Lol I am just to laid back to rush anywhere in Ark, love taking my time. I love helping too but I feel like your doing all the heavy lifting haha. Been busy recently. Yeah definatly need to mic up. Only problem is your going to get me stuffed full of a late summer cold lol. I wont say no to a crab, not a big fan of invertebrates like crabs as animals but their utility is just too good to pass up. Your too kind , need to try and pay you back at somepoint ?

No idea about the fishing but with mutations its just a numbers game really. Some times you get lucky and get some quickly, other times you go for ages with nothing. Hatch lots and hope, what I wouldnt give for the S+ egg incubator/collector for breeding, would make getting masses of eggs down bearable lol.

And before Charmander it was Umbreon ? Cheers for that . Ment to pop by yours last night but you seemed to be afking and I wasnt on for long.

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Aberration Just a quick one tonight. Had all the essential resource gathering dinos now but the roll rat. So I grabbed the dire bear and harvested up some honey from a bee hive located within my perimeter wall. Went out and had a quick look for a roll rat and decided to tame up a low level 80, the rest were lower. Tamed it up but mucked up one of the honey throws so lost a bit of taming efficiency. Of course to craft the saddle for the rat I needed to be level 58, so I took the spino out for a run and went up and down the river system murdering everything. Oh my word the kill message spam lol thats a lot of fish. Got to level 60 without an issue. Then I realised that I needed 400 metal and I still hadnt sorted out the metal situation. I couldnt be bothered transfering it across fron Ragnarok and I couldnt be bothered to reallocate brain power to think out a solution tonight after a day at work so I called it a night lol. I'll work it out tommorow, just trying to work out if I want to build a wee outpost near one of the metal spawns by the glow tail cave, and run the metal back to base.

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok and Aberration Seem to spend most of the time today transferring more supplies across to Aberattion from Ragnarok. Tamed up a high level dire bear, doed and anky, and transfered them across. Crafted up and installed the rest of the behomoth gateways and all of the required gates, so my base on Aberation is now fully enclosed. Built the hatchery extention off the main build and installed the incubator.

Think I know where you are then. Hopefully, that would be great. ? I do know some parts of the map, like parts of the river network and the route down through blue and red to the drake trench, but the maps just so cavernous for me to get my head round it lol

Where about have you set up on Aberration ? I have no idea whos who or where on the map yet.

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok and Aberration. Started of by doing a bit of farming on Ragnarok. Needed to get some more supplies together to transfer across to Aberration. Crafted up a industrial grill, forge and chemistry bench. Crafted up a bunch of behomoth gates to go round the base too. Mind wiped so I could craft up new custom recipes to transfer over to Aberration so I was not reliant on transfers for food. Got all the supplies into the obelisk and finally remebered to transfer a bulbdog too. Jumped onto Aberration. Took a Spino to the public teleporter by portal and downloaded everything I had just transfered, and got back to base. First things first I just had to spray paint the entire building black, cant put up with the glare much longer. So much better now, although I need to paint the door a different colour as I now struggle to find it. Might have to paint some accents on the structure, maybe cyan, blue or even red, its just too black lol. Installed the grill, cooker and chemistry bench. Leaving the forge in a vault for just now untill I can decide what to do with it. Then started putting down the behomoth gates, going along the lake shore first. Just about ran into a basilisk while scouting out where the gates needed to go. So I ran back to base to grab the 3 spinos. Decided not to grab a spy glass to check its level. When I coaxed the snake out the ground, I saw the basilisk had a red glow, an alpha.... oooppsss. So I charged in anyway throwing caution to the wind. Of course the inevitable happened and its poison gas killed me off my spino. Ran back to where I died to find the 3 spinos and also my freshly transfered bulbdog still battering away at the snake. Lol come on bulbdog you can do it lol !. I was amazed it lasted that long. Just before the spinos dealt with the basilisk the bulbdog finally died... oh well at least I still have the spinos. Thats enough excitement for one evening. I think the next stop is to continue building the perimeter wall and also either tame up a doed and anky here or more than likely I'll just transfer some across from Ragnarok. Of course I'll also need to tame a roll rat.

