AmanaTishala
Kudos for the several different posts of ideas for this creature being posted together and everyone commenting with kindness and encouragement together! I have always felt this is all about getting the best possible options for each animal so we all should work together for that. And listing every idea gives WC more to choose from should it win! We're all in this together so it's better to work as a team to make it the best we can instead of tearing each other down for different thoughts! Makes me admire this animal more for the camaraderie I see!
Riot87
I think it's awesome that the Hatzegopteryx community is so respectful and that we can come together to make something great. Let's continue suggesting new unique ideas and Let's get the hatz in ark. Thanks for voting guys😁👍.

Kintyj
Is it ok if I throw my OG sub in here lol. Hatzegopteryx- The lord of the Skies Hat-zee-gop-ter-ix OR Hat-ze Wild -A prideful creature by nature, one does not simply fly right up to a Hatzegopteryx. They greatly value their personal space and if one sees you in its skies it will pursue you with extreme animosity. Although they generally stay up very high in the sky they do descend at dusk to hunt. If you see one on the ground it's best avoided as humans are perfectly sized prey. General -Despite being slightly larger than a Quetzal they are far better at moving while grounded, being able to sprint and turn in place while landed. This leads them to actually be effective terrestrial hunters as long as their prey is much smaller than them (more dmg to smaller things). In flight the Hatze is faster than its smaller relative, but there are drawbacks to its Imposing size and attitude. Its bulk means its flight stamina, while impressive, doesn't match the Quetzals, also unlike Arks Quetz its stubborn attitude means that it will simply refuse to fly if weighed down too much (Less weight & stam than the Quetz, Higher Speed, Damage, and Health). Taming -Hatze is too high strung when agitated for traqs to work, and conditioning with food isn't very effective because of its stubborn nature. The only way to tame a Hatze is to break it like a horse. Jump onto it from high above and hold on tight, because you're about to be taken for the most deadly ride in Ark. If you fall you'll be dead before you hit the ground, but if you prove yourself worthy you'll have a mighty new ally. Combat&Abilities -Hatzegopteryx didn't get the title of Lord for nothing, no creature is more fearsome in close range, mid-air combat. They do significantly more damage trading blows with creatures that are in its domain (Flying). They've got a great dis taste for other Massive flyers and will receive a rivalry buff similar to Trikes around enemy Hatzes and Rhyniognatha. Being as defiant as they are, Hatzes are immune to the fear effects of other creatures. They also have a diving slam attack that can knock off riders and stun fliers out of flight, but only if they are below the Hatze as it needs great momentum to pull this feat off (You really, really don't want to hit the ground attempting this). Lastly, some crazy survivors designed a Bomber saddle for it to drop bombardments of grenades from up high. This is one creature you do not want above you. Addressing Past Criticisms -Yes Hatzegopteryx in real life is a very similar creature to the Quetzal, however that doesn't mean that they have to look identical in game. WC has full creative liberties with their creature designs, and honestly the creatures we've gotten in the last few years have all looked AMAZING. -A Quetzal TLC, while nice, would not become the creature im asking for here, do you honestly believe that they would 180 a peaceful transport tame into the menace i'm asking for? They can't do that with platform creatures, they would be to OP. I feel a new creature without a platform saddle fills the role of an aggressive Pterosaur much better. -To the people whining about the saddle being OP. A bomber saddle is ALREADY IN THE GAME! Astrocetus has one, but I don't blame you for forgetting that. This would just be like an industrial tier version of the Tek saddle that the Astro already has. TLDR Apex Flyer, Aggressive in the wild, More damage to creatures & players that are flying, Bomber saddle for Blowing things up, Rival of the Rhyniognatha. (if your gonna be hater you'd better educate yourself and read the whole thing) Hatze was very likely the heaviest animal to ever fly, it's a perfect sky apex. It deserves to be in the game. Diet: Carnivore Temperament: Aggressive Wild I never imagined I would see such a big bird that seems to almost rival the mighty Quetzalcoatl in size! They do not seem to be very friendly to humans, and larger creatures don't seem to be interesting to them at all. They seem to mostly fly around the big floating island at the center of the map, it seems almost impossible for one to even come near to these flying beasts, and it seems that they almost never need to land to rest their mighty wings. Domesticating this wild creature might be near impossible. Domesticated Some survivors have attempted taming the beasts and after many failed attempts with many deaths as a result they finally succeeded in taming these flying titans. The method that ended up being a success is rather morbid though. They were taunting the beasts and since they are aggressive towards humans by nature it made them follow them home in rage. They then took out living baby dinosaurs, this made the creature