's still a whale, so it could have an echolocation-like ability to scan akin to a parasaur, except with constant feedback. This would be in exchange for sight limitations. It would also move significantly faster in water, and have a water to land boost. To tame, you would feed animal carcasses (Fish don't count). The larger the animal, the more its bar rises. After fed one carcass, it will stay passive for a time, allowing you to bring more carcasses, before it returns to being aggressive. This creature was re-discovered 2-3 months ago, and seemed like it would fit in ever since I saw an article on it. It would act as a sea cave as well as just normal cave mount. .
  19. My submission would be Megaraptor, which despite the name is not a dromaeosaur like the Utahraptor and Deinonychus but is instead a.... well that's up for debate really. Essentially, it is a medium sized, slim theropod that specialized neither in a killing bite or kick, but in having massive clawed arms that it used to grab and slash its prey. Common name: Megaraptor Species: Megaraptor pugnator Time period: Late Cretaceous Temperment: Aggressive Diet: Carnivore General gameplay concept: The main draw of Megaraptor would be its interaction with the dermis items of ARK and its ability to use them to gain passive buffs against specific creatures. It will be able to harvest them from slain dinosaurs in a similar fashion to the Taxidermy Tool. Megaraptor have a special "dermis slot" in it's inventory, ala the costume slot, and once you have a dermis putting it in this slot will passively (or perhaps actively for a limited time after a roar) "specialize" the Megaraptor in hunting and killing this specific creature. This will give the Megaraptor increased attack damage and damage resistance (exact values are up to balancing, but perhaps something in the realm of 40% extra damage and 30% damage resistance) when in the presence of this target species, but only when attacking or being attacked by this target creature. Anything else will receive and deal out normal damage when fighting the Megraptor. Additionally, perhaps this buff can give out a passive speed boost when in a certain radius of a targeted species, say a survivor can equip a Parasaur dermis to give the Megaraptor an edge will travelling but leave it vulnerable to ambushes by creatures the Megaraptor would otherwise be better benefited by being specialized against. Basically, think something similar to the Triceratops' "rivalry" feature with large carnivores, but instead of it being a general stat buff this will only apply to interactions between the Megaraptor and whatever it is specialized in. For example, if a Megaraptor with a T. rex dermis equipped will be buffed against a T. rex, but said buff will not effect the Megaraptor's attacks or defenses against any other species. Potentially, give this mechanic even more focus the Megaraptor could receive more and dish out less damage when fighting something it isn't specialized to kill, it really depends on how powerful the buff is to make this a reasonable downside. Perhaps to further function as a combat focused mount, Megaraptor can pierce certain defenses like the Doedicurus' rolled up state. Additionally, using its long arms Megaraptor can swat away (in concept anyways, in terms of gameplay it'll just be passive ALA Stego) bolas, Archaeopteryx, and various flyers to prevent them from dismounting its rider. Taming Ideas and Wild behavior: Megaraptor in the wild are aggressive loners, relatively rare compared to other dinosaurs. They prefer similar climates to creatures like the Allosaurs, and don't frequently venture near the beaches survivors spawn at. Instead, these are mainland animals typically found in redwoods, tundra, dunes, and mountains. Megaraptor are unusually aggressive towards smaller carnivores, and will go out of their way to kill Dilophosaurs, Utahraptors, Troodons, and the like. They particular hate Alpha Raptors, and it is through this hatred that they can be tamed. In a similar fashion to the Voidwyrm and Reaper Queen, a Megaraptor must be fought to be tamed (only when a survivor reaches an arbitrary but high level, ala some other passive tames). Upon reaching a certain damage threshold (percentage based on its current health), the Megaraptor will enter a dazed state for a limited period of time. When this happens, a survivor can approach the creature a feed it an Alpha Raptor's claw, filling up the taming meter and refilling enough health to repeat the process. Unlike most creatures, Megaraptor shouldn't lose taming effectiveness from being damaged given the method of taming it and the relative rarity of its taming food. Stats, Attacks, and Misc. Size: Medium-large, perhaps similar to the Allosaurus Speed: Quick, again similar to the Allosaurus Health: Somewhere in the realm of 500, not particularly a tank but not super low either Primary, LMB attack: A simple bite and slash, nothing special Secondary, RMB attack: A two part attack consisting with an upwards leaping slash, followed by a second slash on the way down. If this second slash hits a flying creature, said creature will be grounded from the impact. Perhaps if the Megaraptor lands both slashes, it will receive a short attack speed buff for its LMB attack. Get some combo gameplay going on. Tertiary, C attack: A roar to like nice and scary. Alternatively, if the "specialization" mechanic were to be something the play has to activate manually, this will be said activation Other passives: Prevents dismount, can jump short distances, gathers mainly hide and pelt Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaraptor TLDR: Carnivorous dinosaur similar in stats to Allo that can equip dermis to deal extra and take less damage from whatever species that dermis is from. Tamed passively with Alpha Raptor Claws at high levels. Skeletal reconstruction Fossilized hand, notice how the largest claw is missing its tip and would be even larger. That's not even counting how keratin could make each claw even longer
