  1. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Extinction Wasnt on for long tonight. Hatched up 11 velonasaurs for imprinting from my new good breeding pair. It was a bit mental with the 10 minute imprint timer and I staggered the hatching so it was a case of constantly checking for imprints for the entire 1hr maturation. Got 9 of them 100% imprinted but 2 I miss timed and got 75%. Thankfully I even managed to get a few with colours that appeal to me. Got 2 dark blue or purple and green, and a single completely green, going to use those as personal mounts. Now I just need to work on the best way to level them. Also is it just me or does the velonasaurs humming sound like a ringtone for an old phone... was driving me up the wall for the entire raise.....
  2. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok and Extinction Now that my Sanctuary base and breeding area in the forest are all kitted out and ready to go it was time for a spot of breeding. Spent most of today AFKing in my kibble barn on Rag while I did some paper work, to get some titanoboa eggs for the extraordinary augmented kibble for extinction. Got 3 eggs for my effort.. but now I have all but savaroot for the imprinting, the savaroot crop failed for some reason. On Exctinction at my sunken forest base I bred velonasaur and hyaenadons. Managed to get all the good stats from the wild tamed velonasaurs into a breeding pair so now I can start raising for imprinting. Got some of the next gen eggs already to go in the fridge. Raised up 12 hyaenadons, took forever to get enough females, had to start culling the males. Ended up with 7 males and 5 females. Got most of them fully imprinted apart from a few which only got 75%, but I am not to fussed. Tek transmitted 7 of the raise to my Sanctuary base and took them out for a spin with the theri. Got my doubts how well they will fair when it gets tough but they did ok. Hopefully the pack will help with some easier OSDs, certainly not going to cope with the harder ones lol. I am basically hoping the heal mechanic carrys them through the worst of thd hoards. But thats for the future lol.
  3. Hope it helps Before extinction bred Aberrant stuff. Mostly glowpets. Got a good pair of shinehorns and glowtails, also ok pair of bulbdogs but not a big fan. Still need to sort out featherlights. Tried breeding aberant megalos for mutations but collecting the mass amount of eggs put me off it. Since extinction release, mostly stuff for that. Been breeding theris, gigas and hyaenadons. Got a pair of velonasaurs ready to go now that my extinction breeding setup is ready to go. Just need to sort of the extinction kibble list. Want to get in on the other Extinction creatures.
  4. I recommend having a big hole in the floor where you grow your rexes. All my breeding barns have spaces in the middle of the building where there isn't any foundations which avoids having to break open the floors to get creatures out after ever maturation. Not sure what to suggest about the walls, I guess its a small build ?
  5. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok and Extinction. Had to put Ark on the backburner for a bit, just had to have a break. For a couple of days I took advantage of the new cryopods and started giga breeding on Ragnarok. Did the 6hr maturation period over about 2 to 3 nights. Hatched up a bunch from the wild tames and got a male and a female with all the good stats. Let them grow up in my breeding barn while playing other games. Feeding wasnt really an issue with the server rates and I kept them cryoed when I wasnt online. Loving the pokeballs. Now that the two new breeders are grown up all I need to do is wait for the imprinting timer bug with cryopods to be fixed so I can raise imprinted gigas, I am not playing for 6hrs straight imprinting ever 10 minutes, just no... Last night was spent gathering resources and crafting structures on Rag for a new outpost on Extinction in the Sanctuary. I like my setup in the sunken forest but I hate the 10/15 minute communte out of the forest to get anywhere. The forest shall remain as my main base of operations or at the very least my breeding outpost considering how safe it is, and I shall link the two outposts with a tek transmitter. Obviously a telephorter would be better but I dont fancy the cost of resources for two teleporters, two tek genys and the cost of running them. Tonight I started the new build on Extinction. Took the theris out of the forest and travelled to the city and got my structures out of a terminal. Killed about 3 or 4 corrupted reaper kings just outside the forest, it gets me everytime, they seem to be so common. Started building right next to my started shack I had buit in the Sanctuary. I went with a modified version of my standard breeding barn. Should give more than enough space to keep dinos stored and safe, as well as areas for crafting and storage. Still need to decide on the layout, such as where the crafting area should be and how to organise dino storage, but structually the builds finished, just need to furnish the place.
