Zapha
Note to the forum mods: This is not a bug report, this is a rant. After the new big patch I thought: "Hey, maybe this time I can play on DX12 mostly crash-free". I tried ten times to get into the game on DX12 ... and failed 10 times. Then I played again on DX11 and got a hard freeze, where I had to hard reset my computer. And that was it for me. I decided to clear all my outposts and move all my stuff to my main base, which is now in hibbernating mode. Can only hope that I maybe in the future I will be able to play ARK ASA crashfree on DX12. But not on this map. The Island is totaly borked. Because all dev teams cramped the map full of stuff and nobody cared about the performance on the client PCs. Maybe in 5 years, when we all have better computers, this map will be playable.

Zapha
... and they are right. Like many others I was haunted from endless crashes and lag. Buying a RTX3 with 12 GB didn't helped much. I could only play on DX11, DX12 crashed always while entering. I spent another thousand bucks for a new motherboard and an i5-14600. Not one crash in two days. And I played on both, Island and Scorched. Performance is great. It was not the software or the GeForce, because drives and the Geforce were from the old system. It was only my old i3-motherboard which could not handle ARK, but is still able to run all new games, except ARK. In the end I had to pay 1500 € to play the new ARK.