First question. Yes. Seen a few tek stegos and a fair few tek raptors have mauled my face off. The tek dinos should be on all maps where their respective counter parts spawn. Second question I have built in the Fallen Nexus. On the South Eastern shore of the lake. Built in the exact same spot in my last play through with my tribe. Its a nice safe spot, usually... apart from a stray crab or two. Third queation. To be honest I havent a clue. Other people probably know more than I do, I only know a few areas of the map well. I guess it depends on how big you would like. Glad you enjoy the read. I like sharing my experiences and love to hear about others storys too. Wish there was more of it on the forums. Surprised anyone understands what I say half the time because I seem to post when I am uber tired and half asleep plus the phone doesnt help and I just word splurge... lol

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Aberration So I had an attempt to find the community teleporter that was reported to be around portal but no luck there. So I went back to my base to grind out the last few levels to 35 to access tge drops. Just as I hit level 35 @DJRone89 saved the day and escorted me to the teleporter. Turns out had I just gone round the corner to where I died after my first attempt I would have found it lol. So I downloaded the three spinos and all the supplies I had uploaded from Ragnarok and travelled back to base. Haha ravagers and raptors try mauling me now ! Started building the base. On Aberration I am not going for asthetic builds but going for builds that are more functional and more durable. Built the main build completely out of metal and just a box build lol. No thatch roofs here. Planning on extending out the main build to maybe include a small breeding barn or maybe dino storage but thats not my main worry at the moment Got the main furnishings in, vaults, fridges, smithy and fabricators. Installed the lights and instantly regretted my decision to build out of metal. OMG the glare off the metal from the lights, I had forgotten how bad it could be, so going to have to spray paint all the metal structures black. Still need to do more work on the build but way to tired after work to be staying up late lol.

Is the transporter at portal just now. Am there at the mo but dont have a clue where to look lol

Am already planning for those. I am all about those community builds and traps. Going to have a spino trap at the fertile lake and planning on a few small megalo pitfalls in the blue zone too. I need to do some planning and research on the crab traps, last one was just my standard trap with a tower for the cannon but it didnt really work that well. The map would be fresh I think. I already have stuff waiting for me in transfer, if I could just hit level 35 and access the loot crates lol

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Aberration Aberration Day One. Been looking forward to the season server on the cluster rotating to Aberration. Realy have missed Aberration and I am glad to get back on the map. Needless to say I died alot. Mostly trying to find and get to a loot drop to access the stuff I had tried to transfer from Ragnarok but to my disgust it turns out all the loot crates need to be level 35 to be accessible. Oh well not to worry, means I get to enjoy early game aberration for much longer. The main goal of this play through will be to get stuff like rock drakes and reapers for the main Ragnarok server. Would love to get breeding pairs of all the light pets too. Ultimate goal would be to take on Rockwell but we shall see how it goes. So I started to progress. Got a small starter shack down where I plan to build my main base. Going to build where I built on my last play through on Aberration, its reasonably 'safe' with good access to river rocks for early game metal and a gas vein nearby for when I can get a gas collector down. Died alot trying to make sure the place was reasonably safe from aggressive dinos, but eventually managed it by kiting the larger stuff to territorial herbys and just arrowing the smaller stuff to death. Got a forge together and enough metal to craft up metal tools. Then spammed wooden foundations to level up quickly and to map out where the main structure wil go. Got to about level 31 before logging of for the night.

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok Started off the night searching for a high level male spino in the central canyons. After clearing the canyon of spinos a few times with my wyvern I found a 140 male. Despite being at the opposite end of the canyon I managed to kite it to my spino trap, downed it and tamed it. Quickly flew back to base picked up a spino saddle and returned to the newly tamed spino via glide suit and walked the spino back to base. After that I went back onto the hunt for a female oviraptor for megalo kibble. Found one nearby and took it back to my taming trap and downed it. At this point I found another female right outside the trap so got that into the trap too l, downed that one aswell and left both to tame up. Started breeding spinos in anticipation of the season server on the cluster changing to Aberation. I plan to use the spinos to help me get a foothold on Aberattion but after that they wont be much use as I will have to tame native aberant spinos which will be resistant to radiation. Put a clutch of eggs down on the incubator and started breeding the two new oviraptors with my kibble barn male to get some eggs for megalosaur taming on Aberattion. Hatched up all the spino eggs and kept 4 hatchlings with the best stats. 3 males and a female. The female had a melee mutation but of course it got the lowest parent stats, but it did come with a nice lightish blue sail. Was at this point I realised I had forgotten about the oviraptors and realised the eggs started to hatch... that could have been bad lol. So I had to deal with a few stray baby oviraptors. Once I dealt with that, I fully imprinted the spinos apart from the female which gave me a bit of bother with a walk so missed out on an imprint. Not too much of a hassle really as I plan to start a new character on Aberattion rather than risk a character transfer so the imprints were only really for an increase in stats. Finished of by cooking up a ton of oviraptor kibble with the eggs that didnt end up hatching lol.

