  1. Honestly we don't know what ASA will bring. With a different engine, water management might just become more complex. Especially if we show interest for things like that. So for instance, if we make it known that we want a creature with hydro power, that might lead to the implementation of some mechanics. Solar power is also sorely missing, I agree. In general, I feel like this would perfectly fill a technological gap that exists at the stone age, where you have a more solid base but not quite the industrial equipment yet.
  2. I like the idea of having to keep it happy. A lot of times, ASE makes feel tames more disposable than I'd want.
  3. It's absolutely huge ! Wouldn't want to meet it in a dark alley (mostly because it wouldn't fit in there ).
  4. Thank you so much ! I aimed to create Ark's first... basket case 😅
  5. A generator you can take anywhere ? There's lots of uses for that imho I tried to outline a few in my presentation. A creature is easier to protect than a static generator : you can move it during a raid, put it on aggressive/neutral so that it dispatches threats, etc. It's also interesting if you want nomadic gameplay, for example in PvE. You're not bound to a static base, and "all" it takes is having access to water for it to run. I'm of the mindset, in general, that anything worth doing in Ark should be doable with a dino. It's more fun to have a creature than to have a generator that's buzzing all day ! \o/
  6. Tracking is a popular ability, I hope WildCard hear our calls
  7. ...And that's an upvote XD My God, it looks crazy, I love it !
  8. Currently the Aquilarhinus is the 14th most voted creature ! We're not quite there yet, but we could be ? Hopefully more people see it and like it Thanks for the upvotes so far, everyone !
  9. So it's like an advanced Pachyrhino, in a way ? Pretty fun. And I like that it's not a big destroyer. I'm a fan of herbivores myself (like the Aquilarhinus that I submitted), I think we need more of those. How big is it compared to an average survivor ?
  10. Or it could breath oxygen into any target. Say, your tribemate is swimming next to you, but forgot their scuba gear. Detecting that oxygen is getting low, Zalophus can give some oxygen to your tribemate, just enough to go back to the surface without drowning. Like, a half-bar or something.
  11. True. It's just that with several hundreds of creatures in the game (and counting), at some point a line has to be drawn.
  12. You're right that the Coel example made it sound really crappy. When in actuality, it could be a reduced list of tames that could be rolled. Like, all creatures that can do bossfights, for starters.
  13. Or upload it externally, and add the link manually :
  14. Or it could be in a certain range. Which actually, depending on how ASA works, might also be technically preferable. In ASE singleplayer for instance (I know, I know, we don't talk about SP, but a lot of people play it nonetheless), I know a lot of tracking mods have issues detecting wild creatures out of range. Another option would be to specialize each Dollacaris. So for instance, it spawns like Gacha, with a selection of creatures it can spot. AND JUST THOSE. So if you find a Dollacaris that can spot Gigas, cool. If you find a Dollacaris that can spot Coels, tough sh*t, breed it and better luck next time.
  15. It's because of the big eyes on your concept art that I thought that I'm not fully sure how it could work. Tying it directly to tek might be a problem, but also you do need a screen of some sort to watch what it's filming. Maybe the female films like a camera and the male works as a projector ? Something along those lines ? To be honest I'm also not sure a camera is much needed. I don't see a lot of people using the tek one in PvP (do they ?), and in PvE I'm not fully sure I need a camera badly. To monitor expensive drops like the red crates in the Ragnarok desert ? Or...? No, honestly I don't know. But then again, a lot of creatures fill a need I didn't know I had ; like the Desmodus.
