The Bennu Heron - The Weaponized Tongue Fisherman!
ScreenedPiano posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Introducing the Bennu Heron! Wild - The most peculiar yet magnificent species of megafauna I’ve encountered, this Bennu Heron is shockingly larger than any other heron I have seen. Wading around the shorelines of the lake, it uses the calmness of the waters to scout out its next meal. However, this beautiful bird’s size is not its primary feature- what’s most striking about it is the variety of chameleon-like tongues this species can possess. Domesticated - While talking to some local tribes on the lakeside, I have learned that the way to befriend one of these wading wonders is fishing alongside it! Additionally, I have repeatedly watched the Bennu shape makeshift weapons out of minerals on the tip of its tongue to defend itself. It seems to get its minerals from a unique fish species native to this ark, but each Bennu I've seen only attracts a certain one. What a strange bird... Art done by @ByrnetheArtyrannus When making a creature for Valguero I had an idea to make something that took advantage of the giant lake rather than a specific biome, and what's a better Creature to be around a lake than big heron! - Fishing Sucks. While making Bennu I wanted to make the game better in some way, and I think fishing is one of the most Overlooked Mechanics in the game due to how Boring and Irritating it can be. I don't think anyone can deny that fishing in Ark is nothing but a chore, so I wanted to not only Make a Really Cool Creature but also give Fishing some Love it Absolutely Deserves. - What and Where. Bennu Heron will be a Mid to Late game Flyer/Underwater Travel Mount with Abilities to Aid you in Combat, make Fishing Much Easier, and Automatically Collects Resources. It can be found along the Giant Lake as well as Smaller Body's of Water dotted around the map. - Taming. To tame the Bennu you will need to Fish Alongside It, the bigger fish the better! Being able to Fish with a Friend is all this big bird needs to trust someone! - Abilities. The Bennu will be a solid mix between Travel Mount, Resource Gatherer, and a Solid Upgrade (if high level) to the fishing rod! LMB/RT - Basic Peck RMB/LT - Tongue Attack (Changes Based on Resource see below) C/Right Joystick - Fishing stance While in fishing stance LMB/RT - Throw Tongue, RMB/RT Retract Tongue Spacebar/A/X - Fly While flying - Looking down will do a semi dive mostly used for going into water Coming out of the water will start flight immediately as well as give a boost of speed - Passive Abilities. The Bennu will spawn with 1 of 4 Different Resources attached to their tongue, and depending on the resource will Change their Tongue Attack as well as what Resource it can Auto Gather. Auto Gather Mode - If next to a body of water the Heron can be toggled to start fishing on its own, and overtime will collect what resource it spawned with. Tongue Attack - The Bennu can use some of its specific resource in its inventory to create a makeshift weapon on its tongue. Each weapon has different uses and abilities. Crystal - The Tongue will be shaped like a Sword, having a fast slash that deals solid damage Obsidian - The Tongue will be shaped like a Heavy Mace, having a slow swing that deals heavy damage, knockback, and stuns smaller creatures Metal - The Tongue will be shaped like a Long Spear, having a long reach and armor piercing. Silica Pearls - The Tongue will be shaped like a Sling, having a long ranged Projectile. Fishing Stance - While in this stance you can attach bait (tree sap, leech blood, etc.) to the Bennu's tongue to fish like you were using a fishing rod. Depending on the level of the Bennu is how much loot you can get. Example, A level 225 tamed Bennu will have the same fishing level compared to an ascendant fishing rod. Not only that but the fishing minigame will have extended time as well as fewer button presses making fishing worth the time investment. - Final Thoughts. I'm such a big fan of this creature and I'm in love with how it turned out! Make sure to follow the absolute goat who made the art for the dossier and have a good rest of your day while your at it ❤️- 4 replies

Pegasus that has a mount mode(the permanent mount)
DippyRigby posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
While this mount doesn't output damage well. It makes up for it in stamina with possibly weight and health. It has a mount mode where it can be called to your side at any time. Runs only in no flyer zones, and can fly otherwise. While in mount mode the Pegasus has a revival timer if killed. Never be left stranded with the undying Pegasus by your side. Even if you die, as long as Pegasus has no timer and was in mount mode, call it back to your side to help retrieve your things. -
This group of birds is much larger than their real world counterparts mostly due to the fact that the majority of bugs in the ARK which they primarily feed on are very large. These birds sport a V- shaped tail and pointed wings which not only allows long distance travel it also grants them amazing agility. This bird also rarely lands as they have learned to eat and even drink on the fly! This will be an awesome tame throughout your time on the ARK whether it’s your scouting buddy, or your aerial ace, or just a fun friend to fly with. Passive nature spawns on beaches, swamps, grasslands, and just about anywhere in scorched earth they will bolt when attacked by anything so get ready to defend it when taming To tame you need to passively feed it chitin Wild ones rarely land They deal very low damage to most things but are really strong against bugs and other invertebrates Normal saddle unlocked at lvl 15 Razor-wing saddle unlocked at lvl 55 Equips blades onto the front edge of the wings Flying in to creatures with the razor-wing saddle inflicts damage and has a low chance of inflicting bleed status Battle saddle unlocked at lvl 85 Battle saddle has a fixed/stationary mini gun which uses advanced rifle bullets and burns through them quickly, combined with the Kites low weight you’ll run out of ammo fast Jet saddle unlocked at lvl 100 this is to further implement its traversing capabilities allowing it to cover long distances very quickly They are faster than the pteranodon but have the same weight, and health They have stamina almost equivalent to the argentavis They can glide really fast They have a dive bomb ability which doesn’t do damage but puts them into a completely vertical dive fast mid-air strafe/dodge to help avoid other aerial opponents please leave any suggestions as I would love to improve/balance the design And if anyone wants to make this an active mod on ascended feel free to do so (might not keep jet saddle)

