Last night got on for a bit, took my thylo out for a small run. Found a 133 male (mines f) with easter colours and tamed it. Took it back to my base and finished up my breeding room, added a seperate gen so i dont need to hear my AC all the time and bred up my two thylo. I dont plan to get to crazy with them, just really wanted an imprinted one for the speed boost really. They arent even close to max level (i believe its 209 here..) id like to atleast get two 175+ before starting a breeding line. Speaking of which, forgot to log in this morning and throw more food in the troughs.. baby thylo might be dead lol I found some scorched inspiration today. Ive never even been in the caves here and from.screenshots they look amazing. So ill get up to some cave diving soon. While im there ill grab some artifact sets to start getting into Manticore. The level distribution here is nuts.. ive only seen one max level tame yet.. a wolf at the start of my play (209) and 4 203's total so far. Ive tamed one wolf at 203 and one Morellatops. I believe 203 here is the equivillant to a 145 on official. Itll be a huge chore to get some max level tames for bosses and ive yet to see a rex thats over 110. Gonna work towards getting some higher level wolves and get some pups going. Also need to tame some vultures for caves. Lots to work towards but scorched is losing its charm fast I think to mix it up ill hop on SP next weekend and attempt dragon for my story. I dont think im anywhere near ascension ready yet but hey.. i did plan this to be a long term story. Until next time fellow Arkers

Xbox Scorched Earth Unofficial Didnt do much last night, got on and fed my dinos. Installed a genny the other day to test and found out offline raid protection stops it from being damaged by SE while offline, sweet! Takes my worries away about that. Been running low on obsidian and crystal so I took my roo and hopped over to the crystal cave by red obby and made a small adobe hut inside for spawn hopping for farming. Took back the obsidian, made some CP (i miss beaver dams ha) and crafted up the poly, topped off troughs and went to bed. Next time im on ill be looking for a dung beetle and making my seperate incubation room & greenhouse. Ive almost reached my first goal of a solid wired base and unsure what ill do next Ill see how i feel in a few days when i get to play. I might mud up the SE play with some spawned abb dinos and keep on no flier, or I might start taming argys to take down Manticore. Who knows! Until next time

DILO that sucks man! I've had that happen to me countless times (well - not exact. Mines hitting the back button as i go to submit and erase all my post ><) I need to get into some better ini settings for my unofficial, ive barely scratched the surface.. makes me realize Anyhow, main reason I posted was because that poison wyv on first pic.. damn! Love the simple contrast. Event or admin coloured? Mainly wondering because of the back (blackish) colour, is it natural or a special one?

Thats pretty much what i did. I only hatched a wyvern the day before i shut down rag. Something about traversing the countryside on a land mount Oh boy 4x wisdoms.. i had that done a few years ago. I didnt get it done when i was a teen or in my 20s.. but finally did when my back bottom wisdom split in half.. talk about pain.

Hah! Well ive been playing since release.. ive done it all on official before and my biggest gripe is the game becomes really easy very quickly. Which isnt to much of a problem for most. The game is what you make it, right? You wont see me cheering and woo'ing as im getting knocked off and dying (last night i got knocked off with an inv full of nice drop loot and my roo saved my butt with 3 hp left..) but afterwards the heart is pumping and you feel more alive! I guess i like feeling that im still just an insignificant survivor braving the world

Got on for a few hours last night to find an anky worth taming. I dont know why i cant find any, this no flier play makes things a lot harder. Almost every time i go exploring on my Roo ill get knocked off by micros, gang banged by wolves or mauled by pigs. Its actually quite refreshing! Speaking of which, if you havent tried a roo.. its the best thing ever. Im starting to realize how essential its going to be to my no flier play. It collects berries like crazy, bronto-like with its kick. It collecrs cactus sap ans thatch like a madman aswell. To top it off its extremely quick, the jump and my 140 had like 800 base weight. Anyhow, back to events. Hopped around for hours looking for an anky. I was killing most wildlife trying to force a spawn, then spotted a 133 thylo. Made a stone trap and knocked it out. Had some cooked prime in my bin, rest was cooked meat and it stood up 180 or so. Afterwards i found a 168 easter anky, knocked it out but didnt really want to keep playing so i set timers and watched a movie while hopping in to restock torpor. Farmed a little metal afterwards and logged off in my mining shack. Im probably going to start grabbing some key tames from other maps next weekend, ill mull over my long term SE goals vs my story playthrough. I might go try dragon first before transferring any tames to SE to keep with storyline. Not sure yet. I want to actually live in a tek base, tek gives the same insulation on SE as thatch, so i could actually live in it here. Until next time!

