Hello!, fellow survivors! today im here to introduce you into an intresting and VERY requested dinosaur since- well, the begining yaha! the amazing Ceratosaurus! after many weeks and sweat for the preparation of this dinosaur, im glad to present to everyone... The amazing Ceratosaurus Aptulaecus! (from the latin "adaptable" and "savage") Now, lets learn about this dinosaur and show you its unique taming method and abilities!(trust me, the taming is unique) Dossier: You know... these harsh land and mad creatures arent really helping giving myself hope that i will live through all of this... but this fella certainly does cheer me up by only looking at it! Ceratosaurus aptulaectus is quite charming despite its mean appearance, its loyal and cheerful attitude are something special, even more so after you realize its an fearsome predator! i would say therapeutic even, like a big puppy!(big puppy with a horn that could bleed you out by only getting a small cut...) Wild: These intelligent yet prideful theropod dinosaurs are quite difficult to study in the wild, since they dont like humans neither any other creature around their space, yet still that doesnt make them bad hunters Ive seen the ceratosaurus use its peculiar features in a very skillful way, ceratosaurus has 3 crests in its face, which many people confuse with "horns". they use these crests for 2 thing mainly: 1. the first way they use them is defensivly or to attack other creatures, the crests are sharp,sharp as flint even! and can be used to bleed their prey until death, they dont headbutt like the true theropod with horns we know, the carnotaurus, instead, they ram at full speed the poor animal to insert their crests and perforate the creture's skin and even perforate organs, basiclly,a very painful and bloody death... And 2. since they live is such harsh environment, they can maintain they temperature very efficiently thanks to their crests, which means that it can share its insulation with its rider, or by just standing next to it! so if you have ceratosaurus by your side, those cold nights or hell-like sunstrikes will be no worry for you! I also noticed that ceratosaurus really dislikes pack-hunting creatures such as raptors and allosaurs, since its a solitare creature and has to directly compete with them for the food supply and it angers them when they loose their prey in a 1 against 4. but when they find a mate things change, since they practice a monogamous life style, so it isnt rare to see a copule of ceratosaurs together. Domesticated: To tame this dinosaur, you will need to make a fire show, quite literally. Ive noticed that ceratosaurus aptulaectus isnt afraid of fire, more like...amazed by it, so now you see where this is going right? You will need to approach a wild ceratosaurus with a flamethrower, the ceratosaurus will be aggressive until you start flamethrowing in the air (just dont hit him) and trying to make him passive (you can use camouflage to approach it more without getting his aggro on you), it will start looking carefully at you, YOU own the fire, which means YOU are in charge for him now, when the ceratosaurus goes passive, you need to show him that youre a worthy hunter, just start hunting other creatures so the ceratosaurus acknowledges youre a better hunter than him. But you need to watch your back once a while, these dinosaurs are really prideful, so if they see that you lowered your guard down they will try and attack you, to prevent this, with a simple torch you can put it in its place to show that youre still in command. Once tamed, these dinosaurs will be your best buddy to travel across these harsh lands and they wont think twice and defend you by risking their own life to protect its rider! {imagen mostrando el proceso de doma del ceratosaurus} Abilities: Now, after we learnt about this dinosaur, lets showcase its abilities, right? LMB:a normal bite that does normal damage (simillar to a baryonyx or thylacoleo) but has fast attack speed RMB:a powerful tail slam to the ground, which causes no damage but it throws a lot of sand,dust,snow (depends on what your ceratosaurus is standing) into the air to blind attackers to have a good chance when escaping enemies. (simillar to the lymantria spore effect but on the groud!) (while running) Hold RMB to activate the "crest ram" attack, which inflicts 20% bleed loss when reaching full speed (note: after the victim gets hit by the crest ram, its inmune to any bleed effect for 1 minute). the ceratosaurus has a temperature insulation that it can share to nearby survivors or riders (hyperthermic and hipothermic insulation) Rivalry: an status effect which increases the ceratosaur's damage output and decreases incoming damage from enemy pack-hunting creatues are close to the ceratosaurus, since they dont like the pack hunters even in nature. (this buff is diffrent depending on the ceratosaur's gender: males get the damage buff only while the females get the damage reduction only!) Hunter: the ceratosaurus inflicts 10% more damage when attacking herbivores (this is a passive ability) since ceratosaurus preffers hunting herbivores like most of the carnivores out there! Wound healing: ceratosaurus is very resistant to the hot environments, the hot thermal waters of extinction dont hurt it, in fact they heal the animal similar to the spinosaurus hydrated buff but without the speed buff and damage buff. ANDDDDD HERE IS IS EVERYBODY!!! This is the ceratosaurus aptulaectus showcase! me personally, i always wanted this dinosaur to be in ARK since the very begining and im sure im not the only one! Lets get this good boy into the roster everyone! chauuu! ❤️ *note*: hey there! i actually wrote this note right here like 2 weeks after finishing the dossier, i wanted to make clear that im NOT taking any type of inspiration of the ARK: Addition's ceratosaurs that, by the time im writing this down, it came out like 2 days ago so please dont think im ripping off garuga's amazing work! it was just a pleasent surprise haha!