Cygnus Falconeri -The Giant, Dancing, Fighting, Swan
ChrisBManos posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Cygnus Falconeri -The Giant, Dancing, Fighting, Swan Dossier: Common Name: Cygnus Species: Cygnus Falconeri Time: Middle Pleistocene Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: I've seen swans at the park before I found myself in the Ark, but when it comes to Cygnus Falconeri, it's a whole different story. Despite its beautiful appearance, this thing is a literal angry bird. Cygnus is very territorial around every living creature in it's environment, If an intimidating territorial display is not enough to convince the threat to retreat, a full-scale attack may follow, both in the land and water. Instead of resorting to biting however, this giant bird uses it's wings in the most unusual way. Believe it or not, Cygnus has developed a dance like-fighting style similar to capoeira, by using it's wings, Heck, I've seen this thing even being able to dodge the fastest predators in the Ark when they attack! I honestly don't understand how Cygnus Falconeri developed this kind trait, by mimicking other survivors? Sigh... as of right now, I don't have a scientific explanation for this. Domesticated: From what I've heard from other survivors, some people have managed to quietly feed this giant swan by wearing a ghillie suit, but then that's were things start become problematic. After a survivor feed it, the swan immediately did a 120 degree angle dodge and was now behind him, and when the survivor turned around to see, he barely lived to tell the tale. For anyone that manages to tame a Cygnus Falconeri, it's unqiue fighting style can become a pain in the butt for enemy tribes and small and medium sized wild creatures, especially with it's dodging becoming annoying. With very high stamina for traveling and being able to fight above water, they will be able to have a special mount for the land, sky, and sea. Behavior: Cygnus Falconeri is very territorial bird, they will stay nearby at a certain location. If you or any small predator and prey enter their area or get too close to it, Cygnus would then use it's dancing fighting style to attack any small livening thing that trespassed into it's territory. If any intruders try to make escape, Cygnus will then perform it's dodge to block anyone's way before continuing it's attack. Size: Similar to the Argentaivs. Habitat: Cygnus will primarily spawn at The Lake in Valguero. With there being a large body of water in the center of the map and with Cygnus being a giant swan, it makes the perfect environment for Cygnus Falconeri. Cygnus can also be found at the shorelines of the Boreal Forest, Tundra, and the White Cliffs. Abilities: Hack and Slash For it's basic and primary attack; Cygnus will use it's wings to attack in a dance-like fighting style. Think of it similar to Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art and game that includes elements of dance, acrobatics, music and spirituality. I also used Aknosom from Monster Hunter Rise as example as it has a fighting style using it's wings and legs. < As shown here Much like the Shadowmane, Cygnus will have a a combo bar that builds up whenever a hit is successfully landed on a creature, decaying over time if not landing any blows. When the bar is fully charged up, Cygnus will be able to perform one of three combos: Combo 1: Spin Attack + Cygnus will perform a spinning attack by spreading it's wings and then spin around like a helicopter, this cause's the gnashed effect. Combo 2: Somersault Kick + R Cygnus will perform a somersault to then deliver a powerful kick that will cause knockback to enemy survivors and smaller creatures that are hit Combo: 3: Counter Jab + C Cygnus will use it's wings to form a blocking stance, this one is not easy to pull off however. When your in this stance, you must wait for the right moment for the enemy to strike, when it does, Cygnus will perform a jab that causes a temporally stun effect to other survivors, small and medium creatures. It can also be used as a of escape when in dire situations. Be wary when using this combo, the blocking stance will only last 10 seconds. Also the counter will only work with physical attacks, not with gun shots, poison gas, or even ice or fire breath. So be careful! Dodging Unlike other flying birds in Ark, Cygnus is fully capable of jumping by just checking the jump button. (To fly, just simply hold the jump button) Cygnus can also run. As said earlier, Cygnus is able to fully dodge. To dodge, press the spacebar, then while doing so press any of the movement keys or in simples terms: Space + W or S It's very useful to avoid damage and making great getaways (EX: When having deal with a Giga or escape when your low on health) Above Water If your worried that when close to water when your on Cygnus, you think you will fall off your creature like other flying creatures, NOPE, not Cygnus. Much like Pelagornis, Cygnus is able to safely land on water and becomes a fast swimmer by paddling just like modern swans. As an added bonus, Cygnus can perform it's