  1. I have always wanted the Quetzal to be improved because right now there rather useless in PvP and PvE, other than transporting resources. The real life Quetzal was an apex predator and I would really like to see that approach to it in Ark 2. A Mosa improvement would also be nice, but all views of Arat (the planet Ark 2 is going to take place on) seem to be mostly land with only lakes and rivers. So I'm worried that there isn't even going to be an ocean 😟.
  2. People tame low leveled creatures (like 5's and 10's) and breed the low leveled stats in (usually movement speed, oxygen, and food) leaving space in the 450 level cap to get stat points in the 200's on just health or melee. This is completely legit it just requires taming of low levels and breeding in their crap stats in useless stats.
  3. Ark desperately needs more birds and currently only has 13. So, behold the Aepyornis! Dossier Species: Aepyornis Maximus Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Wild: Aepyornis is the largest bird I have ever seen in these Arks. These giant beasts are highly territorial and they like to have personal space. Approaching an Aepyornis will provoke it, and it will relentlessly attack with repeated pecks and powerful stomps. Aepyornis swallow rocks to help grind up the plants it eats, but they can also spit out those rocks as projectiles like a sniper rifle, using its keen bird eyes to give it incredible accuracy. When in peaceful scenarios, Aepyornis will sit down and relax. While sitting, the Aepyornis will occasionally preen or dust bathe. Preening seems to make the Aepyornis’s feathers more aerodynamic, allowing increased speed while dust bathing sicks dirt to the Aepyornis’s feathers, acting as a form of armor. Domesticated: Tamed Aepyornis make amazing mounts. They can run extremely fast, especially if you have it preen its feathers first, and their powerful legs allow it to jump incredibly high and far. Aepyornis are also great in combat, being able to peck, stomp, and spit rocks at opponents as well as armor up by dust bathing for extra defense. Sadly, because preening would clean the dirt out of its feathers and dust bathing would ruffle up its feathers, it cant get both the preening and dust bathing benefits at the same time. Size Spawn Info Aepyornis live throughout the fertile region of Aberration and spawn in packs of 2-4. Taming Method To tame an Aepyornis, you must wait for it to sit down, and then approach it. You will want to crouch and have a full ghillie suit to prevent it from aggroing. Once you are close enough, you will get a prompt to “Clean feathers” which will give you a “Aepyornis friend” buff making Aepyornis passive to you and then you can feed the Aepyornis passively. It will continue to sit down and you will have to continue cleaning its feathers to keep the friend buff and to not drop its taming effectiveness. Repeat until tamed. Controls and Abilities Base stats: 700 health. 750 stamina. 150 oxygen. 2000 food. 350 weight. 100% melee damage. 100% movement speed. 500 torpidity. Requires a saddle to ride, which is learned at level 60. Passives: Radiation immune, fall damage immune, 50% weight reduction on stone (to be able to carry lots of ammo for its rock spit). Aepyornis Bleed (passive): Certain attacks apply Aepyornis bleed. Each stack adds 1 damage per second bleed (does actual damage like Deinonychus bleed) and stacks infinitely (example: 2 stacks = 2 damage bleed tick, 100 stacks = 100 damage bleed tick). One stack will dissipate every second. Can be applied to bosses. (Space, A, X) Jump: Incredible jump height and distance that is comparable to Karkinos. (LC, RT, R2) Peck: High attack speed but low damage low AoE attack. Attack speed of 2 attacks per second. Applies one stack of Aepyornis Bleed per hit. Can pick up stones of the ground with 2x the efficiency of a player. Hold (RC, LT, L2) Aim Rock Spit: Replaces (LC, RT, R2) with Rock Spit. Rock Spit: Requires 1 stone. The Aepyornis spits a high velocity rock in the direction you are aiming. The rock does high damage and applies 10 stacks of Aepyornis Bleed. Has a 5 second cooldown (C, RS, RS) Stomp: High damage and AoE attack, but has a 5 second cooldown. Can be used in the air to slam down, dealing extra damage based on how far you fell slamming down. Does not apply Aepyornis Bleed. (X, LB, L1) Sit: The Aepyornis enters Sitting Stance and can’t move. Hitting the button again will cause the Aepyornis to leave Sitting Stance. Sitting Stance Controls: (LC, RT, R2) Preen: The Aepyornis preens its feathers applying the “Smooth Feathers” effect to itself, which gives a 20% movement speed increase for 30 seconds. Counteracts the “Dirt Armor” effect. (RC, LT, L2) Same as normal stance. (C, RS, RS) Dust Bathe: The Aepyornis dust bathes applying the “Dirt Armor” effect to itself, which gives a 50% damage reduction for 30 seconds. Counteracts the “Smooth Feathers” effect. Special Item: Aepyornis Feathers: Once tamed, you can use the radial wheel to collect Aepyornis Feathers from it. Doing so will give you 25 Aepyornis Feathers and collecting has a 10-minute cooldown. The feathers can be used as a substitute for pelt and to make Aepyornis Feather Pillow. Aepyornis Feather Pillow: Cost: 50 Aepyornis Feathers, 25 Hide. Crafted in the inventory of an Aepyornis. Can be placed on a bed or bunk bed to reduce the respawn timer on that bed and allows you to fast travel from that bed without dropping your items. Two pillows can be attached to a bunk bed to further reduce the reduce the respawn timer. I hope you like the idea. Please help it get to the top ten. 4. It should be able to shoot its armor plate rocks at enemies from of your shoulder.
