  1. I'm sorry that you misunderstood what I was asking, when I copied all of the information WC has already posted, none of which was correct. That is why I posted the information they have already given, stating it doesn't work, and asking how to actually do it. You unfortunately, didn't provide any info as to where to actually vote, and how to do it. You only provided more of WC's misinformation. Which if you had checked the link to the official rules, like you suggested I do, you also would have seen that the information WC had given, that you were about to pass on to me, was incorrect, and that #1 didn't have anything to do with voting. At which point, I would guess you wouldn't have posted incorrect information that WC had provided. I'm not blaming you for the misinformation, I blame WC. I do however wish, you had checked the link yourself first, to make sure that what WC said was there, was actually there. Thank you for trying to help. My apologies for coming off as rude. ~ArkAfterDark~
  2. I wasn't trying to be rude... However the information you gave is inaccurate. Also I'm frustrated that I have missed two of the phases of voting, which give us multiple entries to win. So I'm two vote entries behind many other people who know where and how to vote already. And I don't understand why none of the moderators have chimed in to tell us where we are supposed to be going to vote. They want us to vote, but then won't tell us where, or how, it makes 0 sense to me.
  3. Is there anyone here who really know where we go to vote? And how we vote? Because as of right now I've missed two of the phases were supposed to be able to vote in. Which means 2 less entries to win for voting, so I'm already at a huge disadvantage over others who know where to go and how to vote during each phase of thisn
  4. So since it has to be linked to our steam account if we play on PS4 or Xbox we can't vote. Actually that's not true... I was going by that because you said step #1 is how to vote but when I click that link #1is this 1. How to Enter. To enter, all eligible Submissions must be submitted online at https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/modding/enter-contest/, with a link to the contestant’s Steam Workshop in full compliance with these Official Rules, as specified, before the end of the Contest Period (“Submissions”). Submissions that are incomplete or do not adhere to these Official Rules or specifications will be disqualified at the sole discretion of Studio Wildcard So what are you talking about? This link https://survivetheark.com/index.php?/contests/1-ark-mod-contest-2019-maps/rules/ doesn't have anything there about voting especially not as #1
  5. I will say this I didn't buy Ark because of streamers, in fact I never once watched anyone streaming anything about Ark until after I had bought the game, and needed pointers, or tips, or help figuring something out. That's how I do with every game. YouTubers and streamers don't influence my purchasing decisions whatsoever. However on the other hand, to answer your question Joebl0w13, not only do people sit and watch someone else play a game, and listen to their commentary, they will also sit and watch someone else watching a movie, and listen to their commentary as well. I've noticed this is more popular in the younger millennial crowd, than the older millennial crowd, like me. My guess is mainly because us older millennials, were just starting to have access to the internet as we were growing up, and cellphones didn't all have cameras, and good web cams were pretty expensive back then, so YouTubers and the like, who post videos of themselves playing games, and watching movies and commenting on them, wasn't something we did, or had access to, but the younger millennials have. This is why older generations, and us older millennials, don't use this as a tool to decide whether or not to buy, or watch something. So yes, some streamers are the reason the younger crowd is buying these games, but no they are not the only reason it's still alive either. I don't know when the game was in early access, but I haven't owned a gaming console in years either, until 2018, so while I was deciding which console I wanted, I was also looking at games, and like someone previously mentioned, I grew up with Jurassic Park, so I wanted to play, because I wanted to play with dinosaurs, and pretend I'm in my own Jurassic World. Just because someone does things differently than the way you do them isn't a reason to argue about it, or dismiss all of their comment, because, everyone who commented about this topic of streaming, in their own way was about 50% right. Streamers do help for certain crowds, but have no influence on other crowds. It's just the way the world works. What we should focus on, is that we all care deeply about this game, in one way or another, and we should be helping each other out to make this the best game it can be, rather than bickering and dismissing each other. ~ArkAfterDark~
  6. I'm confused so I see here where it says: "Mod Voting Giveaway Remember to cast your votes for the current mod contest! At the end of the contest, there will be a raffle held for each category. Voting gets you a chance to win an ARK: Collectors Edition box set that has been signed by members of the development team!" But then when you go to the contest page Here, and click on one of the sections like Maps you see this: "VOTING RAFFLE PRIZE: (1) ARK: Collector's Edition (Xbox One) Signed by members of the development team. For every phase that you submit a vote you gain another entry for the voting raffle. The raffle will be drawn at the conclusion of the contest." So according to that we are supposed to be able to vote for Every Phase to get multiple entries to win the prize... But I have yet to see, or find anywhere to actually vote for any of them. It's not here in this article, it's not on the contest page, it's not listed under the contest maps page, it's not listed on the contest mods page, it's not even listed under the individual entries either. So where do we vote on the different phases? How do we vote on the different phases? When will we be able to vote on the different phases? Or are we actually only going to get to vote once, and the "For every phase that you submit a vote you gain another entry for the voting raffle." A typo? Because so far, I haven't been able to vote on the past phase, 5/30/29 - 6/29/19, or the current phase, 6/29/19 - 7/14/19, to get any entries to win in the contest. So why can't I vote? Or find anywhere to vote? Please help! I don't care if I win or not, while it would be nice, I just want to participate in the voting process so that maybe the map, or mod I really like, I will eventually be able to play. ~ArkAfterDark~
