Counterpoint. It's exactly how WildCard designed their game to be played. Hence, no changes there.

Since they did add a PvE mode, this argument is not valid for these issues in PvE.
It is also a sign of very weak management: Either choose to add the mode and give it full support or just don't add it. Same as the choice to bring the game to consoles: Support a fitting UI or just don't do it.

We all care enough about this game to spend our time on it and take the many imperfections for what they are. But accepting trolling and lazy management is not helping to improve it. I realy hope WC can show us that we, the users with good intentions, do mean something to them.

Counter-counterpoint. Actually they designed the game to be played exclusively as PvP, they didn't design it to be played in PvE at all.

They only grudgingly introduced PvE after they realized they would make a lot more money with a PvE mode. That's understandable, they're a business after all. However, when a game designer fails to understand what players want from their PvE experience it's a given that they're going to execute that PvE experience with flaws, probably significant ones. WildCard has never grasped what the vast majority of their players want from PvE.

The whole point of PvE, from the point of view of the great majority of their PvE player base, is that they want to play only against the environment and not have to worry at all about being griefed by other players, that's why they choose PvE in the first place.

People play ARK (or any game) in spite of its failings, not because of them, and as far as the great majority of their PvE customers are concerned this is a failing in ARK. What WildCard chose to do with PvE is contrary to what nearly every non-griefer in the game wants from their PvE experience. That's not a design, it's a failure of understanding and execution.

Poor customer service is poor customer service, no matter what someone has "designed".