Yeah, thats the conclusion I came to too. Ah well at least I have 2 spare griffins now lol.

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok Started of by collecting up the last of the resources need to craft up a motorboat. Had to take the bary out to collect the black pearls of the west coast but had the rest of the resources. So I crafted up the boat and took it out to the coast. Launched H.M.S Its A Trap II, and as the name implies it shall be my next taming raft, an upgrade from the stone one I made ages ago. Plan is to make it completely out of metal. All I need to do now is build on the raft but not tonight. Went on the hunt for a high level male spino and a high level rex but no luck again. Was even on the look out for a female oviraptor for kibble but all I could find was males. Did find a level 162 tek raptor so tamed that up to go with the lower level one. Love the red and golden colours on it. Also found what I think is an event level 135 griffin near my griffin trap, so I tamed it up. Again the highlands seemed devoid of ovis so I had to resort to prime meat tame it. Its the second time the highlands has failed me recently for ovis. After taking it back to base for a better look I still cant tell if the griffins a natural colour or not. The more I look at it the more it looks like a natural colour, doesnt seem very red lol

Cant beat the central canyons lol but the cave is good for some obsidian

Lol I think I might have killed a few high level red/black ones ooppss. The trap is kind of in the centre of the canyons, cant miss it. Same design as the green ob one. Only thing is I cant necessarily remeber unlocking the gate, it was an eventful build... I would love a few eggs

Xbox - Nitrado Unofficial Server - Ragnarok Started of by farming up more metal, taking the wyvern and anky in to the central canyon and then onto the metal cave on the west coast and filled up the indy forge. Going to need a lot of metal as I have started to build metal structures in anticipation of the season server on the cluster changing from Scorched to Aberation. Then did a little bit of drop hunting with no luck. Also dropped by where I saw the 175 Ice wyvern a few nights ago on the off chance there was an egg but not even a nest. Then did a little bit of breeding, which I didnt mean to take up the entire night but of course it did lol. Started of by hatching up some of the eggs I got from when me and @d1nk did some theri breeding. No real luck but got a male with the good hp and melee stat so I kept that just in case. Also hatched an egg of triplets with the good melee stat and an acceptable colour combo. So I kept the triplets together and fully imprinted them fir general use. Now I have Theri, Zino and Saur Two shall be used for harvesting with one leveled in delicate harvesting and the other leveled in power harvesting. The third shall be used for general badassery. Then I started on the rexs.... which is what took most of the night. All I needed to do was hatch the male with the good melee stat but that took some time, I was also aiming for a higher level male to have all of the stats. Got a few colour mutations which was cool but didnt keep any, even including a cool neon green belly contrasting nicely with the blue which pained me to kill it. Hatched up a pair of high level triplets which for sure had a male with the stats... but no all three were female but I kept them as the new females for breeding as they were a higher level than the current female. Finally got a highish level male with the high melee stats. I kept going for a bit longer incase of anything higher then of course Ark throws the spanner in the works to my breeding plans and throws me a health mutation... lol. My current health is 9.2k and with this mutation I am now up to 9.6K. I guess if I cant find a wild rex with higher stats than I have at least I have started to stack mutations lol. I just wasnt planning on doing it this soon. I just wanted a clean base breeding pair and to keep taming to see if I couldnt find one higher. Then I had an attempt to find a high level male spino near the spino trap in the central canyons, to go with my female. I killed a few 130 and 140 females but no luck with any males. Maybe next time.

I did try this with the 175 but its hard to unagrro it once you steal an egg. Thought I managed to lose it in the vicinity of the nest and went back a few times to check for the egg and nothing

I know the feeling. While I do have all the ice wyvern egg locations I dont nessesarily know where the nest is precisely because I dont hunt them that often. I guess its a case of constantly trying to clear the nests and wyverns. Thankfully I have no difficulty with the desert drops, I have all the locations on my mini map and more conviently other people on the server have built small spawn points right next to the drops so if i find the huts I find the drops if they have spawned. Takes me about 5 minutes to go around them all.