Xbox Scorched Earth Unofficial Didnt get to much done today, was really hung over from a crazy wedding i went to. Moved all my tames and items from my starter base down the 'road' (river) to my new base. It was only 3 renders away and I still managed to get my nooby first tame morellatops and am equus i tamed the other night killed. Built a taming pen under my new base, there was a 182 doed i wanted to tame. Knocked it out and it took almost 2h to tame up. Farmed more pieces to complete my base, made my first fabricator here after a small exploratory trip to a mountain for crystal, sulfur and obsidian. Scouted and built a small metal outpost and searched for over 2h for a decent anky..found none worth taming. Called it a night and ill find one tomorrow

Build a grinder, you or wife grinds while one sits on rex, grab a few alts (if possible) to speed it up. Since im console (and solo) i had to do it on SP with a 2nd controller splitscreen haha Youre getting close to bosses man Great job!

My yuty i bred came out with worse hp and slightly better stam, 2.3k or something. I put stam to 3k and rest into hp for giggles(25 or 30k) . When i spam the yuty (you do courage and fear) i never seem to get close to running out of stam.. but maybe im doing it wrong haha. Most guides suggest pumping stamina, it seems its just a few prebuffs and the odd courage every few secs while fearing spam. I can tell you the hp saved my butt when i did alpha ape.. only because i was dumb and kept getti g hit by rocks. Keep in mind when you courage the bosses tend to focus you on yuty if you arent careful. Long story short.. i really dont know. Maybe @yekrucifixion187 can weigh in on it, hes a lot more of a seasonsed bosser and yuty extraordinare lol.

Xbox Scorched Earth Unoffical Started the day off like most of mine, did the chores. Topped off bins, did a quick meat and berry run. Went back out to get more wood, sand and cactus sap. Im sitting around 60 foundations, 100 walls, 40 ceilings, 20 sloped and still need more for my new base. Made another 20x founds, 50x walls and 10 ceilings. While.out farming i spotted a 140 roo. Gathered more mushrooms, went back to.clean the area and tame it. Ive been just bola'ing my tames then building stone gates around em. Quick and easy, always lots of leftover stone from clay farming too. Got this sucker tamed up with no problems. I now have a speed roo! So mucg fun. Went out on a test drive, wanted to check out a few base locales. Stopped by green ob, didnt like it to much. (For a base area) and while exploring around found an oil vein, a new metal outpost and a 203 wild wolf! Same method of tame, I always have darts, narcs and gates on me. Got a new killer. Tamed out almost level 300, 3k hp and 351 melee. After the wolf was safely back in base i went up the canyon to keep looking for a spot. I was set on a plateu near a lake, pretty much smack dab in the middle of the map. After about an hour of hanging around the place, testing a few base spots with thatch i decided to make my base slightly down more, on a two part ramp leading up to the 'upper' parts of the canyon. Went back to base and hauled over some adobe, made two walls with a stone behe gate in each on each side of the plateu and thatched out my main first building. After awhile I was satisfied with it, went back to craft all the insides, boxes, smithys, bins, pestles etc. It was getting late now, got a xbox msg from my real life buddy who was asking about my server rates. He didnt like how it was so low but it seems he joined later anyways after i went to sleep. Ill see if he continues to play. Ill tame some stuff for him later this weekend if he plans to. Got a wedding to go to today, should be a great party. Happy arking all and all a prosperus weekend!

I would say the fur on the yuty looks lavander too. (Do you hear Yannie?!) Nah that fool can eat a hat. Noone should sneak in.. but i must say itd be fun to parachute down into someones boss fight bubble. I would laugh then try to kill them (if it was my boss fight)

Didnt get much yesterday. Got on and scouted for almost 2h looking for some nice tames. I was trying to bola a 189 wild wolf and stupidly i got myself killed. Also got my purple and blue kangaroo killed too :,( Ended up retaming another kangaroo, farming a bunch more sap, wood, sand and premaking more adobe for my new base. Also gathered a bunch for some.stone behemoth gates for new place. Still getting used to scorched. Im actually kind of liking the place. I just wish there was a bit of biome diversity or more ruined cities (like rag - besides colloseum) for some more RPesque spots.