  20. Name: Simbakubwa-kutokaafrika Time: early Myocene Diet: Carnivore Bigger Than a polar bear and a bite force of aproxymatly 2800psi a modern Tiger has a bite force of about 1000 psi and a weight estimate of 1800kg and height at the shoulder of about 1,60 cm this thing was probably bigger than a polarbear Tamed by throwing the dead body of animals in its path It can crush smaler animals in its jaw and it can bite it self in the neck of bigger animals like mamoths and other bigger animals while being on the neck of the animals it deals bleeding damage and after that it gives you a buff for 20 secong. While buffed you deal more damage and have more resistance In the wild they are territorial and sometimes males fight other males for more territory https://www.reddit.com/r/Naturewasmetal/comments/jlu8u2/simbakubwa_kutokaafrika/
  21. Description: This Ferocious Apex Predator lived around the late Jurassic and early Cretaceous. They were a part of an extinct genus of Crocodylamorph and were within the family of Mitriorhynchidae. It spent most if not all of its time out at sea but was thought to have come inland to lay their eggs in rivers or gulfs. Dakosaurus Andiniensis was about 5 meters (16.5 feet) and weighed between 1000 and 2000 pounds. They were most likely not too fast of swimmers though, but were fast enough to catch up to it's prey. The Bite force of this creature was very strong, with its snout being more blunt simular to a therapod enabling it to latch onto prey and tear holes in the sides of its victims. Due to how much wear on the teeth that have been analyzed by scientists, it was most likely that Dakosaurus Andiniensis went after prey bigger than itself. Wild: This creature would prowl the shallow waters but sometimes be found in deeper waters (with them being pretty rare to find in both areas). They would mostly prey on Basilosaurus and Megalodons, they would even go as far as to challenge a Mosasaurus but would stay far away from the feared Tusoteuthis. There attacks would consist of a bleed slow down bite and a "Frenzy Attack" that would happen only when attacking Manta-rays. Along with a lunge when they get close to you, so be careful when driving your boats, they could jump up and bite you! Taming: To get one of these creatures you will first have to tame an Angler Fish, using the Angler Fish's light you would lure the Dakosaurus to you then go behind it and passively feed biotoxin or just regular narcotics along with prime fish meat or normal fish meat. Doing this makes the Dakosaurus go into a groggy state in which even if it gets hit a couple of times it will not move. This slow but strong medium sized creature would then be your very own. (This creature would also be an egg layer, being hatched on land and then put into water when matured) Domesticated: Once Tamed or hatched, it can be rode with a saddle. They would have 3 abilities, first being the brute force bite, caused by the Lateromedial Serrated Teeth tearing chunks of flesh off making the prey slow and bleed. The second being the normal bite which would be powerful by itself. The third being a lunge ability that would give a speed boost allowing you to jump out of water. The extra quirk would be the "Frenzy mode", similar to the Megatherium when fighting bugs, when fighting Manta rays the Dakosaurus would get a health, damage, and speed buff. Make sure to give feedback such as the Dakosaurus' size, stats, egg hatch time, taming changes, etc. I'll respond to any questions you have too.
  22. The Majungosaurus is a genus of abelisauridae that lived from 70 to 60 million years ago in Madagascar, going extinct in the late Cretaceous. They measured around 6-7 meters with the largest specimen being 8 meters long (26.2 feet) standing at about 11 feet. The skull of the Majungosaurus was remarkably larger than other abelisaurs with a small horn protruding from the frontal bones on the top of the skull (with the males probably being brightly colored). They bore more teeth than any other abelisaur other than the Rugops. Majungosaurus is one of the only dinos where there is direct evidence of cannibalism. They also had many features for weight reduction (sounds weird I know) resulting in the weight of about 1,700-2,400 pounds. Wild: The Majungosaurus would sit deep in the forest of Fjordur waiting for it's prey to come by. They stay in a crouched stance and when provoked will lunge out in a sprinting speed towards their target. Domesticated: When tamed, the Majungosaurus has 4 attacks/abilities, one being the standard bite. Second and Third being a lay down and stealth crouch stance, the Majungosaurus would be undetectable by parasaurs in both of these stances and would be able to use the ambush attack when sprinting in crouch mode. The Fourth ability would be an emp. This emp would come from the horn, only be accessible in the males and would last for 20 seconds, disabling all electrical equipment. The recharge time could be around 30 seconds. Make sure to comment any questions or suggestions you have such as stats, etc.
