  1. Common Name: Hatzegopteryx Species: Hatzegopteryx Thambema Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperment: Skittish WILD These Wild Hatzegopterx latch themselves onto the floating islands of The Center using their sharp claws to pierce even the toughest rocks. Survivors have said upon approaching it in the wild it lets out a loud disorienting screech and flees leaving survivors dazed. DOMESTICATED Finding these large Pterosaurs is challenging, but keep your eyes peeled when traveling the floating islands of The Center, as the Hatze have a brightly coloured mantle making them stand out in the shadows. Hold on tight! As taming this giant of the sky requires you to Grapple to its back all while force feeding the Hatze its prefered feed. Once tamed the Hatze makes a great all round flying mount for aerial combat using its huge claws to latch onto the largest of dinosaurs, leaving them bleeding. The Hatze can carry smaller dinos in its giant beak while carrying larger dinos in its claws, its size can be decieving being one of the fastest birds in its class, being able to dive at great hights due to its large wing span. The Hatzegopteryx has multiple saddles including a Mounted turret saddle which was mastered by survivors who dedicated their studies to this great flyer. Hatzegopteryx inhabites The Center and is the apex predator of the sky, tackling larger prey in flocks and using its loud screech to deter others.
  2. DESCRIPTION: The Pycnonemosaurus is a captivating medium-sized dinosaur inhabiting the diverse landscape of the ARK. Adorned with a unique array of sharp spines along its back, this creature boasts a remarkable defensive adaptation, warding off potential threats. Its most astounding trait is the uncanny ability to seamlessly blend into its surroundings, enabling it to become a master of stealth and ambush tactics. As a versatile omnivore, the Pycnonemosaurus has the capacity to feast on both flora and fauna. Its superior camouflage grants it the prowess to approach prey undetected and strike from the shadows, establishing its dominance as a top predator. Displaying characteristics akin to raptors and direwolves, the Pycnonemosaurus forms tightly-knit packs, led by an alpha figure. Upon successful taming, the Pycnonemosaurus becomes a prized asset for any tribe. Its natural gift for camouflage can be harnessed for defense, rendering it an adept guardian of bases or a formidable surprise assailant. The pack's cohesive strength is further elevated by the leadership of the alpha, culminating in an entity that exceeds the sum of its parts. While the Pycnonemosaurus thrives on a diet of both plant matter and meat, a balanced sustenance regimen is crucial for its optimal health and pack loyalty. The delicate balance must be maintained to ensure the alpha's effectiveness and the unity of the pack. It is imperative to note that while the Pycnonemosaurus exhibits loyalty, its survival instincts may trigger the abandonment of a faltering or overwhelmed alpha. Taming and nurturing this extraordinary creature demands an acute comprehension of its behaviors, coupled with the cultivation of trust to foster an unbreakable bond between you and your pack's distinguished leader. TAMING: To tame a Pycnonemosaurus, you need to approach the alpha, then it will start an immitation ritual, as the ritual goes by, slowly walk closer to the alpha until you can feed it, similar to a moschops, it will ask for any herbivore or carnivore taming food and you'll have to provide it, once tamed, the spikes on the back of the Pycnonemosaurus provide a safe way to travel without a saddle, once tamed, the alpha will get a 5 minute effect that makes all other Pycnonemosaurus passive to it and the player so you can get away from the pack safely. Once tamed, remember to keep it well-fed, a starving Pycnonemosaurus will leave the player and attack it's former allies for food ABILITIES: • Pycnonemosaurus can eat both plants and meat • Pycnonemosaurus will have an attack or stamina buff and debuff depending on what you feed it, feed it prime meat and it will deal more damage and have less stamina, feed it crops and it will have more stamina less attack • Pycnonemosaurus can camouflage • Pycnonemosaurus has a pack bonus like raptors and direwolves • Pycnonemosaurus' spikes will give back 50% of the damage dealt against Pycnonemosaurus • Pycnonemosaurus' spikes act as a natural saddle
  3. Authors Amanit and MUSH1 Hello survivors, I present to you the Rajasaurus. It seems to me that the game currently lacks dinosaurs that could give buffs to allies. Rajasaurus would become a faithful assistant for any player, as he is able to increase the maximum weight of allies in a certain radius from him as a percentage. Also, the Rajasaurus itself has a high maximum carry weight. In addition to passive abilities, he is distinguished by a debilitating bite and a special roar, but first things first. Basic information: Common Name: Rajasaurus Species: Rajasaurus narmadensis Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Сarnivor Temperament: Aggressive Wild This large theropod can be easily identified by its powerful hind limbs and a single horn on its forehead. Rajasaurs tend to migrate frequently, covering great distances. For representatives of their kind, they are very calm, but if you lose your vigilance, you can easily say goodbye to life. His bites quickly exhaust the victim to such an extent that by the end of the fight she cannot even stand up. If the Rajasaurus is severely wounded, it lets out a loud scream and quickly runs away. Domesticated Rajasaurus is highly valued among nomadic tribes. His resilience in travel lends strength to surrounding allies, and they can carry heavy loads more easily. If the caravan is attacked by predators or bandits, the Rajasaurus emits its trademark roar, which helps allies to flee or defend themselves. Saddle: The Rajasaurus saddle has no special properties. Drops: Hide Raw meat Raw prime meat Passive Abilities: • Rajasaurus has a high maximum carry weight, and this indicator improves better than others. • Rajasaurus has an aura that increases the maximum carry weight of allies. The percentage by which the maximum carry weight increases and the radius of the ability can be improved in the characteristics of the dinosaur (they are improved separately from each other). The higher the level of a wild Rajasaurus, the higher these characteristics. However, it will be quite difficult to improve these characteristics, so do not flatter yourself. The weight increase effect will continue to work after exiting the Rajasaurus aura, but only for 15 seconds. Active abilities: •- Bite strike that reduces the target's maximum carry weight . Each bite on the target reduces the maximum carry weight by 5% for 10 seconds. The effect is such that the maximum carry weight cannot be reduced by more than 80%. If the target is a wild creature, then its speed is correspondingly reduced by 5% per bite for 10 seconds, up to 80%. Bite damage base 45 HP. With a bite, the Rajasaurus dismantles corpses, receiving such resources as: Hide Raw meat Raw prime meat Keratin Chitin Raw fish Raw prime fish Organic polymer Pelt • - the roar that increases the speed and reduces the consumption of endurance of allies who are close to the rajasaurus, and the rajasaurus itself . The effectiveness of the buff depends on the state of health of the rajasaurus: 100% - 80% HP - +5% speed and +5% reduction in stamina consumption; 80% - 60% HP - +15% speed and +15% reduction in stamina consumption; 60% - 40% HP - 20% speed and 20% reduction in stamina consumption; 40% - 20% HP - 25% speed and 25% reduction in stamina consumption; 20% - 1% HP - 30% speed and 30% reduction in stamina consumption. The roar effect lasts 45 seconds, and the roar itself has a 30 second cooldown. [C] - menacing roar. It has no function other than aesthetic. •[Left-Ctrl] - Rajasaurus uses its strong legs to extract resources in small quantities, namely: Fiber Thatch Wood Taming: The taming of the Rajasaurus is standard, forced (Your suggestions are welcome). However, once the stun hits 70%, it will let out its signature roar and its speed will increase by 30%, so to stun it, you have to be on a fast creature or trap it beforehand. Rajasaurus stun decays faster than others. Favorite food: Extraordinary kibble Raw lamb Breeding: Breeding in Rajasaurus is standard, but the maturation of a young individual differs from other creatures. Young Rajasaurs are very moody and require attention more often than other creatures (once every 4 hours). For one fulfilled desire, affection is filled by 20%. However, every time the time for a new desire comes, the little Rajasaurus will start screaming loudly, and it will continue to do so even after the attachment reaches 100%. If you ignore the desires of the Rajasaurus, then after a while his affection will begin to sink, so do not make his majesty wait long. Approximate base specs: Health: 700 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 150 Food: 2600 Weight: 800 Additional Information: Rajasaurus can carry: Wyvern Quetzalcoatl Tusoteuthis Affected: Large Bear Trap Can damage: Thatch Wooden Possible uses for Rajasaurus: Buffer, which will become a faithful assistant in the extraction of any resources, as you can carry much more at a time. • Improvement for the base. Putting the Rajasaurus in the center of the base will make it easier for the tribe members and their creatures to move around. • Fighting pet. Its unique abilities will help its masters in combat, as the Rajasaurus will force opponents to stand like pillars, and its accelerating roar will help allies escape in case of danger or catch up with a fast target. • Resource collector. Rajasaurus has a large weight and is able to extract straw, wood and fiber, therefore it can act as a resource collector. • Good vehicle. While on the Rajasaurus, you can escape most creatures by slowing them with a debilitating bite and using a roar. However, the Rajasaurus itself is a fairly fast creature. It seems to me that the use of most creatures in the ARK is limited only by the fantasy of the survivors, so you can always experiment). Thank you all for your attention! You can learn about the real Rajasaurus here: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajasaurus
