Jeholopterus the Flying Backpack Creature
Tahlavos17 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Hello, I've suggested this creature before and will continue to do so since it is a viable option for a replacement for the Sinomacrops. I think adding this creature to Valguero might be useful since we would be waiting a long time for Lost Island. This Creature will be a passive tame where your going to need Chitin, Raw Fish, Raw Prime Fish or Regular Kibble to tame the Jeholopterus. Once tamed the and on the back of a Survivor the Jeholopterus will act not only an early jetpack, wingsuit, or parachute, but also a deterrent for not only bugs, but up to medium sized creatures to watch out for when traversing the ARKs. Wild Jeholopterus will attack the player if they've got either an Ichtyornis on their shoulder or any Chitin Armor. I think this would be a viable tame for anyone to tame up when traveling across Valguero or to transfer over to any of the other ARKs. The Jeholopterus was a real creature that lived 164.7 - 161.2 Million Years Ago in a vast areas from North Korea, Mongolia, and China.- 1 reply

Nanopithecus browni (helps anky swing when gathering)
Gmez posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
brief history "was about the size of a cottontail rabbit, the same size as a modern talapoin monkey, the smallest living Old World monkey species that weighs only 2 to 3 pounds" abilities: attach it to your shoulder along for stone/metal/obsidian runs. As you fly on your argie, the nano will attach itself to the anky to assist in automatic swings for solo gathers. Making this a huge timer saver and assist. -
NECTOCARIS PTERYX ( Best Partner in Ark)
Abaddon23 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
I finde a old post from the Fjördur creature submission from MoGuZ and would post it here Wild: This creature comes from an Ark that at some point for unknown reasons exploded launching fragments in the form of comets into the different biomes in a kind of panspermia (the theory that very small organisms or chemicals that begin life can be found everywhere in the universe and that they made life on earth begin) from these remains evolved the Nectocaris Pteryx an extremely intelligent cephalopod that uses other less developed organisms to survive and be able to get out of the water using its most special ability "Elemental Symbiosis" normally lives in the deepest darkness of the ocean, it is lonely, extremely cunning and almost invisible thanks to its optical camouflage. How to tame? He is passive, if you can see him first, if he sees you he will use his camouflage and walk away leaving a small luminous trail that soon disappears, the problem is that he loves to call (pheromones) his older relatives (Tusoteuthis) to help him, eat Black pearl soup in large quantity so go well prepared. Tamed: As it completely needs its wearer to survive it will do whatever it takes to protect it, it will become an extension of its user and will grant it the same abilities that it took so long to evolve. It's a friendship for (Symbiosis) everyone wins. Abilities: Body Grip: They take their user by the back, arms and legs, turning their tentacles into an extension with up to 8 times more force than a human. Elemental Symbiosis: It feeds on the health, oxygen and water of the user to the point of leaving him unconscious. This is how Nectocaris survives. Elemental Camouflage: It uses the user's fluids and its own to generate a biscous substance that covers them completely, makes them invisible for short periods of time at a high cost of health and vital fluids, also considerably lowers the aggressiveness of nearby animals. Turbine Propulsion: It uses its 4 turbines to move underwater at high speeds, if it does not have more oxygen it consumes the diving tank or the air from the user's lungs. Bioluminescence: In the dark it glows with soft light in color of its pigmentation (it is only light, it does not work to remove nameless) Extra Lung: Oxygen can be stored inside the Nectocaris, but with the turbines off. Tools use : There is not much to say, he is very skilled, he can use almost anything to troubleshoot, scale, cut, launch, whip and much more. Reproduction: The NECTOCARIS are all hemaphrodites, so you only need water, love and care. Their young are first gelatinous eggs and then small cephalopods that are very fragile indeed. -
Caryosyntrips: the harvesting radiodont
KingRiley posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Wild: Caryosyntrips can be seen by the shores of the great lake searching for pearls and trilobites to consume. These radiodonts are normally solitary, but can be seen in groups and are somewhat curious, following survivors in their underwater travels. Domesticated: When tamed, Caryosyntrips make for amazing harvesters, being able to gather resources from living creatures without detection and being able to Crack open trilobites for excess amounts of pearls. While they are small for ocean fauna, they end up being a wonderful tame, especially with the ability to glide on the water surface and even flop on land. Taming: To tame a Caryosyntrips, ypu simply drop pearls and while it eats the pearls, feed it meat to tame, with the amount of pearls dropped contributing how long it's distracted. Saddle level: Level 36 Abilities: Male Caryosyntrips are small shoulder pets that when picked up, similar to Cosmo, can act as a portable mining drill for chitin and hide while females are rideable and have multiple harvesting styles, being Crack, Shear, and Drill styles. Crack style cracks opens trilobites and sea scorpions to gather chitin, Silica Pearls, and Black Pearls. Shear style allows you to