I actually thinked about it a lot more and id say that if this creature wins they better add the second one like they did with sinomacrops, since ive done research and "maevia" is the general name of a lot of species and sub-species of jumping spiders, and they arent really old too, since they evolved at the eocene until today, even tho i LOVE how this boi looks, its adorable, you cant deny that, but i feel that its unfair to use a modern species that isnt that old too as a new creature for aberration, again, no hate, i just think its unfair, maybe i would say next time try and go for another species of spider that actually went extint or that is really REALLY old

This boi is REALLY cute but i still cant get over its massive size, since we all knew the jumping spiders as smol and cute creatures well maybe except aracnophobics-

The miracinonyx is a great creature idea, but i dont see in a map like aberration, but its still great, good job!

Pycnonemosaurus dossier-1.pdf Dossier: Common Name: Pycnonemosaurus Species: Pycnonemosaurus Brutus Time: Late cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive/ Mostly! Wild: You know, ive met various types of werid creatures, but pycnonemosaurus is a special one. Pycnonemosaurus Brutus, relative to carnotaurus, is a MASSIVE member of a group of dinosaurs named: "abelisaurids". which had tiny ADORABLE arms, with big jaws. The "pycno" is a really strong fella, its jaws are designed to grapple into prey and tear it appart. Also, this dinosaur is thick headed, so much that even direct bullet hits can be deflected! Taming: To tame this beast, one must look as non threatning as possible, then approach the beast and feed it, while distracted, pet it to show affection, BUT DONT MOVE! Domesticated: Once tamed, this dino is extremly loyal, its strong yet stiff tail gives it the ability to either help it reach extremly fast speeds on a straight line or give it a lot of agility, at cost of speed. With his thick head it can rapidly do a headbutt for knockback or do what i like to call "brace" which makes the pycnonemosaurus take less harm and even deflect bullets, a good pick to tank turrets! The real animal: Pycnonemosaurus is known in science for being the biggest abelisaurid that was ever found! this guy lived at the late cretaceous and was found in brazil, this dinosaur was a formidable apex predator of its ecosystem, so much that even sauropods had to be careful! Abilities: This dinosaur has some really intresting abilities; Bite: a normal bite that does medium damage (LMB). Headswing: an attack that, depending on where your mouse is looking, will give a charged headbutt to do knockback, this attack takes 3 seconds to be fully charged. (Spacebbar + RMB). Heavy crushing bite: simillar to the headswing, except this attack does heavy damage, but no knockback, this attack takes 5 seconds to be fully charged. (RMB click, when you wanna bite just click RMB again). Brace: The pycno will use its thick head to take 75% reduced damage, at the cost of only being able to walk foward and being extremly slow. (Hold down RMB and relesse when you want your pycno to stop bracing) Tail modes: this dinosaur has a long but stiff tail, which gives it 2 uses: Rush mode: when activated, this dinosaur does a charge foward doing heavy damage, but at cost of turn radius, because when doing a fast turn you lose your charge speed buff, when a target gets hit, the effect it will recive depends on the target's weight: if its small (raptor sized, including survivors) the target will get launched into the air and when it will hit the ground it will take some fall damage, and it will be stunned for 5 seconds, this has a cooldown, if the target survives the first hit, it can no longer be stunned until the cooldown is gone. if its a big target (carno sized) the charge will inflict heavy damage and will do knockback only. Agile mode: when activated, the pycno will have more mobility when turning but it looses speed. (The tail modes can be activated by pressing X) Where to find it: Pycnonemosaurus can be found in dense forests, like its name suggests. It has skin that gives it a natural camouflage, so it can hide better when stalking its prey. (Youre its prey...) Saddle: To learn pycno's saddle, one must be level 60. resources: This dino farms the next resources, (from most effective to least effective): prime meat raw meat hide quitin keratin And thats all for pycnonemosaurs! i hope you enjoyed to read this suggestion for the new creature to come to ark!
