  1. Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok Started of by going out and harvesting some resources. Really needed to stock up on metal and crystal. So took out the poison wyvern and the anky and farmed up the metal nodes in the central canyon and filled up the industrial forge and let it cook up. Then went to my favourite crystal spawn near the desert and farmed up all the crystal. Then moved on to the fun stuff. Went out on the fire wyvern into the snow cave to hit up the drops without much luck. Then decided to hit up some ice wyvern eggs. Again not much luck only found 2 eggs in total one of which spoiled instantly. Annoyingly I found a 175 wild wyvern but not the egg, the nest being occupied by a low level egg (the one which spoiled). Tried losing it in the trees and came back later but still no luck. Moved onto the desert drops and had more luck. Mostly junk realy but found a new ascendant crossbow blueprint which is much bettet than my old bp and better than the premade one I found on the last trip round the desert. Then flew back to base making a slight detour past a few of the ice wyvern nest in the hope some had spawned but nothing again.
  2. Started of by hatching up the next batch of rex eggs I had saved up from last night. Didnt get lucky with this brood but I did get the male with all the colours and all the stats but the melee so I kept that one to breed with the good female, so with the next batch all I need to do is get lucky with the melee stat coming from the female. Fried the rest with the lightning wyvern. Then decided to take one of the taming traps I had saved up for the snow biomes and install it into the central canyons instead for taming spinos since I now have the kibble. Got that built up and then kited a 140 female spino into the trap and downed it. Tamed it up then took my wyvern back to base leaving the spino in the trap, and crafted up the saddle. Returned to the spino by glide suit (great fun jumping into the canyons from my base), saddled it up and walked it back to base before logging off.
  3. Started off the evening by disposing of the rex I tamed last night since the stats didnt make the cut. Also picked up the scorpion I left to tame last night. Then got together with @d1nk to do a bit of theri breeding. Bred up a bunch of eggs with our different theris. Got a nice black and red rhino baby off of d1nk too which was great, now just need to get a male to go with it. Gifted him some rex and dimorph eggs too. I hatched up a bunch of rex eggs but I didnt get the male I needed with the stats and the colour so I nuked the entire brood and bred up some more to hatch another night. Then went out and tamed up a female argent for kibble. I am wanting to stock up some kibble for taming spinos with. Would love to tame some spinos on ragnarok to transfer across to the aberation map to help me set up when the season server switches to aberation later in the month and it would be good to have a batch of kibble to tame up some aberant spinos when the time comes too (assuming the transfer setting allow for this). I need to do a similiar thing with oviraptors at some point too so i can tame up some aberant megalos.
  4. As usual I went into Ark with a plan and ark throws a curve ball. Instead of farming resources and taming quetals I tried to tame rexs. No sooner had I logged in I find a 145 rex outaide my base. So of course I kite it all the way to my taming pen near green ob and downed it. Wasnt impressed with the stats but decide to tame it anyway but with mutton. So I fly to the highlands for the ovis spawn to find none, not one. Tried forcing them to spawn but no luck with that. So fly back to the rex and tame it up with prime meat. Of course when I put the meat on it I did actually find out that I did hit it with one more arrow than I should have and had ruined the taming efficiency. So i wip the prime out of the inventory and left it to wake up. Did a quick run round the desert drops and got the usual bps such as the riot and fur but lucked out on a new ascendant crossbow which is better than my current bp, just a shame it wasnt a bp. Back at base I found a 135 wild mesopithicus just hanging around outside my breeding barn, mustn't have completely blocked all the spawns on my base. So I decided to tame it as I have never ever in all my time in ark tamed one. Basically am not a big fan of primates as a group, this extends to gigantopithicus too, so I never had the impulse to tame them. So I raid the imprinting kibble fridge for dodo kibble and tamed myself a meso. Also decided that the two female scorpions were not pulling theyre weight enough for the amount of eggs I needed for taming so I tamed up two more to increase the kibble output to cope with the rate of rex taming. Went back to the taming pen to find the rex was awake. Tried feeding it to heal it up a bit by dropping in a galli into the trap. Was at this point I realised that there was two raptors also in the trap and chowing down on the rex and the rex was not defending itself. So I killed the raptors but they left the rex bloody. I tried feeding the rex by leaving corpses of the raptors in there but he wasnt for eating. So I decide to risk it and knock it out anyway. Unfortunately tranqing again killed the rex... must have only been a dart or two from knocking it out... At which point the shout out came from @d1nk that there was a 150 rex by the coast in the South west. Decided it was to far away from any trap I had so I risked it and just knocked it out without a trap, letting my thyla tank the rex while I knocked it out. Thankfully it went down without going for a swim, and I tamed it. Decided to leave it where it was and I would drag it back to base another night. Was too tired to remeber whats stats I had so I checked the rexs back at base. To my disgust the new rex only had about half the health and the exact mellee stat of my current breeding pair. Am glad I didnt drag it back to base, I'll probably have my lightning wyvern deal with it next time I am on.....