rip chunks of flesh from a target while avoiding detection. This includes Hide, Anglergel, Raw Meat, Raw Prime Meat, Raw Fish Meat, and Raw Prime Fish Meat. Drill style allows it to Drill into rocks, allowing it to gather Oil and Metal. When the males are equipped for mining use, it gives a 50% weight reduction to organic materials from organic resources such as Hide, Meat, and Anglergel and a 75% weight reduction on inorganic materials such as Oil, Metal, and Pearls. The females also have the same reductions. Attacks: Left Click is a simple bite attack, works with both the mount version and shoulder pet version, with the shoulder pet version being able to harvest resources. Right Click is a secondary attack that depending on the style, either grabs and cracks open a trilobite or sea scorpion, shears flesh and hide off a large target, or does a drill spin. C is a cosmetic roar and A when on the surface of the water, allows it to jump out of the water and holding A allows it to glide on the water surface and when it goes on land, it has the ability to flop on shore and even jump and can even flop on land. If there's anything I can do to improve the idea, please let me know so I can improve on the idea. Artwork is by the wonderful BluePaladin96 on Discord, I recommend him once he opens up his commissions.-

Rhamphorhynchus : the living military drone
Evita posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Species : Rhamphorhynchus Muensteri Time : Upper Jurassic Diet : Piscivorous Temperament : Curious Presentation : As usefull as it sounds let me introduce you the Rhamphorhynchus : your future must have shoulder creature. With mixed abilities already existing in ARK but remastered and designed for all type of surviror PvE and PvP (you can help your allies even if you are on the other side of the map but you will learn more about it later) but don't worry if you are a solo player because we did not forget you so yes Rhamphorhynchus is also pretty usefull for you! This little curious creature will conquered your hearts and even more once you have unlocked its saddle (it can be crafted mid/late game and will required a fabricator). When on you shoulder the Rhamphorhynchus will scream to warn you that a wild creature has aggro on you or that an enemy tamed creature is nearby so Rhamphorhynchus will ping you from where the threat is coming from. Saddle : The Rhamphorhynchus's saddle comes with a wireless remote for your survivor to control the Rhampho at distance and most of all you can equiped to your Rhampho a spyglass (once you unlocked the tek binoculars engram you will able to replace the spyglass by it) so that you can take control of it and looking for high level creatures while you are still at your base doing your breeding !You can also found Rhamphorhynchus's saddles on loots crates and just like the Tropeognathus one : the highest the quality is more the damages of the turret will be but the armor will always be at 25 no matter how high the quality of it is. Rhamphorhynchus can be used as a military drone while being controled by you and its saddle has an integrated turret with different type of ammo (Riffle ammo, tranq darts) or your tribemate can take also control of it even if the Rampho is on your shoulder so you can be helped for taming a creature or just shooting at enemies for more backup. To use the turret mode you will need to craft the ammos and put it onto the Rampho's inventory but remember the turret can only be used by a survivor (of course i'ts not an automatic one!) and if you use it underwater the turret is not gonna work but the Rhamphorhynchus can also be used as surveillance camera underwater so you can let it there (it will not move from an inch) and going back to your stuff but keep in mind that if the Rampho detects any kinf of threat so you'll get a notification coming from it. And yes you can use it in the terestrials caves ! You can also use it on PvP for spying others and maybe setting on great and malicious traps. Abilities : When on you shoulder the Rhamphorhynchus will scream to warn you that a wild creature has aggro on you or that an enemy tamed creature is nerby so Rhamphorhynchus will ping you from where the threat is coming from. It is very usefull especially when you are starting on a new map just like Valguero with Wyvern trench and deinonychus nests because you can use the Rhamphorhynchus to steal eggs for you so you can stay safe and sound but take this on note : stealing eggs with it will also be dangerous because your Ramphorhynchus will just like your survivor be detectable by every creatures but you will not be defendless because it is a very maniable creature just like the Rhyniognatha in the air (flying backward while shooting at enemies that are chasing you and landing on the walls as well to get your Ramphorhynchus's stamina back) AND underwater (it doesn't have any oxygen and killing a fish like a coelacanthe or piranha for exemple will give you a speed boost for a few moment so it'll be able to travel through the map really fastly). Taming : The Rhamphorhynchus is one of the cleverer creatures of the arks so be on your guards while being on the redwoods or jungles because you will only have a short amount of time to tame it once the Rhampho screamed its interessement at your survivor. Now that you've localised it you will be able to see a little icon looking like a survivor's POI so be quick and press the indicated button. Once it's done the taming will began and the Rhamphorhynchus will flew from tree to tree so do not lost your sight on it to keep the taming going and not losing any effectiveness !- 1 reply

[Extinct] Glaucopsyche xerces, The Organic Butterfly.