attacks, combos, and dodging above water. Also, while not moving, Cygnus will be able to regain it's stamina while above water as well. While Cygnus can't dive underwater, it's still a good aquatic mount above water Flying Being a bird of course, Cygnus will be able fly by holding the spacebar as said earlier (jumping by just checking the jump button once) Cygnus will only attack by biting while flying, so can't use your wing attacks or do your combos, but that doesn't mean you still can't dodge. In a very similar way to Pteranodon, Cygnus will perform an aileron roll, just press the crouch-key while flying. This gives a short speed boost and dodge in the process, but also depletes more stamina. Another down side for Cygnus while flying is that it doesn't have the ability to pick up creatures or other players due to their wedded feet. However, as an up side, Cygnus's flying style is similar to the Snow Owl, meaning it can dive straight down and gain an extreme increase in speed whilst diving. (Note: The real-world Cygnus Falconeri may have been flightless due to it's size, however since this is Ark (which is of course of video game), I give Cygnus the ability to fly. So why not?) (Another Note: Cygnus will throw you off their back if you're flying over lava. Be careful!) High Stamina Cygnus Falconeri has very high stamina, allowing it travel to very far places. Stats: Health: 370 Stamina: 800 Oxygen: 700 Food: 1800 Weight: 130 Movement Speed: 100% Melee Damage: 45 Taming: Taming Cygnus Falconeri is a bit similar to the Gigantopithecus, but much more annoying. When quietly feed, Cygnus Falconeri becomes suspicious on who feed it, literally it does. After performing it's dodge, Cygnus would then stare at the thing in question; YOU. My advice when this happens, don't move, I repeat, DON"T MOVE. Apparently Cygnus has had experience with dealing with people in ghillie suits. After you hold for an amount of time, Cygnus Falconeri will deliver a honk meaning "All clear!" thinking it's just a bush and with that you can continue the process. However, when halfway done. Cygnus will become even more suspicious and make to what I call a "false" honk in an attempt to draw you out, don't fall for this, cause once you move it's game over. Continue with this repetitive process, and you'll have you self a giant fighting swan. Q&A: What Is Cygnus Falconeri in Real Life???: Cygnus Falconeri, or the Giant Swan, (Maltese: Ċinju ġgant) is an extinct, very large swan known from Middle Pleistocene-aged deposits from Malta and Sicily. Its dimensions are described as exceeding those of the living mute swan by one-third, which would give a bill-to-tail length of about 190–210 cm (75–83 in) (based on 145–160 cm for C. olor). By comparison to the bones of living swans, it can be estimated that it weighed around 16 kg (35 lb) and had a wingspan of about 3 m (9.8 ft). It would have been taller, though not heavier, than the region's dwarf elephants. Due to its size, it may have been flightless. It became extinct before the increase in human activity in the region (see Holocene extinction event), so its disappearance is thought to have resulted from extreme climate fluctuations or the arrival of predators and superior competitors. Its bones are exhibited at Għar Dalam museum in Birżebbuġa, Malta. Why did you choose Cygnus Falconeri???: I honestly was a bit fascinated by this creature when I first saw it on the internet, but I to be honest, I'm not too sure why I choose it in the first place... I went with my gut I guess? Thanks for reading!!! -
Pronounced, [Ah·Ram·Bour·Gain·Eya] Dossier Text Wild: In the realms of this ancient land, I've had the privilege of witnessing the awe-inspiring presence of Arambourgiania, which towers over creatures such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex. With wings stretched impossibly wide, it patrols the skies with an unmatched presence, casting its huge shadow upon the ground below. Its elongated neck, adorned with a slender beak, hints at peak evolution, while its incredible eyesight paint a picture of a vigilant guardian. Majestic and imposing, Arambourgiania's commanding flight allows it to survey the vast sky with ease, making it a sentinel of the heavens, and a sight to behold amidst the prehistoric tapestry of life. I'm astounded that a creature of such size would feed on just fish and smaller critters, revealing the hidden intricacies of its role in the ancient ecosystem. Domesticated: I've uncovered Arambourgiania's secrets. This towering sentinel, now a loyal companion, serves beyond its ancient role. Thanks to its elongated neck, it is capable of guarding the skies by detecting distant threats. It signals an "alarm" when foes approach, alerting the tribe. Its commanding cry forces retreat, even from ridden creatures. Arambourgiania returns when skies extend too far, a wise adaptation to safeguard its home. Its talents are diverse—a defender and artisan. At the water's edge, it becomes a patient angler, reeling in treasures like blueprints and valuable resources. Its incredible eyesight detects nearby materials and resources which I have found extremely useful. Mastery of its fishing art brings even greater prizes. With the Arambourgiania, the skies and depths are yours. Table Of Contents Summary Description Basic Attacks Special Abilities Taming Method Mating Valguero Adaptions Why You Should Vote For The Arambourgiania Summary Wild Presence Towering presence, taller than a Rex, with immense wingspan Patrols the skies, protecting its territory Elongated neck, slender beak, and incredible eyesight Territorial temperament, feeding on fish and small creatures If it detects your presence, it will let out a small call, almost as a warning before becoming aggressive. If the target doesn’t abide by that warning, the Arambourgiania will lift off, attack and let off a piercing screech that will force enemies to retreat. It will also attack