  1. Hi everyone! I'm the creator of concepts for various creatures, and one of these creatures is Ornimegalonyx. It pleases me that people take ideas for such creatures from their modern counterparts. My Orni and Shockal`s have a lot in common. And, so I would like to share my concept: ACTIVE ABILITIES First - Bite or Paw Strike (LMB) Second - Secretion (RMB) It allows you to be less noticeable to aggressive creatures or turrets by consuming food or stamina and also reduces the detection range by creature detectors by 30%. Third - "Head Rotation" (C Key) When this mode is activated, the creature cannot move, but the player can rotate the creature's head, and a crosshair will appear in the screen center, which provides you with several additional functions. If you rotate the mouse wheel, the owl can zoom in or out of the camera by reducing or enlarging the pupils of its eyes. If you aim at creatures, it will display their levels, and upon activating a key, Orni can see their stats, similar to HLN-A. A specific animation is played where Ornimegalonyx, like the leveled-up Snow Owl, makes circular head movements. Also, when aiming and activating another key, Orni dives at the creature or character and clings to them like a Deinonychus, holding with one paw while attacking the other, causing a bleeding debuff. Additionally, if Orni dives at a player, it can remove their shoulder-mounted creature, after which it can consume it (wild individuals can also do this). And a new espionage ability, when Orni aims, sounds and speech automatically become louder for Ornimegalonyx and its rider. This ability is based on the fact that owl heads have a disc-shaped structure that helps them capture sounds of different frequencies. Fourth - the famous owl's "Uh-huh or Hoo" or night vision. (Left Ctrl) The owl makes a "Hoo" sound when unable to activate night vision during the day. PASSIVE ABILITIES First - Ornimegalonyx doesn't make any sounds while moving, which makes it completely silent. Second - the creature, like Tapejara, can cling to any surface, similar to cliffs or large trees, but it cannot move on them like Megalania or Thylacoleo. Third - Orni drops owl pellets. Fourth - Orni has a saddle with a built-in GPS navigator, compass, and map. Additionally, while riding the creature, pressing the P key will place markers on the Ornimegalonyx's map that are unique to this creature only. Moreover, in the creature's menu, there is an option to "Go to selected point/marker." When activated, Ornimegalonyx will fly to the designated location, similar to a "Delivery Crate." TAMING The taming method is the same. You need to feed Ornimegalonyx with shoulder creatures, and the taming effectiveness varies depending on the type of shoulder creature you feed the owl. List of all shoulder creatures: Aberrant Dimorphodon, Aberrant Otter, Bulbdog, Compy, Dimorphodon, Featherlight, Ferox, Glowtail, Hesperornis, Ichthyornis, Jerboa, Mesopithecus, Microraptor, Noglin, Otter, Pegomastax, Shinehorn, Sinomacrops, Vulture, X-Otter. Message for Shockal. If you want, you can use some of these abilities and ideas for your concept. This creature concept was created by me even before the release announcement of the ASA and was intended for the Island map and redwood biome, where the creature could inhabit. Also, my Orni can fly. I added this ability because a flightless Orni resembles the second "Terror bird" for me, but that's not the main reason. The main reason is that I wanted to add more flying birds to the game, and Ornimegalonyx would be one of them, along with Argentavis and Pelagornis. For people who dk, Snow Owl is a fictional creature, while Ornimegalonyx is a real extinct owl, and I want to see a real owl in the game. Unfortunately, in voting for the Aberration map, I cannot implement the concept as I imagined it, with the ability to fly for the creature. But if the creature doesn't win in this voting, I would suggest making it a combination of a "good flier" and a "ground runner" instead of arguing with people about which concept is better for Ornimegalonyx. In any case, I'm glad that people like this creature and that they really want to see it in the game. So, I have a few questions for Shockal. Do you plan to publish the concept of this creature on other maps if it doesn't win here, and will this concept be changed? Will it include flying abilities? Thank you for reading this message and responding to it!
