(Official, Valguero) Checked on the spino (doing fine), bred drakes (female, right colors, but wrong stats. Ate the egg). Bred megaloceros, the baby will be male, light gray, will keep him. He got the worse melee, but the better health. Made a saddle form my 90+ BP, it ended up with 118 armor. Used it to test the megaloceros, and, well, they're exactly like I've read on Dododex: the male is great at thatch harvesting and a decent fighter, and the female is Made Of Speed. Pretty great. Fed gachas some and decided to do something about my greenhouse. You see, the LAST time I did something about it I was excited about tek crop plots and built too many of them. And then I never bothered to decrease their numbers or at least decrease the gen's range to not cover the farthest ones anymore. But today I took down the dung beetle enclosure's fence and I took down all the tek crop plots. And one of the tek troughs (if I ever need three again, there's enough space to build the third without the need to increase the gen's range again). Then I made five crop plots (1 for each advanced crop +1 for stimberries) and placed them on the side where the dung beetle enclosure used to be, and fenced off the formerly crop plot side to make it into a new, bigger beetle enclosure. Had to build a regular trough for the beetles, as that moved them out of range of any other troughs, but it's okay. Also had to stretch a cable from the hatchery to re-power refrigerators and lampposts. And the gen now is set to perfectly reasonable 2.6. Fed gachas more, as everything I got out of them in today's first feeding was spent on crop plots, and that's all for now, but I'll log back on in about 3 hours for the megaloceros. ... Logged on 40 minutes before it was time for Aurora to give birth. While waiting I took Fenris and hunted some stuff underwater, then unpodded some dinos to put to use the levels they've gained since their last unpodding, and remembered about my beelzebufo pair, Dolores and Daniel Leapfrogs. So I unpodded them, brought them to the water pen, bred them (positioning them was pretty hard. I should somewhat weight them down next time I do it - they're too fast to stop exactly where I want them to stop). Built a 2 ceiling shelf onto the water pen's wall underwater and put an incubator on it and placed the egg in there, it's female, Dolores' light purple inherited. And then I returned to my base and waited the last 10 minutes until my first baby deer. Wen he was finally born, I first laughed at how disproportionately huge his antlers are, and then named him Cernunnos. I podded him for later and plan to raise him with full imprint. And that's all for today.

(Official, Valguero) Checked on the spino (doing good, no trough refill needed), harvested some flint and made arrows for next gacha feeding, bred rexes and gigas (nothing good, all eggs but one cracked, the remaining one went into my titanoboa's inventory - Noodle has to eat sometimes after all, and the two it has already have a good chance of spoiling before it's hungry enough). And then I decided to get a megaloceros because why not. So I took my rifle and I took my tranqs, and my harpoon cannon, and nets and my bat, and went to the edge of Redwoods. And I saw a deer, 135, male, I netted and tranqed him, and... A terror bird fell on top of him. I netted the bird and tranqed it. And tranqed it more and more until it died, for I haven't packed any weapon but my rifle or any ammo but tranq darts. But in any case the damage was done, so I killed the deer, too - didn't feel like waiting for him to wake up, the damn thing was knocked to 19% taming effectiveness. So I looked for another. For a while I found nothing. Then I saw... No. Not a deer. I saw a 135 megatherium, light colored (as it later turned out, BigFoot4), male. And I decided to get that. Netted half-tranqed, escaped from him when he got out of the net, re-netted, tranqed the rest of the way, left him to starve while I looked for a deer because I came here for a deer and I will leave with a deer. And I found another 135. Female, light gray (looks nice. Almost white). Netted, tranqed, went home to grab more kibble and more pods (because I already got an unplanned tame of a megatherum, who knows what else might happen), Returned, gave the deer kibble, and soon she was tamed. Named her Aurora, and she ended up with 30 weight and 35 melee - not bad! The megatherium was pretty hungry, so I finally gave him kibble. And went to look for a male deer. And found another 135! Netted, tranqed, tamed, 30 health and 39 stam. That's a second half of a good deer if I ever decide to breed them! Named him Rudolf. And the megatherium was soon tamed too, with 33 weight and that's it. That's the only stat he got that's better than what my older mega, Death of Bugs, has. Keeping him anyway. His name is Mega Terry. I brought them all home an that's all for today.

