  1. ive recently tamed a sarco and i know it used to have a lunge attack to the C button, but now for some reason it wont do the lunge anymore? im not sure if its a bug or what
  2. I suggest adding a cave lion. They existed around the ice age, as did a lot of other ark creatures including the sabretooth tiger, woolly rhino, woolly mammoth, etc. You could add the cave lion as an enemy in caves, along with just a creature that roams around areas such as forests and fields. Ark has not yet had an animal like this, although there is a sabretooth tiger, the cave lion does somewhat resemble a modern day lion, one of the most popular animals, so I think that adding in something like this could really bring some life into the Fjordur map. If you are looking for something with abilities, I think it would be amazing if the cave lion was able to hunt in a different way as the other animals. Maybe you could crouch down with it and have it stalk prey through the grass. You could make it so prey is less likely to see it when it is crouched down as well. I hope you consider this option, and I will try giving other suggestions as well.
  3. English Conepatus emerges from the trenches of darkness. An extinct giant skunk that inhabited caves and crevices in the current Holocene period. adapted to the dark, they developed somewhat ... silent abilities. Conepatus possesses ultra-stealth abilities, combined with natural agility. His speed and dexterity is unmatched by any creature in Ark. This carnivore developed the ability to hunt with throwing claws, similar to a Kunai, with a short range but significant damage, which when attacking, dashes backward and slows down enemies for a few seconds. With its huge hairy tail it is able to hold objects. Equip it with Z grenades or a huge giant boomerang, which with a couple of shots inflicts torpor to any creature, but be careful not to walk on foot as it is capable of immersing you in an instant dream if you are hit with it. And how to forget its main and most important characteristic. Conepatus is also capable of giving off a gas in the form of smoke, completely blurring vision in a short radius. Turning him invisible only within the smoke giving him an extra speed buff worthy of a ninja escape or repositioning. When the smoke is activated the ninja skunk's eyes turn white radiating a light from his eyes, be careful when hiding as they can see the glow. Informal features: conepatus is a ninja skunk with close combat skills. Metsubushi Smoke (Female Only) This ability provides the female with an organic thrown grenade, automatically transporting her to where she fell) Tail fold: This fold allows you to hold a giant boomerang or Z grenades so you can blind enemies or lower them from their mounts and take advantage of the opportunity to attack or escape.   5. (TLDR in first comment) The Pontolis Magnus is a carnivorous extinct genus of large walrus that lived between 11.608-5.332 million years ago. It is 33% larger than the largest elephant seals of today and preferred cold climates (hence making it a great choice for a cold map such as Fjordur). I would like to see this creature with (large) tusks (like the modern walrus) for the males. Features - diet: carnivorous - temperament: territorial - taming method: knock out, preferred kibble is exceptional - structure damage: stone and below - able to swim quickly but also able to travel on land with some speed - rideable: saddle unlocked at level 40 - keeps the rider warm in cold temperatures - thick skin allows them to not be shocked by jellyfish - thick skin reduces all damage taken by 20% (+ saddle reduction) - tusks are able to mine resources underwater with high efficiency (allowing the player to mine without dismounting the creature). It is notable for being able to harvest crystal, oil, organic polymer, meat and prime meat with one of the best efficiency out of any creature in the game. Whilst underwater, mining efficiency is increased by 25%. - underwater ally healing ability (like daeodon on land) but must be underwater - passively produces Walrus Oil ("A noxious oil secreted by the Pontolis.") - works same as narcotics. + 10 oil, 20 sparkpowder and 5 stimulants in a chemistry bench to create Burn Cream ("A special formulation that reduces burns when applied to skin") - reduces fire damage by 20% for a humans and creatures. The Burn Cream could be helpful when fighting against the amargasaurus (with its fire spikes) when it is released with Lost Island. - 25% reduction from fire damage due to the thick skin and anti-flammable substance on its skin - its thick skin also makes it unable to be frozen by the managarmr and the amargasaurus freezing spikes - pack (herd) bonus: increases damage done by 50% and reduces damage taken by 25% (same as allosaurus) - can incubate eggs in a small area like the dimetrodon Attack/controls - left click: standard bite - rightclick: tusk slash - inflicts bleed - C : Walrus sits (only when on land) which gives it 40% increased healing when consuming food - X: Courage roar (only available for pack leader which is automatically the strongest) but only available underwater