  2. I am so glad to see this creature in the vote because Koolasuchus should have been added to the game by the devs from the beginning. I really hope it wins or gets second or third place in the creature rankings. People want to see this creature in the game, so we should add this famous prehistoric amphibian. Let's go, Koola, we believe in you !!! ❤️❤️❤️ You will become the best addition to Diplocaulus and Beelzebufo (ARK`s toad) !!! 😎
  3. Please take a look at my concept and share your opinion about it. I made it for another creature, but you can use it as an alternative concept for Gorgonops. A DISEASED CREATURE WITH NEW TRACKING AND FINISHING ABILITIES - INOSTRANCEVIA (GORGONOPS) Hello Survivor I want to introduce you to the concept of the creature Inostrancevia or Ino, a medium-sized predator in ARK with new abilities for the Aberration map. Some of these mechanics were already presented in the concept for the Lost Island map. Idk who the original creator is. I slightly modified these mechanics, although the overall conception remained the same. Inostrancevia is an extinct creature from the Gorgonopsian clade, similar in appearance to the Gorgonops, which players have already presented in other creatures' votings before. Also, I used some mechanics of the Gorgonops provided by the user "Scanova" and others, such as creature tracking, and modified them according to my vision. Inostrancevia tracks creatures and players not by scent but by the bloody trails left by injured units. DOSSIER Species: Inostrancevia morbificae Time: Late Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive or neutral-territorial Wild Inostrancevia morbificae can be considered one of the best hunters in the Ark, as they are skilled at tracking and killing their prey, dividing hunting grounds among themselves. These creatures prove their advantage through hunting, and only the most skillful hunter becomes the leader among other individuals of the same species. If the beast attacks you, it inflicts deep wounds with its sharp claws, and the bacteria in its jaws cause a severe illness. However, in the case of the latter factor, Inostrancevia has developed symbiosis to such an extent that these creatures identify each other solely by the presence of contact with these microbes. Like the creature, the player is susceptible to the effects of the disease. However, it is possible to recover from it over time. But with a particular treatment method, the player can redirect the pathogen, activating its beneficial properties. Domesticated While under the influence of the distorted disease, the survivor emits a pleasant scent that aids in identification among tamed Inostrancevias. These creatures go wild upon inhaling it, and similar to pheromones, it compels them to care more about the survivor and even protect them. ABILITIES Description The primary ability - the creature infects players with a specific disease that, when properly treated, can enhance the characters and creature itself. Active Abilities Simple Bite Press the button In bite attack, Inostrancevia deals moderate damage and ignores the creature`s armor. Perhaps it cannot ignore the armor of creatures like the Rock Golem or Reaper. However, it can kill Nameless without using light sources. Or not, idk. Paw Strike Press the button A claw attack that causes bleeding to assist in tracking creatures or players. If you attack, enemy units will leave behind a bloody trail that helps you track them. When the health of creatures or characters is below 20%, the bloody trail becomes more visible, making tracking easier. Infectious Bite Press the button To inflict damage, you need to charge the attack. It applies a new debuff to characters. The new disease is Cave Fever / Redwood Fever. Another name is Inostrancevia's Bite. While the character is sick, their attributes, appearance, and interface will change over time. The disease cannot be transmitted through the air, and while the character is ill, he cannot be infected by another sickness. It is caused by wild or tamed Inostrancevia. There are four stages of infection: First stage After 3 hours. The following attributes will be reduced: Health by 15%, and Stamina by 5%. Second stage After 6 hours of infection. The following attributes will be reduced: Health by 30%, and Stamina by 10%. Third stage After 9 hours of infection. The following attributes will be reduced: Health by 45%, Stamina by 15%, and Melee Damage by 10%. Fourth stage After 12 hours of infection. The following attributes will be reduced: Health by 80%, Stamina by 30%, and Melee Damage by 20%. Upon recovery, the character will receive a new buff at any stage of the disease. It can be cured using the "Lesser Antidote" or a new kind of medicine, for which you will need a new trophy - Inostrancevia Fang, to craft it. Roar Press the button The roar, when used, makes nearby enemy Purlovias emerge from underground. (The creature also has several passive abilities related to Purlovia) Jump Press the button Jumps forward. Unlike the Purlovia, it's a poor jumper. Run Long Press Inostrancevia can run for unlimited without using stamina but is slower than most similar-sized creatures. If you give this creature unlimited sprint, you need to remove the jump. Passive Abilities Inostrancevia takes 25% more damage from fire and fiery projectiles. The hostile Purlovia runs away after seeing Inostrancevia. Also, buried Purlovias will not stun you if you are riding on this creature. When the health of creatures and players is below 20%, the creature attacks deal 50% more damage. This allows you to finish off animals and players