I really enjoy your stories and i hope you dont get discouraged! I hope your trade market evens out i like hearing your trades. Always been my favorite aspect of official. I think your new raises will mix up the bin a bit! Keep you more interested

Xbox Scorched Earth Unofficial (Figured id start putting that too lol) Started the day off by doing a few top up / scout runs. Got some cactus sap, berries, meat, wood and some more sand. Wood is my burden right now, I need to find a decent thorny. As im on my last run back I spotted a level 77 purple & blue kangaroo. Ive been meaning to get one and only seen low(er) levels, im no flier here so it will be my transport. Well Ive been saving mushrooms and decided id try to tame it, it has such nice colours after all. Ran back and got some taming supplies and went to see if i could find it on my Morella. It was being chased by some terror birds so I ran after them. I killed one of them and the procoptodon lept into a rock. I killed the other tbird, turned around and it was still there.. curious. I take out a bola, hit it start tranqing. Its been about 10 seconds and it isnt moving.. must be stuck! Knock it out, throw up some thatch around it and it tamed with no problems. I must say.. this thing is awesome! It came out with 750 or so base weight.. for a 77 tamed wild.. I need to get me a high level! I took the new roo out to do some exploring. Ran all up and down the Canyon (look at me, I know names now ) looking for a better base spot. Got some drops around, some decent stuff. Premade asc thorny saddle.. i really need one now. I hopped back to base and went looking around for a thorny. I was planning to tame any level 50+ i see, ive been running into very low ones. Happened across a cyan blue & yellow belly one, 133. It was within render of my base, sucker mustve just spawned. I grabbed some stone gates i had premade from the other day and set up a simple taming box. Easily walked it in and starting tranqing it was getting bloody so i switched to darts and knocked it out. A few runs around on my wolf and I had enough prime to get it about half way. I remembered to keep it starving so I wouldnt waste prime and it tamed up nicely. Only lost a few levels because of plain raw meat for the other half, did a wood run on the way back. I now have my main farmers, anky, doed, thorny and morellatops which will put me in a good position to move soon. Ive been waiting to be a bit more established and actually find a good base spot. Im still not entirely sure as of now.. but ive narrowed it down to in the canyon for sure. (Anyone know any good no flier-friendly base spots elsewhere?) Going to try to keep scouting for a new spot today and maybe get some more combat tames.

Awww i love Ab! Its hard to get used to for sure! Something about the fertile forest I love. By the way obelisks are on the surface You wouldnt be able.to get there with your tames very easily thouww. Once you move around there you learn all roads lead to red haha. Fertile area is basically split in a horseshoe above blue area

On the weekend tamed a 180 something (still figuring out levels) Morellatops. I like em. Also tamed some lowish easter Anky. Ive been living on some small cliff face in the canyon area on SE. Ive got two morellatops, a wolf and an anky and things are already getting cramped. Im going to need to expand soon and find a better spot. No fliers so it needs to be semi close to the bulk of materials. That being said i needed to start getting together a bunch of premade adobe. I went out on the morella and did a huge clay / wood run. Went through two axes and loaded up the morella. Hit a few drops and got a premade mc shotty. I need to start getting gathering tames so as im heading to base im checking all the thornys around, all low odd levels. 7, 14 etc. I got back and dropped off most of the haul and I went back out to get some cactus sap. On the way I was just goofing around and testing whether i could knock out a doed without tranqs yet. After two doeds I managed to knock out a 47. Farmed metal and wood around the area as he slowly tamed up and made the trek back to base. Im digging this no flyer play. Paired with the boosted levels really makes for a difficult go. On the way back my doed in tow almost died 3 times. The third time was from a solo 195 wild wolf. It attacked me as I was walking back on the Morella. My 'tops aint no pushover, level 310 (max wild 220 or so) with an ascendant saddle i got from a drop. This sucker brought me to 50% before it died, almost killing my doed a few times too. I was amazed it took so many hits. Got everyone back safe, tamed a green jerboa outside gates and saddled up the doed for a quick run before logging. The doed doesnt get sand weight reduction... which is as heavy as normal stone. I dont know how ill farm mass quantities, probably with a weight morella behind it i guess. I figure i should probably use stone for my exterior gates, since I get so much and its the same wood cost as making adobe. Im quickly learning wood is going to be a much needed resource for mass adobe building. Logging for the night but before id like to ask for some base spots. I scouted green ob and seen vids for red and blue.. they dont seem too great. I need somewhere i can access most materials and i guess close to water. Looks are always a bonus. My brge end result will probably be med-large if it helps

