  1. So, let me get this straight. You gave us all a clearly defined roadmap for future content releases to keep us contented with the current state of your "game". Then, you reneged on the previous roadmap and swapped the maps that were releasing and the creatures that were releasing with the first map in order to appease players that wanted something akin to the Maewing while delaying the first map once you realized that you would not be able to actually adhere to said roadmap. Now, you're telling us just days before the Center was supposed to release according to your new roadmap that it is not, in fact, releasing on schedule, and in an attempt to soften the blow from the news that the Center was being indefinitely postponed, you're releasing the creature that was swapped in (Gigantoraptor) on a map that most of us are already tired of. You guys should have realized that players would not be happy with this. There is no way to properly sugarcoat this; you guys messed up. Horribly so, in fact. Furthermore, you also revealed that a creature that we have to pay for that was already fairly overpowered to begin with is going to be even more overpowered. The optics are not looking too good for you, Wildcard. Sure, some people are going to buy into this scam, but they are only going to do so because they are now being forced to in order to even the odds against the mega tribes that will have already bought into the scam and will now have an even more distinct advantage over them... My expectations were already abysmal. How did you manage to lower those expectations even further? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRBDMMVctu8
  2. A beardog? I admit that that would be pretty cool to see in-game. I only ended up going with vulpines because I like foxes. Either way, I would love an animal that can aid small tribes and solo players in exploration. None of the new creatures offer that. Out of all three, the Amargasaurus is definitely the most appealing, but it really wouldn't fit my playstyle as it appears to be a PvP focused creature with slight utility in PvE as a sap collector.
  3. As a primarily solo player, none of the new creatures really seem all that useful. Perhaps my neutrality on the subject matter invalidates anything that I might have to say here. The bickering amongst the community, however, is quite petty... Those that are complaining really need to take these simple facts into account; no one here is forcing you to tame the Sinomicrops and no one here is forcing you to play the Lost Island. If there exists a creature that you aren't interested in taming, ignore it (or kill it for the meat and the hide). That's what I am going to do. I can understand the frustration that most of you are feeling. It feels like the person that undermined and rigged the voting process was still rewarded. However, as far as I can tell, the decision was made by Wild Card. Move on from this and hope that the next round of voting is more to your liking. If I am being honest, the idea of another theropod and another shoulder pet is highly unappealing. I never got the chance to voice my own opinion. If I had, I would have preferred something along the lines of a medium-sized vulpine (because foxes are my favorite animals) with the ability and to act as a bloodhound; alerting their owner to incoming danger and scouting the terrain for caves and dossier caches. Optimally, it could be used alongside a Hyaenodon pack in order to aid in traversing any Ark for long periods of time (especially at night) without the need to return to, or establish, a base. Would it be ideal for larger tribes? Probably not. But, for smaller tribes or solo players, it could be a potential boon. This is just the idea of a solo player though. In any case, I read through the comments and felt like voicing my opinion when I saw just how toxic things have become...
  4. The writers at GameRant aren't all that credible to begin with and really need to get their facts straight before publishing a news story like the one involving this content. They come off as a bunch of misinformed PS4 fanboys with an agenda to fuel the fires of a petty console war otherwise. I am relieved that Wildcard responded so quickly to the concerns of Xbox One owners as I own one.
  5. As an avid fan of video game musical soundtracks, I must say that this new piece is gorgeous and is by far my favorite piece of music thus far for Ark: Survival Evolved. I especially love the dark, moody undertone.
  6. It vaguely resembles a giant Tuatara. It certainly is an interesting creature and I cannot wait to discover more about it.
  7. Awesome work to everyone featured in this Community Crunch. The Desmodus in particular is a very terrifying creature that I would love to see added in a future update. I cannot wait to see what the community creates next and the questions we will challenge the developers with.
  8. Would it be feasible to give gasoline the secondary function of soaking swords and arrows to set them on fire ( for about five - ten minutes) for a temporary increase to damage? Moreover, I am a huge fan of the Alphas (particularly their color palettes). Would it be possible to add non-Alpha spawns with these color schemes?