It's not catching u that's the problem, I think. It's the fact that unless on unofficial and modded to change the 'chops behavior, only the one you're riding would be willing to do any fighting.

(Official, Fjordur) Fed dinos. Thought about going to the cave for loot but decided against it because 1. Lazy and 2. What if I harvest a venom node out of habit despite not raising any drakes at the moment. Would be pretty rude. (Official, Extinction) Fed dinos, checked nearby for drops. There was one, but red. I don't do red. And even if it wasn't red, it was in Sulfur Fields, I prefer not to spend more time than absolutely necessary in that scorching deathtrap. (Official, Crystal Isles) Fed the trike, checked if wyverns still have enough crystals (they do). (Official, Valguero) Hatched spino, filled a maewing and a tek trough and put the spino in raising corner. Bred drakes (female, right stats, but cracked because none of the right colors were inherited). Fed gachas, but only a bit. And that's all for today.

I use them as gacha food, as they're quickly crafted, not particularly heavy, give good results, and I like harvesting flint for arrows more than I like harvesting stone, so they're more fun, too.

(Official, Valguero) Moss is adult now. I took Acidic Ocean's saddle, repainted it and put it on him, since Moss will be my main drake now (until I get one that's completely right, scales, feathers and stats). Bred gigas, rexes and spinos, one spino stays (male, health mut). Harvested fiber and flint, made arrows, fed gachas. A bit went into the gens, but most (14 element and 20+ shards) went into the vault. And that's all for today.

I got 6 VENOM, not 6 NODES. What kind of a primitive pick madman you're assuming I am? I only needed to harvest two nodes for that, and if I got 3 instead of 2 out of the first node I wouldn't even harvest a second one. I never harvest the entire cave, because I know how unpleasant it is to find it empty.

But I don't NEED more. 6 venom is good when raising one drake. It's enough now and used to be excessive earlier. I just always write how much venom I got, and I was happy about untouched nodes because sometimes people sweep the whole cave with stryders and there's no venom to get at all.

(Official, Fjordur) Went into the cave. No good loot in the crates, but all te venom nodes were untouched so I got 6 venom. Uploaded it. (Official, Valguero) Drake really loses food slowly now. Only dropped down to a bit over 2000. Retrieved venom and fed him all of it - he could fit even more, but I didn't feel like doing a second run. Just what I got will last him for quite a while. The drake has a name now, by the way, he's Moss. Bred drakes, and almost ALMOST! Right feathers, right stats... If only it was a female. But it wasn't so I cracked the egg. I don't want to raise more than I have to. Fed gachas. Didn't feel like getting mats for arrows, so used seeds and fiber. Fiber is kinda okay-ish - good amount of resource crystals, only had one loot, but it's so damn SLOW! Arrows are way better, even if about half crystals end up being loot ones. Almost all element went into the gens. And that's all for today.

(Official, Fjordur) Today started with me briefly waking up at night and deciding to use that time of awakeness to feed the drake. So I went into the cave and got venom. Only two, unfortunately. Uploaded it. (Official, Valguero) Retrieved the venom. Since there was so little of it, I gave it to the drake through a 150+ nursing effectiveness maewing. Imprinted the drake. A few hours later I woke up again, got 5 venom on (Official, Fjordur), retrieved it on (Official, Valguero), fed the drake again (he was pretty hungry - less than 3000 food left) and that's all for now. ... (Official, Fjordur) 6 more venom, uploaded along with loot (80+ sarco and deer saddles as items, and 80+ beaver saddle as BP). (Official, Valguero) Fed the drake. He ate 4 venom, I put the remaining 2 into the bin with salt. Will log back on in a few hours to feed him again. And yeah, it's not eventful, I'm just enjoying that part of ARK that's all "I can log off for hours and know that everything will be alright even though I have an unpodded baby there". ... Fed the drake again. Took Acidic Ocean and went to grab a red beacon near Beaver Lake, ten wandered close to the mountains, saw THREE alpha carnos, returned home, took Abaddon, killed carnos, returned home again and that's all for now/today.