Wow great luck!! To the question, 80 arm is a good saddle for sure. For BM alpha you might be cutting it close. Its a lot harder than medium and alpha ape. Hits like a truck. When you make the saddles just gather all the mats for a bunch at a time and mindwipe all crafting skill. Good chances to get a few 100 arm saddles. One of you could ride a megatherium for brood, extra dps over a rex especially player ridden to keep up bug buff. Alpha ape is real easy as long as you dont fall down the hole. He does a bit of dmg but with 80-90 arm saddles, 40k hp and good melee you will be fine (110 element per ape aswell)

Got some time today! Started the morning off gathering bits of metal around and slowly stockpiling for clay. Still getting used to SE and saw my first sandstorm and lightning storm Got together a crossbow, a few bola and some tranq arrows, set off to explore the area and try to get a good tame. This place is so hostile! The desert armour helps a lot with water consumption and I was able to go quite a ways away. Constant barrages of raptors and saberteeth until I managed to come across a lone wolf in an empty area. I had some meat, bola'd it and tamed it with raw. 167 or so wolf. The levels are all weird.. i still dont know the max level but i figured the wolf would be a great first mount and wasnt that bad to down. Now riding the wolf I was able to scout around a lot and get a bunch of hide and cactus sap for adobe. I ran around leveling the wolf and scouting for drops. Grabbed a low drops and to my suprise got a premade asc morellatops saddle from a blue or green drop. I was already looking for one but now I have motivation. Found a level 77 one near my base and a little cliff glitching later im riding my own Morellatops Hellooo cactus sap! Theres a 140 something purple easter morella near my base, had to log for the day. Got most of my 3x3 into adobe and made a bunch of narcs with the help of my Morella. If the 140 is near ill tame it tomorrow!

Keep your eyes on some good theriz too! I personally like them more for bosses! Speaking of which, started today hatching a few more eggs. Got all my stats combined into a female at 238 hatch. Now theyre sitting 8k hp 596w 343 m596w plus some useless stats. I have about 6 of the gen 2 ones now (plus the army of 20 on island) im going to amass another group of 20 for dragon / backup. During hand feeds I wanted to finally get a wyvern here and headed out to the trench. I got real lucky, first nest i happened across a 185 lightning egg! Went back to base, hatched it (came out deep cobalt blue with dark wings & white spine feathers/scales) Went back to the scar, set up a wyvern trap and knocked out a 60 female. Forgot how easy these are. The wyv hatched with decent stats, 8.1k hp 675 stam (crap) 600 w and 305 melee. Today I decided im going to switch my Nitrado to Scorched and tranfer my character naked, put all my tames into rag / island SP and start fresh on SE (as my level 91 lol) naked, work my way up without items / help (no flyers either) until im satisfied to find some way to RP / cost my previous dinos. I will still be continuing my boss ascension lineup now that all my eggs are where I want them to be for now. Im going to make my SE server lightly boosted (2x harvest, 0.5x xp, 3 or 4x tame 8x breed) and max wild dinos 200+ (havent decided exact number yet) After a lot of research online about saves / different maps I figured out you *can* switch maps and have two different saves going with Nitrado but they only store so much data and your unplayed map is likely to get overwritten if you dont switch enough. Im not going to take that chance so im uploading most of my rag and liquifying the essentials in base but keeping the shell and bones incase i can switch back. I cant transfer eggs (tested they come out at lvl 1) so i just hatched 9 rex eggs. I have 13 rexs sitting around, im going to raise em up, transfer to rag or island and save them for future needs. Once all my raises are done i can start switching the map and rates. Long night ahead with all the rexs & transferring I need to do! Good luck Arkers! Might as well edit the last part of my night in. Got everything transferred over to SP (took hours) and after all the breeds were done I uploaded my toon and started scorched. I put difficulty override to 7, should make roughly 220 dinos. My first random spawn got instagibbed by a 211 wolf. Ahhh.. scorched Even on my lvl 91 naked char i struggled for a few hours between spawn points and areas. I finally managed to get a bed and a thatch hut in a semi secure location. Since im 91 i learnt most engrams and got a few pieces of desert cloth and a small starter shack going. Ill be busy most the day but im really excited to start again tomorrow night! Its nice fearing the wild even at a high levelm

