GMLlefutur
Hi guys, I would like to know if I can use a cloud service like OneDrive to backup my dedicated server save files/folder automatically. I mean when using OneDrive if I keep a copy (physical copy) of the server save files/folder on my computer (to avoid data corruption as much as possible) but I ask OneDrive to synchronise only the folder with the server save files in it, do you think this is a smart idea or not? All the dedicated server files and folders will NOT be synchronise with OneDrive, only the save folder. Any other idea to auto save my server or servers in the future, because currently I am doing a manual backup every 2-3 days. Thanks
Larkfields
I use a Windows Scheduled task to run a backup script every day. Files are compressed with 7-zip and copied to a second HD in the server.
Larkfields
Note that synchronisation isn't the same as a backup. If your main file becomes corrupt (which has happened with Ark's save files), then your synchronised copy will have the same corruption.