  23. The Metriacanthosaurus will have a strong bite attack that can slow creatures for 5 seconds with a 15 second cooldown, it will have a normal claw or bite attack and it will have a triple attack with two slightly weaker claw attacks that deal damage quickly and a small charge up to a third bite attack that will deal large amounts of damage. It can fake sleep at times before moving it's tail all the way to a certain position and actually falling asleep in the wild, and you can tell if it's sleeping if it's tail is in a certain position. It gets up very fast while asleep and can use it's slowing attack to quickly get a hold of you and take you out quickly. it is bigger than a Baryonyx but smaller than a rex or Spinosaurus, similar to an Allo. This creature is extremely aggressive and fast if you get close and will hunt you down. It can also use a smelling animation to slowly walk towards dead bodies in the area. It is usually alone or in a pair. Another unique thing about this creature is it can crouch. the crouching can make it harder to see and help it dodge but make it move much slower. if it is crouching it can also hide itself from turrets for longer (shortens their range to it). I think what separates it from an Allo is it's dps mainly. Allos deal high damage specifically through their percent health damage with their bleed however this creature does straight up damage. Allos are also in packs and the Metriacanthasaurus is not. if it waits 5 second in between attacks it can get an extra strong attack and create a "weak spot" where it will make a random spot that creatures can take more damage in from things like spears or bows or guns. I think this creature would fit very well into the meta, it will be a powerful creature capable of taking on some really strong creatures when it's tamed, it has the utility of it's slow that can help it do even higher dps while making it easy to hit creatures and other creatures do get easy hits off. Also the vulnerability will help single out creatures if you have players around sniping the creature you're fighting. It will also be a very nice creature to travel around with, it can take out most creatures but even if it can't it can slow them then run away with it's fast speed, it should have decent stamina and health, the crouching can help if you run into turrets at an enemy base and it will just be a super cool and useful creature in general. I think it would be a near late-game tame to mid-game tame. As for a taming method I think something to do with dragging dead bodies to it while it's sleeping could be a pretty cool idea. it would be similar to the Shadowmane however I think it would be nice if level did not matter for the body you are dragging, normal creatures do not have size and therefore any creature would be decent. For taming effectiveness I think any creature wouldn't mess up it's effectiveness but I think depending on the creature they would give different percent based on strength and size. Feeding a tamed creature that you killed would be a super easy way to tame it. I also made a dossier for this but the website won't let me use it because it's too big.
  24. This Lizard/Staurikosaurus is a special creature to ark he will eat bugs and smaller creatures then itself. The Staurikosaurus will attack you if it is approached and then run off, when fully grown this lizard will be as tall as your hip and as long as your entire body length. To tame this creature you will need to kill bugs or small creatures. e.g. compy/troodon/dodo and place them next to the Staurikosaurus without it noticing, you will need to where a ghillie suit to get close to it. When taming you do not need to put the bugs or small creatures into its mouth only leave it nearby to find. this Dino will be an amazing pet to have for company and will get a 2x buff when killing bugs or small creatures.
  25. Dinofelis was a genus of extinct big cats that hunted in a wide range of wooded and plains environments from the early Pliocene to the early Pleistocene, they are known for hunting early primates such as dinopithecus and australopithecus, fossils of which have been found with evenly spaced puncture marks at the base of their skull that were attributed to dinofelis. Dossier: Wild Dinofelis is a large, stealthy panther that hides in the many jungles around the island, while it will attack any smaller prey from time to time, it is feared by hunters as its diet consists of mainly primates, more specifically, humans. Dinofelis prefers to wait in heavily wooded areas where it is most difficult to be detected, it is also incredibly adept at stealth, meaning any unfortunate souls caught by this beast will likely be dead before they ever realize what's happening, seasoned hunters take note of dinofelis hunting grounds, and stay as far away from them as possible. Domesticated Getting a dinofelis to take orders from its food is a difficult task, but those that have done it have access to one of the islands most skilled hunting partners, their slow, methodic way of moving makes them nearly undetectable to unknowing victims, and it is known for killing with a single strike if it is able to pounce on something before it has time to struggle. Abilities: Stealth Master: Dinofelis gets a natural reduction to aggro range when it is not running, making it harder to detect, it can also go into sneak mode which reduces aggro range even further, sneak mode also allows you to perform a secondary pounce attack. Pounce: When in sneak mode, dinofelis can perform a pounce attack on a dino that is not aggrod or fleeing, if the dino is small enough, it will pin it like a thyla, dealing damage and preventing escape. If the creature is too large or will die in a single strike, instead of a pounce it will perform a slash attack for massively increased damage. Primate Killer. Dinofelis deals double damage against any and all primates, the list of primates includes: Humans, Mesopithecus, Gigantopithecus, Dinopithecus and Megapithecus
