  1. Would help much anyways unless the babies do as much damage as adults, they'll be far too weak for this to really be a feature of any note.
  2. A tank meta that would put Stegos to shame, not really something I'd advocate for, especially once Dinopithecus come back.
  3. My one problem with this is that it completely removes the need for other shoulder pets that are on the map, namely the Vulture. The level thing is fine, no complaints there, but heat resistance is much more befitting of the Vulture, who could use its wings to shade you, and is often found in the dunes, the hottest parts of the map. The Jerboa was a popular shoulder mount for obvious reasons in ASE, but there should be a little more nuance to the choice come ASA

    Troodon

The cost of taming the definitely needs rethinking, it shouldn't take 25 level 199 Rock Drakes to potentially tame. A small game carnivore shouldn't use Giganotosaurus and Carchars as its "kibble".
  5. That's nice, but mods get things done, Wildcard more often than not, doesn't.
  6. Perhaps for standard attacks, though I'm not confident in this game's ability when it comes to stuff like this. If the system hasn't updated yet, then some creatures will likely have problems with how their attacks operate. I know in ASE, if you attacked too fast with the Stego, the animation would play but no damage would be done. It'd be nice, but I limit my expectations as to what Wildcard can actually pull off.
  7. Yes, I fail to see how that justifies meat types specific to one or two creatures. Fish Meat is dropped by 10 species, four of which are some of the must abundant species in the game. Raw Meat is dropped by everything else aside from the Ovis.
  8. Sarcosuchus was much more suited to eating fish, changing its preference to simply fish meat works better, and that's already an existing food type. Again, this is why the kibble system was simplified. It's not an approachable system to have thirty different kinds of meats, especially when they only come from two or three creatures.
  9. Not the issue. Yeah, it probably doesn't make sense, but neither does every creature dropping the same kind of Hide, or even different insects dropping the same kind of Chitin because it'll be different thicknesses and compositions. Lore-wise they obviously don't, but gameplay-wise its better that they do. Like you said, there's only two amphibians in the game, do they really need a unique meat type?
  10. Unfortunately, this is counterproductive to the not so distant Kibble Rework, where specialized wants were put aside in favor of a more generalized and easy to understand system. Having whole meat types only be dropped by one or two creatures just muddies the waters of gameplay and makes it all less cohesive.
  11. That's the point. The Equus isn't quite as fast as these mounts, but it has the stats and abilities to handle itself in situations where the others can't. Female Megaloceros or Gallimimus will basically never win a fight by themselves, and the Iguanodon struggles but can manage, whereas Equus can pretty handily manage a majority of fights. That's without mentioning its got good stats, a KO kick that can end fights early and be used as a tame assistant, and usefulness as a mobile crafting station. The only situation I can ever really see an Equus speed buff being necessary is on Aberration because Aberrant Raptors still have that stupid pounce attack.
  12. Holding wolves in comparison to Shadowmanes is terrible for balance. I guess the Rex should be allowed more things because the Giga and Carchar are stronger? Or maybe the Thyla needs a buff because Rock Drakes are better?
  13. Here's some quick ones. Updated gliding mechanics. At the end of ASE, the Drake was super clunky and dated compared to the Maewing. Giving it a smoother glide with less weight to it would really increase the Drakes enjoyability factor, and with the directional jump, it'd really allow the Drake to stay viable as a travel mount. Climbing works fine in my experience, but sometimes you go in awkward directions when jumping off a wall. As for new abilities, I think an addition to its ability to track Reapers would be nice. It alerts to wild and enemy Reapers, but should either ping them or maybe receive a buff called Alert, increasing their speed or something to help the either win or escape the coming fight. A Charge Attack wouldn't go unnoticed either. For a species that apparently naturally opposes Reapers and Nameless, Drakes really have nothing to truly combat them. Having a Charge Resource Pool that they can either create their own Charge aura with or use focused attacks to deal damage and debuff creatures would really help sell them as Reaper Rivals. Maybe beams that are focused out of their feathers? Or the classic breath attack.
  14. The only creatures that really fit that bill of being large but no titanic are the Bronto, Giga, Carchar, and Megachelon (And probably the Dreadnoughtus when they add it), so I'm really not sure how useful this would really be. They take up an incredible amount of teleporter space, and without a really good line, I'd personally take 2 150 Rexes over a single 150 Giga, just because of how their stats work. This is without mentioning the Bronto and Megachelon really wouldn't be good in any fight, and the Dreadnoughtus will be native to a map that doesn't need teleporters for the boss fights.
  15. Absolutely not. There's a reason wolves don't have armor in the first place. Even before their TLC, the devs recognized they'd be too strong with armor. Purlovia in comparison, are only notable for being an annoyance in the wild.
  16. On the flip side, they're much more equipped to handle a pack of Raptors than other terrestrial transport mounts like the Female Megaloceros, Iguanodon, or the Gallimimus. This is without mentioning the other useful features it has. The Equus doesn't need it all.
  17. Do you have the housing effect? Weather effects only disappear when you have it, so if your base isn't giving it for some reason that could be the issue. Otherwise I entirely agree.
  18. Problem is, the Arks were made to test survivors, but many of the creatures are far less effective at surviving than their real life counterparts would be. It really works against the believability of the lore and gameplay.
  19. This was never an issue people brought up when the Tek Skiff did the same thing... Literally just apply this change to enemy dinos and its fine, like I said, the Rhynio is clear progression past using an Argy. This is more reflecting on the uselessness of the Troodon, and really has nothing to do with the Rhynio. Troodon is also pretty easy to work around with baby dinos, Rhynio far less so.
  20. These gotta be the dumbest complaints ever. It's literally progression, is every dino supposed to be good at one thing? Because that's how we get poop like the Giga, which is literally only used for its high damage and is useless in every other regard. Rhynio is probably the hardest creature to tame right now, and even once all the DLC creatures come out, it'll still be top 5 because you need 1. Good Dinos 2. To find a high level Rhynio with a good stat role 3. Successfully get that dino impregnated 4. Give that dino all its random cravings 5. Actually get the Rhynio to be born without the parent dying (Apparently some dinos are dying before the baby is born) and 6. Hopefully get all the stats you want when the baby is born. It's the quintessential end-game tame, you literally need other end-game dinos to get a good one. Sorry, but all that deserves to be a cut above other creatures. Maybe rather than nerf the Rhynio, recognize the Ptera and Argy are early-midgame tames, the Quetz has needed help for years, its high stats only come in when you put the effort in to get them, multiple attacks isn't really a balance issue, walking on water really isn't either, and while it may be a bit fast underwater, it has nothing on underwater tames that'll smoke it for being in their zone.
  21. Rhyniognatha are pretty balanced out by the fact that you need super lines to get mutation stats on them, they don't really need their own breeding.
  22. Tusos have always had this problem in my experience, not likely to seem much change.
  23. Mammoths can use their trunk to pick up some creatures
  24. Interesting as this idea is, I do think it should be balanced a bit. I think the biggest thing is adding a cooldown between uses. That way you can't skim the map for a high level of every species. You select the species you want, activate the machine, and it'll stay locked to displaying information for that species until the cooldown wears off. Creatures should also probably be highlighted in a certain zone on a map as opposed to giving exact coordinates, or you should need to pair the console with a handheld device that acts like a tracker of sorts, helping you pinpoint the location of the creature. This makes this feature a little more interactive and stops people from simply "fly here fly there get every single high level on the server". Also, only like one per tribe or something. I know people will get around this limitation, but having a console for every species should be discouraged.