faster, and the final blow to a creature/character, before it dies, will have a unique finishing animation. Also, while the health of enemy units is critically low, they will be highlighted to the player riding the Inostrancevia with a special marker or glow, making it much easier to track them. New positive buff "Cured" for the character If the character recovers from the illness, it will receive a new buff. Depending on the stage of the disease at which cured, this buff will have different advantages. If the character is cured at the first stage of the disease, it will receive an increase in the following attributes: Health and health regeneration by 5%. If the character is cured at the second stage of the disease, it will receive an increase in the following attributes: Health and health regeneration by 10%. If the character is cured at the third stage of the disease, it will receive an increase in the following attributes: Health and health regeneration by 15%, Stamina and Melee Damage by 5%. If the character is cured at the final stage of the disease, it will receive an increase in the following attributes: Health and health regeneration by 30%, Stamina and Melee Damage by 10%. In addition to increasing attributes, this buff grants you the infinite effect of "Lesser Antidote." New positive buff "Among relatives" for the creature If a character with the buff "Cured" approach a friendly Inostrancevia, the creature will receive a buff, which increases the value of the following attributes: Melee Damage by 25% and Damage Resistance by 20%. Collectibles Raw Prime Meat ***** Hide ***** Keratin **** Raw Meat **** Chitin *** and others organic resources and consumables. ABERRATION This section of the concept describes how this creature behaves on this map, what abilities it has that are specific to this map, and other details. Passive Abilities If the Reaper Queen is nearby and ready to impregnate characters, the tamed Inostrancevia will alert you by emitting a warning roar. Add the following abilities for the "Cured" buff: The Reaper Queen will consider you a more potential target for impregnation while you are under the effect of the "Cured" buff. And, if the player carries an embryo while under the buff, the future Reaper will also receive this buff, making it stronger and immune to radiation during pregnancy. Immunity to fungal spores or radiation. In the case of radiation, I would grant immunity that removes the blurring effect and extend the death process. Also, provide players with radiation antidote that could temporarily give total protection. This could be a new kind of medicine required to treat the illness caused by this creature. TAMING Before taming, the character must be under the effect of the "Cured" buff. To obtain this buff, the character must become infected with the "Cave Fever/ Redwood Fever" disease and effectively cure it. The character can become infected after a wild Inostrancevia attacks you with its "Infectious Bite" attack if its health drops to 20%. Alternatively, ask a tamed Inostrancevia to infect you or your tribe member using the option in the creature's menu. Inostrancevia changes its temperament from aggressive to neutral-territorial, and instead of directly attacking the player, it keeps them at a distance. When the player approaches the creature, it emits a warning roar, and if ignored and gets even closer, the beast attacks the character. To initiate taming player must hunt and acquire one large or medium-sized creature and show the creature's body to the wild Inostrancevia (required prey size varies depending on the level of the wild Inostrancevia). After the Inostrancevia assesses your prey, and if satisfied with its size, it will request an invitation to join your pack. The player must lead a pack of one or several Inostrancevias to hunt down large prey. Similar to missions in the Genesis maps, players track animals by their bloody trails. If you or your followers efficiently and quickly kill creatures without using tamed dinosaurs during the hunt, Inostrancevia gains percentages and taming effectiveness faster. The females Inostrancevias are larger and stronger than males, which makes their taming process more challenging. Also, your subordinates will regularly test you by challenging you to a hunting duel, where you must compete with a wild Inostrancevia in hunting creatures. A mini-game is activated, in which you and the wild Inostrancevia must hunt a certain number of preys within a short period, and the winner will be the one who tracks and hunt down more creatures. Remember, the final taming method may change depending on how WildCard interprets it. CONCEPT QUESTIONS Why didn't I use Gorgonops' abilities, such as "scent detection of creatures and players" and "ability to stealth while crouched"? Because, in my understanding, those abilities are relevant for mammalian predators, similar to modern canids or felids. However, in this case, we are talking about a creature that lived approximately 260 million years ago and has no modern analogs closely resembling it. Perhaps reasonable to give the "sneak" ability to some cat-like creatures, such as the Sabertooth or Miracinonyx. However, in the case of the Mira, it would be inappropriate as its main feature is speed, not the ability to sneak. Can the "Cured" buff increase the value of other characteristics or have other abilities? YES! My task is to present the main conception of this creature, however, some aspects of it may change over time. If you have any ideas or suggestions regarding this buff, I will carefully listen to them in the comments below this post.