  5. A lot of people want a strong herbivore, so I hope you like my submission.
  6. Diet: Herbivore Behavior: Neutral Dossier: Wild: Megalonyx is a gentle ground sloth that lives throughout the forests and tundras of this Ark. But don't be fooled by its gentle nature. If provoked, the Megalonyx will relentlessly defend itself with its long, sharp claws, swinging them in a wide arc in front of itself. The Megalonyx can also has a wide arsenal of abilities such as picking up creatures and slaming them into the ground, throwing volleys of small stones, and a powerful spear tackle. The most formidable ability in the Megalonyx’s arsenal is the ability to enter a defensive stance, standing on its hind legs and raising its front legs defensively like a boxer. If hit, it will retaliate with a powerful counterattack. Domesticated: If you manage to tame a Megalonyx, you will find yourself with a powerful brawler at your disposal. Clever use of the Megalonyx’s block and counter ability will allow you to take down even the strongest of creatures. The Megalonyx can even deflect projectiles with the counterattack, even bullets! Alas, the Megalonyx will stagger if you attempt to block a Guardian or Overseer’s attacks, absorbing the damage but being incapable of counterattacking. The Megalonyx would be slightly larger than a megatherium and would live in forests and snow biomes throughout Ragnarok. Taming method: Attack the Megalonyx and get it to enter its blocking stance. When it is in its blocking stance approach it and feed it, which will give taming and have it exit its blocking stance. Repeat until tamed. Abilities: Requires a saddle to ride. Left click| Claw Swing: The Megalonyx swings its claws in a wide arc in front of it. This attack has powerful knock back and inflicts deinonychus-style bleed. Good at harvesting wood and fiber. Hold Left click| Spear Tackle: While holding down left click, a bar above your hot bar will start to fill. If you release when full (it charges fast) the Megalonyx will do a spear tackle forward, dealing 2x the damage of the claw swing. Right click| Block Stance: The Megalonyx will stand on its hind legs and raise its front arms defensively like a boxer. If it is hit, it will swing its arms down in a counterattack, dealing extra damage based on how powerful the blocked hit was and has powerful knock back. If a melee attack was blocked, it will take 90% reduced damage from the attack blocked. If a ranged attack was blocked, it will deal no damage to the Megalonyx and the projectile will be reflected at the shooter, this includes spines, arrows, and even bullets! You cant walk in this stance, but you can turn to face different directions. If you attempt to block a boss’s or titan’s attack it will stagger the Megalonyx and it will not perform a counterattack or reflect projectiles, but it will still reduce the damage taken by 90%. The Megalonyx can stay in block stance for 10 seconds before being forced to leave it. Hitting the button again will end the ability prematurely and make it return to normal stance. The block stance has a 20 second cooldown. C| Pickup Slam: The Megalonyx will quickly reach out its arm and grab creatures up to a thyla’s size and proceed to slam them into the ground, dealing about half the damage of the claw swing and applying a debuff that reduces their damage and movement speed by 50%. Ctrl| Stone Throw: The Megalonyx will grab a small stone off the ground and throw it with about arrow like velocity and range. The Megalonyx must stop moving to use this attack. Can continue to throw stones repeatedly if Ctrl is held down. I hope you like the idea. I made sure the Megalonyx was not too similar to the only current ground sloth in Ark, the megatherium. Reply with some suggestions to improve it.