the enemy during this time too. Domesticated Abilities Surveillance: Raises its neck as far as it can go to alert tribe of aerial threats, forces retreat to foes with a screech that causes all other tamed Arambourgianias to quickly launch after foes and attack Patrol Mode: Flies (or walks) along a designated route, detecting potential threats Fishing: Skilled angler, catching fish and valuable resources from water bodies; catching fish while flying restores stamina mid-flight Resource Locator: Pinpoints selected material nearby with its vision Launch: Charge wings during take-off for a huge momentum boost Combat Abilities Beak Slash: Uses its long beak for slashing and swiping attacks Thrust Flurry: Rapid flurry of bleeding thrusts with the beak, charge for a longer flurry; also used to harvest certain resources Beak Grab: Firmly takes either a small creature, an opposing player, or a tribemate, and keeps them lodged within its beak. Saddle & Utility Level 76 saddle that comes equipped with metal casing on beak for increased damage and resource harvesting Three-seater saddle for additional passengers Fishing bait can be attached to beak for more valuable loot Mating Very unique method with only one tamed Arambourgiania required Male method Enable mating Releases a mating call to search for a wild female Arambourgiania Follow the Arambourgiania to its mate Claim the offspring Female method Enable mating Releases a mating call that attracts wild male Arambourgianias Wait for a male to arrive Claim the offspring Taming Method Equip a ghillie disguise to blend in with the environment Approach the Arambourgiania quietly and join it in fishing to build trust As trust grows, the Arambourgiania will fly and lead you to its nest At the nest, help defend its newborn offspring from dangerous creatures; the adult Arambourgiania will emit a warning screech before a wave of intruders (These waves are sort of like Plants vs. Zombies) Once you successfully defend the offspring and prove your loyalty to the Arambourgiania, it will give you the right to take one of its newborn offspring as your companion Description The Arambourgiania stands as a giant among pterosaurs and many other creatures, with even just its neck spanning around 10 feet, a colossal size! The creature itself, standing at an impressive 16 feet, even surpasses the Rex in size! What’s interesting however, is that a creature at this size seems to mainly feed and just fish and smaller creatures. The Arambourgiania's favorable trait is its eyesight. Elevated by its elongated neck, its remarkable vision becomes your tool for surveillance. This allows you to thoroughly scout your surroundings, identifying distant resources and creatures with ease. The Arambourgiania has been given this trait due to its environmental niche. It's the most territorial creature in the game. Using its talents, it can signal a screech, acting as an alarm as well as an intimidation tactic, forcing intruders to turn back. Upon reaching level 76, you will be able to craft a 3 seater saddle. One seat is positioned between its abdomen and neck, reserved for the rider. Two additional seats are positioned a bit further back, near the wings. The saddle comes equipped with metal casing on the Arambourgiania’s beak, enhancing its attacks, resource harvesting, and more. This also allows the Arambourgiania to have bait attached to its beak for fishing. (Which will be discussed in detail later) The Arambourgiania has an abundance of distinctive abilities you can use to your advantage, both for PvP and PvE players to enjoy. This creature introduces a new layer of stealth, strategy, defense, and many other interesting mechanics to the overall ARK experience. Basic Attacks Beak Slash - (Left Click) Unlike any other aerial creature in the game, the Arambourgiania uses its long, slender beak to its advantage and uses it as a sword, slashing and swiping. This swing can hit multiple targets at once. Thrust Flurry- (Right Click) The Arambourgiania unleashes a flurry where it repeatedly thrusts its sharp beak at whatever it is trying to attack. Inflicts a short bleed that can stack depending on how many attacks hit the target. This attack is also how you can begin to gather sap from redwood trees. You can also harvest from certain resources with this attack, such as stone and wood for example. Beak Grab - (Press C) The Arambourgiania will pick up a player or a small creature in its beak. Its beak deals slow and continuous damage when used on an enemy. You can break out of this grasp similar to a Bloodstalker. You can also use this on tribe members, so technically the Arambourgiania can be 4-seater. Once something is in its grasp, you can perform multiple actions. Beak Slam - (Left Click When Something Is In The Beak) Slams players down to the ground dealing impact damage. Beak Fling - (Right Click When Something Is In The Beak) Throws player into the air. This can be useful if you want the player to die from fall damage, pursue an attack, or if you want them to be seen by other Arambourgianias. Drop - (C When Something Is In The Beak) Releases your grip, sending the captive free. Special Abilities Surveillance Mode - (Activated In Radial Wheel) Use the radial wheel to activate surveillance mode for your Arambourgiania. You can have it perched in one place or following you to have a second pair of eyes watching in the sky to make sure you won’t get ambushed by any aerial creatures or foes. It will raise its neck as high as it can go in order to detect and alert the tribe of any aerial foes, especially ones from other tribes inbound from incredible distances. If these foes get too close, the Arambourgiania will prepare a launch with its wings to give it a huge momentum boost before the enemy can get away. While in proximity of the enemy, the Arambourgiania will unleash an ear-piercing territorial screech that forces all aerial enemies, even the largest