  1. I got two XSX on release day. Don’t hate me. Took two hours of button mashing on 4 sites at 2am.
  2. Sony doesn’t have an ounce of control over what WildCard does with their game.
  3. Well I'm not a torch holder for the company, never have been. I love the game and I enjoy working with WC and offering my time to help with the forum. I understand software development and I understand a lot of what and why they do things. But this is business. Bad business. I speak up when I smell something. If you go back far enough you can catch me bitching about Scorched Earth before I was a mod.
  4. Nothing spoken about Ark (the game) from a dev on Twitter since the crunch. I don't monitor Discord (bleh), so I can't help there.
  5. I've stopped playing. What's the point? It's all blasted in 4-5 months.
  6. I simply don't trust a thing they say anymore. Starting back with the release of paid Scorched Earth while the game was still broken as hell in Early Access and again when they lied about how they would handle what ended up becoming legacy servers. Fool me once, fool me twice. Never again. If I get released as a mod, it shouldn't surprise anyone at this point. We are told three things when we join up. Don't break the NDA, don't break forum rules, and we are allowed to speak our mind as any other user here. We'll see if that last part holds true. EDIT: Over the years I've worked with a lot of great people here on the site and many WildCard staff members. A handful of mods have been hired by WC. These people are all awesome. They are also not the people making these decisions.
  7. Nothing from Ark: SE will carry over or transfer to Ark: A. Unless something changes.
  8. You can. However, there will be no new content, nor will there be any more bug fixes. It's as-is as they say.
  9. Yessir. I did that after the last time they shutdown (legacy) servers. You setup both of your servers and create a cluster including them both. Then you can jump back and forth.
  10. It might be because Snail Inc is in trouble: https://www.aaii.com/investingideas/article/24787-is-snail-inc-snal-stock-a-good-investment https://www.pocketgamer.biz/news/80852/voxpop-games-brings-on-studio-wildcard-founder/
  11. Installed it yesterday. Haven't played yet. Looking forward to it.
  12. Simple. When they take down the servers, they provide the save file for you (and anyone else, let's look at your server mates' toys) to download and use. You can use that file with private servers, dedicated host or single player. You just import the save. The save contains everything on that map that you would see right now playing the game. You can go steal all your buddies stuff. Offline raid and so on. The end effect is you just become an admin for the map. All by your lonesome. Unless you have other people join.
  13. Nope. Unless something changes. If you want to play ASA, you pay for it and Ark 2. No matter what. Then you get to buy the expansion packs for the maps. Then you get to buy the new paid-for mods.
  14. I mean don’t pay for an Ark 2/ASA bundle. As far as Ark 1 going away, it’s inevitable. It’s an old game it was going to end at some point. People need to come to terms with that.
  15. Petitions are worth nothing. There are petitions with millions of signatures... that changed nothing. They are little better than feel-good signaling.
  16. It's also not that simple. More than half of Ark is custom C++ code. It's not just using the UE4 framework. So I direct simple port like you are suggesting isn't on the table.
  17. They won't. You can't play ASA on the Xbox One. Only X/S.
  18. You'll have to ask the people managing that game. It's not WildCard it's these guys: https://grovestreetgames.com
  19. Anything older than the Xbox X/S, PS5 and a PC will not be able to play ASA.
