  1. Well, there are mods that change the game a lot. And how about playing very slowly and getting to know animals that you otherwise never use?
  2. My God, why is this not understood? It was something like 8 weeks ago that they decided to turn ARK COMPLETELY upside down and not just upgrade it. It's a new engine that they have to deal with and they have to figure out what's possible with Ark and the Enginge. The programming also takes its time, that does not go from one day to the next. They have already announced that they want to change a lot, including that the dinos find their own way. (Test programming for Ark2, so I personally suspect that they change a lot, which has already been addressed by them). And read up on how people get upset because WC does something different than previously announced. (60 dollars instead of free) That would give even more vituperative texts. So they can work in peace and not worry about what they have announced and whether they "may" change it or the players again get a heart attack and throw the game out the window.
  3. Not all! I claim for me and some of my acquaintances there definitely an exception ud here in the Forum gabs yes also a few reasonable writers. But yes a very large part rushes and nagging. Completely incomprehensible, especially when you consider that ARK is still available for players who only have older hardware. If UE5 would have been pulled on ASE, would have looked completely in the tube, because not even more single player would have been possible.
  4. Exactly I do not know how much effort WC makes, but I am very optimistic, especially since they put a lot of work even in "little things". I definitely don't expect it to be bug-free, but I love Ark even with its flaws. Yes I am NOT a console gamer, maybe that's why. I haven't seen any massive game breaking bugs yet, otherwise I wouldn't play it either. But what WC does in the background, or not, that all other readers / players but also do not know and many already claim that ASA is a flop and hardly anyone will play it satisfied. I can only start from me and my people. We are curious about ASA. I can hardly wait for Fridays and always stay up extra late just to read the Crunch, which I never did before. As for the con. Scammers will NEVER give up, they will always find loopholes. I hope for the sake of the official players that it gets better in ASA. Game balancing. Well WHO votes for the animals? WHO would ever vote for a starting animal here? Yes there are some players who would like to see starting pets or useful pets and not just evil and mean. However, WC has always allowed us to adjust VERY much ourselves. Even now, even with the hawk, I can determine for myself how long the pause is before it goes back for the bag. They also change naturally what at the animals and the like. Yes with officials this is not possible. But compare most officials with private ones. 90% of the private servers are fast, you are within a few days / weeks almost maxlevel. and as you can also read here, who cares about the little animals, they are considered useless. Almost all want to get only fast fast Rex, Giga and Co. There is the Noterun, or you stand next to a grinder to pump up the levels, or build numerous structure parts. What the small animals can and what not, know most but not at all. Yes that could have been better balanced. But honestly. WHO would have played this? I know what I'm talking about. My server is very special in that respect (due to mods AND the numerous settings) and there are so far only two people who have played like that for a long time next to me. Everyone else immediately turns on their heels and leaves. Even in PVE, people exploit bugs and opportunities wherever possible. I have experienced a lot of bad in the Ark community.... But also a lot of good. And the fact that WC has allowed me to customize the game so much is perfect for me, and that they support modding so well. If both would not be given, I would probably not play Ark anymore. That is this balancing I may change myself very very much, I have experienced something like this in NO game! For me it is not about Rex and co. It could be completely different species for all I care. I like the basic concept and all the possibilities in Ark. Yes they are only giving out small things so far, but it's like the game here. Please best to know and experience everything right away. Wait is not in it, since one rather only grumbles and nags. They will give out information, that is also confirmed, just not yet, because it is probably not yet ready to speak.
  5. These answers (Where is the gameplay and Is that all they did) they already wrote last week. Why should they write something else? The complainers only repeat themselves. Free of charge, Wc MAY not charge 60 dollars Offiserver will be shut down, that's why you can't play ASE anymore. ASA will flop ASE is dead Game breaking bugs will be fixed for ASE? These are the statements in short summary, but they don't change in any way. But they are repeated every day. All of them have already been answered. ASA costs more because they want to change the game completely. and not just upgrade to UE5. (Is very good for players who can NOT afford new hardware... otherwise they would have UE5 for free, but could not play ASE anymore). Memory will be released... for consoles they will surely think about something. At least I assume Well on the flopping, you can not give an answer, that shows the future, also whether ASE is dead will show the future Gamebreaking bugs= Well, critical bugs should still be processed, even if ASA is running. (I know some dream of a bug free ASE, but they probably still believe in Santa Claus) Why should WC now give a new answer to all the recurring questions every week? You can see what they get out of it. If they give out too early info, immediately a rope is turned to them from it, if they change nevertheless something around the play better to make. You can now read/hear about the $60 every five minutes from certain people. And I suspect that at least 60% of the people will be satisfied with ASA. If not significantly more. I can't imagine that if WC puts so much effort into reworking ASE that it will be worse than before.
