    The illustration makes me think the saddle is inside the spikes. Which honestly would be pretty cool if the creature was bigger and instead of riding on the side or on the top you rode inside a metal box beneath the spikes and used a camera or windows to see out, similar to the thought process behind the Magmasaur.