  6. My Suggestion for the new map Fjordur By MonstersHunters Since the theme for the next map is based in Scandinavia and Nordic Mythology. I decided to pick the species Minomancalla, which is an ancient relative to the now extinct Great Auk that once flourished in Norway, the Faroe Islands, Great Britian and Ireland. Unlike the penguins found in the most southern continent of Antarctica, Auks flourish in the North of Eurasia and the Northern Atlantic where they evolved to fill the niches of penguins (unlike penguins, Auks can fly and swim). However, humans have had a massive effect on different Auk species and after many centuries of over-hunting. Pinguinus impennis or the Great Auk went extinct. Well as a remembrance to our effect on the environment and how we should try harder to prevent important species from going extinct, I feel that Minomancalla. A Giant Auk known as the Lucas Auk (Minomancalla) that was taller than three feet and lived in the colder regions of California and Mexico during the Miocene. This unique change in height is due to less competition from other large sea birds such as pelagornis that havn't adapted to these freezing environments, but also with having to live in an environment with predators such as direwolves, direbears and daeodons. Feeding on fish, cephalopods and crustaceans, this Auk species has also evolved similar abilities to its relatives such as puffins through having denticels that are present in Miomancalla upper palate that have a more rough and razor texture, which allows this Auk to hold and lock prey within their beaks that allows these birds and to hold up to 15 coelacanth or sabertooth salmon in their beaks (depending on the size). These birds also have incredible agility and similar to other members of this genus, are incredibly adaptable to different temperatures. Alongside this, M. tesca is the only member of Mancallinae that has sizeable wings and a keel that can carry its own weight. Being able to dive bomb and swim extremely fast underwater, these aquatic birds fill the niche of other prehistoric sea birds such as pelagornis and ichthyornis that found in other regions. Miomancalla are also known for their eggs and defensive behaviour. Puffins and auks spend a majority of their time caring for their eggs, but will also protect chicks and their own mates from threats and predators. Instead of simply being a replacement for already existing sea birds in Ark Survival Evolved such as the previously mentioned pelagornis, Miomancalla will work more as a dive-bombing invasion mount that can survive in harsh environments, apply boots towards other tribe mates and tames, can also act as a moving trough for carnivorous and piscivorous, can hold multiple fish in its mouth (a natural fish basket) and will act as one of a few species of avians that can enter the water (this includes the hesperonis and ichthyornis, however unlike these two birds. The Miomancalla can be saddled). Design For the design and layout of Miomancalla tesca, it would be a mixture of three different Alcidae birds. For Miomancalla tesca, the wing and keel design would be very similar to the Razorbill's, as these are the closest flying relatives to the Great Auk, which is compared in size and design to Miomancalla. The pattern and texture present in the Razorbill would be the base for Miomancalla tesca. The variation of colour in this species is a collection of different shades (white, greys and black) along with bright colours such as orange, red and yellow that can be found on the bird's beak (the pattern on the beak can also be a bright white -based off of Alca torda) and its webbed feet. puffins to study ocean health ... oceana.org The second image of an avian that Miomancalla tesca would be based off of, would be the Atlantic Puffin (image above). Puffins have evolved to have spines that are known as denticles that allow these birds to hold various small fish within their beaks (puffins can hold up to 126 fish within their beaks). This unique adaption has evolved in Miomancalla tesca as a way of competing against other piscivorous species, but also as a way of being able to feed their young and maintain enough nutrients when flying to nesting grounds. The denticels that are present in Miomancalla have a more rough and razor texture, which allows this Auk to hold and lock prey within their beaks. This prevents prey from escaping and if attacked. The serrated edges on these teeth can result in enemies getting scratched up and in severe cases, injured (these birds will attack if they or their young are harmed or in danger). Great auk extinction: Humans wiped out ... bbc.com The third and final image of another species that Miomancalla tesca's design is based off of, is the Great Auk or Pinguinus impennis (image above). Being somewhat related, the two species of Auk were close in height and they have similar history (a close ancestor that would eventually create the clades Mancallinae and Alcidae). Well most auk species have very similar designs, the great auk would be a great base for the design. In fact the feet, small tail and beak of Miomancalla tesca show relation to P. impennis, but has the colourisation and texture found in razorbill auks and puffins. Abilities: These are our suggestions for Miomancalla. Being related to puffins, when Miomancalla are in groups or are mate-boosted. They can perform a method of "billing" (a method known in puffins where the birds rub their beaks together), which results in a buff or boost known as "Auk's Grace" which increases stamina and applies a 1-2 minute long time (depending on the level) of increased damage output, stamina and increased movement speed towards allied/other tribe members and their mounts. Miomancalla can dive bomb prey. This includes players, which could be a benefit for performing ambushes and raids on PvP servers. If a player is dive bombed, they can be stunned and physically snared by this attack. This also applies to other aquatic creatures such as ichythosaurus, carbonemys, mantas and megalodon. Alongside this ability to dive bomb, Miomancalla can spear prey with their beaks. Having a sharp curve on the tip of their beaks, these birds use this design to rip apart flesh. Miomancalla can also swallow certain prey sources whole (fish for example), this personal buff restores health, stamina and hunger, but also can apply these affects to the rider. When a Miomancalla attacks another creature or an opposing survivor, they have a chance (50%) of applying the ability "Pouched!" which applies a bleed affect due to the spines or denticles found in the birds upper palate (upper jaw). This affect also has a secondary chance of allowing the Miomancalla to grab enemies and inflect this bleed affect, without letting the target flee (25% chance) for about 10 seconds. Miomancalla also can receive experience faster than other prehistoric birds in Ark Survival Evolved, when they are cared for by a survivor, or are mate-boosted. This is due to the fact that many species of Alcidae like to socialise and share affection. Miomancalla have an insulation affect when saddled. These birds also have a debuff when underwater, towards the loss of oxygen in survivors (this also applies to increasing durability of scuba suits). These birds also can dive to the far depths of oceans and other water bodies without suffering damage from pressure. Can hold numerous fish in within their beaks, which can restore health and hunger. However, this also allows the Miomancalla to work as a moving trough that can feed other tamed (carnivorous) creatures. The fish that it hold can be instantly swallowed depending on their size, to apply a personal regeneration boost, can be killed and harvested for their meat within the birds beak, or have the settings adjusted which allows the the bird to automatically kill and transfer the fish meat to other carnivorous and omnivorous tames within that tribe (in the Miomancalla's proximity). The player can adjust the Miomancalla's behavioural settings to allow the avian species to work as a moving trough that can transfer meat to other carnivorous tames (this does drain the food in its inventory). Weaknesses In order to balance the abilities found in Miomancalla, we suggested a few disadvantages and weaknesses to not make this creature overpowered and unliked by the community, but also as way of suggesting methods of counteracting players who use this creature on PVP servers. When a Miomancalla decides to dive bomb an enemy, a survivor can use a net projectile, bear traps and ballistas to neutralize and stun the Miomancalla for a period of time (about 40 seconds). However, this does mean that the Miomancalla will not drown within this timeperiod if in water and can still apply debuffs such as "Pouched!" when trapped or stunned. On PVP servers, I would recommend using long range weaponry to try to counteract this creature's boosts and damage amplifiers as melee could result in tames and survivors getting hurt or possibly killed from its attacks. When trying to fight an opposing Miomancalla, use the environment against it. Having the advantage in cold (taiga, mountain and tundra) and coastal regions, fighting a Miomancalla in either swamps or temperate forests can work as a benefit for enemy players (I would recommend using the Miomancalla for applying boosts to other