  6. Jaaaa, of course I also hope for the whole thing you wrote. But didn't they somehow mention that the water will then adapt to the animals and characters and there will really be ripples, as well as the bushes bend when you walk through them? Or did I misunderstand something? There was so much speculation, now I just do not know what they have told and what not. And I ask very strongly that something like this comes. I also want my fish pond! Where you can also keep your dolphins in it, or maybe a few salmon. (For others, of course, their storage for octopus & Co.). By the way, I'm probably one of the few who still play Ark with fire. I don't care if ASA comes or not. Even if I would change to ASA then, I don't let my fun take away now. No matter how sad it is that I would then lose everything, but I have started and finished too many games. Besides, I can always go back to ASE. Things now definitely look more "realistic" than before. Especially the tree. It's like day and night. And yes I also hope that the mortar can change the view depending on the ingredients. Or there is something new for ignition powder. It would also be nice if the goods, if they are thrown on the ground look like what you throw away (Except components). But fiber, leather, beads definitely look nicer than a plain package. To all the complainers I say now times nothing. But I would be curious to know how many of them are more than happy afterwards, should ASA really become really good.
  7. You can loot the nest via the radial menu and if you have taken out the egg you can destroy the nest afterwards. But only after that! So you can not forget the egg.
  8. I have so many wishes and somehow hardly anyone seems to find them good. Nevertheless, I continue to post. Maybe it inspires WC after all. I would like it that nests / caves / breeding places for non-egg layers not always spawn in fixed places, but as the dinos on the map (in certain areas) appear, including parents and babies ... gladly several nests / caves next to each other, yes according to animal behavior. And that they come up with a lot of nice ideas, how such a nest/breeding den for each species could look like. The mod creator of The Hunted has already conjured up something great. And I think it's great that you have to loot the nests via the radial menu. (Including small search time) Such a nest can contain usable things. And each part has its own place on the radial menu. So nothing with descend nest steal and run away... but descend "egg and maybe also resources search" and then fix off through the middle, if you are not already dead by then. Some nests from The Hunted
  9. Oh so beautiful, I like the revision. I am already curious how it will continue. Whether the animals then also adapt to the ground and perhaps the riding/behavior becomes more realistic? So that the animal body goes into a sloping position when the animal climbs up a steep slope, or you don't have the fastest speed right away, but that it builds up slowly and you also notice how the animal has to struggle when it runs longer. Maybe also that it becomes more and more unwilling when the endurance is at the end. That it overcomes even small obstacles, with a jump/climb or similar. Not running freely against objects. I would celebrate the game so if it was really significantly more realistic. Not realistic in the sense that there are rexes and humans at the same time. But that you could think you almost have a real animal standing there. I'm praying for that, if that were the case I'd probably do everything I could to get the Hunted rewritten for ASA and I'd get my PC ready for ASA! No matter how long that takes. Please please please make it more realistic from everything. I also put up with a lot of bugs since I don't know a single game without it anyway. I am so impatient and excited to see what you will present to us. (Yes, I am aware that my wishes are very high and may never be implemented. But you can dream!)
  10. I would be interested to know if ASA supports VR. Not as a separate game, but where you can choose whether you want to play with mouse/keyboard, controller or VR. (Glasses and/or body movements) I hope that WC also tells something about it. I do not know myself with it, would play something like that already very gladly with glasses and if I could then still occasionally zocken with body use that would also be no disadvantage. I think that I would probably actually get that for Ark.
  11. Hmm I would just like to have it quieter, because I like it already. But that's a good idea, I didn't even know that. But the music is turned off ONLY in the main menu?
  12. Maybe, but if they can't balance it well, they should maybe make the menu music separate from the volume. It is also not possible to turn down the music during loading.
  13. I take the view that I want to play a survival game and not Teletubbis. I prefer that wild animals are stronger than my tame spoiled little animals. I am not a little girl who cries just because she died a few times. (I scold there rather like a pipe sparrow). I want to work and earn it to come forward. Only then it is fun for me. I want the thrill. I want to fight my way through, That's why I play Survival! An animal that is tame, clearly stronger, WITHOUT that I train it, there are already more than enough. I say only: Taming bonus! Why should tame animals get special skills that wild ones don't have? If I had to train these skills laboriously then it's a bit different. But Ark would have to change a lot to make this possible. There are enough suggestions, but I'm afraid that they will not be implemented. Probably you would need a PC of the future, which was probably not yet developed. For people who find it too hard, there is always the possibility to make it easier. That's what most people do. The compys don't have to become much faster, but simply more agile. Individually, or in small groups, Compys are mostly peaceful, but I don't know how they are on Vanilla, it's been too long since I had to deal with Compys without The Hunted. Yes, it's getting harder to kill them, but what's wrong with being wary of them and fleeing. A beginner dies at the latest when he runs into a raptor or dilo. Then the little dwarves don't matter either. Most players have outgrown Compys within a few hours anyway. And those who rather like to play slowly and even more comfortably, they might have more fun with the little fleas. No matter whether with the wild or the tamed.