of foes such as wyverns, to retreat. But don’t worry about your Arambourgiania being lured away by the enemies, it has developed a very helpful territorial adaptation in which the Arambourgiania will return back to its original position if it goes too far. Keep in mind this ability is not usable while being ridden. Patrol Mode - (Surveillance Mode Option) Can be activated while in surveillance mode. Instead of standing still and surveilling one area or following you, the Arambourgiania will fly around a designated path, searching for potential threats. To set up the patrol route, you click “Draw Patrol Route” on the radial wheel. Fly in the route that you want your Arambourgiania to patrol. To end the patrol route, fly back to the point you started it at. If you want it to fly in a circle around your base, fly in a circle and have it connect to where you started it. Keep in mind that there is a limit of how far it can go while patrolling. (This is kind of like the monkey ace from Bloons Tower Defense) Launch - (Hold Space During Take-Off) The Arambourgiania naturally uses this while on surveillance mode, but while being ridden the Arambourgiania unleashes an incredibly powerful gust of wind that sends it hurling forward, giving it a huge momentum boost in the air, all thanks to its enormous wings (Longer you charge the further and faster you go). Fishing - (Press V) The Arambourgiania primarily eats fish, so it's taken the time to master the art of fishing. While riding it, take it near a body of water and you will be able to begin fishing. It will stick its neck under water. If you don’t yet have a saddle for the creature, simply take it near a body of water and enable “Begin Fishing”. The chances of receiving more fish/treasure will increase by adding points into the new “Fishing” stat in its inventory. You can also receive more loot by adding bait onto the saddle, similar to a fishing rod. If you are above a body of water mid-flight, the Arambourgiania is able to swoop and dip its neck under water to catch fish. If it catches fish this way, it will replenish some stamina while flying. So instead of having to land for a stamina break, you can just fly over water and catch fish. Resource Locator - (Hold R) Give the command by holding R to choose what material you want from the radial wheel and select what you want. It will use its incredible eyesight to pinpoint whatever materials you need. For example, if you wish for it to find metal nodes, just give it the command and wait for it to see if there are any nearby. If there is, it will make a little call and wait for you to either follow it or ride it. It will then begin to fly to the resource in question. Skyward Swoosh - (Double-Tap Space In The Air) While flying, the Arambourgiania can propel itself upward. This can be useful to gain elevation, or to retreat from enemies. Sap Sip - (Right Click When On Or Next To Tree) While riding the Arambourgiania, simply go up to any tree that allows for sap to be collected from a sap collector and puncture the tree with the Arambourgiania’s large beak. After some time, the Arambourgiania will begin to harvest sap from the tree. You can also do this by wrapping yourself around the tree which can be done by pressing space when flying next to it. Taming Method The Taming Method for the Arambourgiania is very fun and exciting! The first step should be rather calm, if you know what you’re doing, of course… First, find an Arambourgiania near a body of water, fishing peacefully. Secondly, you want to make sure you’re suited up in a Ghillie suit and join the Arambourgiania in fishing. Make sure not to sit too close, or too far. While fishing, the Arambourgiania will slowly begin to become aware of your presence, but won’t care too much since it’s concluded that you’re not a threat if you haven’t attacked it during that whole time. After a while, the Arambourgiania will trust you so much to an extent where it will guide you to its nest. Once you arrive at the nest, you will have to help defend its newly-born offspring by fighting off waves of enemies that are trying to attack the Arambourgiania’s offspring. During these waves, the Arambourgiania will alert the player of incoming enemies from very far distances by using its screech. Defeat all the enemies while keeping the offspring protected and the Arambourgiania will allow you to take one of its offspring. Mating The mating process for this creature is quite unique as well. You only actually need one tamed Arambourgiania in order to do this. Male Method When you enable mating on a male Arambourgiania, it will let out a mating call. You will then hear another mating call from a wild female Arambourgiania in the distance. Follow the Arambourgiania to its mate and let them breed. Though uncommon, there is a chance it could mate with a female Arambourgiania that is owned by another tribe if mating is enabled on both. Now you might be wondering, “Another tribe? But who would take the offspring?’ Well the answer is that they will produce TWO babies, one that’s reserved for you, and one for the other tribe. (Its mating call will find one close to its original level) Female Method When mating is enabled on a female Arambourgiania, it will let out a mating call that draws wild males towards it. It will patiently await a male's approach to mate with. While slightly slower than the male method, this process is automatic while the male method is manual, making both methods useful in their own ways. Like the male, this call can attract mates from other tribes if mating is enabled on both. (Its mating call will attract ones that are close to its original level) Valguero Adaptions White Cliffs: The Arambourgiania naturally nests in the White Cliffs, where other large flyers like Tapejaras and Pteranodons also inhabit. The nearby rivers and waterfalls make this place a great fishing spot for them. Sap Tree Abundance: Valguero has