Once you can take out alpha monkey element is a lot easier. No risk for 110 element. I can farm alpha monkey with crappy theriz (6-8k hp 300-340 melee hatch) Didnt do much myself on ark last few days. Wife has her week off and any time i do get is rewatching Game of Thrones. Finally got all 7 seasons on blu ray with epic headset.. i love it! Just logged on to maintain Rag, logged over to scorched for 45 mins or so. Recovered my body from the last time i was on, ran around that 60 raptor for ages and managed to kite it away. No way I can kill it right now being a beach bob (I guess SE id be a pond bob) Went for a small exploration and found a low level parasaur. I need hide for other things, finally manahed a bed. So I chased it around whacking with a boomerrang. Just as I almost killed it my screen froze. I thought it was a glitch until I saw myself being dragged away.. Kapro. Didnt have time to get my body lol. Maybe tonight.

I need to stay away from fliers this time, i find it makes the game ezmode but we will see later Im for sure going for Morellatops though! Never have tamed one I did get a jerboa too! First on that too lol

Realized i forgot to do an update. Sunday I decided to get with the tek grind. Went out and did a few more mats runs. With another alpha ape down, went and made a few more Tek dino gates, a few test foundations, some pillars for my base (look ugly - will not be adding lol) then decided id give real tek a try and made a genny and a tek trough. I dont really need either.. but ive never truely played with much Tek. I started using my leftover ingots to slowly convert my base to metal. Made a few walls and foundations, placed em and got bored lol Happens every time I get to metal base tier, im going to have to make it more interesting for myself. The next day I only logged on to top off troughs and logged. The day after I didnt want to play really, so after a bit of a internal debate I started a fresh scorched earth toon. I never played scorched really, my tribemates on official did most scorched stuffs and i kept to island. I figure ill give it a go on my off time. Fresh spawns, no item or dino transfers, no fliers. I might eventually transfer some dino scorched doesnt have, maybe a bear or theriz. Vanilla rates except 2x harvest and 2x dino weight. I spawned in easy zone, never really played scorched as mentioned so it was refreshing to struggle with a (almost) brand new map with different conditions. I struggled for hours trying to get a footing and get some hide. Made about 4 huts and kept getting owned by Sabres, raptors and such. Finally found somewhere i remember. That canyon with the river in it. Made it down there and set up another hut on the cliffs. Crafted a boomerang and went down to (constantly) get some water and hopefully find a raptor i can kill for some hide. Theres a pack sitting in the water, a level 5, 15 and a 60. I sat up on the cliff and started throwing my boomerang trying to hit one of em. Finally, a hit connects and they come rushing towards me. Im on a cliff, fools.. hah! ....Yeah... raptors jump now i forgot. Got owned, spawned near and made my way back into the canyon with revenge in my heart. Got my body, had to suicide again to get raptors off the cliff and near a higher one they cant pouce me on. Threw a few spears to lure them close so i can boomerang them. I didnt know the boom was a torpor inducer, so i knocked out the level 15 and 5 Went down, got my hide and threw the meat on the level 5. Tamed up really quick and i was stoked! Finally something that can help me. I threw it on follow and tried bringing it around to get up onto my little platform. Remember that level 60 raptor? Yeah I didnt. Pounced, dead. My noobie raptor died too. Got my body back, got a bit of hide from my raptor (rip) and made a sleeping bag. Not even 5 minutes later that raptor some how got up top and killed me. I accidently spawned on my bag by habit, died again and got fed up and logged The next day I found out I can change maps on my server without losing my Rag progress (thanks @DJRone89 and yes, that was me.) So im thinking i might switch map to island or SE. Not sure yet. Ill mess around on SE SP until I decide.

Dont worry the swamp fever thing is new haha. I just learnt the render trick a few weeks ago myself and been playing since first ea :p It is a full.time job trying to get meat/kibb for daedon.. i made 6 grills and went on a mutton spree, hours of work for one food refill lol

1) Swamp fever, make antidotes (or drink wyv milk its a cure all) 2) Iguanadon kibble, other kibbles or cooked meat. Level just food on them. You dont bring them in the boss fights, you just use to heal between. Fill with cooked meat, heal up. To fill its food quick simply leave render and come back. It will eat to its full food level. To give you an idea.. my daedon has 100k food and that 100k will only heal all my theriz like 20% or less, if you brought in a boss fight you would need to ride it AND have over 3k kibble to make it last.. just ride yuty. Grab a few megatherium for your brood battles,,they own there 3) Cooked meat, honestly you wont need it though. It heals to little to make a difference