  6. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok and Extinction Started off the day finishing off raising the hyaenadon I started last night on Ragnarok. Also raised up some glowtails and shinehorns to transfer over to Extinction. While I waited for them to finish maturing I went on the hunt for a hyaenadon meatpack bp out of green drops. Didnt have any luck there but I ran into a 135 male giga in the highlands so just had to tame it. Couldnt beleive my luck after taming the 135 female yesterday. So gathered my gear together and traped, tamed it and got it back to base. It blows the stats of the one I tamed last night which only had about 150% melee. This bad boy has 205% melee, cant wait to raise one with that and get a decent imprint on it. Transfered the hyaenas and light buddies across to Extinction. Hoped onto Extinction. Went on the hunt for high level velonasaurs in the desert dome with my theri team. Finally found a 145 male and just started to put a trap down when BAM disconnect and about a 10 minute roll back of the server. Logged back on and thankfully found the 145 male again. Trapped it and downed it without any issues. Once I tamed it I went back on the hunt for a female. Eventually found a 145 female and tamed that up too. On the way back to base, I stopped off via a terminal to transfer the stuff across from Ragnarok. Got ambushed by 3 corrupted repears near the forest entrance but the theris took care of them. Went out on the hunt for gasbags. Not much luck. Ran into a level 5 corrupted giga and decided to hell with it let's put the 3 theris to the test. Was a bit hairy lost about 5k out of 15k health on the theris but we took the giga down, wouldnt want to try a higher level lol. After an age, finally found a 120 female gasbag and settled for that. Attempted to lure it into a trap but not luck couldnt agro it so I just chased it till I knocked it out by the city walls. About half way through the 20 min tame I got caught in a meteor shower. Thankfully me, my theris and the out cold gasbag were not hit but there was a few close calls, I am so glad the gasbag went down next to the city, the shield and spires took the brunt of the meteors. Tamed the gasbag and got it home safely.
  7. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok Decided to go for the 135 giga I saw wandering around the desert a few days ago. So got together a bunch of tranqs and the nessesary metal dino gates and bear traps. Got out to the desert and the giga was thankfully still there ( a 135 female) so I set the trap and lured it in successfully trapping it. Downed it and tamed it without any problems. Came out with 150% melee which I guess is ok, I dont normally deal with gigas. I pokéballed it up (I love these things) and got it back to base without the need of finding a drop/obelisk. I also decided to keep it in cryo storage to keep it from starving, not that its too much of an issue with the tamed dino starve rates on the server. All I need now is a good male to breed it with, want to try these out on Extinction. Bred up the hyaenadons I tamed last night aiming for a breeding pair with the good stats and a variation of colours between the two if possible. Got a male with all the good stats and matured it up. Eventually got a good female with the stats and different colours but the time I got it I couldnt be bothered waiting for it to grow up so I get to try out babies in stasis with the cryofridge. Its only an hour maturation time but I dont trust ORP and babies.
  8. They are great tames Cant wait to breed up a pack. Used to use them ages ago to clear out the Hard swamp cave on the Island.
  9. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok With the console update dropping and with my rubbish download speeds, I didnt get to play for as long as I wanted to so instead of Extinction I went on to Ragnarok to tame some Hyaenadons. I want to try out hyaenadons on Extinction and see how they fair in the wastelands and maybe even in the OSDs. Decided it would save a heck of alot of time by searching on Ragnarok. I dont have a meatpack bp at all but I will make do with the primitive. Not expecting to acheive much, just a bit of fun. Got a 150 female in the first pack I find right outside my base . Its an ugly event coloued one but its a 150 so I got it into the taming pen. Took me ages to work out a way of taming it, couldnt stop spooking it. Eventually forced it into a small elevevated 1x1 in my pen and petted through a hatch frame, worked a treat. The male took a lot of searching in the desert areas. Eventually settled on a 130 male, so took it back to base and tamed it up.
  10. Its great fun, started from scratch and built myself up, aside from transferring some goodies such as kibble. Its reasonably safe in the City (asside from.the annoyance of the enforcers et al.) And in the sunken forest. The real nastys are confined (usually*) in the wastelands.
  11. Its absolutely wild ! Am loving it atm, everything just wants to murder you lol. They were both level 20s so shredded them. Am more scared about the corrupted gigas. Word on the street is that they travel in packs haha
  12. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Extinction Tonight was the night of the theris. Finished off building the breeding barn, but not able to install the electrics yet. Threw down a mass of theri eggs from the two wilds I tamed up last night. Managed to hatch a male and a female with all the good stats, these will be my breeding pair now. Kept a group of some of the better theris that didnt quiet make the cut for breeders, these shall be my fighting theris, and I culled the rest. Managed to get a half decent imprints onto one of the theris, about 60%. Then had some fun. Took a team of three theris up to the wastelands for a bit of exploring, makes such a nice change from being scared on my iguanodon. I shredded everything I could see to level up. Was surprised to run into two corrupted reaper kings near the forest entrances, I mean I knew they were on the map but I was still surprised. I must have ran into a OSD mob at one point, that was alot of corrupted paracers, spinos and rexes but I couldnt see any sign of a drop or maybe they just spawn like that. I nearly had a heart attack when I spotted a corrupted giga in the area I was in just minutes previously. Must have just spawned in, I had confidence in my theris but not that much lol. Made a retreat back to base. Think tommorows plan now that I can hold my own in the wastelands is to visit one of the other domes, and tame up an owl or velonasaur. Maybe even go for a gasbag for transporting resources about.
