  1. Pretty damn tone deaf innit? Yet another reason to add to my list of why wildcard shouldn't have said they'd add the carchara. No matter the significance of the message they want to put out there's always going to be some circus show of a human being that will ignore all of that and post some variant of "WhErE cArChAr?!?!1?1 >:((("
  2. Never played it so I can't really comment on that, but I can definitely vouch for warframe. It's actually kinda neat: the now lead manager for it actively plays the game and streams it from time to time and they've done collabs with streamers like Cr1itkal and even had a spot in Death battle that lead to in game rewards. I can only imagine what wildcard could do with ark with that sort of involvement. So a community post goes up to remember the passing of another human being and the only thing you can think of is asking for a shiny new dino? Cmon guy, that's pretty scuffed.
  3. Added two maps to my cluster for a month so players can begin their ascension process for mjolnir, dusted off breeding project for baryonyx since I've been on an aquatic tame kick lately, cleared more rulebreaking bases, tamed a high level glowtail with amazing colors, lost said highlevel glowtail with amazing colors to a true clusterfvck of bad luck as a ravager, raptor, and reaper queen all decided to dogpile me and murdered it while I tried to pick it up, killed ravager and raptor in a blind rage, lured and trapped the reaper in the public trap for players to use despite also wanting to kill it in revenge, tamed a high level arthro and immediately cryo'd it to prevent another loss, went back to base to repair the tattered remains of my armor from the assault and trapping process, screamed internally with the force and fury of a dying star as I realized I was short on black pearls. Guess I'm going with riot armor till I get enough pearls for my tek suit
  4. Hazarding a guess but at the rate they're going, probably not till about fall.
  5. That and them finally fixing the pelagornis and large ferox textures would be nice. To my knowledge only one or two prominent arktubers are nonenglish. Be a bit tricky to find anyone other than them wouldn't it?
  6. Tried to settle a dispute between a player that was banned from my cluster and one of my admin team right after a long day of work and errands, felt like a jaggoff because I couldn't really lean on one side or the other since it was primarily just hearsay on both sides and neither could give me a screenshot for concrete of who was in the wrong (reminder to all unofficial admins and players, screenshot EVERYTHING when a dispute involves you), kind of just sitting here now feeling regretful since I consider both of the parties involved good people.
  7. Built an aquatic base to free up a cryfridge, committed a massacre on several smacks (not a typo, this is the actual term for a group of them weirdly enough) of jellyfish- eels too for good measure, lamented to no one in particular the fact that the ocean is sorta bland
  8. You know he's just a volunteer moderator for the forum and not an ark dev right? No offense to Joe or the others but that's like asking the janitor to change the school curriculum instead of the school district's head of the board
  9. Bred more Andrews because I got a mutation line going, devolved into a frothy rage because every baby keeps coming out female and I want at least one mutant male for seperate bloodlines, wiped the base of some jaggoff that apparently thought they were on an official server and could build around an ob to block it without repercussion, about to breed mantises
  10. Unofficials aren't as intrinsically tied to the whims of wildcard and the questionable skills of their code monkeys. Unless it's something truly game breaking a lot of issues that can happen on unofficial can be solved by the owner of the server
  11. Eh, I wouldn't bet on it. After the fustercluck that was cyberpunk I adopted a strict "no games with Hollywood celebrities in them" policy.
  12. Funny thing is the colors they have listed for the event aren't even new. They've been in the color IDs for quite a while. Usually when hearing the word "new" you'd expect a different color altogether
  13. I think most people more or less agree that ark2 will be dead in the water from the jump. Pity really, I can't imagine hiring Diesel was cheap.
  14. Conquest of a region that was already founded isn't exactly novel, nor is displacing the indigenous populace. Hell, prior to the "discovery" of the Americas the locals were murdering and evicting each other left right and center for land and religious regions. I mean central and South America alone were basically a preindustrial thunderdome. It's actually a fascinating if morbid thing to read about if you're a history buff.
  15. >your game isn't working the way it's supposed to >your game >your Well I'll be damned, didn't know VOLUNTEER forum mods have immediate insider knowledge on and control over why things don't work in the game
  16. It not being a novel idea does not then make it right to essentially steal from all of them. If a guy who's lived his entire life not hurting anyone suddenly gets a server he's paid to have up since ark's inception taken from him purely because of the place he was born in then that isn't justice, nor will it stop the war.
  17. This I'm actually inclined to agree with. One cannot willingly break a law and be surprised that punishment incurs regardless of how "arbitrary" the border may seem. Humans, as with virtually every territorial animal, have fought over imaginary lines in the sand for as long as they've been around. If anything while American treatment of those that illegally cross borders may seem harsh they're an absolute cakewalk compared to how some other countries would handle it. I invite anyone that disagrees to try walking from South Korea over to North Korea and seeing how it goes. To date only three people to my knowledge have done it and not been indefinitely detained in a cell, "disappeared", or openly rendered into chunky salsa with lead garnish. -- I feel the need to point out that while the three that successfully did this weren't harmed it was because they defected from their military service and were more or less living in a gilded cage and used as a way to try and make the North Korean government seem less monstrous.
  18. Banning someone purely for their nationality is beyond stupid. You're punishing some random guy for the actions of their country's leaders. Unless every single one of them are actively harassing your friend with anti Ukranian statements you've got nothing to stand on. As to the individuals actually doing it, report them for harassment. Trying for a blanket ban is just childish.
  19. It used to be that opinions were like arseholes and everyone had one. Now it's opinions are like arseholes after a run in with Taco Bell; like or not you're going to find out the contents of them.
  20. Wow, it's almost as if you glossed over the "in this context" bit. You know, the bit that points out that in that particular circumstance it was referring to something specific, that bit? As for the prohibition era it turned out to be an absolutely awful idea for two reasons: One, it allowed various criminal organizations that still persist today to really take off and gain power by smuggling or brewing alcohol because surprise surprise some people like being drunk. Two, droves of people severely poisoned or harmed themselves with the drinking or production of hooch that was brewed by people who did not know what the sweet blue hell they were doing and was neither prepared nor proofed properly. If similar measures are applied today I highly doubt we'll see the Abortion Mafia running some underground network of fetus snatching, but you better believe that we'll see a repeat performance of that second issue as people turn to unqualified individuals to solve their dilemma.
  21. Don't be obtuse. Prohibition in that context was the term for the banning of alcohol back in the 20s.
  22. Your personal agreements and disagreements on the matter are irrelevant, what's required here is statistical data. Shooting out an incredibly disproportionate number like that comes off as ludicrous unless you have a credible and non biased source to back it. If you really want to quibble about dealing with consequences then like it or not abortion is in fact a form of dealing with a consequence, it's simply not a way of dealing with it that matches to your particular point of view. As an aside I don't think a woman that has a run in with ol' Cosby and his special sleepy time puddin pops is going to consider the aftermath of said run in as a miracle. -- Facepalming every post I make that runs counter to your belief system doesn't invalidate what I've said. Just so you know.
  23. The thing with that though is you're trying to lump every circumstance that doesn't involve some chick getting more trains run on her than a New York railway into .1% which is pretty disingenuous. Condoms can break, birth control can fail or be missed (granted the miss is on the fault of the user if they aren't keeping track), and someone may just decide "no means no" more of a suggestion. Trying to condense all of these instances into .1% is kinda crazy.