  4. Authors Amanit and MUSH1 Hello survivors, I present to you Helicoprion. Jellyfish and eels have always irritated me when traveling underwater. Their electric shocks are just terrible. That is why I want to offer you a helicoprion, which will become a nightmare for electric creatures and, in combination, their king. I also want to offer a new craft, but first things first. Basic information: Common Name: Helicoprion Species: Helicoprion bessonowi Time: Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Helicoprion from afar can be confused with megalodon. However, if you swim closer, which you should not do, you will inapplicably notice a huge disk of teeth on the lower jaw. In this case, you need to quickly carry your legs! These terrible predators are able to open any armor like tin cans. Especially dangerous are males who care for females. It is also important to remember about the ability of males to accumulate electricity in spikes, which begin to glow with the accumulation of charge. With this ability, they can perform electric shocks that incapacitate opponents. Domesticated To subdue this sea thunderer, the survivors will have to work hard and risk their lives more than once. First you need to charm the female by defeating several angry males in her presence. Females are weaker and do not have the power of electricity, therefore they are tamed in order to subsequently subdue the male. However, if you overcome all difficulties, you will have an incredible fighting companion. With his power of electricity and a disk of teeth, you can crush any opponents! Saddle: The saddle does not have special properties (except for the new craft, but more on that later), but it will cost quite a lot and be unlocked at high levels. Drops: Raw Fish Raw Prime Fish Fragment of a Dental Spiral A fragment of a dental spiral will be a guaranteed trophy from a helicoprion carcass. It will be used in the crafting of acne and jellyfish repellant. After drinking this decoction, you begin to exude helicoprion pheromones, so jellyfish and eels become shy and run away from you. The effect lasts 15 minutes. Passive Abilities: • Thanks to the dental spiral, the helicoprion is able to break the armor of survivors at twice the speed. This ability also allows him to ignore 50% of the saddle armor of tamed creatures, so be careful with him! • Helicoprions prey on other electrical creatures, so electrophoruses and cnidarians are terrified of them (if jellyfish and fish can be afraid at all), since their electric shocks do not cause any harm to helicoprions. Active abilities: • - a bite blow that quickly breaks through the armor of survivors and ignores 50% of the armor of the saddles of tamed creatures. The base damage from the bite of a male is 70 HP. The base damage from the bite of a female is 45 HP. With a bite, the helicoprion dismantles corpses, receiving such resources as: Hide Raw meat Raw prime meat Keratin Chitin Raw fish Raw Prime Fish Organic polymer Pelt - electric shock. Only males have them. The strength and range of the strike depend on how charged the spikes of the helicoprion are. From 0% to 100%, the energy scale fills in 50 seconds, that is, 2% per second. The higher the charge level, the greater the damage, range and stun time of the enemy. The maximum stun time is 10 seconds. Shock Damage - X3 bite damage at max charge, so base damage will be 210 HP. If the Helicoprion sticks its nose out of the water, the impact will be weaker (2X damage) and the electric wave will be shorter, but it will spread through the targets like a chain, creating an electrical circuit. If a Helicoprion with a fully charged energy bar strikes electricity vertically upwards, there is a small chance that a thunderstorm will start. There are ways to speed up the filling of the energy scale: • One bio toxin fed to Helicoprion gives it 4% energy bar filling. • The energy bar fills up when the Helicoprion is shocked by Electrophoruses and Cnidarians, however, since they run away when the Helicoprion approaches, they must first be chased and “rubbed” against them, causing a discharge. • If a saddle is put on a helicoprion, then out of 200 bio toxins in its inventory it will be possible to make a special elixir, which speeds up the recharge of the energy scale by half for 5 minutes. That is, from 0% to 100% the scale will fill in 25 seconds. Does not affect other energy sources. •[C] - release pheramones. This ability works only for the female and is needed to tame the male. When the pheramones are released, all nearby males begin to follow your female and are neutral towards you. Taming: Helicoprion females are weaker than males and do not have electrical abilities. Their dental spirals are smaller, and therefore bites are weaker. However, they are also afraid of electrophoruses and cnidarians. They have a neutral behavior. Short version of taming: You can tame a female by defeating a male in a duel and taking fragments of his spiral disk. After that, with the help of the female, you arrange a "tournament among males" in which the strongest will win and you can brand the winner. Full version of taming: If you want to get a male, you first have to tame a female. To do this, you need to prepare iron armor and a shield (several sets are better!). Also, items that restore HP will not be superfluous. Then you find a female who is courted by a male (females always spawn with males, only males can spawn separately). In order for the male to perceive you as a rival, you need to take a decoction of a fragment of a dental coil to exude pheromones. In this case, the male will start a duel with you, which will be watched by his female. A male that enters duel mode will deal half damage as usual and will not use electric shock. You need to block his attacks with shield and armor, the higher the level of the male (the level of the male corresponds to the level of the female), the more hits he can make before his spiral disk completely becomes unusable. During the duel, the male will break off his teeth, three of which will fall out in the process, and when he is left without teeth (10-25 blows), he will lose the battle and swim away. If you survive the battle, then you will need to pick up the fallen teeth and make a "necklace of helicoprion teeth", the crafting of which will open in the early levels of the game. After you give this necklace to the female, and she becomes yours. It is important to remember that the female will accept the necklace only if you defeat the male. Once you have tamed a female, you have the option to tame a male. When you find a suitable candidate, you release pheromones and he begins to follow your female. Together you find another male helicoprion and release pheromones again. The males start a duel and the one who first lowers the opponent's HP below 30% wins. The loser swims away and the winner returns to the female. Taming progress is filled at the winner after the end of the battle. The higher the level of the male, the more battles he needs to tame, the level of his rivals also plays a role. The difficulty is to find enough helicoprions, and they will not be very common. I hope you are not confused. Breeding: There is nothing unusual in breeding helicoprions. Approximate base specs: Health: 2200 Stamina: 750 Food: 3000 Weight: 800 Additional Information: Helicoprion can carry: Tusoteuthis Can damage: Thatch Wooden Stone Possible uses of helicoprion: • Excellent vehicle. Helicoprions are fast and strong, they are also not touched by cnidarians and electrophoruses, so you can comfortably travel on them across the ocean expanses. • Battle comrade. Thanks to the ability of helicoprions to bite through armor and electric shock over the area, they are able to compete with even the largest inhabitants of the depths of the island. • Resource collector. It will be convenient to get fish and other seafood on the Helicoprion. • Anti-aircraft gun against flyers. The electric wave of the Helicoprion does not work as well on land as in water, but it is still capable of shooting down unwary fliers flying close to the water. It seems to me that the use of most creatures in the Ark is limited only by the imagination of the survivors, so you can always experiment). Thank you all for your attention! You can find out about the real helicoprion here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicoprion
  5. Irritator Aqualatrare! Wild A creature with a most fitting name, Irritator Aqualatrare is a medium sized carnivore. These voracious pack hunters hang out around other Spinosaurids. Upon discovering their prey, Irritator first bark at the target repeatedly. This insistent barking appears to both lower their prey's guard, and call other nearby spinosaurids to their aid. Irritator's aggression towards survivors appears to be quelled when survivors approach on or with their own spinosaurids. An intrepid survivor may even hunt with Irritator in order to gain its trust. Domesticated Irritator Aqualatrare has niche use as a mount, allowing their rider to safely move around other spinosaurids. It's smaller stature prevents it from being proficient at carrying weight or fighting alone. Where Irritator truly excels is in its unique ability to empower a tribes nearby spinosaurids as if they were part of the pack. Survivors can also use Irritator's bark to weaken their foes. Meet the Irrirtator A smaller carnivore, they are typically found roaming near rivers, swamps, anywhere baryonx and spinosaurus roam. Slower and weaker than raptors, their wild power comes from their ability to drop your defenses and call spinosaurids to their aid. The Bark Irritator packs begin combat by "barking" at their target from a medium distance, this process takes a few seconds but applies a defense debuff to the target. The power of the bark depends on how many irritator participate with a cap around ~3 irritators. The Pack Irritator's pack buff is quite minor, only providing a small attack & defense increase. Nearby allied baryonx and spinosaurus (Wild spinosaurids for wild irritator) are welcomed into an irritator pack, providing them with the same bonuses and an additional one. Spinosaurus and Baryonx gain a DOT bleed effect to barked targets while in an irritator pack- a devastating combo. The Mount Irritator is essentially a raptor that can swim as far as mounts go- albeit slower on land. It has a niche benefit of not drawing the aggro of any wild spinosaurids when ridden. This could allow you to slip by large threats without needing to fight. If riding the alpha of the pack, you can initiate the "barking" by right clicking while looking at a valid target. The Taming Irritator are naturally aggressive towards players, however, if a player is near or riding a spinosaurid themself the irritator is neutral. While they are neutral you are able to assist their hunting in order to gain their trust. Killing creatures they "bark" at will progress taming. This includes while they bark, allowing you a few seconds to kill the target before the Irritator even get close to it. Hopefully making for a fun taming process!