tames that can fight below through the foliage (it can apply these buffs when on the ground, and in the water)). If you tranq a Miomancalla, it will not be able to provide boosts and debuffs and will fall unconscious. Saddle An idea that I would imput into the saddle of this aquatic bird from another one of my suggested creatures, would be an alternative to the Argentavis. Unlocked at level 51, the Miomancalla has a saddle similar to the Equus and Argentavis, in the sense that it has a crafting system built into its saddle that allows the player to create aquatic based items such as: SCUBA Gear (Flippers, Scuba Tank, Scuba Leggings and Flippers) Fishing Rods Fishing Basket (Abberation) Fishing Nets (Genesis) Canoes Harpoon Guns Harpoon Spear Bolts (Tranq included) Possibly Boats (Rafts and Motarboat) and other Coastal based Items Location Having breeding grounds all around the map, the major regions of the map that host Miomancalla are the coastal regions and beaches of Vardiland, the islands off of Vannaland and the bodies of water around the ridged regions of the Snaerheimr Mountains. These large auk's can be found in groups near the large ocean that separate the islands apart, but they also have made various nesting ground on the many islands around the map. https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Mod:Fjordur The Coastal region of the bottom left island of Vardiliand and the northern island/region of Vannaland (this includes the four smaller islands around the map) are the locations that Miomancalla can be found. Roles These are our suggested roles for Miomancalla: An Artificial and Free Moving Carnivorous Trough and Fishing Basket - Can collect from 5-15 fish (depending on size and type - Coelacanth (10-15), Sabertooth Salmon (5-10), Lamprey (10) and Megapiranha/Piranha (2-3). Miomancalla can also have its behavioural settings edited by its owner to allow it to transfer meat to other carnivorous or omnivorous tames (removes the meat in the Miomancalla's inventory). Divebomber (PvP and PvE Role) - Unlike the Griffin, Snow Owl and Rock Drake that can glide and use their own dive bomb movements, the Miomancalla can dive bomb into water saddled with its rider intact and can stun surrounding creatures and/or players. The Miomancalla can also fly down and apply a 50% bleed affect to enemies if in combat, or snatch up entire schools of fish. Travelling Mount - Having incredible speed when underwater, this bird can work as both an aquatic and aerial mount that can help players explore the vast frozen environments of Fjordur. Miomancalla has a debuff towards the loss of oxygen in players, and increases the durability of SCUBA gear, but also applies an insulation affect. These birds can also settle at the water's surface (similar to a pelagornis) and restore stamina. Boost Mount - Miomancalla can apply two major boosts, buffs and debuffs, this includes: 1. Auk's Grace - "Auk's Grace" is a buff which increases stamina and applies a 1-2 minute long time (depending on the level of the creature) of increased damage output (melee damage), stamina and increased movement speed towards allied/other tribe members and their mounts. 2. "Pouched!" - "Pouched!" is a melee debuff that occurs if a Miomancalla is engaged in melee combat with another creature or an opposing survivor.   7. Wild Dossier: Of all the giants I've seen on the island, very few can compare to the majesty of the Giraffatitan. I first saw one of these creatures while travelling across the grasslands, but I heard it even before I saw it. The ground shook like an earthquake with every step it took, and it towered above the trees, even making brontos look small in comparison. They showed no interest towards me, and upon further observation, proved passive towards humans. However, they become extremely aggressive towards large carnivores. I witnessed a giga attempt to hunt a herd of these giants, and instead of fleeing in terror, they charged the beast! Led by the alpha male, they unleashed a piercing trumpet that brought me to my knees and left me disoriented, even from my observation spot far away. The alpha then reared up and proceeded to smash the giga's head like a watermelon. After further research, I can conclude that it's actually the spines on the back of its head that allows the Giraffatitan to make such loud calls, vibrating them to achieve different pitches. These calls are often used by the Giraffatitan to help it navigate its surroundings, much like whales do. When they detect a threat, they pursue it mercilessly. Although due to their large size, very few creatures even dare to be near them. They travel in herds of three, led by an alpha male. They spend most of their time eating, and as far as their territory goes, I've seen them range from the redwoods to the swamps, and all the way to the