I asked them about it in the live stream and they said they are putting sotf on the backburner until they finish all the maps and complete the game.

New game mode (let's make Ark great again )

Kinda sounds like what the orginal SOTF was before Wildcard turned it into a Fortnite knockoff -
Request for Hardcore Server on ASA - Hardcore Community would greatly appreciate

I think adding a brutal hardcore mode to the official servers, similar to what Ark Mobile did, would be an exciting addition to ASA. It would kind of bring back the nostalgic grindy survival vibes of playing ARK in 2016.

Ark: Survival Ascended - Optimized for PlayStation VR2
Retrowarrior posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
Integrating VR support for Ark: Survival Ascended on PlayStation VR2 would significantly elevate the game's immersive survival experience. The stunning visuals and immersive environment viewed through the headset would provide a captivating gameplay experience. Moreover, the lack of competition in the VR survival game market would give Ark a unique edge and position it as a leading title in the VR gaming space. -
Please visually upgrade most of the Dino models on the Island
Retrowarrior posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
These models have remained the same since 2016 and seem outdated when compared to recently introduced creatures such as Rhyniognatha, Carcharodontosaurus, and Amargasuarus. I think it would be a highly welcomed surprise, especially with the launch of the center map. -

TLC 4: Brontosaurus, Carnotaurus, Giganotosaurus, Diplodocus, and more!
Retrowarrior replied to MalarOpossum867's Suggestion in Game Suggestions
I hope they listen to this suggestion -
On most official PvP servers I've played on, it seems like everyone ends up catching swamp fever and it's mainly the beach bobs who suffer from it, even though they rarely venture into swamps or caves where the illness originates. This makes basic tasks much more difficult, especially early in the game when health and carrying capacity are reduced. I believe a better approach would be to have swamp fever last for a shorter duration, perhaps 2 or 3 hours, so it's noticeable but not overly burdensome. Alternatively, making the ingredients for the cure more accessible to new players—like requiring only 20 spark powder, 2 medical brews, and 20 narcotics it would still make obtaining the cure challenging but achievable in the early stages of the game

Could you please consider visually updating the old dinosaur models such as the Brontosaurus, Diplodocus, Quetzal, Mosasaur, Megalodon, and the Araneo? These models have remained unchanged since 2016 and appear outdated when compared to recently added creatures like the Rhyniognatha, Carcharodontosaurus, and the Amargasuarus. I believe it would be a greatly appreciated surprise, especially alongside the release of the center map.

Please return the original Survival of the Fittest
Retrowarrior posted a suggestion in Game Suggestions
Please return the original Survival of the Fittest (SOTF) mode; the current matchmaking system is extremely frustrating. Instead of smoothly entering a game queue and being placed in a server with the most players, as is typical in most battle royale games, players are forced to sift through numerous empty servers in search of one with a decent population. Even when joining a seemingly populated server, it often turns out that the match has already begun. Furthermore, the initial moments of the game lack excitement compared to the original SOTF experience. While the Quetzal battle bus is an intriguing addition, the original method of dropping all players from the sky onto a large platform allowed for more diverse strategies, reminiscent of the Hunger Games. Moreover, the current iteration of SOTF lacks key features such as crafting, real taming mechanics, and custom events. These custom events, like the carnivore drop and beast within, added significant variety and excitement to matches. Additionally, PvP gameplay suffers in the new SOTF due to the necessity of taming numerous dinosaurs to succeed, limiting diversity in play styles such as guns-only strategies. The HUD design also leaves much to be desired, resembling that of a mobile game. While it's understood that efforts are being made to rejuvenate the game, it would be more beneficial to revert to the original SOTF and refine it rather than attempting a complete overhaul. Suggestions for improvement include reverting to the original version, increasing player weight, simplifying crafting requirements, removing the hunger and thirst bar mechanics, reintroducing the RTS mode allowing players to control dinos upon death, and addressing performance issues from the original version. For a clearer understanding of these suggestions, I encourage reviewing footage of the old SOTF on platforms like YouTube. -