  6. Dossier Info: Common Name: Siats Species Name: Siats Meekerorum Time Period: Late Cretaceous Temperament: Aggressive Wild The Siats Meekerorum is one of the most unique creatures within the ARKs. Due to its uniquely shaped teeth and glands within its maw it is able to store various chemicals within it’s mouth that it harvests from various creatures blood, these chemicals could be used to make various concoctions. The Siats is also quite large being only slightly smaller than that of the Tyrannosaurs. The Siats spends most of its day hunting and spending the nights sleeping. Domesticated Once a Siats has been domesticated it is one of most useful and unique companions. They are strong enough to hold their own against some of the other larger predators and are naturally intimidating to smaller pests. Not to mention being able to put their stored chemicals to use. Taming Process: The Siats is tamed by using a new item called Bug Brew (Bug Brew is crafted using: Chitin, Death Worm Horns, Oil, Organic Polymer, Rhyniognatha Pheremone, Silk, and Water). Next, you must wait for the Siats to fall asleep ans sneak up to it and feed it Bug Brew to begin the taming process. Once the Siats wakes up a spot on its body will be marked you must then hit the spot with a harpoon until it roars in pain, once it roars you must feed it biotoxin until its torpor reaches full and it is knocked out, you must then feed it taming food (Meat or Extraordinary Kibble). Abilities: Actions - Primary Attack - A slow low damage basic bite Charged Bite - A attack that can be charged and held doing more damage than the Primary Attack but is much slower *If performed while held by a Rhyniognatha it will cause it to drop the Siats Stomp - The Siats stomps its foot causing nearby creatures to be knocked back Chemically Infused Roar - The Siats roars and gives off spit particles the creature hit will be affected by the concoction selected (Shown in the bottom left similar to Deinopithicus) Roar - A roar for cosmetic and roleplay purposes Passive Abilities - Pest Intimidation - Small aggressive creatures naturally avoid Siats Pest Control - Siats takes reduced damage from all agressive small creatuers Exterminator - Siats is immune to the Rhyniognatha’s englued effect Chemical Extraction - Certain creatures and breakables will give chemicals when harvested by Siats Saddle Ability - Within the Siats’s saddle you can craft various concoctions using various chemicals harvested by Siats. Here are some examples: Speed Concoction - Grants the Siats much faster movement speed for a short duration at the cost of temporarily reduced health, crsfted using water and Gali Chemicals Defence Concoction - Makes the Siats take reduced damage for a short duration at the temporary cost of significant movement speed Rage Concoction - Temporarily increase the Siats’s attack speed at the cost of defence *These are just examples they could be changed and more could be added. *Will make dossier if people are intrested enough.
  7. The Dakotaraptor Is a dino that lived late Cretaceous and was bigger than than his cousin utahraptor and Its long legs made it a better and faster runner than the other big meat-eaters at the time like Tyrannosaurus, and it may have hunted in packs. The dino will focus more on speed and damage while its healthy will be more like allosaurus and stamina like raptor(since its from the same family). Abilities: 1: It Gains A pack buff with other dakotaraptors or raptors. 2: It does bleed damage on its enemies (can be stacked). 3: Most Big Carnivores like rexes will tend to ignore it even when the player rides it(except giga or carcha). 4: It can Knock you off Your tame If you go near it. 5: It can Make automatically wild raptors follow you and defend you until they die(max 4)(Only while the player is riding it and it has more than 65% hp) (Dosent work when it has a pack with tamed dinos)(raptors need to be lower level) 6: (pack-member)When it uses its secondary attack it gets 50% damage reduction to herbivores and also making them scared of it(even mammoth)while the pack will be even able to destroy structures(Non-tek)(lasts 15 seconds). 7:(pack-leader)When it uses its secondary attack it gets 75% damage reduction to herbivores and also making them scared of it(even mammoth)while the pack will be even able to destroy structures (even tek)while itself being able to go 5x speed.(attack doesn't stop until its stamina runs out.) Locations: It will mostly Be Found Roaming The Redwoods Or Mountains. Taming Method: It will be a Passive tame but before taming you will need to feed it a raptor body.(only raptor) Thanks For Reading Till Now! Hopefully Dakotaraptor Gets Added Into The Game! That's All And Don't Forget To Vote If You Like It!
  8. Hi and welcome to the Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris vote page! Here we will persuade you into voting for Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris, first off with how Estemmenosuchus would work! Estemmenosuchus would be a mid-late game tame, with it’s saddle being achieved at level 40 or 45, Estemmenosuchus would get a hydration buff when in contact with water, and when deep underwater it will enter an “Manic Frenzy” state, where it will have increased speed, bite force and bite speed, however, Estemmenosuchus will have counters to it such as being unridable if it gains big levels of torpor and/or not being fed. Now, onto the Dossier! Common name: Estemmeno Species name: Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris Time: Mid Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild Few words other than terrifying can describe Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris, I've had various nightmares about being torn to shreds by these monsters. I can't stress enough just how dangerous an encounter with Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris is, they aren't like any other Estemmenosuchus specimen, they are far different, they're aggressive, strictly carnivorous, and lay eggs, almost as if most of their genetics have been modified heavily. Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris seems to hold a grudge against other therapsids, as in will specifically target them if they're in the same vacinity as the creature, now, I don't know if this is a silly rumor, but I've heard that Estemmenosuchus seem to go insane underwater and begin to bite like crazy! Might just be a myth, but better safe than sorry. Domesticated I don't know of anyone who has been brave enough (and/or dumb enough) to try and attempt taming an Estemmenosuchus Ultimadentaris specimen, in fact, I don't think anyone has tamed one as of yet, however, I know of many survivors who show an interest in taming Estemmenosuchus, which checks out, their amazing hunting capabilities as well as their increased speed when under pressure can make a formidable tame. Perhaps the way to tame them is to lure them towards a creature it can kill or hates like Moschops or Dimetrodon, and aiding the Estemmenosuchus to kill it, maybe gaining it's trust? I view killing a creature as versatile as moschops may look like a waste for some survivors, but for a creature like Estemmenosuchus? Seems like a fair trade. Images and more coming soon, stay tuned! Passive Ability - "Fear the unknown" If Estemmenosuchus encounters you at night, rather than attacking you it will stare at you, if you are (dumb enough) to near it after this stare, it will trigger a chase sequence, where Estemmenosuchus will follow you rapidly and will only stop if you're outside it's aggro range, or Estemmeno is killed. Attack 1 - Left Mouse hold. If you click simply with left mouse, then Estemmenosuchus will just bite the foe, however, if you hold it, you'll see a meter charge up, as Estemmenosuchus holds up it's mouth and then clamps down it's jaws on the prey, holding them in place while attatched to it. Here we can see an example of it, an Estemmenosuchus infinetly clamping the force of 1000 suns down on a pegomastax, who f'd around and found out
  9. Common Name: Gorgonops Species: Gorgonops secutor Time: Late Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: “Gorgnops secutor has the most developed sense of smell I’ve witnessed among the local wildlife. It’s a hunter in every sense of the word: once it memorizes the scent of its next prey, it will seek it out anywhere, no matter how far it runs. Gorgonops prefers to take its time to bring down its target, since it’s no fast runner. Its unqiue way of storing charge light allows it fend off the many dangerous creatures that could potentially threaten its life. Furthermore, its sturdy physique allows it to resist venom and toxins that would knock out or even kill any other creature of the same size. That means Gorgonops doesn’t have to worry about snake bites, bug stings, poison gas and such! Good thing it’s not so ravenous to devour anything it smells!” Domesticated: “I’ve met some ingenious survivors who specialized in training their Gorgonops as bloodhounds. This beast’s smelling is so masterly, it can be taught to recognize the scent of just about anything. Wild herbivores, tamed creatures, enemy survivors, you name it! It can even learn to detect hidden traps or treasures! Its unique method of charge light can make traversing the many dangerous caverns and raditaion easier. Moreover, tracking creatures such as Parasaurus are able to detect threats from greater distances, with a tamed Gorgonops’ help. But that’s not all: thanks to its durability, survivors can use Gorgonops to carry knocked out creatures on a special transport sledge.” Introduction: Greetings, survivors! I introduce to you the stalker of scent; the Gorgonops! The foundational ideas and selling points for this therapsid include: Role as a tracker and taming assistant Taming method involving kidnapping Ability to find max-level creatures Immunity to torpor and toxins Enhances the tracking abilities of other creatures Can drag unconscious creatures to safer locations for taming Is a moving Mountable Charge Light Pet due to the Charge Light stored in its fur. The Gorgonops has repeatedly appeared in votes and makes it to the Top 10 consistently, but hasn’t made it through. As one of ARK’s scrapped creatures and one of the few from the mainstream to have not made it into the game, this concept for Aberration will give it time to shine. Wild: Gorgonops most often patrol the Blue and Red