stop its wrath for a short moment and it then switched target to the baby dinosaurs. The insane survivors then fed it baby dinosaurs and that kept the creature docile until it was completely domesticated by mankind. When a domesticated Hatzegopteryx seems to be an all around good flier although it doesn't have the mighty weight of a Quetzalcoatl or the speed of a pteradon, this bird is one of the mightiest air fighters ever seen. Even seems to have a kind of fighting instinct that lets it lock on to dinosaurs going into a kind of state of rapid positional changes much like the Tapejara way of flying through the air. They seems to have a certain ability to eat up small dinosaurs and getting more meat out of them, even getting prime meat out of smaller sized dinosaurs too, and if that isn't enough it has picked up a tendency if it is left by a creature its owner is in the process of taming, it will use its mighty wings to blow away hostile dinosaurs and scream to alert its owner. It has the will to save its owner from danger by flying over them, grabbing them with its beak and throwing them onto their saddle if called for. StatsIt will have less weight than a Quetzalcoatl But will be rather slower than a Pteranodon, but not as slow as a Quetzalcoatl. Abilities On the ground: Left mouse button will cause the beast to attack (if done against small creatures it will instakill it). While flying: Left mouse button will cause normal attacks similar to the very similar to a Quetzalcoatl. On the ground: Pressing spacebar makes it take off into the air While flying: Holding spacebar makes it glide down through the air, much like the Rockdrake but with the advantage of already being able to fly. Gliding makes it regain some stamina since it's almost resting while gliding down which is also well combined with the button that creates a big burst of speed sending the beast dashing forward Right click: locks on to a target for a short while, if held it will keep its focus on the nearest dinosaur(if done in the air it will hover like a Tapejara, to make combat easier) C button On the ground: Will make it flap its win in front of it making knocking back dinosaurs, even doing a little bit of damage While flying: Will make it do a dash in the targeted direction making it dive into the target doing a good amount of damage to the target and making them bleed for a short period of time. But this will also be consuming a large amount of stamina, can also be used to give the glide more momentum and travel far distances fast. / On the ground: Lets the Hatzegopteryx grab creatures in certain sizes with its beak and carry them around. While flying: It will also carry creatures but if used on a bigger hostile dinosaur it will apply a temporary bleed to the target. Rescue mode: Holding the button on the Hatzegopteryx will open the interaction wheel for the dinosaur and there will be an option called Rescue mode. With rescue mode enabled: If called upon with a whistle the Hatzegopteryx will instantly fly to its owners rescue by picking them up with its beak and throwing them onto their saddle saving them from danger. Taming protectionIt has by default the ability if it is left by a creature its owner is in the process of taming, it will use its mighty wings to blow away hostile dinosaurs and scream to alert its owner. Meat gather:When killing small creatures such as Dodo’s, compy’s, Dilo’s and Oviraptor’s, they will get insta killed and consumed immediately. They will get more meat and have a big chance to also get prime meat from them, even though they are smaller dinosaurs. This will also apply to babies. Well feed boost:When the Hatzegopteryx eats a baby dinosaur it will gain temporary increased speed and decreased stamina consumption(the speed will rival that of the wyvern).Taming: The Hatzegoperyx is by nature aggressive towards humans, so it will chase anyone in a deep rage. By luring the Hatzegoperytx to your home and show them a baby dinosaur, it will immediately switch target from you to the dinosaur, by feeding them the baby dinosaur it will progress the tamebar and the Hatzegoperytx will remain calm as long as you keep feeding it. You will have to do this until it's completely domesticated. That is honestly so cool!

Kaimen
Really love the idea of a faster, more aggressive quetzal. Game is lacking in big pterosaurs, and given the amount of water on the map, something with lots of stamina capable of soaring between its pieces of land seems very fitting. While the first submission isn't my favorite out of all the others in the comments, I do like a lot of the points people have suggested. Just gonna list the main points I'd like to see in a creature like this: - Quicker, more damage - Able to pick up some dinos, either with its talons or its massive beak - landing on water to regain stamina (sort of like the pelagornis) - A "glide" or "soar" mode that doesn't deplete stamina (or greatly reduces stamina depletion)

RebelKevin94
I have a suggestion for your hatzygopteryx, since it would probably be bigger than the quetzal, it could be big enough where you could make it pick up the giganotosaurus and charcaradontasaurus, I think that would be really cool to be able to do just like how the rhyniognatha can pick up the trex, what do you think? I believe a lot of people would like this idea 💡

The thunder clap stuns any flyers in a 15 meter radius. in order to tame this creature however you have to defeat the bosses and have tek armor.
