  1. Sorry that happened to you. I lost a level 136 character. The GM's would not respond to my ticket in time before 3 bases and 4 years of breeding lines, gear and all BPs disintegrated.
  2. Gen 584 has been kicking players the moment they connect for quite a while now. Lots of dinosaur babies are starving. I know - 1st world problems, because real babies are staving too in some places of the world. But regardless, the servers have been less than stellar today at just the wrong time.
  3. Well, I agree that the game is pretty broken - not unplayable for me, but really inconvenient and frustrating. The main server that I am on will drop everyone once or twice an hour, but only leading to one unnecessary death for me. I will say many posts here make a common mistake: pretending to know things that you could only possibly know if you worked for WC. We don't know if nobody is doing anything about it. I would imagine that they are interested in keeping people playing - that keeps a fanbase that leads to revenue, so I would assume that they are trying to fix it. I don't know either way, but it only makes sense that they are likely working on it. We also don't know that they only care about gen 2 and ark 2. It seems like at least a quarter of the posts in this forum consists of people pretending to be able to read the minds of developers that they don't likely know. This happens quite often in software development: you fix one issue and it creates another. I won't pretend to know what they are thinking and doing, but reason makes it more likely that they know about it, that they care and that they are working on it. We have had many pervasive bugs in ark that were eventually fixed before. While Ark is late in its life cycle, I don't imagine that they would willingly frustrate all of their player-base before new products come out. How many times before has this happened: there is a lingering bug in the game. It isn't fixed for several weeks and everyone screams either "they don't care" or "they don't have the skills to fix it". Then it gets fixed and everyone moves on until it happens again.

  5. I know people for whom it worked out because they were in an active tribe and had access to their base, tames, gear and the support of tribemates to do the ascensions again. But if you are a solo tribe or the only active member left, it is unlikely to be possible for those of us with jobs.
  6. Same here - I had completed every boss fight except alpha MC and had a level 6 chibi - lost my character and the GM offered to only restore to level 105 - no ascensions. They said that if I completed them before our meeting to restore that they would get me back to level 131, but for me they took years of building gear, tames, bases, planning and timing in working with others, and there is no way I could get that back with no access to bases, tames or gear. Then the GM took so long to respond that all my bases, tames and gear decayed, so I am left with nothing. I really hope it works out for you. This transfer bug is the worst, and their lack of reasonable support is insulting.
  7. I was in a similar situation - submitted a ticked minutes after my character disappeared. Contact from a GM happend a couple of days after, but then they wouldn't respond with a link to set up a meet. I sent emails asking them to extend the decay timer so that I didn't lose everything while I waited. No response. After a week I put in another ticket. By the time the same GM responded to the second one and finally offered a link to the meet calendar, all my bases, tames, gear and BPs were gone. Then the best part - the first available time was 2 months after that. I had screenshots, but they didn't do me any good because of the slow response. If you are not in an active tribe that can keep your stuff from decaying, there are not many ways out of losing years worth of progress unless you really luck out with a responsive and empathetic GM. I hope it works out for you Minerva. It is a terrible bug that has been around quite a long time. I am shocked that there is no reasonable support or response other than "sorry".
  8. I am sorry that happened to you jayespi. Some people have had luck trying to log into other servers they have been on before and finding their characters, some of us have not. Among those of us who lost our characters permanently, a few have reported success in recovering some of their progress with the help of support, but many of us were left to lose everything because the tickets were not responded to in time before all bases, tames and gear decays. I hope it works out for you - put in a ticket right away and hope you get a responsive GM. Let us know how it turns out. Hopefully you will get something back - there are some of us who lost years worth of progress.
  9. I lost everything - support was so slow that all my bases, over 250 tames, gear & BPs acquired over 3,000 hours of gameplay decayed before I was offered a chance to set an appointment. And the first available appointment was 2 months after that.
  10. A lot of us have lost characters in the past couple of weeks. I lost my character and customer support was unable or unwilling to help me in time before all my bases, tames and gear disappeared as well. I am sorry it has happened to you - this bug is just about as terrible as any game but that I have ever heard of: thousands of hours of game progress wiped out.