(Official, Valguero) Unpodded drake. Bred drakes and spinos. One spino stays because I want to see if its mut looks good. Might keep for color if it does. Drake stays because health is not right but I think it got the feathers and it's female, so I'll hatch it and see. Fed gachas, all went into the gens. Uploaded a podded saddled ankylo because I want to see if it's good at getting dust. (Official, Extinction) Retrieved and tested ankylo. No good. Repodded and reuploaded. Fed dinos, spotted a vein and tried to do, but strayed too far from it when trying to find last two hostiles of the second to last wave, so it disappeared. (Official, Crystal Isles) Fed trike. (Official, Fjordur) Got five venom, uploaded it. Fed dinos. (Official, Valguero) Retrieved the ankylo ad the venom. Fed drake, he can now survive for about 11 hours! Put two remaining venom into the bin with salt, will log back on in a few hours to feed the drake again, and I think this time I'll leave him out after that. For now that's all. ... Fed the drake remaining two venom, hatched spino and drake (mut color on spino not visible, and maybe next time I'll remember that region 1 is feathers on drakes instead of just hoping that green is not on feathers and getting disappointed when it absolutely is). Drake is staying out for the night and that's all for today.

(Official, Valguero) Unpodded drake. Bred rexes and gigas, nothing good. Drakes, too - no good again. Wrong health, and it had green, which I absolutely don't need. Took Topaz Thorn and went beacon-hunting, nothing good. Went as far as the wyvern trench, even killed one wyvern and stole an egg. It was a decayed egg, though. Then took Acidic Ocean, spent some time climbing and gliding. Managed to kill and ichthy in flight while gliding, but doesn't count this time because FPS dropped so I didn't get to really see it. Returned home, checked on the drake, decided he should eat a bit so logged off and on to (Official, Fjordur). Got 2 venom, and found an 83 armor asc argy BP in a red cave crate. Uploaded venom, the BP will have to wait until next time, though - I got it after the server save. (Official, Valguero) Got venom, fed the drake one, left the other in his inventory. With his current food at his current age he can last around 8 hours, so I'll leave him out. That's all for now, will play more in a few hours. ... (Official, Fjordur) Got venom, uploaded it and the argy BP. (Official, Valguero) Imprinted drake, got venom and BP, fed drake, put extra venom into a preserving bit with salt, made a saddle from BP. Three saddles, because I wanted to get as much armor as I can (even though a workhorse argy technically doesn't even need much). Stopped at 90.2, getting there drained my hide vault. Dyed saddle, put it on Nightmare instead of her old, 82 one, and went to hunt hyaenodons and whatever to Beaver Lake. Got her a level. Returned home, bred argents (I want to try and get a second full black to level almost all melee/a bit of stam. Make a little warbird), keeping the egg but only to see it - it got a new mut, inherited wrong leg and wingtip color, and I'm pretty sure it'll be ugly as hell. Force-fed drake another venom, for now that's all, will play more yet in a few hours. ... Okay, didn't exactly "play more". Just hatched the argent (yep, ugly), killed it, took venom out of the bin, fed the drake to the max and podded him. Technically he can survive the night with his current food and age, but I've been sleeping a lot lately, so there's no guarantee that the night he can survive is the same length as my night specifically. So, podded for safety. Perhaps next time he can stay out. And that's all for today.

Crafted a bit over a hundred grenades, took tropeo and went hunting wyverns for fun, but only killed two - my aim is REALLY bad today. Returned home. Fed phiomia stimberries, loaded dung beetles up with fresh poop. Checked on the rock drake, a bit over 1600 food left. Logged off and on to (Official, Fjordur). Got five venom. Spent some time running around, breaking rocks and killing stuff because server save happened almost right after I entered the cave, so I needed to pass the time somehow. Finally uploaded venom. Fed dinos. (Official, Valguero) Got venom, fed drake. He ate four on his own, I force-fed him the fifth. He now holds a bit over 3000 food. Podded him and that's all for now (or today).