an abundance of sap trees. This is perfect for the Arambourgiania’s sap sipping ability. Deinosuchus Rivalry: Similar to the real world, the Arambourgiania and the Deinosuchus are both extremely territorial creatures. Hence, they are naturally rivals. Water Masses: Valguero has a large amount of water masses, perfect for the Arambourgiania. This leaves many areas for the Arambourgiania to go fishing. Why You Should Vote For The Arambourgiania Why should it be in Ark? Fun & Unique Abilities: The amount of diverse abilities this creature has not only makes the creature useful, but extremely fun to use as well, encouraging players to explore its full potential. Surveillance Gimmick: With its far eyesight, the Arambourgiania changes how players approach exploration. Being able to identify resources, and potential threats from afar is a game-changer. Patrol Routes: Its ability to follow designated patrol routes introduces a new level of strategic planning and defense to Ark. This allows players to strategize a more tactical method to base protection, or to just recreate Bloons TD :) Mobility: Regardless of its big size, the Arambourgiania is an extremely mobile creature, making it a viable flier for traveling. Fishing: The Arambourgiania's fishing talent provides you with an alternate resource gathering method, allowing you to set up an automatic fishing farm. Resource Gathering: Its resource-locating abilities and beak-based collection methods change the game for resource gathering, which can make grinding a less frustrating process PvE & PvP Perks: Arambourgiania's unique abilities offer advantages for both modes. Its surveillance, warning, and combat abilities lend themselves to both cooperative and competitive gameplay, ensuring its usefulness across various gameplay styles. Perfect For Valguero: This map's geographical features and inhabitants make the Arambourgiania perfect for Valguero. New Flier: There have been winners for land and water creatures in previous votes, but the sky is still empty. No flying creature has won the vote so far. It might seem like there are already a lot of flyers, but there are only about 20 rideable fliers available in the game, with only a few being viable to even use. Your vote could change the game and bring a new flier to ARK: Survival Ascended!

Wild: While the wyvern may be king of the air out in the desert, the true king of the mountain air truly has to be the harpogornis. Uncaring about what creatures scurry beneath its gaze, its true prey lies upon those in the sky. Despite the fact that the true harpogornis was more of an eagle, this one seems to behave like a falcon. Don't let its size fool you, depsite being only slightly larger than that of an argentavis, even the largest of flying foes fear its presence. Flying higher than even the Quetzal, it swoops down to suprise their prey with swift and savage attacks. Its claws and beak seem well suited for piercing the frail builds that birds have. Even other Harpargornis are not safe, viewing others as invading their territory. The few survivors I've met that have ran from this furious blitz have summarized it as a "storm of claws and beak and fury and wings." Tamed: If the Argentavis is used for utility, than harpagornis is suited purely for combat. It's claws and beak are too sharp to be capable of carrying anything, and it isn't strong enough to be capable of carrying large loads either. It is also frail, and if it wasn't for its fury, one would think it would be akin to another argentavis. It is, however, agile, and it's penchant for hunting other fliers seems to carry over. Abilities: fairly standard attacks, being biting and using its claws to attack, can dive and swoop, and has a damage buff against fliers. As it loses health, after about 75% of max health, starts gaining Fury, with it capping out at a max at 25% health being an extra 20% damage. Taming: After eating some kind of consumable on the back of a flier, let's say "Heart of the Haast", the closest harpagornis closes in on you and wages war upon you, attempting to defend its territory. After reaching 10% health, its fury gives out, and it passes out, you tame it much like you would any other creature. Saddle: While most saddles seem to leave the rider sticking straight up, for a swooper like this, it would make more sense to have the rider lay flat upon its back, kinda like some motorcycle riders.

The Volaticotherium : Your best friend.
victime11 posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
Hello, today I am going to introduce you to a creature used in construction and support, even though it is a small creature. Meet the volaticotherium, the survivor's best friend. \(^^)/ 1 : Dino File Volaticotherium Volaticotherium intelligentillus Jurassic Passive Wild I have rarely seen volaticotheriums because Volaticotherium intelligentillus are victims of small or large carnivores like saber-toothed tigers. The volaticotheriums are small mammals that move quickly on the ground but can also climb walls and take flight like a flying squirrel. Feeding on corpses and pesky insects, the Volaticotherium can spit a cold, nauseating smoke powerful enough to affect electrical devices. Volaticotheriums are also intelligent. One could say their intelligence is equal to that of a crow or a dolphin. Domesticated Taming one of these tiny creatures can be advantageous. You can teach it complex tasks, like sorting items, just as you would teach a hyaenodon to sit. Unfortunately for all survivors who thought they could turn the Volaticotherium into a parachute, it is impossible as these creatures are not strong enough. 2 : Abilities, Statistics, and Usage Here are the abilities of the Volaticotherium The Volaticotherium would be useful on the ground and on the shoulder. Shoulder Abilities The intelligence and breath of the Volaticotherium can assist you. It can repair your armor or weapon, reload your firearms, make you invisible, and heal you automatically. 