  4. This is my personal opinion, and you may disagree with it, but please refrain from giving me negative ratings. Thanks You know We already have a spider in the game with almost the same abilities as web-bolas, its name being Araneo or Araneomorphus, which players can tame and ride it. So why should we vote for a creature that has abilities similar to those already present in the game? Why can't devs redesign Araneo or ARK`s Scorpion if you need a creature to grab and knock out other creatures? Alright. What about Maevia? - If we remove all the abilities of this creature related to the web, what can this creature do? - Idk This creature can dance, and make it a dancer!!! Once, someone created a concept for Gigantoraptor, giving it the ability of a hypnotic dance. Think about this for Maevia. Don't think of this creature as someone who can only weave webs. But. If you want to give it a few abilities related to webs, you can make it, for example, a web equivalent of the "Grappling Hook" or "Zip-Line Anchor" with unlimited ammunition. It would be much more useful on maps like Aberration. For now, it is an interesting creature with uninteresting abilities. If you revise the concept to include different abilities, I will vote for this creature. But for now, it will occupy the lower ranks in my rating.
  5. Okay 🙂 If seriously, I consider this creature to be one of the most suitable candidates for introduction to the Aber map. I have read the concept of this creature, and I have a few questions and ideas for this creature: Question 1: Does the creature have immunity to radiation? Question 2: For what stage of the game is this creature intended? Question 3: I feel that a creature with climbing abilities has too easy of a taming method and that the wild should only inhabit the Bioluminescent Zone and possibly the Radiation zone. What do you think about this? Question 4: I don't see the creature's trapping ability, did you remove it? Suggestion 1: I would like this creature may gather or produce the organic polymer. For me, this creature is associated with it. Suggestion 2: For the passive ability "Resistant scales", I suggest adding resistance to mushroom spores/radiation, due to the durability of the cloak. Suggestion 3: Maybe, provide multiple modes for tongue attack, where activating applies different debuffs. Also, gather creature poison in its inventory, which can be used to create antidotes. Suggestion 4: Provide new abilities for the creature`s tongue, like "Whip", that allows it to attract resources and boxes that are dropped on the ground, maybe weapons from human hands, and eggs, at a very long distance. Additionally, grant the ability to analyze the stats of creatures when the Teraterpeton touches them with its tongue. Thanks for the reading and answer ❤️ If I have more ideas or suggestions, I will write to you.
  6. OMG!!! Dude Did you really bring back this creature from the voting for the Scorched Earth map?! This is one of my favorite creatures for the Aberration map. I LOVE THIS Thanks ❤️❤️❤️
  7. GORGONOPS AND INOSTRANCEVIA ARE BACK!!! Check out my concept of the creature Inostrancevia, titled "A DISEASED CREATURE WITH NEW HUNTING ABILITIES - INOSTRANCEVIA." I take some ideas from the Gorgonops concept and adapted them to my vision. Maybe I post it here as an alternative concept. The image shows Inostrancevia on the left and Gorgonops on the right. 9. Message for user 'Oreloki' Please add these abilities for the "dire otter" dossier The first ability is "Beaver Dam Theft" Destroy the 'beaver dam' and all the resources inside will be dropped on the ground or added to the creature's inventory, without alarming the beavers. The second ability is "Fish Collection" It allows for collecting any size fish and placing them in the 'fish baskets' in the creature's inventory and increases the storage time of fish in the 'fish baskets' by 2 hours. Also Add the abilities of 'flippers' and 'SCUBA Mask' a character buff that provides a swimming speed boost and maybe the ability to see underwater when the player is riding a "dire otter". I think that this creature really needs to be added to the game with your concept. Thanks for creating this creature`s dossier.
  10. Thank you for the response. Indeed, we have creatures similar to Rock Drakes that can glide despite their size and lack of proper wings, or the Shadowmanes that can jump incredible distances. Their abilities defy logic. When creating prototype creatures based on real animals, I don't follow mechanics from fictional creatures in Ark that have no real-world equivalent. I don't remember all the mechanics, but I remember some, for example, the ability of Gigantoraptor to incubate creature eggs. Therefore, I want to offer my idea for its implementation. I think it would be appropriate to give the ability to build a nest for a tamed Gigantoraptor, just like wild ones do. Also, limit the creature to only building one nest. One Gigantoraptor - one nest. The number of eggs that can be laid in the nest should be from 5 to 6, possibly 8. And the eggs should be directly incubated in the nest, with a creature sitting on it. If this is already present in your concept, lmk.