(Official, Valguero) Unpodded drake, took Turkey (my theri) and went to harvest fiber, since I was running low on it. Found the sino that I lost tat one time when connection troubles caused me to uncontrollably fly in a direction unknown to me when all I wanted to do was sino-fly off the balcony. Yep, all that time, all those carnivores, and she was still alive. Brought her back home and podded her - my current one is better anyway. Then did a second fiber run, this time in the swamp. Imprinted the drake. Then took Alduin and went beacon-hunting. Didn't get anything good, but killed two alpha carnos and spotted two more. Took Abaddon and went to kill the other two. Fed dinos. Made some more arrows, fed gachas a bit for the gens and ten some more until I had 10 element and a bit over 80 shards for the vault. Podded drake. He still has plenty of food, so I'll feed him next time. And that's all for today.

(Official, Crystal Isles) Fed trike, and got artifacts for Gamma valg. Got no plans on doing it anytime soon, but better to have them just in case. (Official, Extinction) Fed dinos. Tried to do a yellow drop, but last two dinos of the second wave never showed up and te drop disappeared even though I stayed close. Uploaded some dust I had. (Official, Valguero) Retrieved artifacts and dust. Unpodded drake, bred rexes, gigas and drakes, nothing good. Fed gachas a lot, most went into the gens. Also, turns out gachas do eat poop, actually, and that's why they sometimes drop crystals when no food was given to them. Once drake was hungry enough, logged off and onto (Official, Fjordur). Got venom, 5 of it, which turned out to be a bit too much - I overestimated my drake's ability to hold it. Uploaded it. Fed dinos. (Official, Valguero) Fed drake to the max, and then force-fed him remaining two venom because it'd decay anyway. Podded drake and that's all for today.

(Official, Valguero) Early in the morning logged on to imprint the spino. Just now logged on again, spino's still not ready for next imprint (3 more hours), bred drakes (no luck, all low stats). For now that's all. ... Logged on again, imprinted spino. He's mostly grown, so pretty sure I won't be able to get full imprint on him. Still, I got him mostly imprinted. Killed a few things with my andrewsarchus and that's all for now. ... Yes, I still count this as "today". Because I can. So. Spino is adult now. Named him Crab Eater, gave him my best saddle, repaired old hazard suit, made a second one, and went to the Abb cave. Left bat on a mushroom tree near rad zone, put hazard suit on, unpodded Crab Eater and went in. Unfortunately, got nothing good. Since the crates there have all that Abb stuff I'm pretty sure that a drake saddle CAN happen, but so far no luck. Also, starting to consider getting an abb dimorph or two, they look nice. Returned home (on t way there killed an alpha raptor), put Crab Eater into a cryofridge so that he'll be nice and leveled next time I'll need him, and that's all for today.

Harvested a ton of flint, made arrows, fed gachas a bit. (Official, Fjordur) Got venom, five of it. Uploaded. Fed dinos. (Official, Valguero) Retrieved venom, fed the drake one, put the rest into a preserving bin with salt. Fed gachas some more. Force-fed the drake another venom after a while and podded him - gonna play more in an hour or two, don't trust the drake to survive without my attention just yet. The venom should last. ... Unpodded drake again. Took Acidic Ocean and wandered around, jumping and gliding all over Chalk Hills. Returned home, fed gachas for a bit more. Checked my beehives, good thing I did - they were out of flowers. Gave them flowers. Then realized I'm getting rather tired, force-fed the drake another venom, podded him, and that's all for now (or for today) ... Unpodded drake again. Imprinted spino. Took Nightmare and went to Beaver Lake to get her some Exp, got her a level by hunting hyaenodons, and then came across a lvl 95 alpha carno. Killed it without any trouble. Then Took Acidic Ocean, climbed the tallest cliff I could find, and jumped off of it. Glided all the way to the jungle, then from there to the mountain, around the giga spawn and back to the beach near White Cliffs. Returned home, checked the drake (still doing good). Fed gachas some more. Put some of the element into the gens rest into the vault. Podded drake and that's all for today.