  13. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Extinction Started of the day by building a stone taming raft to my usual design. The sunken forest is ideal for raft taming, the waterway is fantastic ! Crafted up a bunch of narcotics and then went on the hunt for high level theris. I knew of a few dotted around the sunken forest. I went for the 140 female on the opposite shore from my base, got it into the taming raft, downed it and kibble tamed it. Once the female tamed up I went back on the hunt for the other two high level theris I knew of. The next one was a 145 female but I ignored that, probably should have tamed that one instead of the 140 but never mind. Thankfully the other 145 I knew of was still near the entrance to the forest and to my relief was a male, and so I docked the taming raft as close as I could and kited the theri to the raft and knocked it out and kibble tamed it. Got that one back to base. All I need to do now is to breed up some eggs and I have myself a good combat mount that isnt an iguanodon. Might be able to start traversing the wastelands now a bit more confidently, maybe lol. Couldnt beleive my luck on finding a high level breeding pair of theris, its normally a nightmare on the official maps, thought it would take ages and not a single night. Finished building the main building of thr base and fully furnished it out apart from the electrics, that needs a little more work but I now have a fabricator so alls good there. I got down the foundations on the attached breeding barn to the base, now all I need to do is get the walls and roofs down and work on the electrics there too.
  14. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Extinction Decided it was time to move to the sunken forest. I crafted up a scout and gathered some basic supplies and got on my iguanodon and travelled to green ob. Sent out a scout to travel ahead and path out a way across the wastelands to the forest entrance. Once I got a rough idea I made a bee line for the entrance. Apart from a run in with a corupted trike, I made it to the forest ramp with out a hitch. Explored the forest chamber interior and settled in a nice safe area on the lower levels, an island surrounded by beaver dams and trees. Got down a rough shack. Built a small trap and trapped a beaver and berry tamed it. To my disgust I had forgotten how how the beaver saddle engram was and I was 20 levels of learning it. So I decided to transfer across a beaver saddle from the Ragnarok server aswell as a handfull of cryopods and some dilo kibble, but now I had to get to a city terminal on the Extinction map. Made it back to the city, I know theres a terminal near the forest entrance but I wasnt sure where it was and its to dangerous in the wastelands ti hang around. Download my supplies from a terminal. Stopped of at green ob and tamed up a doed, megaloceros and an anky, and pokeballed them up. Thats me got the basic resource gathering dinos now, even if they are lowish level. How I made it across the wastelands and back to the sunken forest on the iguanodon I dont know. I got caught by a corrupted chali with its poop throw and had a wee skirmish with it and a few other corrupted creatures. I managed to break free from it and ran over the ridgeline right into a cloaked wild rock drake (I am assume it was a corrupted one). It of course aggroed onto me. Somehow I managed to out run the drake on my iguanodon (just how lol ?) And made it back to base. Went out and tamed a few gachas. Managed to even get a high level female and male, might try breeding at some point and in all I have 2 pairs teamed up for the mate boost. Getting a nice supply of resources such as silica pears and oil with them. Got enough silk as well for my favourite desert cloth armour set. Got some nice loot such as mc riot peices too lol. Started to upgrading the small shack into a larger build, got the stone foundations down and the supporting walls before calling it a night. Loving Ark at the moment with this new map, having an absolute blast !
  15. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Extinction Day 2 Not much happened tonight. I just spent most of the night exploring the sanctuary on iguanodon back. Its like a maze and I swear its tapejara heavan lol. Was really looking for the entrance to the sunken forest but a quick google search showed this was out into the wastelands. I had a quick foray to look for it but ended up being chased by thylas, raptors and corupted pteras so I made a quick retreat back to the sanctuary. Logged onto single player to explore the way to the forest and to check out if a move is worth it. Only thing putting me off is the lack of doed spawns there but the theris may make up for it not to mention the gachas. I just need to somehow make it to the forest on my iguanodon without getting mauled by everything in the wastelands.