zones of Aberration, though they may occasionally appear in the Green Zone as well. Their incredible sense of smell allows them to detect creatures in a wide range around them. Not being very fast, they tend to go after specifically slower prey, which includes survivors. They’re patient, and will track down their targets until an opportunity presents itself. In the Blue and Red Zones, they guard something valuable. Taming Process: G. In these dens, they will store food and raise their pups isolated from the outside world. Survivors can enter these dens and kidnap the pups for themselves. However, parents have increased aggression towards anything within the vicinity of their dens, gaining a parental buff. The owners of the den will need to be dealt with in whatever way a survivor desires, and ensure that they can collect the pups in relative safety. From there, survivors will need to tend to the young beast’s needs until they are satisfied and reach adulthood. Tamed: Congratulations! You’ve successfully tamed a Gorgonops! With such a fierce predator and expert tracker in your hands, its utility will be immeasurable. Actions: Primary Attack (, , ): A basic bite attack. This ignores armor. Secondary Attack (, , ): The Gorgonops raises its nose to the air and takes in a scent. A reticle will appear, allowing for aim. Creatures sniffed out by a Gorgonops will be permanently tracked until they sniff out a different target. The current target will have their level and stats revealed like HLNA. Learning the scent of a specific animal will allow the Gorgonops to passively identify others of that species in the future. They can also identify the smells of objects like traps and explorer notes. Roar (Click C, , ): A strictly cosmetic roar. Jump (Press Space, , ): A basic jump. Cannot jump with the Gorgonops Sled Saddle. Passive Abilities: Autoalert: Like a Parasaur, the Gorgonops can detect specific threats. Because of its sense of smell, it can better pinpoint specific species. However, it needs to have been exposed to the scent before in order to properly warn their masters. Immunities: Gorgonops are immune to the effects of torpor, poisons, and radiation. Gorgonops Den: In their inventory, survivors can craft a den like those found in the wild. This structure can house anything up to the size of an adult Gorgonops and can store food like a trough. Babies will be able to eat from the stored reserves, and will grow at a faster rate while in the den. There is also notable insulation. Treasure Hunting: When idle, Gorgonops have a chance to uncover rare resources, equipment, blueprints that are added to their inventory. The quality of unearthed gear is entirely random. Tracking Buff: Nearby creatures with similar tracking ability such as Parasaurs, Troodons, and Direwolves have their own detection range increased in the presence of a Gorgonops. Sled Saddle: The Gorgonops has a standard Gorgonops Saddle. A more advanced Gorgonops Sled Saddle can be constructed as well. Unconscious creatures can be placed onto the sled and transferred to a different location. Multiple Gorgonops may be required to drag larger creatures. Two for a Rex, three for a Bronto, etc. Having this saddle equipped prevents jumping. Charge Light: Like its smaller bretheren, Gorgonops has charge light that it stores in the fure along its body. This build up of light allows it to fend of creatures like the Nameless and Reapers. This can be drained and recharged like the normal charge pets Parental Buff (Wild Only): In the presence of their own pups, wild Gorgonops receive a buff that increases damage output and damage resistance. Pups raised by survivors don’t develop this behavior. Utility & Scenarios: PvE: Gorgonops provide lots of use when it comes to taming creatures. Their scent being able to identify the levels and stats of creatures makes finding worthy tames far easier. Bringing unconscious creatures to safety as they tame is also incredibly helpful. If you need to return to a particular creature later since you don’t have the resources, you can leave the creature marked and come back once you’re ready. The Gorgonops Den is great for raising babies with the growth buff and food reserves. The den can also act as a temporary base when on the go. Digging up valuable treasure is certainly valuable in itself. Gorgonops may see use in swamps and other areas with lots of venomous insects and beasts. PvP: Gorgonops make for great base defenders. Their autoalert defining specific species is paired well with Parasaurs who identify particular groups of enemies, now at an increased range. In the midst of a fight, their fangs come into good use when ignoring armor of all kinds, allowing them to deal high damage to normally beefy targets. If a target is sent on the run, the Gorgonops can pick up on their scent and hunt them down until they’re caught. Sniffing out traps can ease raiding by helping raid parties avoid disaster. The main thing to note is that the Gorgonops isn’t a great fighter. It operates more as an ambushing assassin that ganks when opportunities present themselves. Directly involving themselves in battle leaves them vulnerable to creatures who fill those bruising roles better. Conclusion: If there is any creature that truly deserves to join the roster of ARK, it is the Gorgonops. Countless entries in previous submissions with a wide variety of ideas show that this creature can work! In the last map of the original ARK storyline, bringing back a scrapped creature, and a popular one at that, would close things off on a great note before the transition into Genesis. 10. Causticscincidae Giant Element dwelling Monstrosity ORIGINS Causticscincidae was originally an ordinary blue tongue skink before the ark was introduced to mass amounts of element and radiation, which in time mutated it causing it to grow larger, develop an immunity to liquid element and radiation along with a massive frill which glows with element coursing through it to intimidate smaller foes. HABITAT Causticscincidae usually dwell in the red zone basking in the massive element pools to keep safe from predators such as reaper queens and kings, Rock drakes and the nameless. They can usually be found in pairs of 2 including one male and female. STANCE - ABILITY The Causticscincidae has 2 separate stances both for different situations. The first crawling stance increases speed and decreases stamina consumption while also being able to climb over anything in its path including rocks, Cliffs, Walls, and ceilings. The second stance is the attack stance. In this stance the Causticscincidae will raise the top half of its body in the air and slowly walk on its hind legs. In this stance the Causticscincidae will passively gain a %5 damage resistance and melee damage buff. It will also gain the ability to regurgitate liquid element on its foes causing different status effects. Causticscincidae will also gain unique melee attacks in this stance. REGURGITATE - ATTACK STANCE - ABILITY The Causticscincidae’s regurgitate ability has different effects based on the Causticscincidae’s gender. Males will regurgitate a bright pinkish purple acid infused with liquid element draining stamina and causing tick damage to any affected foes. This ability can only be used at the expense of your Causticscincidae’s health. The female variants will have a bright blue sticky saliva like substance that on contact will slow any enemies affected and lower torpidity resistance but %15. This ability can only be used at the expense of your Causticscincidae’s torpidity. TAILSPIN - ATTACK STANCE- ABILITY Causticscincidae will perform a slow tailspin knocking back all enemies a great distance and stunning smaller foes such as Ravagers, Carnotaurus, Raptors and more. SWIPE - ATTACK STANCE - ABILITY While in attack stance your Causticscincidae may perform a fast swipe attack with its top claws causing damage to larger targets in range of the attack such as Rexes, RockDrakes, Reapers, Spinos and more. ELEMENTAL FRILL - ATTACK STANCE - ABILITY All male Causticscincidae have a frill which can be used in an elemental roar which exposes elemental light that scares off the nameless, seekers and other small enemies and makes reaper queens and kings vulnerable while buffing nearby allies with radiation resistance and physical resistance for 2 minutes. SLAM - ATTACK STANCE- ABILITY While transitioning from attack stance to crawling stance your Causticscincidae will slam onto the ground causing larger enemies to take massive damage while stunning any affected foes temporarily. CLIMB - CRAWLING STANCE - ABILITY While in the crawling stance your Causticscincidae can climb any surface with ease and can even gain stamina while latched onto a surface. Female Causticscincidae’s will climb faster while using less stamina. BITE - CRAWLING STANCE - ABILITY Your Causticscincidae will do a quick bite attack dealing substantial damage to any enemies in range. HOTSPRING - ABILITY While making contact with liquid element Causticscincidae will receive increased healing by %75, gain %25 damage negation, %25 melee damage increase and 2x speed for all actions performed by Causticscincidae. RUSH - ABILITY All female Causticscincidae’s will receive a %25 movement speed boost lasting 15 seconds when taking damage from enemies. PACK ANIMAL - ABILITY All female Causticscincidae will have decreased weight for most raw materials including Wood, Stone. Fiber, Metal, Flint, Obsidian, Crystal and all Colors of Gems, SADDLE Causticscincidae has a primitive saddle option unlockable at level 65 with no extra features or abilities. How ever after defeating rockwell a tek variant will be available giving the player radiation and liquid element immunity along with unlimited oxygen. The tek saddle will also come equipped with 2 flood lights. TAMING Ordinary knockout tame but in order for the Causticscincidae’s taming bar to increase it needs to absorb raw element which can either be hand feed or naturally absorbed but being knocked out in an element pool. Hopefully next creature vote I will have more time to work on my submission but this was good practice lol thanks for looking at my goofy little critter