prairies. I've even seen them in the snowy regions of the north, if you can believe it! Domesticated: The sheer size and power of this dinosaur makes it a desirable target for any tribe. It can easily destroy the walls of any tribe's camp as well as buildings, it can even crumple metal like it was made of paper. For the more peaceful tribes, it's an excellent beast of burden, able to fell trees with ease to allow them to harvest their valuable sap. But its most desired quality is its defending nature. I've heard how shepherds used donkeys to defend their flocks from predators, and it seems this creature does them same. When a threat comes near, it's the females who sense it first and sound the alarm, while the male Giraffatitan will let out an alarming bellow that often frightens away most wild dinos. Some tribes have even taken weaponizing this creature a step further and modified a saddle for it that shoots harpoons. The rider sits safely on the creature's back and can fire multiple harpoon types from both sides of the Giraffatitan. I've seen fire-tipped harpoons and poisoned harpoons used so far, but who knows how many more could be made? It is a slow creature though, so it is often when in a war party, the giant is protected by smaller, faster tames to protect it from being overwhelmed. The power of this animal combined with its defensive capabilities makes the Giraffatitan the desire of any tribe. Game abilities: Alpha buff for highest level male, female ability to detect other creatures and identify threatening ones, male ability to trumpet a sound that uses the fear effect and boosts other Giraffatitans in its herd, boosted attack against structures and large carnivores, its forward smash drops sap when used on one of the giant redwoods. Attacks: Depends on where camera faces but includes normal front stomp, tail swipe, back kick, and a special attack that rears the Giraffatitan up on its hind legs, can possibly move forward in this position and then smash down doing high levels of damage. Stats: High health and high damage creature, but extremely slow and low stamina. Taming method: Tranquilize with harpoons, arrows and darts won't work I hope you like my ideas for this dinosaur!   8. Name: proterosuchus Length: 2,3 meters History: proterosuchus was a predator that lived in rivers and at the mouth of the sea. This animal has two natural enemies (sarcosuchus and kaprosuchus) . To survive and and hunt envolved and received defensive and attack abilities. Survival skills: In case of being attacked,it hits its tail against the ground and generates a cloud of dust that slows down predators smaller than the allosaurus . Attack skills : this creature developed three types of bite . The first is normal,the second produces 100 torpor and the third produce paralysis as boleadora,the largest animal that affects is carno. It is mountable. Useful for the domestication of aquatic and terrestrial creatures.

I've made a post about this creature and made a dossier on it. i will also go into detail again about its functions. with the news that a new creature vote will be coming to ark survival evolved i want to pitch my idea for a fantasy creature. Introducing The Dragon A large reptile a tad bigger than the Wyvern but has four legs a large tail and thick horns this creature is highly aggressive and will attack anything on sight. it has the capacity to carry creatures in its mouth and with its front hand claws. My Dragon compared to the boss has more combat abilities and have different variants. like the giga the dragon has a rage mode once it takes enough damage, it has a charge ability like the trike only instead of running and butting its head the dragon will stand on it hind legs and spin in a circle causing radius damage. The Dragon on top of its breath attack also has multiple melee attacks such as a tail whip, a slam and claw slash causing bleeding damage. This is mostly up to the developers but i planned to give this thing a TEK saddle that replaces it's melee attacks Breath Attack = Pulse Cannon Spin Attack = Grenade Barrage The variants will offer each a unique way to tackle the world: The Fire Variant is fire resistant and can quickly destroy metal with it's fire balls and fire roar and when they die you can harvest Prime Meat, Keratin and Organic Polymer The Electric Variant is Shock Resistant and it's roar launches an EMP that disables electronics but not TEK recharges for five minutes and can shoot paralyzing projectiles and when killed they give you Crystal and Gems The Element Variant is resistant to TEK attacks but with it's breath attack it can destroy TEK structures and armor and when killed they can give you Element Dust and it's breath attack can only be used if it has element in it's system. The Avian Variant is a bird like Dragon but it flies faster the the other Dragons and has a wind breath attack that can send survivors or dinos flying, i consider this one to be the weakest variant but it can carry a lot more and when killed it can give you Pelt and Fiber. To tame these creatures you need to knock them out like golems with a catapult, cannon or rocket launchers and feed them rare mushrooms. Note these animal can not be bred or cloned.   