  1. You guys are all in denial. They've listed a load of stuff they are doing and there will be more. ASA is meant to be developed in parallel with ARK 2, it is NOT a stop gap.
  2. They are doing a lot more than a simple port. Read the Roadmap update as to how it has changed from a port to a lot more.
  3. The basic port to UE5 was scrapped, which is why it is now becoming ASA. You're either not up on what's been happening or you're in denial.
  4. As we all know there are only 32 achievements for the whole of ARK, this includes the DLCs. Often games add achievements with DLCs but ARK has never gone that way. So with ARK Survival Ascended releasing later this year, giving an opportunity for the possibility of new achievements being added to the game, including DLC specific ones, what achievements would you like to see added to ASA?
  5. Timely news update? I mean the Crunch did release approx 3 hours later than normal but it wasn't that late. In fact you just said you missed the 2x until it was over.... well the 2x is still running, most likely for another ~7+ hours. How are they hinting that they are messing with the ASE gameplay? They won't be showing ASA gameplay until shortly before release, which is what they originally did for ASE back in 2015. That's how Wildcard operates. They aren't messing with anything. And they are no longer just porting to UE5, they are doing a major overhaul of the game. That will be beneficial for pretty much everyone that plays it. They have given no indication that they are changing the mechanics like souls-like or anything like that. The whole point of doing ASA and doing a major overhaul is to have ASA running parallel with ARK 2 once ARK 2 releases so that there are 2 games to play. The devs have already admitted that ARK 2 is going to be a vastly different game and therefore a lot of ARK players may not want to play it. Therefore they are doing ASA so that those players can still play ARK 1 but more enhanced on UE5. So they are hardly going to introduce souls-like to ASA when that is one of the main things that people may not like about ARK 2.
  6. This happens all the time every day in life. Plans change, decisions change.
  7. Taking a look at the latest ARK 2 and ASA reveals.
  8. That is actually a screenshot taken of the asset from within UE5. It is not artwork. This was confirmed by Jesse.
  9. You won't see gameplay until a few weeks before the game releases. That's how Wildcard do it.
  10. I'm thinking that if the Carno and Rex have 2-seater saddles that something like the Brachi could potentially see 3 or 4 seat saddles.
  11. Actually a lot of people asked for ASE to be upgraded to UE5, people have asked for that ever since UE5 released.
  12. I never said it didn't. But everything that person suggested was p2w stuff.
  13. How wrong can you be. I'd hardly say everybody would be happy with pay-2-win mechanics.
  14. Why would they do that, that makes no logical sense whatsoever. Anyway Gamerservers stopped selling ARK and reduced all their game servers to just these 10 games way back in November. So lets not start creating conspiracy theories.
  15. I absolutely cannot wait to get ASA and play through it again and see all the new stuff! 👀
  16. Well the issue here is no-one knows the price of ARK 2. You are assuming an early access game will be full price at $60. So you are looking at the worst case scenario. Nothing wrong with that, but you are unhappy about something you don't know yet. Hell we can only assume that they are still making it as an early access game. But personally i'm not concerned about the fact I may have to raise an additional $60 over nearly a 2 YEAR period before the game releases.
  17. Actually that is the result of the original roadmap, not the updated roadmap. I suspect there will be many that may now be happier with the updated package but don't bother to change their review.
  18. It's only a price increase IF someone doesn't want the DLCs. Which would likely be a very small minority as there wouldn't be much point in just having The Island and the free maps on a remastered version without all the other content. You might as well stick with ASE. If you want all DLCs and you want ARK 2, then there is a window of $30 that you've saved and right at this present time we don't have a price for ARK 2 in early access. So this would only be a higher price IF ARK 2 costs more than $30 at release. If it costs $30 then the price has not increased at all. Assuming i've done my math right.
  19. It's not though. It's now a $60 bundle with all DLCs instead of the DLCs costing $40 ontop of the bundle. They've not official confirmed they are no longer using Mod.io. It's very possible for ASA they use Overwolf and ARK 2 they use Mod.io.
  20. I'm going to be buying both and I don't see any issues with this deal at all. ARK 2 is so far away that i'm not even concerned how much it will cost in 2025, because we all know that's when it will release at the earliest, so that's 2 years away.
  21. A much better deal. This saves us ~$30. It saves PlayStation $20 because ARK 2 will be years away. It saves Xbox $30 because they'll get ARK 2 on Gamepass anyway. It saves PC $30 in the shorter term until ARK 2 releases but doesn't force anyone to buy ARK 2. The price overall hasn't been increased.
  22. One would beg the question as to why have the event when all will be lost in 4 months.
  23. Try reading the roadmap first before making silly comments. 🤦‍♂️
