  1. This is pretty much a console seller for me. Will definitely be getting a Switch now. I've had my fair share of disappointments with Wildcard but I will never cease to be in awe over what they HAVE achieved and how dedicated they are as developers. This game is a dream come true, and I will always be grateful, especially now that I will be able to enjoy it with my wife.

I am curious if my stuff isn't being looked at because I have to do slideshows now as my CPU is worn out. I don't find any logical explanation why else a pixel art heart would get runner up rather than a fully functional design considering the shaping and theme were identical.

Maybe they're just uncomfortable with you making a living off game screenshots... x)

I'd say the QR code hints to a different game mode/map of some kind. I'm guessing the way the Ark logo is lit/flashing in the countdown is some sort of hint as to what it might be but I can't for the life of me think what it could be.

I could of course be totally wrong I guess only time will tell.....

Oceanic Expansion. The logo is covered in Algae. ;)

Wonder who's found the secret hidden in the launch trailer hmm

My guess is the hologram pic of Earth, is the secret showing that Ascension is actually your trip back home. After being stranded all this time.

Just a guess but very possible right?

    Here's the secret: playark.com/a/

It was hidden behind a QR Code...

Ark survival evolved launch strategy !

Go to a gaming conference (or what ever gamescom is) and sell your super buggy game to unaware gamers.

Hours later announce to everyone that the very people who invested money to help you get where you are today are getting the double finger.

First 80% of servers get shut down creating a 4 days delay for a lot of players to move their stuff or lose everything.

Then, they also give another finger to those remaining by shutting the support for ''Legacy'' servers.

Actually, since you still get retroactive bug fixes, content updates, optimizations, and the like, you are still being supported pretty throughly. It's just support tickets that you cannot file. Frankly, I think this is the best move for Wildcard to make so that they can focus on expanding their support team and providing better service to the new servers. The Legacy servers would simply have been a fruitless time-sink.

how about instead of all this new CRAP in here. You give us console players ragnarok like u said u would 3 months ago. WILD CARD is like a lil kid with ADD.

One more thing the date has already changed 3 times is what im saying GP you worthless human being. BTW id bet a million dollars it will b pushed again.

If the worth of a human being was determined objectively your attitude would earn you less points than GP by far. Luckily some of us have higher standards than mere objectivity.

I thought we were done with new creatures and content and you were going to start fixing your game? What about the people with random driver crashes and resets? GPU/CPU optimizations that you've been talking about for 2+ years? Fixing the memory leak issues?

It's great you're finally fixing your awful building system and AI,  but seriously, when can we expect bug fixes and optimizations?

Many are coming before or on the 29th and even more afterwards.

We will also be adding their custom creatures to our main game, which will allow players to transfer them via the CrossARK system, so you'll be able to bring over your Ice Wyverns to The Island, The Center, and Scorched Earth!

Hm... Why do I get the feeling that we'll be seeing that Ice Wyvern rework far sooner than anyone previously suspected...

Well for starters it seems video game companies forget who the customers are and it's our fault as gamers for buying games and putting up with stuff like this due to a pretty limited market of good video games. I sure hope no one at this company ever goes to buy something and is forced to wait for food or service because now you know how your customers feel, frustrated, disappointed, and embarrassed for pre ordering the special edition. Second real cute choosing not to mention how you chose to not mention unpopular things in your patch notes like the tether distance slider disappearing from console without a word said in any of the multiple posts about the update or many questions on the forums. Thanks for being upfront haha. Thirdly I play this game every Friday night until 2-3 am this Friday we quit at 1030. With all the glitches bugs and the tether slider being gone it's not fun anymore. You can't just leave something as part of a game for over a month so we get accustomed to the way it is then take it. It's become unbearable without it. I hope next time you remove something like this as quickly as possible because all having it that long reinforced was that it worked fine with it and without it I don't want to even play it. Thanks a lot. Forth pushing a release date back a  two weeks ahead of the actual release??!? Wow whoever is in charge needs to sit down and take a look in the mirror and tell them self to be a boss and figure out how long stuff takes. Wouldn't it have been better to complete the game at a later date with a less aggressive deadline and be done early and add really small easy stuff for fun or to hold people over up to release day? Lastly clean up you act and be professional. A lot of your moderators and employees get short or downright rude with people here and on twitter it's pathetic unprofessional and uncalled for. Hold your temper, yes people are upset but the only reason they come here or twitter is to check on the game you made that they love that's where there emotion comes from. I just want to clarify that this is not meant to be mean or disrespectful these are my true opinions of what I think of your game and company and since I'm canceling my preorder do to my utter disappointment in all the events that have taken place that I have listed I thought now would be a good time to voice my thoughts since I will be no longer fearing retaliation by anyone associated with the forum since I will be most likely no longer caring. Thanks for the fun while it shortly lasted and good luck releasing a week before destiny 2 your going to need it.

Honestly I am impressed with the self-restraint of their moderators and employers. Most of you are unbearable.

The one thing, will Ark be on PS5? It's gonna have better specs than xbox one x and surpass your average pc. Coming out in 2020

Is that is true, than probably yes. Given their track record Wildcard would never pass up a chance like that. (I don't think.)

    @Jen

To help prevent players from being shut out - An option could be that at least some of these rare resources could be refined so as an example...

10x Metal Ingots could be refined into 1x High Grade Metal Ingots - New structure "Refinery" or use Forge with some other resource to create.

10x Fiber could be "refined" into 1x Fine Thread - New structure "Spinning Wheel" (could be used in conjunction with Sheep Wool)

    ect ect ect...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Survivor, Mendoza asks, “Could we get very rare resource drops that are worth say 10x more than the normal resources... Example -- Rare Metal Ore - That can be smelted down to make Fine Grade Metal Ingots...  This kind of rare resources and others like Fine Wood, Rare Pearls, Quality Stone ect, would open up a new economy for trade and also allow for the building of High End Mastercraft Gear which can't fit in the slots provided in crafting stations.(being 10x more valuable, interchangeable with normal resources and stacks the same as the average like resources) -- Rare resources could also open up the possibility of being able to craft slightly better quality gear the more "quality resources" used to make said item.”

Alternatively just make all Rare Resources harvestable from normal nodes at an extremely low rate. No one would be cut off from them then.

    So is chalico I believe.

I like the design of the horse on the dossier, but I feel like this guy is just gonna make other animals kind worthless. I don't see the point of adding it when we already have a deer. When this guy gets released (as usual, the new creatures are a lot better) and then megaloceras will get left in the dust. Then once the TLC drops in, its most like the deer will get some ability it can do with its antlers and horses won't be as special to some people and not get used. Now you're just kinda replacing old animals with new animals. This is just gonna be a deer that can't fight but has a better beaver saddle

Also for farm animal lovers. We don't need a cow or a chicken. We've got dodos that produce a lot of eggs. And the phiomia functions as both a pig and a cow.

I hope the Megaloceros gets more than a mechanics update... The model royally sucked from day one.

  13. Cluster all servers and add Tribe Levels with a limited number of Perks useful to the unique situations of various players. For example, a general perk "Watchmen" that alerts you when your base or tames are under attack even if you're offline at the time, or a perk for small tribes "Stand Your Ground" that increases your tamed dino and structure resistance against attacks from larger tribes (simple calculation that automatically excludes already overpowered alphas), for large tribes you might have a perk called Advanced Chemistry that extends the duration and potency of chemicals by 25% and so on an so forth... All of these are useful in their own way but only specific tribes would want them and if you had enough perks available with a very limited number of points you could end up with some unique combinations and priorities that would mix up both PvP and PvE.