  11. The prionosuchus was the biggest amphibian in our world and in the ark it wouldn't be different but we're back to the subject and we'll talk about its nature (Image by Thomas Sutton) Wild: The prionosuchus multum is an amphibian unlike any other with its size approaching the length of a megalodon this giant of the subterranean swamps of the aberration prefers to hunt like sarcosuchus but not to be confused they are not in the same family so unlike its reptilian counterpart it has energy for great runs and excellent attacks this great predator has a skull of almost 1.80 m and its attacks are voracious Taming method: Approach the prionosuchus feeding him fish to calm him down remember to always feed him every 15 seconds he will die a violent death with him holding you in his jaws and you hitting nearby rocks while calming him down climb on the back of this beast and ride it like a mechanical bull after a while the prionosuchus will get tired and respect you for having beaten him and now you will have a big predator by your side Tamed and Wild Skills Rotation: makes a spin similar to that of the sarcus Ravenous attack: when taking the target in the mouth, it starts to hit that target in a stone or nearby tree attack that that target dies Bleed: applies a bleed effect to large creatures Bioluminescence: This ability allows Prionosuchus to avoid creatures that dislike bright light Luminous Tail: This skill brings a tail attack that temporarily stuns and blinds the enemy Saddle Skills: Prionosuchus has two types of saddles, a normal one that also works as a mortar and pestle and a tek one that adds 2 new attacks Element Bite: Holding the right mouse button with the tek saddle equipped charges an attack that when fully charged does 200% more than normal damage Elemental Propulsion: This ability allows Prionosuchus to quickly dash forward on land vote for this wonderful temnospondyl
  13. TLDR: Iberosuchus would be a mid-late game traveling tame on par with if not stronger than a thyla. My personal favorite way to gear the creature and give it a niche would be a buff derived from eating chargebugs, being around glowpets, or eating biotoxin (to extend its utility to other maps). Concept art by riskybiscuits0485 Creature Info: Name: Iberosuchus Diet: Carnivore Time Period: Lutetian Age | Mid-Eocene Temperament: Neutral / Aggressive Behavior: Iberosuchus does not regard any small creatures or players as worthwhile food and as a result will ignore them. With this said, assuming the beast is docile because you saw it playing with a bulb dog would be a mistake. When around creatures it deems as suitable prey or a threat the Iberosuchus will become extremely aggressive. This response seems to be provoked by any creature larger than a parasaur or being attacked. The exception to this is charge bugs and cnidaria which it loves to consume. Taming: To tame an Iberosuchus you have to both earn its trust and prove to it that keeping you alive is more beneficial for it. You initiate this process by eating any kind of meat while near the creature on foot which will get its attention and cause it to begin approaching. Then you hand feed it a meat of any tier or biotoxin. When the taming process is locked in the taming effectiveness will start out low as the Iberosuchus becomes aggressive towards you. The crocodilian will then proceed to chase you as its effectiveness goes up. During this process it will occasionally become docile again and approach at which point it is safe to feed them again. This process will continue until the effectiveness is 100% which signifies the Iberosuchus accepting that refraining from turning you into a chew toy is more beneficial. After this song and dance it becomes a standard passive tame. Abilities and Saddle Features: Shooting off the Back: An essential ability for a reliable travel and battle tame, you can shoot off the back off the Iberosuchus. Charge Affinity / Love of Biotoxin: While I did bake this into its taming a little bit, for an aberration focused travel creature it would be incredibly beneficial if when in a charge light it gains a buff similar to but probably weaker than hydration (because you can have it up more reliably). To give this creature an option on other maps, biotoxin in its inventory can have the same effect when it eats it. This buff can activate when around wild light pets or having eaten a charge bug/Cnidaria. Immunity to Cnidaria Stun: I am on my hands and knees begging for something else that resists the stun lock of death. Shoulder Pet Passenger Seat: Moving into saddle features, to assist in keeping a charge on your new friend they have a built in seat on their saddle for an additional glow friend. However, any shoulder pet can be placed into this slot and curl up on the front of the saddle for whatever hellish experience your cave run might put it through. Some potential ways this could get used when not glow pet focused is bringing an extra otter with you just in case, deploying that pesky micro raptor off the back at a fleeing or attacking enemy player, or doing a drive-by theft with a pegomastax. Also an additional reason for it to not attack smaller creatures, for whatever reason even when wild it just seems to know not to attack possible future friends. Shoulder pets can’t be damaged off the saddle by wild dinos or tames but can be snipped off in PvP like a player. Player Position: One smaller but unique advantage is when sitting in the saddle, the player is almost laying down being a little harder to snipe off the back. Other Ability Concepts worth mentioning: Damage Resistance: With an armored crocodile like hide the Iberosuchus can shrug off a percentage of damage not directed at its underbelly. Which may indicate why it prefers not to hunt smaller creatures in the wild. (There is a mod with a similar concept that I forget the name of off the top of my head, but did want to mention this wasn’t 100% my own idea) Bleed and/or Picking Up Tames: I know people love the concept of a croc with bleed damage or being able to carry things around so it definitely deserves a mention. Additionally the ability to be the only tame able to pick up and temporarily keep cnidaria alive in its jaws and run at an enemy to stun them is also really funny to me. Wall Climbing: For a well rounded travel tame on aberration wall climbing would be really useful.
  14. 🦁king of the caves (Panthera Spelaea)🦁 ⛰️The Panthera Spelaea is an extinct species of carnivorous mammal belonging to the family Felidae, which lived in what is now Spain and the British Isles in the west up to Alaska⛰️ 🙀.Being a specimen with relatives such as the Panthera Atrox or Panthera Fossilis, it does not mean that it is less dangerous since its gifts allowed it to be the best predator in its area for several years, having a very distinctive spotted coat for living in cold areas and standing out from the others.🙀 💪SKILLS💪 1. Mighty Roar is an ability that allows him to reduce the statuses inflicted by his enemies (poisoning, bleeding, stun, etc), as well as stun his prey by reducing the effects they can inflict on him for a few seconds. This ability recharges every 30 seconds. 2. 🏃‍♂️Bite with slowing effect: Every time the Panthera Spelaea charges up its bite and bites an animal or a person, the victim will slow down its movement speed (up to 30%). The duration of the slowing effect will last about 3 seconds per bite and could gradually increase the more the Panthera Spelaea bites its enemies. The bites will use about 10 resistances.🏃‍♂️ 3. ⛔It has powerful claws capable of causing fast damage, but not very efficient.⛔ 4. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑Damage Buff (Panthera Spelaea Herd): If there are three Panthera Spelaea allies or more (it is necessary to have at least one male and two sisters), the strongest one will take the role of leader of the herd making him stronger.🧑‍🤝‍🧑 5.🥶 Panthera Spelaea gives thermal insulation to the user who rides it thanks to its thick fur.🥶 6.🦴 Keep your Panthera happy with food and petting and it will purr giving you and nearby animals a small buff of experience🦴. Taming 🐈‍⬛To tame the Panthera, you need to search the herd and with great skill capture one of the offspring in the herd and escape from the parents as quickly as possible, once it is in your hands feed it with meat and give it the basic care to grow and become your new companion.🐈‍⬛ 👉Basic statistics👈 Health: 850 Stamina: 450 Oxygen: 250 Food: 1750 Weight: 500 Melee damage: 100% Movement speed: 100% Torpor: 850 👾First mammal with Tek Mount👾 🤖Considering that this big feline is a killing machine, we guess that after the ascension you can equip it with a small shield with a resistance of 300 points to protect its front part and add some thrusters to increase its top speed.🤖 Agradecimientos a AngelGamez y Boryini por ayudarme con las imagenes 😃 (En breve actualizaremos las imagenes)
  15. The reaper assassin is an elongated stalky reaper male, they are extremely skinny and are lighter than a reaper king. they have patrol zones in the red and blue zone. A scythe blade at the end of its tail and dagger like claws on its front arms, it is capable of climbing walls, and can go invisible. able to perform devestating stealth strikes dealing thousands of damage in a single blow if launched at a target while climbing and invisible, did i mention it can go invisible. A tek saddle giving it teleportation, a laser scythe that grows larger with each consecutive hit. It is capable of going on 2 legs to use its front claws, which apply acid burn to anything hit. However unlike other reapers, they only get a 25% damage reduction in the absence of charge light, they also require a saddle to ride. To obtain one you must kill a wild one and get their trophy item, their scythe blade. This can be combined with a pheromone gland in a chem bench to make a special item which i have not named that can be consumed when you have all 75 levels on a max level reaper king embryo. this will convert the embryo to an assassin, in which you will need to get every single level from level 1 to the max a reaper king can get for a successful birth. Their saddle is unlocked at level 100 and their tek saddle unlocked by defeating alpha rockwell. I have no plans of getting art sadly. In terms of stats they would have incredibly high base damage(under the right conditions highest dps of any dino), health comparable to a spino, speed of a rock drake. In the wild they are much stronger and have massive aggro but will never leave their patrol zones, they will not bother you if you are accompanied by a reaper of some sort. Charge makes them hit harder. Good luck.