11. Have a rideable and breedable manticore '-' that can pick up dinos and have special attacks. You just have to steal the egg from a unknown location. But have the manticore in different types. So there multiple different ones Or Have the dragon like the one in the boss fight out flying around, laying eggs in a unknown area (like the wyverns) and allow them to have special attacks like you see on a mod. But have different types of those XD I like the manticore idea more tbh
  12. For my first post on here, I’d figure I’d test out my creature design skills; this isn’t necessarily a SERIOUS creature suggestion, and is not for the lost island as it is a fantasy critter. Just a fun little thought exercise. Modders and designers out there; I’m cool with you using the idea if you want btw! so… here goes Gargoyle (you’re free to give critique/comments about Gargy boy in the comments here! Just don’t treat it TOO seriously.) Species: Gargoyle Time: Holocene Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Sitting atop high castle rises and crouching inside of dank caverns, the Gargoyle has very mysterious origins that may even lie outside creation by the overseers. While in its dormant state, a Gargoyle appears to be made out of stone, much like the mundane statues it is named for. Once an enemy draws too near to a dormant gargoyle, the gargoyle will awaken, although this process may take a few seconds, enough for smarter prey to escape what would otherwise be a quick and painful death by the jaws of this beast. Once awakened, however, they are harder to escape. Their wings unfurl as they prepare to swoop down upon their enemies in vast number. Domesticated: While the ways to acquire a gargoyle are by no means easy, it may prove itself to be a very versatile tame once acquired. The gargoyle is incredibly loyal to its master, and depending on its magical core, has great armor to boot! It’s plethora of skills are sure to amaze anyone. Abilities: The gargoyle can fly, swoop, dive, and claw its way to victory, sensing nearby enemies with its astonishing hearing and being able to work as an alarm much like a Parasaur can. That’s not all this creepy creature can do! It can also turn to stone, making it immune to most attacks, buffs/debuffs, and hunger. However, this is not always recommended, considering it cannot regenerate health, benefit from buffs, eat food, or move or attack in this state. Its stone form is also vulnerable to attacks that can damage stone, causing it to lose health by a mere pickaxe hitting it… it’s especially vulnerable to roll rats, by the way. It’s other special ability is known as ‘soul drain’! Once a Gargoyle fells an enemy in battle, it’s core will absorb the soul of the creature, healing it all the whole giving it a buff to speed, attack, and health regen for a little bit! This ability does not stack and can only become active again after it wears off, meaning that, no, you cannot just constantly have soul drain on your gargoyle. The gargoyle is also quite powerful, being able to hit very hard and fly fast! Oh, and it’s very good at reducing inventory weight, has great weight, and CAN carry dinos. Taming: The Gargoyle has a very… strange way to tame it. First, one must unlock an engram for a ‘Gargoyle Core’. This will put a permanent primitive gargoyle core into the players inventory, not disappearing upon death. This core will act like a blueprint. To build what the core is blueprinting, one must collect ‘Gargshard’ from dormant Gargoyles. This is done by donning full gillie armor, sneaking up behind a wild dormant gargoyle, and mining it. The gargoyle will wake up, but during that waking up process you can still mine it before deciding to RUN, because it will NOT be happy this is a VERY risky quest to undergo, because while as powerful any tamed gargoyles are, wild gargoyles are ALSO a whole hell to deal with. Once enough Gargshard is acquired, a Gargoyle can be crafted! Yes, CRAFTED! Once crafted, it will spawn in its dormant form, tamed, and ready for the player to wake it up… except, if you used your engram gargoyle core… it will always spawn at level 10 with the natural armor of a primitive saddle. … What? That’s right! Gargoyle cores, which can spawn in loot crates, have varying levels of quality! The natural armor and level of your gargoyle entirely depend on the quality of its core, and as with any other item quality, the better the core, the more Gargshards you