(Official, Valguero) With the event over the server felt better and I was finally able to properly enjoy rock drake riding. Yep, fun. Much more fun when there's no lag! Fed gachas a bit. Hatched the new drake, and yes, he looks good. He has a health mut, which isn't really important since he doesn't have good health (because is father isn't the drake I have good health on), but the color is good - SpruceGreen on scales. Hatched the spino and put him with the maewing. Bred drakes (with my other male), gigas, rexes and spinos. One drake stays (female, right stats, and I THINK she has the feathers), rest no good. Hunted and wandered for a bit. Once the drake was hungry enough, logged off and onto (Official, Fjordur). Got 3 venom, which isn't really good because I only needed one or two, as I'm only raising one very young drake. Couldn't upload it at the boss terminal because there was a 140 alpha karkinos near it. Had to look for a drop instead (no, obelisk is not an option. Too far - no good unless I'm willing to log off without returning to the base. Which I'm not). Uploaded venom. (Official, Valguero) Fed the drake, put the other two venom into a preserving bin. Fed gachas more, put most of the element into the gens. Once drake was hungry enough again fed him the second venom. Third, unfortunately, will have to decay because I podded drake and that's all for today.

(Official, Valguero) The argy and the maewing are adult now! I cryoed the maewing and saddled the argent. Bred rock drakes, one egg staying - enough colors and stats are inherited to consider it worthy of keeping. It's male, so I'll just need to get a female with the other part of stats and colors. Bred gigas, rexes and spinos - one spino stays, all the good stats, male. Will raise him with full imprint for the abb cave. Took new argy (her name is Nightmare) on a bit of a leveling trip. Got her over twenty levels. 2 points went to melee, rest into weight. Returned home, fed dinos, made a ton of arrows and fed gachas. All the element I got form them today went into the vault. Podded some of the dinos, now I'm down to a bit over 90 unpodded (used to be 105). And that's all for today.

Missions are not an option as I don't have Genesis. And sending him to Fjordur goes against my principles of "cool stuff belongs on the main base, other stuff may be sent elsewhere" as current active giga definitely counts as "cool stuff". In any case, most of the leveling on him is already done - he is a bit over 400% melee now, which is pretty close to his limit. I mentioned him getting close to next level because it's quite an event when a dino as well-leveled already as he is starts nearing yet another. ... O, and sorry for the confusion. I never clarify whether it's PVP or PVE I'm writing about because I only play PVE, and the whole "(Official, mapname)" or "modded singleplayer, mapname" started because once I described a pretty overpowered thing form a mod in an unlabeled post and got another player's hopes up accidentally, only to drop them by saying it's a mod. Ever since then I did that minimal labeling so it's clear whether what I'm writing about can happen to anyone or just to those playing modded.

PVE, dude. Can't nom unclaimed - they're tamed but not of my tribe. Can't nom claimed - only the select few (non-crystal wyverns, for example) can harm allies.

(Official, Extinction) Checked for drops, found none. Hunted for a bit, both regular dinos to feed mine, and tek ones to get some dust for when I next feel like uploading it. (Official, Crystal Isles) Fed trike. (Official, Fjordur) Fed dinos and went underwater a bit just to check it out (didn't find anything interesting). (Official, Valguero) Hatched argy and put her with the maewing. Killed most other black argents I had out, except for stam mut male, mut-free all-but-weight full black female, and clean white-legs male. Bred argents to try and get a full black all stats male, but nope. Bred rock drakes, gigas, spinos, rexes, and maewings. One maewing egg stays, everything else was no good. Fed gachas all the arrows I had. Hunted. Harvested some wood and ground it up for thatch, made arrows. Fed gachas more. Most element I got form that went into the generators. Hatched the mae egg, put baby with an adult maewing. Added more meat to both the maewing and the tek trough. For now that's all, but I'll log back on after about an hour to imprint the argent. ... Imprinted argent and maewing. And took Acidic Ocean for a bit of gliding, but that was spoiled by a FPS drop. And that's all for today.

One rex had a health mut, but I cracked it anyway because melee wasn't inherited and I didn't feel like raising it, breeding it to the mut female until I get her melee and new health on the same dino and then raising that. Hunted a bit with Acidic Rain, and then more - with Abaddon (he's almost half-way to next level!). And that's all for today.