  16. Ok, you might be wondering why it says "again" in the title, I had thought of suggesting another creature, however, looking at the aberration context, I strongly believe that this is a very good concept for this map, and would fit quite well in its gameplay (in my opinion) "let's do this one last time" Guanlong Wucaii is a species of dinosaur that lived at the end of the Jurassic period, approximately 156 million years ago, in Asia. Its name means "Crown Dragon" due to the crest on its head, This was one of the first species of Tyrannosaurus, unlike this one, it had three fingers on its front legs instead of the two already known from the rex. From its hind legs you can see that it was a fairly fast and agile predator. Before we talk about its abilities, I'd like to highlight a couple of basic things I'd like this creature to have: -Its base Health is similar to that of a Thyla -Low weight: it is a light and fast animal, it cannot carry so much weight. -His skills use a lot of energy -It has a moderate base attack, but makes up for it with a 5 second duration bleed, which doesn't stack, but does reset after each attack. -is one of the fastest creatures on the Ark WILD: The creature will appear in the wild in groups of 3, which, like Raptor or Deinonychus, will have an alpha which will be the highest level Guanlong. When Guanlong detects a player, two things can happen, first: If guanlong is not in the player's field of vision, it will imitate a random roar of the strongest creatures on the island such as Rex, Carcha or Giga, in the case of being in the player's field of vision, Guanlong will begin to attack the player directly. Domestication: To tame a Guanlong, you must avoid being detected by it, be it with a camouflage suit or a hot soup, then you must separate it from its group, either killing them or distracting them, having him far enough away from his group, you must feed him rotten meat, which will raise his unconsciousness until he sleeps, after that just feed it meat until it is tamed. Tamed: He has a pack roar, when using it he receives 15% speed and 25% attack, it lasts about 100 seconds, but has a 30 second cooldown. Guanlong can emit high and low frequency sounds, it can even imitate animal sounds, the latter can be used to intimidate or annoy survivors with terrifying roars, or to specifically attract large creatures, such as Carcharodontosaurus or Yutyrannus, which will target Guanlong and start chasing him, which is perfect for putting creatures into traps or making it possible for another player to shoot at it from another side. High and low frequency sounds can make a big difference in PVP or PVE, as they will stun large and small creatures for a short amount of time, depending on the animal that you want to stun, you must raise or lower the sound frequency, the bigger the animal, the less stun time it will have, for example, a Giga would be stunned for 2.5 to 3 seconds, a Titanosaur might be stunned for 2 seconds, a Raptor for 9 seconds and a Dodo for 15 seconds (although I don't know why you would attack a Dodo), obviously this ability will have a cooldown of 20-30 seconds. Guanlong can also buff his allies using his ability, giving them 30% more stamina for 12 seconds. but then you may wonder: What happens if we put many guanlongs in a row? During the cooling time a player could get off one, and get on another... but the solution I came up with is the following: if there are more than 3 Guanlongs in an area (I didn't think of a specific radius), and one uses its sound ability, the rest of the Guanlongs will be stunned for twice as long as the stunned enemy creature, if there are only 3 guanlongs in the area, and one is on cooldown, when you get on another and use its ability, it will stun the enemy for 25% less time, in addition to depleting three times the stamina of the Guanlong used. Here a dossier that I had done a while ago sorry for my bad english...again
  17. Greetings, friends. The purpose of the Sinornitho submission is to add a unique creature into the game that shows the power of being in a group by featuring new attributes and abilities. The Sinornitho takes a unique Family aspect, important when it comes to breeding, taming and fighting. It combines that with a perfectly skilled traveler and venomous killer. Sinornithosaurus, when it existed, was a superior killing machine, bearing toxic poison as well as gliding feather. I believe Aberration is the perfect map for this fantastic little critter. It has the potential to bring a very unique experience to the game. Please remember that while Wildcard takes inspiration from the winning creature, they may change any of the features and abilities suggested here. Thanks you for your support and survive on, friends! Contents: 1 – Artwork & Dossier text 2 – Spawning (in the wild) 3 – Taming & Food 4 – Attacks/Abilities 5 – Potential Base Stats 6 – Appearance 7 – Families Artwork. This dossier was custom-made to give you an idea of a possible in-game dossier. SINORNITHO Species: Sinornithosaurus venenum Time: Late Jurassic Diet: Carnivorous Temperament: Aggressive (trusting) Wild: If you are wandering in the deep dark forests of this ARK, you may hear the rustle of feathers on the breeze. Then you feel an unbearable pain of fangs sinking into your shoulder and you take your last look up into the vicious jaws of the Sinornitho. These small raptors live exclusively in family groups. Each member of the group shares an unbreakable bond of friendship with other members. Domesticted: Survivors must be a bit mental to try and tame these squirrelly, toxic little critters. However, they can be quite trusting, you just need to spend some time to form a bond with a family. They like to stick together, so failing to bond with one equals a fail to bond with the entire family. Their flight feathers make Sinornitho an efficient glider. The venom of Sinornitho is a very pot killing machine. Even more so than the Titanboa's Thankfully, you’d only have a few minutes to feel the pain…. ☠ Spawning. Sinornitho spawns in every Biome except the Surface. They will sometime hang on large trees or vertical surfaces like a Thylacoleo or Rock Drake, leaving to attack victims. Sinornitho always spawn in groups of 4, with at least one male and female. Each that spawn together will be in a designated Family. A Family member will only aid a Sinornitho in the same pack in battle. See below for more on Families. Agrroing. Sinornitho only aggro onto the same creatures that a Dilophosaurus would. When attacking, they will in fact bite until their victim has maximum Venom stacks on it. Then they will follow the victim, staying a distance away and not attacking. They will retreat if needed to stay a distance away. When the victim dies from the Venom, they feed. This tactic is used onto by wild Sinornitho that aren’t being tamed. Taming & Food. When it comes to taming, you cannot just tame a single member, you must tame a Family, even if the Family has lost 1 or more members. Taming a Sinornitho Family is similar to Imprinting a baby dino, but you must “Imprint” an entire Family. First, you must locate a Family or a member. Do not attack them at any time during taming! If you do, they will become untamable until they lose aggro on you. It is highly suggested you tame these creatures on foot. When you locate 1 or more members of a Family, crouch. If you are in a crouch position, Sinornitho, instead of attacking immediately, will move directly up to and wait for 20 seconds before attacking. In this time, you must bond with it by pressing [E]. Once you do so, the entire Family will move to you, no matter how far away they are. If more than one Family member approaches you at the start, you only need to bond with one member to attract the others. The family will now follow you around and behave almost like a tame on attack target and low following distance (damage to a Sinornitho does not ruin the taming effectiveness… unless it’s you who attacks!). After the first member is bonded with, you must then complete 4 tasks. Each task is random out of 3 possibilities. Each success gives you 25% more taming progress, and progress can’t decrease (unless you ruin it). If you fail even one task, you fail the entire taming attempt, the Sinornitho attack, and you will probably die a terrible death. Unless you manage to escape render distance, return, crouch again, and start all over. But you will rarely escape without making your last wheezing breaths, so don’t fail. Once the first member is bonded with, the first task will automatically begin. You will get notifications about which task you must perform with the Family. There is a period of 2 minutes between each task completion and the next task. You have 10 minutes to complete each task, or you fail. The different tasks possible are: Hunt Small Prey: This requires you and the Family to find and kill 4 wild shoulder pets. For it to count as a kill, you and at least 1 Family member must damage and/or kill the shoulder pet. The Family attacks your target when you are taming them, so you just need to damage the shoulder pet, and the Family will finish it. Feed: This requires you to feed a random food to each Family member. The same food must be fed to each member by putting it in the last hot bar slot and pressing [E] to feed. The possible foods are Cooked Meat Jerky, Rare Mushroom, Cooked Meat, and Raw Meat. Bring some of each food just in case. Pet: By far the easiest task, this requires you to simply press [E] to pet each Family member. Once four tasks have been completed, the Family will be tamed. Another twist to the taming is that at any time during taming, a Family member has a chance of temporarily aggroing onto you. It will attempt to attack you for about 5 seconds before calming down and going back to normal. A tip to avoid getting killed by Venom, always stand on guard and be ready to dodge or block with a shield. Note that one Survivor can only be taming one Family at a time. If two or more Families happen to be in the same area (rarely happens), then you can determine which Sinornitho belongs to which Family by their colors (always the same for each Family). It is suggested that you either kill or KO the other family members. Remember that attacking one Family will not draw the aggro of another. If you happen to come across multiple Families with the same colors, then tough luck. That’s ARK for you. If you are in a Tribe, each member can tame a Family at the same time, but on their own. A Family you are taming does not pay attention to other creatures other than you, including Survivors and Tribemates – unless another creature attacks, they will then retaliate. They otherwise only respond to what you do. If you or an allied tame attacks a single Family Member while taming them, the taming will fail and they will aggro on you. You can escape aggro range, return, crouch, and start over. After being tamed, the Sinornitho will eat the same as any other carnivore. Attacks/Abilities. Left Click: The primary attack of the Sinornitho is a vicious bite/claw that deals 