change it so honey it the main ingredient to make the (mead) beer and we add the berry's to add a buff to it

tinto add a passive regen like a healing brew but less affective

amber ones boost speed 

stims will passive drain your water and torp

narcs will let you last longer underwater and lower the bleed lost by half

mejo fills your food and keeps you warmer

azul keeps you cool and fills your water 

 

so we can think of them as a lesser too the stews and brews in the game while providing a less strong damage resistance

I do like the variety a little, but the addition of honey adds an unnecessary layer of work to Chalico taming. I know most people don't tame a Chalico at pretty much any point, but this would make it even rarer to see.

you can still get the base beer with just honey, the berry's are just an extra step you can take to add a twist
