For their sake I hope it's a temp tat. Imagine trying to explain to your grandchildren years for now that you dropped an easy breezy hundred plus bucks on a tattoo of a buggy game -
Even as a man with tattoos I can't bring myself to fathom what would posses someone to get an ark themed tattoo. It's a fun game yeah but not quite what I'd call tattoo worthy. To each their own I guess.

How 'bout no? Seriously, why make a giga competitor and immediately give it something to make it outcompete the thing it's meant to counter outright?

And what's wrong with allowing players on your server to donate if they so choose? As long as the money is going directly to the server (I.e. You accept donations only through the rental service so you can't just pull money as you please), you don't *rely* on donations to keep the server up/threaten shutdowns if you don't get them, and you aren't letting donations color your biases in how things are handled in game there shouldn't be an issue.

You got a link to list those statistics? Also are you factoring in unofficial servers to your percentages or only the officials? Either way I feel you're also failing to factor in the age of the game. Ark doesn't quite have the staying power of other old games such as tf2 and as its been listed that this year is Ark1's last hurrah before priorities shift to the sequel it really shouldn't be surprising that players aren't as active now. Giving a boost week after week won't really change that in the long run when there are servers that are simply permaboosted. -
You mean "you" want, not the "community" wants. Say it as it is. Ah, but if people do that it becomes impossible to use the mass as a shield when a reproach happens! Can't have that can we?

Huh. It occurs to me I never bothered to see if fenrir can don the ghost direwolf costumes. Allegedly there's a saddle for them so I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check.

Why? Just go to unofficial if you want a server that always has a boost. No one makes you play official.

What could it realistically bring to the table at this point that the other large theropods don't?

Presumably all but aberration and perhaps the genesis maps. The warcry bit is also applicable to shadowmanes and to a species limited extent wolves and dinopithecus. A lot of overlaps in this creature that people were against seeing in others.

Haven't watched it, are their complaints just complaints or actual criticisms?

Personally I'd say they need a tlc with their own gnash/bleed ability. Smilodon's teeth weren't just there for show, they were theorized to bleed their prey by slashing with their fangs since they were too brittle to be used in a killing bite. A pounce would be nice too, it's a feline behavior that transcends species after all.

I don't think that's really an minority opinion. Most people simply don't bother talking about the art, doesn't necessarily mean they dislike it

Pretty sure they're done making or adding maps. Also do remember that they didn't really make new maps for dinos, they made dinos for new maps.

Huh. Yeah it sorta does now that you point it out. It's just a slightly more spikey giga design wise, honestly wouldn't have been surprised to see it implemented as a skin like the brachy skin for the brontosaurus. I think this is one of those instances where they'd have been better off contacting the fanmade design's creator for the right to use it rather than making a new one. Not to discredit the designer who made the art but it kinda just makes me think of what happens when you let a kid design a dinosaur as it is now.

The only large theropod on ab since its introduction was the spino, I doubt they'd change it any time soon. Crazy how people harped on sinomacrops and dinopithecus overshadowing other creatures abilities but most are silent about this creature innit? It's basically a pack lead allo, giga, and yuty rolled into one creature but there's not been a peep from the people who once fussed. Really activates the almonds.

That more or less what some people said it would be all the way back to last year's vote. Going by the dossier it's essentially a giga with a yuty roar and stego style tail sweep attack.

Pretty sure the last or second to last cc said the EVO had ended on the 22nd. At the time of my post it wasn't particularly long ago.

You say that as if the official servers aren't gonna go poof at some point. Sooner or later they all go, at least with unofficial the blow can be softened by not having spent a week raising babies around the clock because you chose a server that had a more palatable maturation rate

Are all of you people asking for EVO serious right now? It's been five damn days since the last EVO. How many do you need in a row before you finally realize that you can just go to a boosted unofficial instead of begging like paupers?

My brother in Christ, why would they use PAX to announce something as trivial as a dinosaur that wasn't even the winner in either of the votes it was in? A myriad of things to talk about regarding actual future projects and you think they'd waste time for charcharo instead of, say, news about ark2? That would be beyond smooth brained.

Oh most definitely. I'm not necessarily harping on it being the dino it is specifically, after all I said a few months back that i'd have been against any creature that lost the vote being added. What's got me rankled enough to cast shame on Cyberra is more so the idea that anyone would actually be so self centered as to quibble about something so unimportant compared to the death of a man.