1) To repair your armor or weapon automatically on you and not on a workbench, simply bring repair materials and put them in your Volaticotherium or inside you, and it will automatically repair them before they become brittle. 2) The Volaticotherium can reload your weapons. When the Volaticotherium reloads a weapon, the reload time will be faster and the first bullet will always be slightly more powerful than the others. 3) The Volaticotherium can give you an effect called camouflage. This means that some creatures will ignore you, even if they are ordered to attack you. To do this, give your Volaticotherium some Mejoberry and crouch. 4) If you heal your Volaticotherium, it will naturally heal you with its breath. Ground Abilities The Volaticotherium has abilities related to its breath and terrestrial intelligence that are completely different from its abilities when it is on your shoulder. 1) The Volaticotherium can sort your chest. Imagine there are 25 logs in one trunk and 50 in another. The Volaticotherium will automatically sort them, giving you 75 in one trunk and 0 in the other. 2) The explosion of the Volaticotherium can cause enemy electronic structures to malfunction and increase the power of allied electronic structures. For enemy turrets, the Volaticotherium will have camouflage shielding against turrets only in PVP game mode. The electrical disruption effect lasts for 2 minutes. 3) The Volaticotherium can also make a sleeping creature invisible. All creatures in the game will ignore the sleeping dinosaur and the Volaticotherium. To do this, the Volaticotherium creates a zone. For this to work, the Volaticotherium must be on the ground near a sleeping creature and have plenty of Mejoberry. Level 1 Statistics - Health: 50 - Stamina: 100 - Oxygen: 150 - Food: 200 - Weight: 35 - Damage: 120 - Speed: same as a thylacoleo To tame a Volaticotherium, you must be accompanied by a small dinosaur, such as a dodo or an otter. If the Volaticotherium sees you with a small creature, it will not run away and will become friends with yours. As long as the Volaticotherium befriends your dinosaur, many dilophosaurs will try to kill it, and you will have to protect it. If a Dilo touches it, the taming effectiveness decreases. Depending on the level of the Volaticotherium, you will need a certain number of creatures, the maximum being 4. 3 : Behavior and Location The Volaticotherium will flee as soon as it sees you. It will not have baby volaticotheriums in the wild. If there is a corpse, they will come to eat it. They are found in mountain or snow forests. They can fly very fast like maewings. Their size is that of a compy, and their width is that of a trilobite.-

Culiseta caedes: The Bloodbath Mosquito
Qwertymine posted a suggestion in Creature submission archive
This dossier is old and only for a quick visual, Culiseta has seen many changes since I made this. Also try to excuse the art and design of said dossier, I am NOT an artist at all. I hope my descriptions can be vivid enough to convey what the creature does, though I will try to provide some images as visual aids. The Short- Basic information on the Culiseta species and their role in the game. Larval Form Size: Similar length to Plesiosaur with a similar thickness to a Megalodon. Diet: Carnivore The stage you tame first. Effective and ferocious aquatic mounts with a special way to collect a potent new resource. Can develop into a Pupa once it has had enough experience taking down large oceanic predators. Pupal Form Size: As large as the Larval but rolled up and partially encased in a shell. Diet: Carnivore(Cannot collect food itself, must be fed) Pupa can’t be found in the wild and only come from developing Larvae. Generally act as a baby form of the Imago that can be fed and imprinted, but at the end of its development you can choose to keep it permanently as a Pupa. Pupa make for effective diving bells for surface to seafloor travel and are able to bury into the seafloor as incredibly bulky hidden vaults. Imago Form Size: Dimensionally similar to a Mammoth, but lightly built Diet: Sanguivore Wild Imago are untameable, but won’t target creatures smaller than a Stego. Tamed Imago can fly omnidirectionally, have respectable land movement, and can walk on water. Capable of sucking up a variety of resources ranging from Blood to Sap and being able to pump even more into friends and foes alike, Imago Culiseta are some of the most potent tames a survivor could ask for, enhanced by a special Tek Saddle unlocked later in the game. Base Stats: Larval Form: Pupal Form: Imago Form: HP: 2500 HP: 3000 HP: 1150 Stam: 500 Stam: 500 Stam: 550 Oxygen: NA Oxygen: NA Oxygen: 600 Food: 1000 Food: 3000 Food: 2000 Weight: 1000 Weight: 2000 Weight: 750 Base Damage: 85 Base Damage: 0 Base Damage: 52 Movement Speed: Movement Speed: Movement Speed: Similar to Alpha Megalodon Slower than Archelon Similar to Wyverns The Long- More detailed information on each form and their abilities. This part is quite the read. Wild: How wild Culiseta behave Wild Culiseta can only be found in their Larval and Imago forms. Larva are aggressive oceanic predators that will eat anything they can get their jaws around and Imago are flying bloodsuckers who will attack anything larger than a Stego. Both are decent sources of Chitin and Meat, and Imago Culiseta can drop some Blood Packs. Taming: How to tame a Larval Culiseta You’ll need to be level 70 to tame a Culiseta, and must first deal with their Larval form. Larvae are ravenous, and if you can trap and deprive them of food they will begin to starve, slowing down drastically to conserve energy. You can then feed the Larva either Extraordinary Kibble or various Meats to tame it, though it will again become aggressive till it returns to starvation. Note that starvation won’t drop taming effectiveness but extended starvation will impact progress. Larval