  14. If such an effort is already made with the landscape... why should they leave out the animals. They'll even rework the character.
  15. Unfortunately, animals that are interesting for the initial game are usually not chosen. Since most players are almost leveled out within a few weeks / months. I find it a pity that starting animals never really have a chance. No matter how useful they would be.
  16. I would want to see a TLC for a lot of animals, actually all of them. The Compy could also use one. Even though they are not as big and strong as other animals, I think they are very cute and like to have them with me on the go. But most of the time they get lost in the crowd, because they are very weak, even with the group buff. At the moment they are not very fast, have very little life, hardly manage to overcome obstacles and are extremely slow swimmers. All no advantages. But small light animals are actually fast and damn agile, also the little legs are surely suitable to jump quite high. Also it would be nice if they had another buff, nothing extreme. But when you are attacked by so many little guys, it would also be nice if you lose life a little longer due to the numerous wounds, but only briefly and only around 0.2-maximum 0.5%. Maybe also depending on the group size, this buff should also only be a group thing. No single compy could trigger this buff. I guess so from 5 or 6 animals it would be appropriate. I would be happy if the compys can dodge really fast to make it harder for enemies to eat the dwarves. If they are graphically revised I have only one wish. This fast breathing/fast heartbeat should be kept, that just fits too well to them.
  17. Hello, I have another suggestion please, but will not be the last. The startup music is always very loud, I have to turn off the sound of Ark (while the mods are loading), otherwise even the neighboring city knows that I started Ark. However, if I basically turn it down in the game the game music is also quieter, but I don't want that. Please adjust the volume or allow us to turn down the startup music separately. Thanks for reading.
  18. I think that I have entered it somewhere in one of the many wish lists. I somehow always think of something that I would like to have in Ark, if possible. But it can also be that I forgot to enter it. But now it is definitely here.
  19. We will see how Asa develops. I would have liked so much, and that's what I miss the most. Whenever I look at RDO my heart bleeds that the game is so unfinished. But it would fit so perfectly to Ark. Also it would be great if you can put loot animals on your animals, or tie them to the saddle. And it would really make riding more difficult, especially when there are a lot of bad animals. And the trust to your mount must be really damn good, that you can navigate it safely through dangerous situations. Maybe we'll find out if the developers will take a look at all our ideas.
  20. There are already a lot of suggestions, in the channel, but please read them through and click if they like. However, I enter some of my wishes here anyway. At least a small part. - I would like more interaction with the animals: Petting, feeding from the hand, cleaning the animal with reactions of the animal to it. Maybe also with influence on the performance (no general increase, but rather eien deterioration, if the animal is not well). - That animals also react to external stimuli, whether they are ridden or not. E.g. becoming nervous when dangerous animals are around. Tame conspecifics, have a calming effect, if a group animal. Solitary animals also bite other tame animals and are more restless when there are too many conspecifics. - Maybe also the possibility to mate tame females with wild conspecifics, so that colors/skin markings can be transferred. (Values only by setting, if the taming level is not lower than the wild level). - Adjustable taming possibilities for single animals (something like immersive taming) - That it is NOT possible to tame all animals from the beginning, or to breed them out. - Monkeys or similar animals also collect the stones/wood and the like lying around on the ground. - I would also like that the taming bonus can be turned off. - That you could set which animals can be tamed at what age and whether the tameable animals have a level limit. So that you really have to work a lot with your animals to improve them. - Harvesting of certain raw materials via a radial menu, where the craftsmanship is crucial how much and how fast you harvest. - That you can see injuries on yourself, as well as applied Verbande. More different bandages/medicine to treat different wounds/diseases. With slow effect. - More realistic harvest amount for animals and raw materials. - Please no straw from trees. - Also small walls/roofs and the like.
  21. Yes, that is a problem... but not mine, even if I would play PVP, THAT would be out of the question for me. That's the beauty of it, to hide from others and use the environment. In PVE I do that too, at least as far as possible. And if they prefer bad graphics, then let them. Fortunately, there are more than enough players who appreciate great graphics.
