Other Genesis II Wallpapers Exo-mek Egg Incubator Maewing Federation Crop Plot Shadowmane Shadowmane (Widescreen) Loadout Mannequin Small Tribes Update As previously announced, the Small Tribes Rules have been updated and made more stringent to address some of the pain points you’ve experienced. Along with this comes the need for those sharing defenses to move those defenses or for some tribes to relocate altogether, depending on the location. The full rules can be found here if you’d like to go over them We’ve noticed there hasn’t been much progression in this area and we’re past the end date of April 23rd! Because of this, we’ve decided to give players two more weeks as we’d much prefer not to have tribes wiped by enforcement. Let’s address a few questions that have come up from the community to make sure the cave/shared defenses rule is crystal clear. We’d like to take this time to clear up any misconceptions players may have gotten from the last post. Sharing Center Ice Cave is against the spirit of the rules, irrespective of the fact small and large sides can theoretically be regarded as different defenses, they are quite directly benefiting from the presence of each other in that location If a tribe hasn’t relocated (or forcefully taken both sides) by the end of the two-week extension, enforcement will opt to wipe the base on the small side. Valguero Underground entrances cannot be blocked. Images showing limits for defenses near chokes are shared below. Multiple tribes can live inside but they must not share defenses in any way. For example, a tribe in tree and a tribe on large plateau with their own unique defenses is fine. A tribe at the bottom of the tree and a tribe at the top equates to shared defenses: the defenses at the bottom must be breached to reach the tribe at the top. These changes may just be the start, but they’ve set the stage for possible fine tuning in the months ahead. EVO Event Survivors on all platforms will be receiving a special Evolution Event perk! It will be active from Friday the 30th of April to Monday the 3rd of May. There's been an update to the ruleset based off community feedback. The rule below has been removed for the upcoming season. There will be a 24 hour cooldown on tribe slot reuse (This means that if someone leaves the tribe, their place cannot be taken by another player (or rejoin) for 24 hours)

Conquest servers are being re-introduced by Snail Games and to kick-start the new season, our current Classic PvP season will end and servers will be wiped shortly before the new Conquest begins on April 27th at 10am Pacific. New Season Details Experience gain, taming, gathering, breeding, hatching, and raising rates have been doubled compared to our standard Official Servers (2x) No cave building Scaling of weapon damage has been reduced Tribes are set to 25 players max Tribe alliances are disabled, though informal alliances are allowed Servers have a maximum player count of 100 These maps will be available on launch (April 27th): The Island, Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Valguero, and The Center. The following maps will be added on May 7th: Aberration, Extinction, Genesis I, and Crystal Isles. TEK is enabled. The entire development team is excited and anxious to share Genesis II with you. Over the weekend, Jeremy Stieglitz (co-founder) shared some things he's been passionately working on for Genesis II, along with a teaser of ARK: The Animated Series. Eggcellent Adventure is still live on all platforms. Time is running out to reap some eggcellent rewards. The event ends on April 14th! Check out this post for more details on the event. Classic PvP Cluster Merge On March 9th, Snail Games added a separate cluster from the existing Classic PvP servers which allowed newer players an opportunity to catch up to the progression that's been made in the current season before merging with the existing cluster. Now that the new Classic PvP recruits are up and running, the merge of Cluster A and Cluster B is not far behind. Classic PvP is meant to offer an alternative PvP playstyle, and because so, it will undergo changes and seasonal wipes as the mode matures and more feedback is considered. The idea of what Classic PvP looks like and how it plays will continue to evolve as the game mode matures. This season Aberration, Extinction, Genesis I, and Crystal Isles will be added to the list of maps when the merged cluster launches in the first week of May. As we get closer to the merge, we’ll keep you updated with information on the exact launch date and time. We consulted with our enforcement team and had some much-appreciated talks with a large number of players from the Small Tribes community in order to hone our approach to improving quality of life and enforcement on these servers. So, without further ado, let’s get to it! Rules Overview One of the most impactful changes will be considering tribes benefitting from another tribe’s defenses as teaming. We are giving 4 weeks notice (23rd April 2021) before the enforcement team will act on these specific rules in order to provide tribes time to relocate or otherwise adjust defenses. We’re also clarifying that open-world PvP is okay. The rules will get into the nitty-gritty, but essentially, if it’s out in the open and away from a base