will need. Non-engram cores will be used up upon creation of a Gargoyle. Here’s a list of Gargoyle core qualities and their respective levels! Primitive: 10 with the armor of a primitive saddle. Ramshackle: 30 with the armor of a ramshackle saddle. Apprentice: 60 with the armor of an apprentice saddle. Journeyman: 100 with the armor of a journeyman saddle. Mastercraft: 150 with the armor of a mastercraft saddle. Ascendant: 200 with the armor of an ascendant saddle. Now that the main thing is done, here’s a TLDR; Gargoyle Pros: -No saddle needed -Natural armor -When landed, one can toggle the option to make the Gargoyle dormant. This will make it immune to damage, debuffs, and hunger drain via turning it to stone. It can also be set to aggressive in this mode to make it into a sort of ‘Guard-goyle’, like a buried reaper on aggressive. -Senses MOVING enemies like a 24/7, short-ranged tek helmet. -Can dive like a gryphon -Can fly -Reduces the weight of stone, Crystal, and other rocky stuff in inventory. -High weight -High damage -High health -Decent speed -Gets a temporary buff upon killing something. This buffs regenerates health, increases damage dealt, and increases speed. -Does a scream with the c button (it’s not that special it just sounds cool, maybe strikes fear into smaller things like a smaller yuty roar idk) -Can carry dinos like an argy or Crystal wyvern can. -Not too big, between size of an argy and a Crystal wyvern. Can fit into smaller spaces better! -Can be set to turret mode to sense enemies like a Para can -SUPER good at gathering chitin/keratin. -Resistant to some debuffs. Debuffs that are either/or will instead have their duration reduced. For example, with a Yuty roar, you’re either afraid or not afraid. With the Gargoyle, you’re afraid, just afraid for half as long as you usually would be. Cons: -Incredibly hard to tame. While it IS a powerful tame, this thing requires you to sneak up, full ghilly armor, behind a wild version of SAID POWERFUL TAME, and sit right next to it to mine Gargshards and pray that you can run away fast enough. THEN, to ensure it’s a good tame, you have to search all over through a bunch of lootcrates to find a good quality Gargoyle core, get more Gargshards because said good quality core ain’t cheap, and THEN make the gargoyle, which cannot be bred. -While dormant, a gargoyle cannot regen health or benefit from buffs. It also is vulnerable to attacks that can break naturally formed stone (pickaxes, roll rats, ankys, etc). -Cannot sense still enemies. -Stamina is ehhhh -Takes a teeny bit to wake up from its dormant state, this delay can mean a big difference in battle. -The soul sucking buff from killing things can only be gained again after it wears off. -Charge light forces it out of dormancy. -Resistant to debuffs does not mean immune: it’s not put to a snails pace by a reaper cocoon like other creatures, BUT it is still slowed down.   13. New species are being seen around the ARKs. Some are harmless, others are aggressive, but all are not naturally seen in the ARKs. These are Invasive Species, and more are coming...Through the ARK: Invasive Species Mod! ARK: Invasive Species is a creature addition mod designed around incorporating animals into the ARK to fill the niches of at least two other existing animals in the ARK! This mod will introduce five new animals: - Achelousaurus: These ceratopsians of the redwoods are fairly calm and collected animals, despite their imposing appearance. They serve as powerful battering rams, using their blunt rock embedded crests to launch small to medium sized foes or to smash into enemy bases. - Albertosaurus: Living in prides in polar and redwood regions, these tyrannosaurs pose no threat to humans. That said, they have strong social bonds and an even stronger kick that would kill any survivor that gets under it. They also actively challenge Yutys, counting their fearsome roars with roars that inspire courage in even the most terrified individuals. - Hybodus: The small sharks live in packs for mutual survival. They thrive in the shallows and rivers of the ARKs, feeding on fish and shellfish, the latter of which they are especially good at getting pearls and keratin out of. - Platecarpus: This smaller mosasaur is much more relaxed and approachable than its larger cousin. Immune to the effects of ammonite’s ink, they serve as the only major predator to Ammonites and can harvest their bile with few problems. Their salty crests can also provide a tribe easy access to otherwise scarcely found salt. - Tundra Monk Seal: these large seals may appear cuddly, but they have a loud and boisterous alarm that spooks off pests and smaller predators. They also serve as excellent traveling companions along the coasts and deep waters, with their fat keeping you warm and protected both above and below water.