30 base damage as well as one stack of Sinornitho Venom (stacks up to 5, see info below). This attack has a 50% chance of inflicting a Bleed stack as well. Venom and Bleed work on Bosses. Sinornitho Venom. The poison of the Sinornitho is deadly. Like a Leech, victims lose health and stamina over time, for each stack of the venom. For each stack (up to 5), the victim loses a base of 0.5 health and 1 stamina every second. The damage and stamina loss increase when leveled in melee. The health loss is doubled if the victim has at least one Bleed stack on it. Wild Sinornitho contain 2 Sinornitho Venom in their inventory if killed. Via the option wheel you can also extract 1 Sinornitho venom from a tamed one. After extracting, for the next 12 hours in game the raptor is unable to use venom for extraction or inflicting. This item can be ingested to make you lose any venom stacks on you currently and immune to the venom for 24 hours in game. This item can be fed to tames or unconscious creatures as well. Sinornitho Venom stacks up to 10 and doesn't spoil. Antidotes also work on this Venom the same as normal and remove all stacks while in effect. One stack of Venom wears off in 2 minutes (real time). Most survivors would die before then, however. However, one at a time, each Venom stack will subside in 1 minute when injected onto a creature with 300 kilograms or more of drag weight. Space Bar: The Sinornitho can jump as far as a Deinonychus. If you hold down on the [Space Bar], you can Glide. A Sinornitho continues to glide until you release [Space Bar] or hit a vertical surface. If you hit a surface, the Sinornitho automatically latches onto the surface and can now Climb. To Climb while latched onto a surface, simply point a direction and press [Space Bar] once. The Sinornitho will lurch and shimmy in that direction just like with Climbing Picks. Pressing [C] will cause the Sinornitho to detach from the surface. Sinornitho take zero fall damage. [X]: Pressing [X] will cause the Sinornitho to make the Family screech. Each member belonging to a Family that the screeching Sinornitho also belongs to within range will get a 10% buff to damage, speed, and damage resistance for each other Sinornitho within range that belongs to one or more of its Families (that the screecher belongs to). Example: Sinornitho from family A and B screeches each Sinornitho belonging to A and/or B within range gets 10% buff for every other Sinornitho within range belonging to A and/or B. So if a Sinornitho from family A and B hears the call, and there is 2 A members, 2 B members, and 2 other A & B members, that Sinornitho gets a 60% buff. This buff lasts for 5 minutes and has a 24 hour cooldown before the screecher can screech again. Potential Base Stats. The suggested base stats of Sinornitho. Health: 180 Stamina: 180 Oxygen: 150 Food: 1200 Weight: 125 These stats make Sinornitho a little less tanky than Deinonychus, but faster and more endurant over long distances. Appearance. Sinornitho is similar in appearance to a Deinonychus but noticeable smaller. Also, it's snout is longer and narrower, and its sickle claw is less prominent. Its feathers are usually colored in reds, oranges, browns, grays and blacks. Note that in the wild Families spawn with each member featuring the same colors in the same color regions. Sinornitho eggs are dark grey colored, with green spots. Families. Every time Sinornitho spawns, they spawn in groups of 4 called Families. Each family spawns with exactly the same colors in the same color regions. Family members spawn with random levels as usual. When you find and tame a Family, instead of naming an individual member, you name the Family. Later you can change individual member's names as well as the member's Family name via option wheel. These families form close bonds and are important when it comes to breeding, which we'll get into now. Example. Sinornitho from Family X breeds with a Sinornitho from Family Y. The baby will belong to both Family X and Family Y. The new Sinornitho from Family X and Y breeds with a Sinornitho from Family Z. The offspring will belong to all three Families: X, Y, and Z. Each Sinornitho can belong to only 4 different Families. If you breed parents who's combines different Families total more than 4, the offspring will belong to a random 4 Families from its parents. Each individual Sinornitho can have up to 4 Families. New Families can be inherited from its parents. If you breed two Sinornitho who belong to different Families, the offspring will be part of each different Family that its parents had. Example. Sinornitho from Family X, Y, and Z breeds with Sinornitho from Family A and B. The offspring will belong to 4 random Families out of a selection of X, Y, Z, A, and B. For any Families other than the random select 4 will have no connection to the offspring. If two Sinornitho from the exact same Families breed then, if each parent has more than 1 Families, the offspring has a 50% chance of getting one or more mutation. Example. A Sinornitho belonging only to Family X breeds with another Sinornitho only from Family X. The mutation chance is not increased because each Sinornitho has only 1 Family. However, if two Sinornitho, each only from Families X and Y breed, then mutation chances in the offspring are put to 50%. This is because each parent belongs to 2 or more families, and they both belong to the exact same Families. Utilities. In conclusion of its abilities, here are some good uses for the Sinornitho. Hunter/Fighter: With group of Sinornitho you can use the screech to give huge buffs to damage, movement speed, and resistance. It is suggested you use a Sinornitho belonging to multiple families, that is if you have multiple families. Travel Mount: The Sinornitho takes zero fall damage and can glide as well as climb. This makes for a good Rock Drake alternative. Boss Fighter: With enough high level Sinornitho belonging to the same Family(s) you can use the screech to give tremendous buffs to allied Sinornitho. This is surprisingly effective against bosses. Also note that increased melee damage increases Venom effectiveness. And Venom works on bosses. Image from BBC's Planet Dinosaur
  18. Welcome to my proposal,in here I'll be suggesting a creature with my most favorite genus, introducing the Saurophaganax maximus, the abberant screeching devil, I'll go in depth of the it but before that I just wanna say the Art you will see are not mine(tho you probably already know it without me saying it to you),just wanna clear some stuff up but let's go to the in-depth of the screeching devil itself In-depth story wise In the deep inside the blue zone of abberation exist a creature never before seen by any survivors for centuries, survivors can only feel it's loud screeching noise that detter even the most well armored people, some even gone deaf, but if you heard it's screech, chances are it already seen you,and when it sees you, the only thing you can do is pray, because whoever you're praying to will meet you very soon, survivors of it's encounter describe it's appearance as if they saw the devil itself which how it got it's name, the screeching devil, later on more scientist have declared it as Saurophaganax Maximus, a genus of allosauridae that's even bigger then the allosaurus on the island,it's appearance even resembling it, with the only difference is size, behavior , and it's hunting technique. Wild Unlike the allosaurus,Saurophaganax maximus seems to be a lone hunter having only close with another one with a different gender, and unlike the allosaurus because of its, it is unable to do the hatching bite attack the allo has,However even when it lacks the number before,it still gives more power then a regular Allosaurus, the mere presence of it feared even by the scariest deep creature,it can also release a terrifying and strong screeching noise to it's prey stunning them completely for an easy prey, Taming If you for some reason have the audacity to tame this devilish creature a heads-up you need is that you can't knock it out with normal tranquility items as it to be proven unaffected by it, to knock one out you will need an overlooked tranquility item you've probably come across with, the poison grenade however you can't just throw it to the dino and knock it out that way, you will need to wait for a special moment, first get the attention of the Saurophaganax, once you've it's attention it will immediately use it's screeching abilities, while it's Doing it throw the poison grenade inside the Saurophaganax mouth once it's swallowed the Saurophaganax will be in a drunken state, use the time to escape off it's vision of sight, once you've escape just go back to it and repeat the process, however it is warned that even after you've thrown the poison grenade into it's mouth there are chances that the Saurophaganax will throw up the grenade and causing the explosion to hit you, remember stronger ones=more poison grenades Tamed once you've tamed it, it's borderline use is to Kill, everything, as I mentioned before every single creature cute, scary, small, large will feel fear when close to a Saurophaganax, causing them to be weaker , the Saurophaganax also have a habit of easily taking down armored creature such as the Ankylosaurus and stegosaurus, and large creatures such as diplodocus and paracetharium(I think that's how you spell them),as it's bite ignore armor and deals bleed status that deals 45 damage each ticks,it however can't be stacked Attacks/passive abilities The Saurophaganax will have 2 passive abilities, first is it's fear presence which have different tier of weakening creature. Decrease ravager size creature by 40% in strength Decrease stegosaurus size creature by 25% in strength Decrease spinosaurus and larger size creature by 15% The second passive ability is that it deal's more damage to creature with heavier drag weight (doesn't include the boss)and lesser damage to creature with smaller drag weight It attacks will be very similar to the allosaurus but it replaces the hatchet bite with it's grab attack able to grab small creature and players and crushing them to paralyze them it can also use it to Carry them where their weight will not be totalled into the Saurophaganax weight, with an added ability of its screeching ability which is a stationary attack, once dealt to a creature/player, it causes them to be deaf and will lost 90% of their vision for 20 seconds in which the creature can't be controlled, larger creature however won't be deaf by it and instead be in an unpleasant state. Yes while it seems to be very powerful it of course have some weakness, the rider when using the screeching ability can accidentally be caught up to its effect and in turn can't ride the Saurophaganax,it also can still be affected with throwing the poison grenade while using it's screeching ability even when tamed and it affects the creature more badly then the wild version. The proposal ends here, while I'm sure my suggestion won't be into the top 10, I'm still happy that I'am apart of another creature vote, have a good day everyone!