Form: Information on the Larval Culiseta and Growth Hormone When the Larva is tamed it needs no saddle for riding, instead having 50 natural armor. Larva make for effective ocean mounts thanks to their stats and speed, but their draw is more in how they develop. To grow into a Pupa, the Larva will need Growth Hormones, with one being obtained everytime they kill a large oceanic predator like a Mosa, Tuso, or Alpha creature. Growth Hormone can be used not only to grow Larva but can also be used to speed up the growth of baby creatures by 15% with adjusted Imprint timers to match. This makes the Larva an indispensable tool for those who feel strapped for time when raising creatures. Pupal Form: Information on the Pupal Culiseta Once you’ve collected enough Growth Hormone for pupation, bring the Larva somewhere safe so that it can transform. The Pupa can be imprinted like other creatures during various stages of its growth. Ordinarily once it has reached full maturity you can use the Release option on your radial wheel to free the Imago Culiseta, but on the opposite end of the wheel you can also find a Seal option. If you have Sap you can use the Seal option to permanently keep the Culiseta in its Pupal form. Permanent Pupal Culiseta again require no saddle for riding but only have 25 natural armor and no form of attack. While usually rather slow swimmers, Pupa can be used as a diving bell of sorts, quickly sinking to the bottom of the water and burying into the sand, only given away by the slight protrusion of their abdomen. Burying greatly reduces food use, which combined with their high weight and respectable HP make Pupa effective living vaults, further enhanced by a fridge-like effect they have on spoilable resources. Imago Form: Information on the Imago Culiseta If you instead choose to Release the Culiseta, you’ll receive the coveted Imago form. Imago need a saddle(Unlocked at level 70) to be ridden, but they can walk on water using surface tension, walk on land, and fly omnidirectionally. While not as physically tough as their younger selves, Imago are much faster and far more maneuverable. Imago’s primary attack will jab with their proboscis when facing forward, or thrash their abdomen around when facing backwards, dealing more damage based on how full their Abdomen Meter is. The backwards attack is locked when flying. Sucking and Pumping: Information on the Alternate attack and its effects/uses. The Imago alternate attack does no damage, but will jab its proboscis into Creatures, Redwood trees, or bodies of water when standing on them(Or if you’re near a Watering Hole/Well) Once you’ve jabbed something, you can Primary Fire to Suck and Alternate Fire to Pump. To change your current fluid for pumping, press your Crouch button. To release the jab, press your Jump/Fly button. Your Abdomen Meter can be filled with various fluids through sucking. Below is a list of fluid types you can obtain. The Imago’s abdomen will be a certain color based on what fluid is the majority. Blood (Sucked from creatures) (Red) Water (Sucked from water sources) (Light Blue) Sap (Sucked from Redwood Trees) (Orange) Narcotic Fluid (Obtained by feeding your Culiseta 10 Narcotics, which will convert all fluid to Narcotic Fluid) (Dark Purple) Stimulant Fluid (Obtained by feeding your Culiseta 10 Stimulants, which will convert all fluid to Stimulant Fluid) (White) Pheromone Fluid (Obtained by feeding your Culiseta 10 Ammonite Bile, which will convert all fluid to Pheromone Fluid) (Bright Yellow) Sucking Blood from a creature will deal a small percentage of damage and heal the Culiseta, but it can be disconnected if you’re attacked enough times. All fluid types can be directly pumped into both wild/enemy creatures and friendly creatures, with some having different effects based on alignment. The effect of each fluid is strengthened/prolonged by how much is pumped into the target. Blood- Will heal creatures for a flat amount plus a small percentage of their total health. Water- Will cleanse effects and prevent the application of more effects for a short time. Sap- Will slow wild/enemy dinos and drain their stamina, will reduce stamina loss of allies and slightly boost defense for a time. Narcotic Fluid- Will raise the torpidity of wild/enemy dinos, can heal friendlies for a greater amount than blood but also raises their torpidity. Stimulant Fluid- Will lower the torpidity of wild/enemy and tamed dinos, but also increases ally movement speed by 25% for a time. Pheromone Fluid- Causes nearby creatures to attack wild/enemy dinos, makes nearby creatures ignore allies for a time. Abdomen Meter: Special mechanics of the Abdomen Meter Your Culiseta can hold more fluid based on how high its food stat is, meaning you can focus on food for support centered Culiseta and other stats for more combat oriented individuals. Note however that the meter can be forcefully drained with Bleed-inducing attacks. Such attacks will drain your meter but won’t do percentage damage till it’s empty, meaning the Culiseta isn’t entirely debilitated by them. You can also manually drain your Culiseta of Sap or Blood to collect Sap and Bloodpacks, and water containers can be filled in the Culiseta’s inventory if it has water. Tek Saddle: Information on the Culiseta’s Tek Saddle Usually Imago Culiseta can't pick up other creatures, but this changes with a specialized Tek Saddle, the Cryovault Saddle. This level 105 saddle firstly acts like a Fridge, preserving perishables for extended periods, but also secondarily acts as a mobile Cryofridge. This can charge Cryopods, but also allows players to release Cryo'd creatures when near to their Culiseta, though it requires Element for both its crafting and will require Element to be powered. It also takes 1 Element to unpod a creature near to the Culiseta even if that creature comes out with Cryo Sickness, meaning it can be expensive to transport large groups.
