  1. such an interesting species to add. never see Aerosteon anywhere in paleomedia. im for it
  2. Mesoblattinidae Giganticus: The Giant Cockroach Time Period: Early Jurassic Diet: Omnivorous Temperament: Neutral Wild: Cockroach… why must there be giant cockroaches… To be fair, if anything were to survive an apocalyptic event like the element corruption, it would be cockroaches. This ancient roach seems to have evolved way more than I thought in size and power. It seems to have a major resemblance to the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach I've seen in my own time. This giant insect seems to manage to survive out in the corrupted wastelands. They like to be more around the tar pit area or the entrance to the sunken forest. Anywhere they can stick in the shade rather than in direct sunlight. They scavenge the dead lands to find whatever they can eat. How they tolerate the taste of those corrupted creatures is beyond me. I discovered that there are big mite-like creatures that live on this cockroach and seem to benefit it in some way. Feeling them run over my body still gives me the shivers. Be extremely careful though, they lay othecca which are their egg sacs all over the place that can give birth to the most grotesque little babies that will try and kill you for their first meal… Taming: Taming one of these big slobs isn't as easy as I thought it would be. Their thick exoskeleton makes them impervious to any tranq, so don’t bother. First things first, you have to go out and find a roach then kill it. Once dead, you have to catch and claim some ROACH MITES that live on this creature. They’re quite fast so having a creature that can pounce on them like a raptor will help a lot. Next, you will have to belittle this creature to a near death experience. With their armor being even tougher than that of a Stegosaurus, you’re gonna need some serious firepower to do that. I find rolling them on their back is the best way to do damage. Once lowered to 10% health, the creature will scurry at insane speed. Don’t lose track of it as you will have to find it once more. Once you have found it, go around and kill corrupted creatures, the bigger they are, the better the effectiveness. The roach will be distracted as you’ll be able to climb on its back and place some ROACH MITES that you acquired from killing other roaches. Rinse and repeat until you’ve tamed yourself a roach! Abilities - Climbing - To no surprise, these roaches can climb on any surface. Making them great for getting around the map. 60% Damage Reduction - The Roach’s thick exoskeleton makes them impervious to almost any attack. Even more than most armored dinosaurs like the Stegosaurus. However, if it gets on its back, the roach will be much more vulnerable to heavier damage. Hissing - This roach can hiss very loudly to intimidate other creatures that may want to feed on them. This causes a debuff similar to the Mammoth that lowers attack damage by half. Mite Healing/Armor buff - These little mites that live on this cockroach seem to help the creature by giving it a longer life expectancy. If in a jam, the roach can toss these mites onto your allied creatures and boost health regeneration and damage resistance tremendously. This really comes in handy when doing the OSD or having to face off against the Titans. You can stack up to 5 to 6 mites at a time. However they will eventually fall off or die in a short amount of time. Use them wisely. Element Harvester: The roach has a special enzyme in its saliva that allows it to safely harvest element veins without being corrupted. Might explain how they are able to eat corrupted creatures with no issues.