  5. Sounds like a plan to me Been a while since I tamed up one. I have been meaning to do it for a while and I think I have enough kibble for 2 to 3 max level quetzs. Sounds good I am fine with the rexs. Really need to get more traps set up in rex spawns around the map. Could do with having a peak at @DJRone89 legendary taming raft. Found the best place for theris is just outside my base, between mine and DJs ,and also the canyon floor. Been avoiding crash central despite the good theri pickings lol.
  6. I'll be on tonight at some point ? I have a pair of rexs and theris to start of too but I think I need to work on getting better stats. Also trying to work on getting a rhino. I could tame up a quetz for it but I have two taming traps ready to be installed in the snow biomes for rhinos and yutys. Really dont fancy solo taming a quetz even with a griffin but I might give it a try.
  7. Played a bit during the day today on my day off after attemping to get some job applications done. Key word attempting. Anyway basically did a bit more breeding with my rexes this time. I want to get the good stats from the two good rexs I have with the colours I want. I want to combine the blue/black top of the female with the white underbelly of the male, it would give me a perfect starting pair of breeders. Ok the stats arent wonderful but its a place to start. I struck lucky with the first egg hatching the perfect colour combo female with the stats. Now all I need to do is get the same but male but thats for another day or evening lol With the dimorph breeding I finally got the female with the stats and the colours I need so now I have the breeding pair of dimorphs I want. Of course at this point I ran out of time before the servers daily restart and I decided to call it until the update hit. Never did get back on as nitrado are understandably taking their time updating the servers. I just wanted to tame a tek raptor tonight
  8. Spent some time hunting for some otters. Went around the spawns with my bary and ichyornis in the hope of finding a high level otter, maybe even a blue event coloured one before the colours change with the new extinction chronicle. Took a while to find the first one, but eventually started finding them. Ended up just jumping between the two spawns I know by green ob. First couple were low level males but I tamed them anyway because they took so long to find. Finally lucked out on a 135 male, it was even an event coloured one, but absolutely ugly, blue belly and greyish on top. Bred the dimorphs again. Got the hp and mellee stat onto one dimorph, now to get stats with the colour I want , black with blue highlights from one of thw other dimorphs I have. Finally managed to hatch a male with the stats and the colours but still need a female. Started crafting up some more taming traps. Looking to install one or two into the snow biomes to start taming yutys and maybe even rhinos. Never tamed a rhino before but apparantly they are good at the boss fights so what the heck, if nothing else itll be fun.
  9. Spent most of the night chasing dimorphodons. Tamed up a few high level ones, mostly 130s and above. Unfortunately the high stats I am after (hp and mellee) are in two different males so I need to do a bit of work to get them into one dimorph. Got the first stage done and got the mellee stat into a female. The next job will be getting the hp stat into a dimorph with the mellee stat but thats for another evening.
  10. Ah glad to hear that, just put that down about a day ago and didnt fancy having to relocate it. Huh that base isnt springing to my mind atm.