  11. I like the concept of the Gigantoraptor proposed by the user "ashgcy". However, I think the ability to "jump" is inappropriate for the Gigantoraptor due to its size. I want to thank the user "thenumber1Echo" for coming up with a concept based on stealing eggs. I think some of these ideas could be implemented in the game as a TLC update for the Oviraptor. Special thanks to the user "UnknowUserZ" for providing the concept based on hypnosis abilities and taming through the "dance". I really like this concept. 😍😍😍 Also, I want to thank users "RhinoRex", "Jonathon99", "OwlBowl", and others for providing your concepts for this creature. We need more boys like Deinocheirus, and Gigantoraptor in the game. ❤️❤️❤️
  12. CANCELED "We have canceled this creature concept due to its abilities not matching the Scorched Earth map. However, we will leave it on this thread so that people can see an example of this creature's implementation in the game." - Khan0803. In addition to my dossier for this creature Possible uses of the TEK saddle. Walking Mode. Active Abilities. (TEK saddle) Dust Collecting. When the "Dust Collecting" ability is activated, the creature acts like a vacuum, collecting dust during a sandstorm or from sand clouds created by the creature itself. This mode allows the creature to gather three types of resources. Flint (Very common) Silicate (Common) Obsidian (Uncommon) (It accumulates resources inside its inventory until the weight limit is reached) Similarly, it collects element dust, which can be found in the space biome on the "Genesis: Part 2" map, or sand, which can be found on beaches on the "Ragnarok" map. Image. The "Dust Collecting" ability for the Armadillo. Roller Mode. Active Abilities. (TEK Saddle) Tek forcefield. Ability to move with activated "Tek force field". The field has 5,000 durability points and absorbs all damage. The recharge time is 10 minutes after deactivation. The Tek field receives additional damage from explosive projectiles. Provides the ability to breathe underwater. However, it consumes 5 units of durability per second. It can protect the creature from falling, but it consumes durability. Armadillo receives increased repulsion when the field is activated. Image. The "Tek force field" ability for the Armadillo. Roller Mode. Passive Abilities. (TEK Saddle) It leaves a pleasant trail, similar to the Astrodelphis. It adds a 15% increase to the creature's movement speed, but this speed increase does not affect the creature's acceleration. Drill Mode. Active Abilities. (TEK Saddle) Rocket jump. The ability to activate a jump from a standstill, with movement to the selected point. The creature lands and automatically switches to another mode, dealing a significant amount of damage. It deals damage to players, creatures, and structures. The creature will turn in the direction you want for the jump and can also jump backward. (If jumped on a foundation, it will switch to walking mode, if jumped on the ground, it will switch to rolling mode). During the jump, its resistance to projectiles is reduced from 75% to 35%. Image. The "Rocket jump" ability for the Armadillo. Drill Mode. Passive Abilities. (TEK Saddle) The ability to extract element veins on the "Extinction" map by exclusively collecting elemental dust, but in large quantities. Tent Mode. Active Abilities. (TEK Saddle) An additional incubation slot. Armadillo gains an additional incubation slot for Wyvern eggs. The creature can also provide the player with food and water, similar to a Tek Sleeping Pod. However, it does not perform functions such as experience gain, curing diseases, or healing the player's health. Tent Mode. Passive Abilities. (TEK Saddle) An increased wyvern egg incubation rate by 20%.