  19. Introducing The Postosuchus The Cave Defender He will have these abilities. *He will have the ability that the bigger the dino is, the more damage he will do to the dino *will have the spinosaurus ability to change between 2 to 4 legs *on 2 legs it will gain speed an attack with the claws that will cause bleeding but lowers the defense and a damage reduction *on 4 legs the conductor cannot be disassembled You will gain more damage and defense, but you will lose a lot of speed. if you have ideas tell me that i will heard all pd:this is google translate so if is some problem tell me
  20. OVERVEIW The Zanabazar makes getting out of the Red-Zone so much simpler. It having so strong claws that they are able to use them as climbing picks and scale montains and cliffs, even in earthquakes! WILD (CARNIVORE, TERRITORIAL) It will be slow (both climbing and running) so it will mostly prey on smaller and slower creatures than itself (often Light-pets). It will be highly territorial but not aggressive. It will usually spawn alone in the border between the Green and Blue zone. DOMESTICATED TAMING: You will need to knock it out (The Standard Way) then it will want any of the light-pets dragged to its mouth and eaten, how many depends on the level. While doing these things you will need to manage the torpor drain of the creature (Which will be pretty high). When tamed and with a saddle it will be able to climb similar to the rock drake but much slower by walking up to a surface and pressing RIGHT CLICK (to mount the surface). It will still be slow but as strong as a carno. CONTROLS Movement: W, A, S, D Attack: LEFT CLICK Attach to surface: RIGHT CLICK Sprint: LEFT SHIFT THE PICTURE IS: N O T M I N E
  21. The Paraborhyaena would be a middle to late stage creature that specialises in hunting creatures with hard shells like Doedicurus, Ankylosaurus and even Karkinos. It’s razor sharp fangs make short work of their tough outer shells and are adept at harvesting large amounts of chitin and keratin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraborhyaena

    Trilobite

    From the album: Dossiers

Common Name: Trilobite Species: Trilobite Conchadurus Time: Early Cambrian-Late Permian Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Defensive Wild: Like most Trilobites, Trilobite Conchadurus is an opportunistic carnivore that feeds on anything smaller than itself which it can get a hold of. A sluggish creature, the Trilobite's best defense is its incredibly hard shell. This seems to be a common adaption for the slower creatures of the island. Trilobite is not a very good source of food. The creature seems to be made mostly out of internal organs and its defensive carapace. This is good for the Trilobite, as both river and ocean predators are less likely to prey on it if there are better options around. Domesticated: The Trilobite does not seem to have enough intelligence to be tamed. This doesn't mean it doesn't have its uses among resourceful survivors, though. Trilobites are easily one of the best sources of high quality chitin on the island, assuming one doesn't wish to venture into the dangerous caves. Known Information: Trilobite is not a very good source of food. The creature seems to be made mostly out of internal organs and its defensive Carapace. This is good for the Trilobite, as both river and ocean predators are less likely to prey on it if there are better options around.

    Sarcosuchus

    From the album: Dossiers

Common Name: Sarco Species: Sarcosuchus excubitor Time: Early Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Patient Wild: Among the island's water-based threats, Sarcosuchus excubitor is a lot what you might expect from a giant crocodile: A patient killing machine. It spends much of its days lazily waiting in the water for prey to walk near. That said, it is not opposed to scurrying onto land and pressing the issue when hungry. A good tactic for escaping many predators is to jump into the water, as most are slow swimmers. This is a bad tactic for escaping a Sarcosuchus, obviously, as they are actually faster in the water than they are on land. Domesticated: Despite being river-dwelling creatures, Sarcosuchus seem quite at ease in the oceans. More than a few fishing communities use them as mounts simply to help fight off Megalodons, or to gain better access to the resources found within the reefs.
  24. The thylacine is also known as there marsupial wolf or tiger if it was in ark it should be able to get higher damage for haveing a larger pack and with the ability to drag small creature bodies like dodos to moschops and it should appear on scorched earth and eat raw meat
  25. Ark Maip Dossier and Render done by KasparHen Disclaimer: Hello everyone! I'm back again with the Maip macrothorax, Ark's Endgame Megaraptor! Common Name: Megaraptor/Maip Species: Maip macrothorax Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild: Maip macrothorax is a unique dinosaur from the mysterious megaraptoran clade of theropods. Known for their large, scythe like claws, these predators use them with deadly efficiency - capable of shredding through any target they set their gaze on. Due to this attribute, the Maip lives up to the name ‘shadow of death’. After spending some time studying this dinosaur, I have discovered that Maip see wyverns as their natural competitor. As such, I have often witnessed many skirmishes between the two species. Due to this rivalry, Maip has evolved to be able to leap astonishing distances without sustaining massive injury. This allows them to be able to raid the nests of wyverns and help wipe out the competition. Domesticated: Once tamed, Maip can serve as a unique debuffer. It’s able to cripple creatures using a special slash. This attack can be used on any creature but where it truly excels is when it’s used on aerial creatures. When the attack connects, it’ll instantly drain all of the target’s stamina and force it to land. At this point, the creature will be unable to regenerate any stamina for a short period of time and will take increased damage from attacks. I have witnessed tribes using Maip to more effectively combat wyverns. They do this by using the Maip’s superior agility to evade the wyvern’s breath attacks before proceeding to leap into the air and perform a slash so powerful it cripples the wyvern, forcing it to land. Legends have been told of one survivor that owns a Maip that is able to embue its claw attacks with the effect of a wyvern. They say this was done by giving the Maip a wyvern talon. Abilities: Primary Attack: A simple bite attack that deals a decent amount of damage upon pressing left click. Secondary Attack: Pressing or holding down right click will have the Maip rapidly swipe its claws. Looking in a certain direction will cause the Maip to swipe its claws while turning to face that direction. This would work like the Sarco’s bite where it can turn while attacking. X Key (Press or Hold): Crippling Slash – Upon pressing the X key, Maip will leap forward and perform a powerful slash attack with both of its hands. This attack will inflict a new, unique debuff called “Crippling Wound.” This ability will cost stamina and go on a cooldown for 5-10 seconds after successfully being used. This is Maip’s most powerful attack. By holding down the X key, you’ll be able to charge up this ability and aim it. This would allow for much greater leaping distance, whether it be horizontally or vertically. This would specifically be used for helping Maip to reach flyers. Crippling Wound – If used on a land or water creature, this debuff will decrease their movement speed, slowly drain their stamina, and cause them to take more damage from incoming attacks. If used on an aerial creature, this debuff will instantly drain the flyer’s stamina and force them to land. At this point, the flyer will be unable to regenerate any stamina for a short period of time and will take more damage from incoming attacks. The flyer would also have decreased movement speed. Spacebar: Maip has the ability to jump upon pressing spacebar. If you hold down spacebar, Maip is able to do a super jump akin to the Reaper or Shadowmane. Passive - Reduced Fall Damage - Maip takes little to no fall damage. It’s able to fall from great heights without sustaining much injury. Left-Ctrl: An aesthetic roar that looks and sounds cool. Artwork done by DILONG Taming Method: To tame a Maip, you must first head into the wyvern trench and collect wyvern talons. You will get wyvern talons by killing wyverns. Once you have wyvern talons and find a Maip you want to tame, you must equip the wyvern talon into your 0 slot. The Maip will sense that you have a wyvern talon equipped and immediately proceed to hit you with a crippling slash. You must be able to tank the hit and survive. Upon hitting you, the Maip takes your wyvern talon and plays an animation where it becomes super angry. You want to hop on the Maip while this animation is playing. At this point, you get taming progress on Maip by killing wyverns in the trench with it. The Maip will get the wyvern-related buffs while you’re riding on it. If you survive with it and kill enough wyverns, it will be tamed. Once tamed, and not equipped with a saddle, it'll have a timer before it knocks you off. This timer should give you enough time to get out of the wyvern trench. Credit goes to the user TanukiiTricks for this idea. I liked it so much that I decided to implement here into the main post. Wyvern Theme: After being around wyverns for some time, Maip has grown to hate them. In fact, it considers the wyverns as its natural enemy. Due to this, Maip has evolved to easily be able to raid the nest of wyverns and counter them. Utilizing its super jump, Maip is able to leap into the wyvern trenches and steal wyvern eggs. When in the presence of wild/enemy/allied wyverns, Maip gains a 15-20% damage output and resistance buff. Maip could also have the ability to use wyvern effects on its claw attacks. Let me explain how this would work. When you kill a wyvern, it drops a talon. Maip could have a special slot in its inventory that allows it to equip the wyvern talon. This would allow Maip to gain the effects of that wyvern. The effects of the wyvern talon would be applied to the Maip’s basic claw attack and its crippling slash ability. Fire Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with fire. Imbued with fire, the Maip would give targets the Enflamed debuff or a lesser version of the debuff that doesn’t burn away as much health. Its claws and horns would be red to visually indicate to players it has a fire talon equipped. Lightning Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with electricity. Imbued with electricity, the Maip gains increased attack speed and the ability to stun its target. The stun would be akin to the Baryonyx. After the stun wears off, the target would have stun immunity for x amount of time before being able to be stunned again. Its claws and horns would be blue to visually indicate to players that it has a lightning talon equipped. Poison Wyvern Talon: Maip’s claws are imbued with a corrosive acid. Imbued with this corrosive acid, the Maip’s attacks would cause the target’s torpidity to increase along with degrading armor. Its claws and horns would be green to visually indicate to players it has a poison talon equipped. Ice Wyvern Talon: Maip's claws are imbued with ice. Imbued with ice, the Maip's attacks would cause the target to start to slow down. After a certain amount of hits, the target would be frozen solid for x amount of time. If this idea was implemented, it could be expanded upon to include the other wyverns. Unique talon drops would have to be made for those wyverns.