  16. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Extinction. Day 1 Its been a while since I had been on the cluster, I had to take a break. Was finally able to get onto the xbox and begin playing Extinction. Decided to go with a fresh new character, was tempted to transfer across my Aberation character but I decided not to risk a character transfer. For the moment I am not going to transfer accross creatures and resources, I want to get the full experience on Extinction. Maybe later on once I get much more established. Spawned into the Central Sanctuary and basically spent the entire night leveling. First death was to ants but in my defense I wasnt paying attention to Ark lol. The main goal being aiming to get to the metal tools. So got down my starter 2x2 in a nice secluded area and got it furnished with a bed and boxes. Upgraded to wood to help levelling. Finally got to metal tools and got some forges down, and crafted up some metal tools and a couple of crossbows. Tamed a level 10 trike to help with narcoberrys. Had to kill myself when a scout tagged me when I was attacking a higher level trike. Unfortunately I couldnt knock the higher level out, ran out of tranqs as it ran for it. Nearly peed myself when the first wave of meteors began hitting the sanctuary shield. Took me waaaayyy to long to look up and realise what the banging noises where lol. Then went exploring the area on foot. Made it to green ob, its a fantastic area would be great to set up a base here but I have other ideas. Going to aim to get down to the sunken forest somehow, after chatting to people on the server about it I think that will become my current goal. Downed a level 90 iguanodon and tamed it up. Love iguanodons, such a good early game scout dino. Called it a night. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok Also I hoped on to Ragnarok in the morning earlier in the day. I just had to check out these cryopods. So I crafted up a few cryofridges and an absolute ton of crypods. Installed one of the fridges in my breeding barn and the other into my main build. Going to put most of my breeders into the one in the breeding barn and a selection of other dinos such as spare rock drakes etc into the other fridge. Love how you can organise the pods into different folders in the fridges. Its going to help clear up the mess of my various dino barns lol. I love the pods ! Going to be such a good improvement to QoL.
  17. Lol I am getting more and more worried about the DLC hitting. Hopefully the problem is fixed or isnt ported across to consoles.
  18. Tell me about it, would love for it not to have been delayed. I think itll be Wednesday before I get on, assuming a massive download time. Lay-off doesnt sound good....
  19. If you ever need rock drake eggs just let me know Been a while since I was on the server (burned out a bit) but I do trench runs for fun so would so wont mind jumping back on for the giggles. Havent decided yet. Probably going to jump on fresh to get the full DLC experience, with intensions of transfer of stuff later on.
  20. What makes you think people have already ascended ? Surely not on official servers ?
  21. Xbox - Single Player - The Island Started of by marking out the final dimensions for my buildings out of thatch foundations. Was tricky to get it right, the island doesnt really lend itself to nice large flat areas like Ragnarok. Eventually worked out the loactions for my main building, stables and breeding barn. Decided it was time to go hunt for an anky. On my way to the nearest anky spawn, I remebered about the event coloured thyla I spotted ages ago, a nice blue level 55, would be good later on for breeding into higher level thyas. So I scooped her up and managed to get it to my taming raft without it murdering my argy. Knocked it out and tamed it up. Went back on the anky hunt. Ended up at herb island, and after a bit of a search I found a level 125 so I tamed it up and got it back to base. Started the resource gathering back at base to start building. Took the liberty of spawning in a set of stone blueprints and a few wooden blueprints so I could mass produce things like stone walls and foundations in a smity (would love a vault but havent got one yet), saved so much time. Got the stone foundations down for all three buildings and finished the main build and stables. Probably wont do the breeding barn quiet yet. I think the next project is to make a metal outpost on obsidian mountain and then a snow iceberg outpost for oil. Then at somepoint I need to make a start on water tames for silica pearls and for that I might make a water pen at herb island.
  22. Think I downloaded it from the Official Ark twitter, they made it their banner. Not sure where to get a high quality one mind you. Only links I found I am certainly not clicking.
  23. Thank you Glad to join the 1k club. Do we get any brownie points or a gold star ?
  24. Xbox - Single Player - The Island Now that I had an argent I went on the hunt for a doed for stone gathering. Skirted the edges of the redwoods, didnt dare go into the redwoods for fear a thyla would get me, I watched one nail a ptera out the air almost as a warning lol. Found a few low level doeds but none high enough to tame. Eventually struck gold at the volcano, a nice blue event level 150. Its nice to find a max level creature to tame on the island, they are so rare here, Ragnarok has deffinatly spoiled me with all the high levels. So I extracted the doed from the scorpions attacking it and took it back to my taming raft to tame up. Knocked it out and left it to berry tame. While I waited for the doed to tame up went back out on the argy, this time for a megaloceros for thatch harvesting. Again skirted the redwood and eventually found a level 60 male, so I picked it up and took it back to base. Bolad it and downed it right next to my base, and tamed it. Saddled both my newly tamed doed and deer. Began to mark out the plan for my buildings. My main building is small enough to fit where my current small shack is. The breeding barn and dino storage will take alot more careful planning, its going to be interesting trying to site enough foundations in an area large enough for the size of buildings I want. Again Ragnarok has spoiled me with nice large open flat areas, the island is less forgiving in this regard.