  13. CANCELED "We have canceled this creature concept due to its abilities not matching the Scorched Earth map. However, we will leave it on this thread so that people can see an example of this creature's implementation in the game." - Khan0803. In ARK: Taming (NEW) Taming Method – Passive The creature is tamed using passive feeding with two diets: vegetarian and meat-based. Each diet involves feeding the creature with the corresponding type of food. The taming process begins with the creature choosing which diet to start with. Every 25% of the taming progress, the creature changes its food preferences (it changes its diet). The "Vegetarian" taming scheme. This shows the amount required for one feeding. (TEK Saddle) (NEW) Armadillosuchus Dossier ARMADILLOSUCHUS, THE DUST KING, AND ARMOURED CREATURE Real Armadillosuchus Armadillosuchus arrudai Wiki Eng. - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armadillosuchus The Armadillosuchus was a creature with distinct features, such as armor and teeth resembling those of mammals. It is considered an extinct genus of crocodylomorphs from the Late Cretaceous period. The armor plating is a cluster of osteoderms, which are also present in modern crocodiles; in Armadillosuchus, these structures are closely adjacent. The armor was probably flexible and had protective properties, covering the body, neck, and nape of the creature. Based on its close relatives, it is believed that the creature had a nocturnal and terrestrial lifestyle, unlike modern crocodiles. It is possible that the Armadillosuchus could dig burrows or occupy others, and it is considered to have been omnivorous. In terms of lifestyle, these features link it to modern hedgehogs, armadillos, and aardvarks. Two images, Armadillosuchus (left) and his relatives (right). Appearance - Armadillosuchus resembles a hybrid of Kaprosuchus and Doedicurus. Unlike the Kaprosuchus, this creature is less fond of moisture and feels more comfortable on warm soil that can warm its body. However, in particularly cool or hot environments, it becomes uncomfortable, and it begins to bury itself in sand or soil to regulate its temperature. His armor is smooth, but covered with small growths similar to spikes that help when rolling through the desert. Along the creature's back, these spikes are more pronounced, and the creature extends them during aggression to appear larger. Symbiosis with jerboas. Armadillos can be found in the company of these small but very cute creatures. They act as sentinels and warn of approaching danger or changes in weather, in exchange for protection. Size - the creature is larger than Doedicurus and comparable in size to Andrewsarchus. Behavior - Aggressive creatures attack the wild Armadillosuchus. Even small creatures, like Raptors, are capable of attacking the creature. Typically, this creature is neutral, but it can change its behavior depending on the weather conditions. In a thunderstorm, the creature becomes aggressive toward the player, which can make the taming process difficult. At night and during intense heat, the creature buries itself and hides in its shell, making it difficult to tame, and the process of killing it becomes more challenging. During a sandstorm, the creature becomes more pliable, making the taming process more effective and faster, while the food also becomes more effective. In the rain, the behavior is similar to that during a sandstorm, only the opposite. The creature becomes less malleable, and the taming process becomes longer. Spawn locations - dunes, an edge of the map. They can always be found near "Water Vein". In other areas, they are extremely rare. Drops: Meat Hide Keratin Wild: Active Abilities Dust cloud. If the creature's health drops to 20%, it will start running away. It will curl up into its shell and begin rolling, leaving behind a trail in the form of a dust cloud. Wild: Passive Abilities The disease "Silicosis". Occurs when a survivor comes into contact with the dust cloud left by the Wild Armadillo. Wearing a "Gas Mask" is necessary to prevent the disease from affecting the character. The disease cannot be transmitted to other players in PvP. The disease imposes the following effects on the character: Survivors move and attack in close combat 20% slower, and resources in the inventory weigh 20% more. This applies to resources that weigh more than 10 units per stack. The number of oxygen attribute units decreases by 50% during the illness. Armor. In any form, the Wild Armadillo has 25% damage resistance due to its armor. Like Carbonemys, there are certain areas on its body where its armor will be ignored when hit by a projectile. In ARK: Tamed Armadillo Riding – yes Saddles: Armadillo Saddle (Level 68), Armadillo TEK Saddle (Alpha Manticore, Scorched Earth Only) The images show two variations of the saddle placement on Armadillo. Rider Weaponry – yes Tamed: Active Abilities Mode menu. The button activates a menu containing special modes. There are a total of 4 modes: walking mode > rolling mode > drilling mode > tent mode. Each of the modes serves a specific purpose. Mode switching. When the player presses the button, the Armadillo will switch to the next mode on the list without opening the menu. Walking Mode. Description. This mode is a state inherent to all creatures in the game. In this mode, Armadillo has standard types of attacks, such as bite, tail swipe, and roar. Image. Armadillo in walking mode. Walking Mode. Active