  22. Oh yes... Again many wishes. Why not let the animals react nervously around predators? Depending on how "brave" the animal species is. Or give modders the possibility to add a lot without turning off other properties of the animals. I just looked into RDO again. How I would like to combine several games. How you handle your mount and how it behaves in general is beautiful there. (It's a shame that the game is mainly designed for PVP and is not developed further). I love it when the animal gets nervous and avoids possible dangers first, or goes through and even throws the player off. So you are also warned when dangers are nearby, if such a blind fish like me rides and only sees the Giga, when he almost ate me off the Equu. But the more attachment there is, the more courageous the animal becomes. If it is well cared for the health is better, but not higher than usual. If it is dirty the animal does not feel well, the stamina to be gained decreases more the longer it is dirty. The more you handle the animal the better it likes you. (No matter whether riding, stroking or feeding from the hand. So you can bind even animals that only follow udn not ridden). Even the weight is changeable with the animal. If it is fed too little for the work it does, it will lose weight. If you stuff it with food, it gets fatter. Of course everything with disadvantages. It is not about the fact that then the values of the animals increase, but existing values can sink also times, so that the achievement of the animal does not amount to 100% any more, or only remain, if one cares really well. Also, different saddles and different components offer certain increases of loss of values, or how quickly the values are consumed. Also, the animal doesn't always stay still and the very best thing, if you accidentally hit it, the horse clearly shows it doesn't like it. I got a bad kick, so that I first fell over backwards. How great would that be if our dinos would do the same. A raptor that pinches you, a rex that roars, so that everything shakes. A nervous little Sinomacrops that flies away and you are allowed to chase it. A dodo that cackles loudly and then disappears. An equu that kicks at you. A Brontio that looks at what has touched it. There are so many ways animals can react. Of course, all these things should not kill you directly... unless you are unlucky and already badly injured. But you should always think about what you do and what you don't do. In The Hunted it is implemented that if you pluck the feathers of a dodo he complains. Yes I am bad! I also torture my animals from time to time. But it is always unfavorable if you press the wrong button. I also think it would be great if animals that may have a good affection also beg. Treats are awas great, especially when you are hungry. Tying the animals, or boxes, is also a way to prevent them from running away. I love it more realistic. If one sits up, one could stroke depending upon animal that also. With a Bronto this is of course not possible. Probably that is not inserted with, because it probably consumes too much power. My secret wish... I win 50 billion in the lottery now and then I buy into Ark and have "Ark: Dying can be so beautiful" produced. Probably no one would buy that, but I'd have fun with it. Oh yes, there's so much. But I will still enthusiastically play Ark and love the game even without all that of course.
  23. Yes, but even with the flying animals a wayfinding is ingenious. What me already Argis and Dimorphs in the trees or under rock noses are stuck and thereby partly died, because they were then attacked. I also wish that the passive and flee then works better.
  24. Well, I've been on the road a lot with Gallis. Yes they are not good for defense, but they don't have to be. There are other animals that you can take with you. We have also had gallis as transporters for transport through dangerous areas. Fleeing works pretty well with them. (Whereby at the moment there are again problems with the following of most animals, unfavorable delays and so on). We have often done it in the group so, one was with Galli, if someone else what happens. Then there were a few wolves that followed and the like. Depending on what was planned. Currently I'm a lot with Moschops or horse on the road (Other animals we can ride we have not yet, because the saddles are not yet unlocked) and sometimes have a group of Dimorphs with them, or Pachys, Compys and sometimes Paras. Paras can already carry a lot. I find it so nice that the animals are so different. Mostly it's just that people always want to reach everything fast and want to be invincible. But they miss so much. I also change the animals with me by Ini. The Direbear and Dinopethicus got the battle damage reduced, but only as farm animals, the wild ones are still very strong. I will also look at the other animals what I can reduce, so that they are somewhat more balanced. I would also celebrate it if you can set it, which value how far leveled / mutated aknn. There I would also limit properly. Especially at the speed. (Running animals and not rideable flying animals such as dimorphs, because with me rideable flying animals eh there can not be leveled). With the horses it would be nice if they can move at least when riding also more closely around the curve. At least if you press an additional button.
  25. I can't help admiring the "olive tree". At the Loot, which was completely different from the old one, but I found the old one more beautiful from the appearance, which has not so reminded of eien spider. There were now directly answered questions, maybe gibts yes the possibility that this question is answered. Are the new ideas/wishes from the suggestion channel even considered for ASA? It would be so great if you could answer this. Because now there is the assumption from several sides that you do not look at all, or only picks out the messages with the most approvals.