wolfbanefist posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Once extinct, they rose back up through its larvae, the caterpillar, by surviving in the aberrant zone of valguero. The wild caterpillars that make their way outside turn into Butterflys. How to tame: To Tame the Xerces, you must mix blood pacts and rare flowers into blood nectar. The Xerces butterfly will then attack you before pausing, you must feed them the nectar. (similar to taming eels and some other creatures) Beware that this will also attract creatures to attack you and the butterfly. the butterfly getting attacked does not reset the taming, but the taming effectives decreases. if the player taming the creature dies, the taming bar is reset. if the creature dies, time to hunt for a new one. xerces caterpillars in aberrant zone are passive tames with blood nectar, but while feeding the blood nectar they attract wild dinos. Size: the size of a tapajara as a butterfly, caterpillar the size of glowtail. found: Caterpillars, abberant zone, butterfly has few spawns across the map in various places. redwoods, snow, plains. Variants: TEK: Due to their extinction, a survivor who loved their appearances designed this variant. Aberrant variant: Can glow similar to light pets. -5% health and +5% damage. Forms utility: This creature is excellent at making silk by the hour as a butterfly. the caterpillars found in the aberration zone of valgeuro that are unable to fully mature into adult are excellent shoulder tames. while on your shoulder they can cast webbing to slow attackers. Cloning process: Attaching the caterpillar as a baby like a leech will allow the caterpillar to start its transformative state feeding off the host. juvenile, the caterpillar gets bigger. adolescent it detaches into a cocoon till adult where it transforms into the host upon 100% matured. the cloned creatures' stats are of the host. once cloned, the creature can breed with the species of the host only. cannot cross breed. example: cloning into a dire bear result in breeding with dire bears only. due to the maturation of the butterfly. the process of cloning when finished cloning the creature will have Dire Bear (Xerces Clone) instead of regular clone from a cloning chamber. Breeding: fully grown caterpillar can mate with another caterpillar, but not the butterfly. the butterflies can mate with each other but not the caterpillars. the babies will still be caterpillars from both. if a caterpillar is not attached as a host. every 2 hours the caterpillar will turn into a cocoon to turn into a butterfly after adolescent stage is reached. the player can remove this cocoon and will recieve silk. 1 week maturation for the xerces. total from baby to adult megalab: can be reverted back to caterpillar, not the baby of the host. Oasisaur: Resurrects as the caterpillar. Attacks: Bites: Wing flap: damages with a knock back. string shot: makes wild dinos attracted to the player or tame hit by infusing the nectar with silk in the chem bench. string shot is also used on turret mode on both the butterfly and caterpillar forms. -
Dossier: The Glyptodon of the Arks are a close representation of their prehistoric counterpart although they seem to have adapted the size of modern day Armadillos. With the ability to curl up into a near impenetrable ball when startled the sheer force of this survival reaction shoots them a solid 5 feet into the air before they hit the ground rolling to safety! And if you think you could cut your way through these little fellas, THINK AGAIN!!! Their outer shell will dull even the sharpest of weaponry! Although, they seem quite shaken by blunt force hits! I've even seen survivors sneak up on these rodents in full ghillie then remove their helmets to send them into their ball mode and then use a club to smack them into nearby rocks and structures to knock them out! Info: Glyptodon is omnivorous and will feed on anything once knocked out and even tamed! They are skittish and will spook at the first sign of danger but if all else fails and they must attack be warry as they do carry the ever deadly mega rabies! This tame has great potential to bringing more use to the use of arks shields and even more use to using the MIGHTY CLUB!!! Tamed: Once you've tamed the Glyptodon they use their insane outer shell to the best of their abilities! Much like a shoulder pet they can join your adventures but prefer to ride rolled up in a shoulder sling pouch, napping the day away until their needed! Just pull them out the pouch and they can be used to throw at the enemies dazing them for a short time. Or you could simply roll them striking the feet of the opponent and crippling their movement. although, the Glyptodon wont attack and will quickly scurry back to their pouch to sleep of the torpor they gain from the interaction. But fear not! As if you are on the receiving end of the Glyptodon you can use a shield to block them causing severe torpidity! Oooorrr just try and slap it back at their owner with a wooden club? And with their rolling expertise do I hear the idea of a bowling Ally anyone???? When not riding along with the survivor the Glyptodon can be passively put to use at the base producing chitin through their scute that can be filed down periodically much like the Archelon's Algae.