and doesn’t include a FOB or a bunch of dinos that can be considered raiding meta dinos eg: box build racers etc, it’s fair game to PvP freely and grab those kits. We want players to be able to have spontaneous fun in the open world without keeping tabs on who may randomly show up to join in. Another impactful clarification is: Bases in different locations are open to being attacked by different tribes simultaneously. In essence, don’t build whatcha can't defend. Teaming ticket guidelines It’s impossible for the enforcement team to always join a server and investigate teaming reports live. Sometimes it happens and it’s great but we’d like to improve on the efficiency of investigations, especially retroactive enforcement action after the fact if the team is unable to check it out live and in the moment. Unfortunately, the vast majority of teaming reports only include a screenshot of tribelogs and this is very rarely sufficient evidence for the enforcement team to take action. We’ve put together a guide on what will assist you and the enforcement team in a more thorough investigation and swift enforcement action. Including a video greatly improves the quality of the investigation and is encouraged: . Video should include short overview of action going on Indicate the relative position of associated bases/FOBs Please show who owns them (use spyglass) If possible, try to show where the action is taking place (players/dinos) spyglass of people names should show shortly before or after they teamed for longer videos include timestamps where stuff can be seen Tribe names and player names must be included in the videos Videos should be submitted via a Youtube link (see help article) here Screenshots/videos of tribe logs is not sufficient evidence for action in the vast majority of cases. More Severe Enforcement Action: Another change of note that works in harmony with more thorough submissions of evidence is the severity of enforcement action for certain cases. Enforcement will be looking at more frequently wiping “main” bases of offenders rather than focusing the FOB and player bans (those things will continue to happen too though!) In 2019, the launch of the Snail Games Initiative, Classic PvP, created an exciting and competitive playing experience for PC players. Throughout the course of the seasons, the meta was watched closely and changes were made to shake things up and create an experience tailored for PvP gameplay. Today, players can continue on the quest for the ultimate PvP experience with the introduction of Classic Season 4 Cluster B. Cluster B will be a separate cluster from the existing Classic PvP servers, which will allow newer players an opportunity to catch up to the progression that's been made in the current season by playing on a network with higher rates. Both clusters will be heavily moderated to ensure a fair playing ground and an equal competitive footing. Before the launch of Genesis II, both Classic PvP (A & B) clusters will merge and form one Classic PvP cluster. If you haven't had an opportunity to check Classic PvP out, this might be the perfect opportunity! Cluster B launches on the 12th of March at 1 PM Eastern / 10 AM Pacific! LiveOps Update Corrupted Dino Kiting on Extinction PvE We have clocked a high incidence of enforcement tickets related to players breaking the CoC by kiting corrupted dinos into other player’s bases on our Extinction servers. This is highly disruptive to player’s experience. We’ve implemented some targeted changes in the past to address the issue whilst retaining the overall game design for the Extinction gameplay loop but this compromise between technical fixes and design has allowed some ill-intentioned players to get more imaginative. We’ve come up with a technical solution to address this once and for all: we have disabled corrupted dino damage against all structures on PvE specifically. We’re confident this will come as a relief to affected players (and our enforcement team hehe). Small Tribes Teaming Rules The spirit of Small Tribes has always been to give players the opportunity to experience a tight group dynamic that is void of the scale and diplomacy of Official. We recognize it’s time to implement change in order to preserve the original concept--one we were hyped about along with our community! We’ve long been aware of ongoing issues with teaming along with gaps in our Small Tribes rules that have allowed some players to take advantage. To combat this, we’ve reviewed and begun updating and expanding those rules with a goal to improve the experience and, hopefully, crack down on teaming. The unique environment of Small Tribes has proved taxing on our Enforcement Team so, along with adding a new stricter ruleset, we’ll be looking at ways to make the investigative process more efficient. This will include more comprehensive guidelines on the types of evidence players should include in their tickets in order to expedite investigations. All of these changes may require further iteration after they go live. We consider a few potential risks worth it in order to provide a better experience for our players in the long term. We welcome player feedback as we refine the rules and we’ll approach this as a work-in-progress that may require some tweaks as we gauge community sentiment.