  11. Yeah the blue ob thing sucks.... shame you have had to move already I had hoped you were far enough away. I feel your pain. I have a taming pen set up across the water from your new base, so let me know if it causes you any problems and I'll dismantle it. Of course feel free to use it in the mean time, I always leave my traps unlocked lol
  12. Did a bit of resource gathering and did a round of drop hunting and hitting up the ice cave and desert loot crates. Got really lucky today with loot including an ascendant longneck bp, ascendant gas mask, ascendant chainsaw, a mc flamethrower bp and some ascendant fur leggings. Crafted up the longneck as its going to be so much better than my journeyman one I am using for taming. Came across a 140 female rex (a nice white/light purple rex) so of course I had to kite it to my trap and tame it. Of course I didnt luck out on the stats, the other two rexs I already have have the better stats but itll do for breeding or kibble. Also came across a 145 male vulture in the desert so I tamed it up and I now have a breeding pair of vultures to play around with. I guess theyll be good for caving. Still trying to get around to taming some dimorphs for similiar purposes as I prefer them over the vultures, just because vultures dont really do it for me.
  13. This time it was just a quick one, didnt get distracted tonight lol. Tonight I went out on an adventure to the Carnivorous Caverns on thylo-back to grab the two artifacts found there. Went in from the northern entrance and my goodness I forgot how dark it was there, am glad I waited till I got a bulbdog. Dodged the megalosaurus taking out the occasional one I woke up and the megalania didnt seem to mind me much which was great because I forgot they spawned there and I was paranoid about megarabies. Eventually found my way to the artifact of the cunning and finally to the artifact of the immune and went back to base. Installed them into the breeding barn as well as the other two I had. Now have the immune, cunning, strong and brute. The only other one I have a chance at getting solo will the the devourer but I need to start taming water tames for that first. As for the other artifacts I doubt I could do the ice cave, jungle dungeon and lifes labyrinth solo. Even as a group I dont look forward to the labyrinth but I am getting ahead of myself lol.
  14. *Sigh* I was hoping for a short play on Ark tonight as you know, long day at work and probably just as long tommorow, but of course there isnt just a quick nip onto Ark lol. Decided that I really needed to tame a theri so I went out for a quick look on the wyvern. Could do with the theri for the fiber collection (this ascendant thylo saddle wont make itself and thats a lot of fiber) as well as for breeding. Barely made it over the base walls and I spotted a drop dead gorgeous event blue 135 female rex, so of course I had to tame that. Levels a bit lower than I am aiming for but at the very least it would be a good breeder just for the colour and also it would give me a female as an egg layer for rex kibble. So I kited it all the way down the valley to my rex trap on my wyvern and knocked it out. Of course I used all of my scorpion kibble on the last rex and the scorpion in the kibble barn really needs to start pulling its weight in there, so mutton from the highlands it was. Tamed up the rex and took it back to base. The stats aren't great. The hp is just god awful but at least the stam and melee is higher than the male. But isnt she just gorgeous, love the blue body and dark blue back although not sold on the purple underneath. Am going to say its just as good a colour as the easter coloured one I tamed on the last server I was on. Love anything blue or cyan. Then a quick scout around the theri spawns that I know about. Nothing too special just low levels. Even risked the area around blue ob but didnt hang around long incase a dashboard struck. Just as I thought about logging of for the night I find the dream 150 strolling along the canyon floor near my base. So I picked it up, took it back to the taming pen at my base and tamed it up. Thank goodness it only took 30 minutes on the boosted rates, although still longer than I was hoping for tonight. Did a quick fiber run on the new theri and crafted up the ascendant thylo saddle and saddled up my imprinted thylo with it before logging off.
  15. Its great to finaly get the base move finished, can finally start doing stuff again. I took full advantage of the recently completed kibble farm and raised up myself a fully imprinted thylo and bary. Saddled them both up with journeyman saddles, I had a premade thylo saddle out a drop and I crafted up the bary saddle from a bp I had. Noticed a 145 male rex down in the green ob valley, so I rushed to assemble a rex pitfall trap in the valley below my base. Once completed, I lured the rex into the trap with my new thylo, downed the thing and tamed it. My first rex tame of this server, about time lol ! Towed the thing back to base. Had a few hiccups with a microraptor and the flock of wild argies did a real number on the rex with out a saddle on it, lost quiet a bit of health, but got it back all the same. I really need to find out if the new trap can deal with gigas, I guess thats the next project for when one spawns in the valley. Went out on the wyvern exploring the drops in the ice cave and desert. The ice cave drops were just awful but I had more luck with the desert ones. Got not one but two ascendant giga saddles (if only I had gigas to stick them on), some fur gear/bp and more ascendant riot. Struck lucky with a ringed red drop and got an ascendant thylo saddle bp, cant wait to craft it up and put it on the new thylo. Took a chainsaw for a spin as I had it on good authority it was good for collecting hide and oh my goodness what have I been missing all this time lol. Sooooo much hide, I really need to get a good bp, currently running around with a primitive and it doesnt last lol.