Abilities. Bite. When using its bite attack, Armadillo deals moderate damage to the target. Tail attack. When the Armadillo attacks with its tail, it deals moderate damage at close range. It deals less damage than with its bite, but it can attack from behind. Roar. The creature will stand on its hind legs and roar. Walking Mode. Passive Abilities. The creature doesn't have passive abilities in this mode. Roller Mode. Description. This is the ideal way to move on the Armadillo. The Armadillo's ability to move in the form of a roller, similar to a Doedicurus, with one exception - it can move for an unlimited amount of time. Like the Woolly Rhino, the Armadillo gradually gains speed, and when the creature has reached its maximum speed, it can crush creatures and players (It can do this at low speeds, but it will have a weak effect). If the creature takes damage while moving, it will lose speed. Try to accelerate the creature to its maximum speed and hit enemy players and creatures, this will allow you to knock them down and paralyze them with the "Stunned!" debuff. Currently, the "Stunned!" debuff is used by creatures such as the Purlovia, Baryonyx, and Microraptor. The creature has a 15% reduction in damage from any type of projectile while in this mode. You also have access to unique attacks for the creature, which involve the use of dust and sand clouds. Some types of creatures can resist them, such as Wyverns. Image. Armadillo in roller mode. Roller Mode. Active Abilities. Sand Cloud v.1. The Armadillo spins in place and raises a dust cloud that damages survivors and applies corresponding effects to them. The attack can have a large area of effect. Sand Cloud v.2. To use it while moving, the Armadillo leaves a track similar to a wild one, and when entering the cloud, players will not contract the "Silicosis" disease. Roller Mode. Passive Abilities. New creature positive buff "On a slope". If the creature moves on a sloping terrain for five seconds, it will receive a 15% buff to its movement speed. New character negative buff "Sand Corrosion". When this status is active, the armor of survivors and tamed creatures will lose durability. It deals 1 damage per second and 5 or 10 damage if the survivor has no armor. It applies to survivors who enter the cloud. The status disappears when leaving the affected area. New creature positive buff "Digging down". Description: The creature starts digging This allows you to quickly switch to drilling mode. The creature receives a buff when creating a sand cloud on the spot (Sand Cloud v.1). Drill Mode. Description. When activated, Armadillo will start digging and burrowing into the ground, assuming a static position and becoming immobile. The rider inside the Armadillo is invulnerable, but they cannot dismount while on the creature in this mode. While in this mode, it can rotate and harvest resources. It will gather all resources within a certain range around itself. The creature in the drill mode has 75% resistance to damage from projectiles and Auto-Turrets. Image. Armadillo in drill mode. Drill Mode. Active Abilities. Rotation. When activated, the creature will begin to rotate and harvest resources. It mines loose-type resources such as raw salt and sand. It can also mine sparkpowder from stones that do not contain sand inside them. It directly extracts it without the need for a mortar and pestle. A fully charged Armadillo can reflect bullets fired from firearms or Auto-Turrets while rotating. Reflected bullets deal 25% less damage and ricochet back toward the shooter, dealing 50% reduced damage. The chance to reflect a bullet is 20%. If the shooter is an Auto-Turret, the reflected bullet will not damage its durability, but there is a 5% chance that it will be disabled for 5 seconds. Note: It is possible that Velonasaur projectiles can also be reflected using this creature. Velonasaur projectiles stun Velonasaurs (debuff "Stunned!"). Drill Mode. Passive Abilities. New creature positive buff "The camouflage position". In drill mode, wild creatures will not pay attention to the Armadillo and its rider. New creature positive buff "Charged speed". Description: Armadillo is ready to break forward When activated, it allows for quick and maximum-speed switching to roller mode. The creature will receive a positive effect if fully spun up (Rotation). Tent Mode. Description. In this mode, the creature has the abilities of an original tent, providing the player with protection from extreme temperatures and weather conditions. When an Armadillo lies down and curls up, it becomes static and allows the player to lie inside it. Image. Armadillo in tent mode. Tent Mode. Active Abilities. Wyvern egg incubator. You can put a Wyvern egg in the special inventory slot of an Armadillo, and the creature will start incubating it until the egg incubation progress reaches zero. Once the egg is fully incubated, it will remain in this slot. If a player wants to lie inside the creature while the egg is inside it, the egg will fall inside its inventory (a warning message will appear above the creature, indicating an egg inside). Note: it is possible to incubate Magmasaur and Rock Drake eggs. Tamed: Passive Abilities "Courage". During a sandstorm, the creature will receive the "Courage" buff. The creature will receive this buff in all its forms. You can also get this buff by using the courage roar on a Yutyrannus. The creature is immune to debuffs applied during a sandstorm.