  16. You sure I am too far up at my base ? Because building the pipe all the way to the river is exactly what I did and it works fine lol Had to work backwards anyway because of the cooker. I always work backwards with pipes anyway.
  17. Never suggested... just a saying.... ? I hang fire on nuking whats left at my base and hook you up with one or maybe a breeding pair if theres one there. Might as well go to a good home.
  18. Moved the kibble dinos across to the new base today. OMG it was an absolute chore. Ended up moving the dinos en masse on a raft much closer to the new base, throwing down anchor just by the canyons and then flying them by wyvern to the new barn. Took me two raft trips and countless trips back and forth on the wyvern, to move everything. Saved me flying all the way back to the old base and back again and again and also reduced the risk of a blue ob disconnect giving me grief. Still took forever but well worth it, I am being snowed under by the amount of eggs they are producing, am glad I only tamed two of each animal haha. Added the last few touches to the base. Installed the chemistry bench and industrial cooker. Hooking up the cooker to the water source was a nightmare, had to install one heck of a pipe all the way to the river. Also bit the bulet and installed a new green house and decommissioned the one at my old base. Now that I have moved base I cant wait to start progressing again lol
  19. Most definitely a PvE server. But yes I have also just moved to that location and thats the style of building I am going with. Love species x as they require very little little upkeep.
  20. I could hook you up with some barys or thylos if your desperate. Got some spares sitting around from breeding that I am going to cull instead of moving to the new base. Huh I should really get around to trying to use a chainsaw then. Never really used them.
  21. So on my day off instead of doing something useful with my life I spent most of it playing ark instead. Which was great as I pushed and finally got all the buildings at the new base completed and furnish most of them. Just need to install a chem bench and industrial cooker. Not looking forward to installing the pipe needed for the cooker. Managed to transport alot of the resources across from the old base and a few dinos as well. Got the main building and both of the stables, with one of the stables with a wee landing pad ontop of it for wyverns and possibly other flyers, here. Copied the stable build from the last base and a similiar style of build for the main building. And here we have the new breeding barn (with the massive gate, my usual dsign) and the new kibble barn. The breeding barn should be ready to go, incubator has been installed as well as all the trimmings (fridges, preserving bins etc) Just need to move all the kibble dinos over now.... what fun that shall be... Once the buildings were complete I had to rush and get some foundations spawn blockers down (yuck but needs must) and install some plant species x for anti air and anti land dinos defense. Had a few argents and alpha raptors invade my base (one alpha raptor dealt with by @d1nk, thanks for dealing with that), the raptors spawning in the middle of the compound while the argent, well just flew in of course. At one point I thought my thorny was a gonner when the alpha raptor attacked. Hopefully the plant x will do the job but I think I have found a few blind spots but we shall see how it goes. Finally met up with @d1nk after avoiding each other as a result of different times zones lol. Of course he got the base tour. Even nipped round to his to pick up some of the plant species x seeds. Wow the base has grown since I last saw. Looking good !
  22. Eeccckk am still in the process of building up and moving in. Still need to install blocking foundations and am planning those plant species x batteries too . Thanks for the heads up.
  23. Still building up at the new base. Didnt get much done tonight, only got one of the stables complete, had hoped to have started one the other buildings as well but no luck. Started moving over some creatures (just the breeder barys and thylos) to the new base and into the new stables.
  24. Continued with the base relocation. Yet again it seemed to take for ever to do anything. Basically farmed up resources for most of the evening. Began to install the electrics into the house, basically just the genny and a couple of lights. Installed the behomoth gates and so blocking off my base area from the local wildlife... hopefully.... thankfully I didnt need to many gates. Got the stone foundations down for one of the stables, the new breeding barn and the new kibble barn. Still unsure about moving the kibble farm over to the new base but at the very least the building will get uswd for something. I guess for the kibble farm to actually work it'll need to be at the new base so that the dinos are actually within render diatance and so lay eggs...
